This is ABC 11 eyewitness news. Good morning, Carolina. I'm Bianca Holman. It's Saturday, September 26th this morning on eyewitness news. Take a look at this video. We've got a high school football game that turned into chaos, but a parent says it all started before the game. And a detective is out of a job. What an investigation uncovered about her use of flawed cameras. Plus, we're getting to know a group of grandparents representing Team USA, how they're blazing a new trail. But first off, let's go ahead and take a live look at the Raleigh Skyline.

And let's check in with meteorologist Steve Stewart. As folks get ready to enjoy their weekend, hopefully folks are up and out and about. They've let the dogs out. They've grabbed a cup of coffee and starting the day. I just took a nice little walk around the parking lot there. It's so nice outside. It feels good. The gorgeous blue sky because of low humidity, that low humidity stays with us all the way through the weekend and early into next week as well. Meantime, we're watching what she looks like a hurricane out here. This is that northeast where we've been talking about.

Here's a visible shot. You can see the circulation right about here. And of course, that's drifting off to the north. Still got some issues on our outer banks with some overwash. Really looks impressive. That storm could actually get pushed a little bit closer to New York City during the day tomorrow. Coastal flooding, a big deal, heavy rain, wind. Seas are going to be rough with beach erosion up there. Going to cause a lot of issues. Around here we're looking good. 79 sunshine, low humidity out there. As we go throughout today,

maybe you want to go ahead and get the car wash. Numbers are going to climb to the upper 70s. We don't have any rain coming anytime soon. Really should have full sunshine from start to finish. Gorgeous blue skies now, North Hills at 60. Dew point at 43. That's going to stay low as we go through the day with that breeze coming in from the northwest.

Still 50 is in Roxborough and Oxford. Only 50 there in Siller City and Sanford currently at 60 degrees. States playing tonight against the mountaineers there of App State. 71 around kickoff time. Little cool as we get later in the game. Maybe have a light jacket or a sweatshirt. You will not need that later this week. We've got a warming trend.

More on that coming up in just a few minutes. All right, Steve, thank you. Well, topping our newscast right now, we've got the numerous fights that broke out at the Friday night high school football game between Millbrook and Roseville. This prompted a game suspension and police being called. Law enforcement cleared the sold out stadium in North Raleigh, but fights started in the stands. And more fights broke out here in the parking lot. This included an escalation between young people and police. Some parents told ABC 11 the fight started even before the game began.

Another fight, just standing behind me like broke out in seconds. And I don't know what they're fighting about or how it happens so quick, but it's like it happens so quick that you're not even able to like move. or run or anything because they're like swarming you immediately. So it's like it's scary but it's like I want to stay out here to swarm my son. I don't want to leave them and like I even heard a cheerleader tell her dad like she was scared. As far as the game it was heading into overtime and it was tied at 10. We've reached out to both schools for comment but have not heard back. Well turning down to a deadly shooting at a gas station in Fayetteville last night our breaking

news crew on the scene there at the Circle K right off of I-95 in Cedar Creek Road. You can see those evidence markers surrounding a car at the gas pump and the crime scene evidence markers extend even to next door to the Pizza Hut. Just after 830, Fayetteville police responded to reports of a shots fired at the Circle K there to find a man who'd been shot. The victim died at the scene. No word on any arrest just yet. But anyone with any information is asked to contact Fayetteville and Cumberland County crime stoppers. Take it look at your screen right now. The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office needs your help identifying these two people,

connected to several fires at the Cumberland Tower's apartments on Cumberland Road in Fayetteville. According to investigators, there may be teenagers, so if you have any information, contact the Sheriff's Office. Well, a man is in custody for the death of an 86-year-old woman at a Fayetteville Golden Corral. 26-year-old Tashon Robinson is charged with involuntary manslaughter in the death of 86-year-old Marie Rosier. She died on September 3rd after a fight broke out inside the Golden Corral on Skybow Road. Investigators say Rosier was hurt while trying to move away from the altercation, and despite initial reports of shots fired, no shots were actually discharged. The state medical examiner ruled her death a homicide caused by blunt forced trauma.

Well, growing questions about the use of flot cameras after a Franklin County detective allegedly misused the system. She's now but fired. Franklin County Sheriff Kevin White identified the detective as Janet Leonard in a Facebook post. He also said the agency is suspending the use of flock following this incident. So here's Michael Perchick with the broader conversation playing out on Capitol Hill. You may not notice them as you drive by, but these flock cameras set up to capture the public's movements, even when no crime is being committed. To me, it's just a pervasive nature, right, of this technology.

Art Ewan is a former FBI special agent who now is the executive director of the Master of Engineering and Cybersecurity program at Duke. We spoke to him hours after Franklin County's sheriff Kevin White posted this lengthy message on Facebook. White shared that an audit of the agency's flock system revealed a stream of highly unusual activity leading to an investigation. He says that resulted in them discovering a detective was routinely utilizing the flock system to track the every movement of a single private citizen. I believe in his news release, he even described it as an unconstitutional search, which I agree with. Mark Williams is an attorney in Wilmington who founded Deflock ILM, an advocacy group which opposes Flock. If we all wore ankle monitors or if we all wore body cameras that transmitted our location and what we're saying to the government 24-7, that'd be very effective in solving crimes.

But is that the miracle we want to live in? Last month, Flock announced new guardrails following reports of misuse by law enforcement and broader public pushback, including. requiring law enforcement to label every search with a criminal case number, instituting an automatic review for abnormal search activities, and introducing a seven-day retention default instead of 30 days. The ability for an agency, say, in California, to query the cameras of an agency on the East Coast, in North Carolina, that to me is concerning, right? Especially if we don't know how the data is being protected. And that was on Michael Perchick's reporting. ABC 11 tried to read Sheriff White, but he did not

respond to our request for comment. We also reached out the flock, which did not get back to us and separately that deputy hung up on an eyewitness news reporter when we tried to get her response. Well, still to come, we're following a shocking arrest caught on camera what NC State has to say about their former sports medicine director's charges. Plus, it's football season. We've got several college football matchups airing today right here on ABC 11. So Steve, it's great for football weather today, though. It is. It's been fantastic out there for today. Right now looking good. are warming up. We're around the 50s to near 60 degrees after a really chilly star going to be a great day. That nor'easter continues lifting north. Still got some issues along our.

coastline, the Outer Banks with some overwash. Things should improve as we go throughout the day. We'll be a bit breezy today, but nice. Numbers climbing to the upper 70s. Good day for our round of golf out there. And again, full sunshine from start to finish. 60 at North Hills right now started out at 49 this morning. A northwesterly breeze at 6 and that breeze will be with us through the day. It might pick up a little bit later on. Mid-50s to upper 50s in Burlington. Only 50 in Silers City started out at 39 there this morning. Rather cool indeed. Duke's host. hosting William and Mary 78 and kickoff 76 by the fourth quarter. Gorgeous sunshine. Weather will not be an issue, but a little chilly for heading out tonight to see a little Wayne and two chains. The numbers coming down to near 60 by the time you're heading home. So just have that sweatshirt. The northeast will be a mess for travel today. Wind, rain, coastal impacts. There's going to be beach erosion. There's going to be a lot of issues there and a bit bumpy if you're trying to fly up there. I hear a lot of flights have been canceled already. Atlanta, Dallas, Chicago, Denver, the other major hubs are.

are looking good, but do expect delays later today in the Northeast. Got your seven day in a few minutes, Bianca. All right. See in a moment, Steve. The Roanoke Rapids High School Football Coach Chris Lyons has been suspended following an investigation into an injury sustained by a player. The Rotogabud School District says emergency services were called when a player suffered a severe hand injury following practice Thursday evening. School officials then learned the injury may have been a result of an assault or bullying. Law enforcement was then notified and began investigating and after the school interviewed more than 20 players, they uncovered additional incidents of misconduct, including bullying or hazing within the football program.

The district did not specify any alleged conduct by Lions in announcing his suspension. In Johnson County, several students at Smithfield-Salma High School are expected to face juvenile charges after two separate fights at the high school this week. One of them left a teacher injured. The most recent incident happened on Wednesday when a teacher saw two students fighting and tried to break up the fight, eventually suffering a, shoulder injury while intervening. A day earlier, four other students were involved in a separate fight inside a school bathroom. Now all six of those students involved in the fights are expected

to face juvenile charges. Still ahead on eyewitness news, it's a great day to visit the Raleigh Market, but you only have one more chance to go. But you need to know before you head to downtown. Eyewitness News has a look at body cam video that's shown the arrest of the now former NC State Director of Sports Medicine who's been charged with the sexual abuse of dozens of student athletes. Mr. Murphy, come out with your hands up.

Come out with your hands up. Leave the dog inside. Who are you talking, bro? Come on, step out. Hands up. Face the car. Hands behind your back. Hands behind your back.

Hands behind your back. Now this video is showing. moment that Robert Murphy was confronted by Florida police where he now resides before being taken into custody. Murphy worked at NC State from 2012 to 22 and eventually became the sports medicine director in the year since. A total of 32 male athletes joined a civil lawsuit saying they were abused under the medical guise of medical treatment or they were subjected to overly intrusive drug tests. That lawsuit was dismissed in June on a procedural matter, a decision which has since been appealed. In a statement, as spokesperson at NC State wrote in part, sexual misconduct of any kind is unacceptable.

The health and safety of our students and the student athletes is paramount. They are aware of the charges in cooperating with law enforcement. ABC 11 has reached out to attorneys who previously represented Murphy, but we have not heard back. A presidential visit, adding even more electricity to one of college football's biggest games this weekend. President Trump will be in Knoxville today as Tennessee hosts Texas, More than 100,000 fans are expected to pack the stadium. They're already there.

And police are telling them to get there early, which they are, and because there's going to be, of course, tighter security. And the atmosphere was already set to be electric with ESPN's College Game Day broadcasting alive from Rocky Top starting at 9 a.m. Here's Reese Davis and Kurt Herbert Strait with ESPN's College Game Day preview. What a triple header on ABC, including something never seen before in college football. UT versus UT on campus, Texas at Tennessee.

Well, great matchup, Arch Manning on an opportunity to come into an environment, of course, where his uncle was a legend player. It's another game and another example, Arch Manning has to block out all the noise and just play. Can Sark as a play caller and head coach put him in favorable situations? I thought against Ohio State in the fourth quarter, down 20. They went up tempo, allowed him to play faster. I think you'll have to play like that to win this game. 3.30 Eastern time, couple of teams with cathartic wins. Nobody had a more emotional win than Ole Miss.

Now they have to go to Florida. And that's crazy to think that last week, college game days there, they have an epic win. And now six days later, or seven days later, they've got to be able to block that out. And now they're underdogs on the road and an upstart Florida team with John Summerall that has a great running back in Jaden Ball. And a quarterback that really seems to understand this offense. They're scoring as much as anybody in the SEC. And the game in primetime, LSU lost that game to Ole Miss. A&M was upset at home by Kentucky, Aggies and the Tigers Saturday.

Yeah, the other end of this. And I'll tell you what, whoever loses this game in the world of the NIL and the transfer portal, you're in a world of hurt. There's a lot at stake for both these teams to try to find a way to win. Yeah, the challenge to keep teams together with the seems like so many of your goals are in jeopardy, and that could happen to a lot of teams by the end of Saturday. All right. But here goes a live look outside at Carrie Park.

You definitely want to be outdoors. I know there's lots of games, Steve, to be watching today for college sports. But maybe you pick a spot that has outdoor seating. There you go. Yeah. Be on the patio. Tiny bit breezy at times. It's really all it's going to be as we go throughout the day today.

And similar tomorrow, a couple of clouds will come into play. The average high, 79. We'll be right about that, right about 80 today and tomorrow. Warming up next week, though, especially Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. It's going to get up there. We can use the word hot, I think, and no rain expected. And then early season, Northeaster, really impressive to have it this early in the season. We only get about 1% of all nor'esters in September.

That continues to lift off to the north. It might actually get pushed in towards the New York City area during the day tomorrow and cause a whole lot of havoc up there. Strong winds. The seas are going to be up. Coastal flooding. Not only that, but they're going to get some heavy rain as well. Been getting rounds of rain so far.

You can see upwards of five inches around Boston, three to five inches on Long Island all the way down in New York. And even Philly is going to pick up some heavy rainfall. Not for us. We are quiet. We are dry. Do not expect to have rain as we go throughout the next seven days. We're looking good here. There's some clouds not too far away kind of coming down to the south.

So our beaches are going to have some clouds, especially the northern beaches. Upper 70s today, good day to get some of the yard work done with low humidity out there and a touch of a breeze as we go throughout the day today. could be gusting between 15 to 20 miles an hour, but you see all the rain continuing up to the north. That's going to try to push closer to us. I've added a few clouds around for the forecast tomorrow, but I'm not expecting rain. 60 into North Hills with a northwesterly breeze at six miles an hour, dew point in the low 40s, 57 Oxford, 60 into Durham, 62 into Fayetteville and southern pines at 58. And again, very dry air in place. That'll be the case not only today, but through the day tomorrow. and dry air cools quickly. The numbers coming down through the evening.

Early evening, though, pretty good if you want to fire the grill up later on for today. As we look to our Monday, highs will be near 80. There you see some of the clouds that are pushing in from the north. So I've added that to the seven-day forecast. And then a partly cloudy day on Tuesday, temperatures will be in the mid-80s for highs and will likely keep going up from there as the week goes up. Nice day in the mountains with sunshine, near 80 down around blowing rock. And the beaches will be in the 70s.

Hatteras, obviously stronger wind there. More cloud cover and also the seas are an issue of that high danger of rip currents for today. Around here today, our highs will be in the upper 70s to near 80, low humidity, little breezy at times. Nice night tonight that gorgeous moon is out there again and temperatures in the upper 40s and low 50s. First of early 7, a chilly star to a nice day tomorrow. I added a few clouds to the forecast. We'll do that again on Monday. about 85 for the high on Tuesdays.

The Keynes kick off the regular season. And look at these numbers flirting with 90 to finish the work week. Bianca. All right. Steve, thank you. The ABC 11 Together Food Drive, marking 40 years of taking care of our neighbors who need food in their homes. So it's a laborer love that's very personal to our vice president of community engagement here at ABC11, Monica Barnes. Monica has been part of the food drive since its inception in 1983, and it started as the heart of Carolina food basket. ABC 11 partnered with fire stations, volunteers, and nonprofits to get food to people in need in Durham and Fayetteville,

over and so Monica says no one has had really any idea how big this effort would become 40 years later. This on a personal level never gets old for me. Why? Simply because no one should be hungry. And when we do this every single year, there's always at least one person, if not more. When they're coming to give, to donate, they'll say, well, hey, I don't have a whole lot, but I remember what it was like when I didn't. The 40th annual ABC. ABC 11 together food drive kicks off. November 18th. Our goal this year, 100.1.4 million meals. And in case you missed it, hundreds of folks in the streets in Pinehurst last weekend to fight Alzheimer's. You can still help bring hope and support to those facing this battle. ABC 11 is a proud to partner with the Alzheimer's Association for the Walk to End Alzheimer's.

This event raises awareness as more than 7 million Americans are living with the disease. That includes 210,000 North Carolinians. It's very difficult. Susie and I always try to look for the smiles every day. Always find something good to say. We always kiss each other good night. We always still kiss each other in the morning. But there's some difficult times where you just want to go out in the garage and just scream.

The next walk is Saturday, October 3rd. That's next Saturday in downtown Raleigh. And the last is scheduled for October 24th. at the Segra Stadium in Fayetteville. But first, let's go ahead and check in with meteorologist Steve Stewart on this Saturday. We've got kids with, you know, sporting events and birthday parties and all the things. Hopefully it's a good day outside. It's hard to beat this. Yeah, it was chilly early on, warming nicely now, gorgeous, clear skies out there. So it could be a whole heck of a lot worse. We got a nor'easter off the coast. That's pushing off to the north right now. Still have some issues on the outer banks dealing with some overwash there. Things should improve as the day where it's on, but this looks like a

a tropical system out here as many nor'easters typically do and it'll be lifting north and it might push back towards New York during the day tomorrow and cause a whole slew of issues up there. Around here, just a little breezy. That's all we're going to notice. 79 degrees with gorgeous sunshine out there and low humidity. as we go throughout today, not a bad idea to get the car washed. We have no rain anytime soon.

So if your car's a bit dirty, good day for that. And we'll have sunshine and really from start to finish. Right now we're looking at gorgeous blue sky, 60 degrees. That's four degrees warmer than yesterday. That dew point staying in the lower 40s with that northwesterly breeze. Still some 50s out there in spots. 57, Silas City, 58 southern pines and Fayville currently at 62 degrees. States playing tonight if you're heading out to enjoy the game,

take a light jacket with you. As up states in town, we'll get down to the lower 60s as we get later into the evening hour. So a bit on the chilly side. As we look to next week, big warming trend. More on that coming up in just a few minutes. Bianca. All right, Steve. Thank you.

We got some breaking news this hour. And during police, they're searching for a person responsible for a stabbing overnight. It happened at Crestview Apartments on Redrive. And we sort of woman was taken to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. And police say the victim knows the suspect, but officers have not located that. that person at this time. So stay with us on air and online for updates as we get more information from Durham PD. Well, now to a developing story out of Durham. Police still searching for the gunman after a man was shot and killed early Friday morning at a popular bar on Rigsby Avenue.

You can see several ambulances and police cars responding to the scene at Pickleback 2 downtown and DPD has not released any details on a possible shooter. The bar released a statement on their social media page saying in part they're deeply saddened by the tragic death and their thoughts and condolences are with the victim's loved ones. And so the shooting did not happen inside the bar, nor was the bar involved out of respect for the victim. They will not comment any further on any further details. And you can check the bar's social media page. The bar is in full swing. They're still open. R&B singer Bobby Valentino performed at Pickleback 2 last night. And there's another performance scheduled tonight as part of their music series.

Well, but after Friday's deadly shooting in downtown Durham, the total gun instance in the city tick up to three this week. It's sparking concerns for both the community and Durham's new police chief settling into her new role. Chief Stephanie Martis delivered her first crime report to City Council with violent crime up for the second quarter compared to last year. The new chief is promising to bring those numbers down by working directly with the community. We spoke with a community member who's watched gun violence claimed the lives of her neighbors. She wants action and she says the community's patience is running out. We are willing to help. community and we are willing to help you help our community this allow us to

talk to you so you can hear it from us not from it not from a third party hear from karen wallace what karlal wallace needs here from the people who are suffering from the gun violence but want to see a change so the time is now I don't think if we don't do it now ain't anybody listening later we don't care anymore after this I don't think people gonna care anymore because we've heard it before and before and before us After two gun incidents involving teenagers this week, the chief wants to expand gun safety education. One idea was to partner up with schools to make that happen.

In Washington, the Supreme Court letting the Trump administration use a federal database to check voter rolls. The North Carolina State Board of Elections welcomes the decision, but a voting rights group says it could hurt voter turnout in the November election. The database is called Save and it checks citizenship and immigration records. North Carolina uses it to review voter rolls. In July, the state board said that the system flagged nearly 1,600 people as potential non-citizens. The state board of elections released the following statement saying, quote, the state board welcomes today's decision by the U.S. Supreme Court. Both the United States Constitution and North Carolina Constitution are clear.

You must be a citizen of the United States to register and vote in our elections. Meanwhile, a voting rights group pushing back on that decision. The federal law is unambiguous, right? states must not conduct systematic removal programs within 90 days of a federal primary or general election. This is just a continuation of that stoking of fear to ensure that certain voters that are eligible don't show up to the polls at all. And so this comes as North Carolina voters prepare for the midterm elections which are now just 38 days away. A reminder, October 9th is the last day to register to vote in person. Early voting runs from October.

15th through Halloween. You have until October 20 to request an absentee ballot. Then election day is Tuesday, November 3rd. Polls across the state will be open from 630 a.m. to 7.30 p.m. In Veaville, the Parade of Nations kicks off this morning for the 48th annual international folk festival. Several downtown streets remain closed, including the intersection of Hayes Street and Ray Avenue. Most streets will reopen after the parade except Ray Avenue from Old Street to Rowan Street. The parade begins at 10 and is expected to wrap up by noon. And if you're driving downtown, you'll want to follow the signs directing traffic around those closures. Also happening today, Gail Parkins Memorial is hosting an ovarian cancer walk and run, 5K run. And so it's happening

this morning. It exists to honor the lives affected by ovarian cancer while turning awareness and community support into research, earlier detection, better treatment, and ultimately fewer lives lost. That run is already. way right now with the walk starting up in the next half and the next hour or so funds raise support ovarian cancer research at Duke University Medical Center well do you feel like we've had a lot of water main breaks here in the triangle coming up we're taking a closer look at the findings from our ABC 11 data team and did you know that we're in the middle of a fat bear week how you can get in on the fun in Alaska but first check outside Steve yeah looking good

Other major hubs looking good, Dallas, Chicago, Denver, areas like that. But we're already seeing delays now at JFK and Philly. And I think We'll see more, especially in Boston later today. Now, this comes after announcing a $5 million investment aimed at rebuilding the region two years after Hurricane Helene devastated the region. Stein will wrap up his visit tomorrow in Asheville. And that says some North Carolina family still waiting for a safe place to call home two years after Hurricane. Helene the storm washed away 125,000 homes, but hope was on the horizon. This guy that I didn't know from Adam drove up one day and said, hey, how'd you like this,

how'd you like me to my organization to build you a house? This one took a lot of site work. The water had taken, like all this dirt that's here now is we put that there. The North Carolina nonprofit, we must protect, showed us some of the homes they've built. Their mission is rebuilding houses for families displaced by Hurricane Helene. And today actually marks two years since Hurricane Helene made landfall in Florida. The RDU Airport sharing the Spur's Eye view of the work underway on the new primary runway. Crews are busy moving nearly 5 million cubic feet of dirt to prepare for the site. The new runway will be nearly 500 feet longer than the current primary runway, allowing planes to fly farther away destinations.

And so it's being built about 500 feet northwest of the existing runway when construction is finished in 2009. The old runway will be converted to a taxiway. This is all part of the airport's multi-billion dollar transformation project. In addition to the new runway, the airport is expanding terminal to adding more parking and making improvements to John Brantley Boulevard. The North Carolina Department of Transportation would like to hear from you about improving pool road in Wake County. Those improvements would stretch the road from two lanes to four, adding a center median to separate traffic on both directions. And there's a public meeting set for Monday evening at the Barwell Road Community Center address listed there on your screen, and it's from 5 to 7 p.m.

We are local news. ABC 11 eyewitness news continues now. Well now to an I-Team investigation into a growing problem under our streets. We're looking at how often water main breaks are happening here in the triangle. And last week a big breaking carry created a mess for thousands of

customers and so an ABC news investigation and team analysis found that hundreds of water main breaks have already hit neighborhoods across the triangle this year through September 16th Durham had 141 breaks and Raleigh had 107 most involved smaller lines and no major pipe failures the findings come just days after the car break the carry break left more than 50,000 customers without water I could see you know there's so much building going on around here I can see something like that happening again. But like I said, me, we just keep moving forward. We're prepared.

That growth is real. Raleigh Water has added more than 60,000 customers in five years from $610,000 in 20201 to $670,000 in 2025. But the utility says that the problem is that more people, it's old pipes. In a statement, Raleigh Water said in part, quote, we do not expect any increase in main breaks due to increased demand. and what really drives water main breaks is age, condition of the pipes and temperature. And so Durham Water Management did not tell us what it believes the causes for their water main breaks. Last week's break and carry was blamed on aging infrastructure.

So in Washington, the Energy Department planning to spend nearly $2 billion in an effort to get more electricity out of the country's stress power grid. The Trump administration wants to avoid blackouts during this period of skyrocketing energy demand because of data centers and artificial intelligence. The money will go towards 31 projects across the country that will produce additional electricity capacity, enough to power 16 million homes. One of those projects right here in North Carolina, Duke Energy, getting $50 million in federal funding to upgrade transmission lines impacted by Hurricane Helene. They say it will reduce utility bills and customer allergies thanks to an enhanced energy grid resilience. Well, we received a $50 million Department of Energy grant, and that's going to help us accelerate some grid improvements in certain parts of our service area. especially in western North Carolina and upstate South Carolina. And those are improvements to expand capacity, to improve reliability and resiliency,

and to better serve all the customers across this growing state where we're seeing demand for electricity increase. Officials with the Trump administration say the upgrades could improve power, reliability, and lower electricity bills for nearly 100 million Americans. Well, right now, here goes a live look into Fayetteville. They've got a festival going on down there. Here soon, they've got some closed roads. So be on the wear when you head into downtown. Oh, absolutely. Yeah, fantastic. At Lebrisk this morning, I mean, we had temperatures in the 40s. It's been a long time since RDU fell down to the 40s. So a little chilly for sure. We'll be around 51 or 52 tomorrow. Morning's still cool. Pretty out there right now, though. It'll be a great day today, similar tomorrow.

Maybe a couple of clouds later in the day coming in from the north. We'll watch for that. And then warming up next week. No rain expected, but temperatures are going to be flirting with 90 degrees. Early season, noreaster, really early. early. Typically we don't get these in September very often, about 1% of the time. Heading off to the north-northeast and it might get pushed a little bit closer to New York for tomorrow and that's going to cause a lot of issues already getting some impressive rain up there.

The wind is significant. And of course, as that gets closer to New York, it's going to push that water on shore as well. So there can be a lot of coastal flooding and heavy rainfall on top of that. Many areas could see four to five inches of rain around Boston at Long Island down to New York. even Philly getting upwards of an inch to two inches of rainfall over the course of the next couple of days. No rain at all for us. We're going to be dry all the way through the work week and we're looking fair out there right now. Still some clouds out as you look towards the beaches. You might see a couple of clouds in the sky. Good day to get the yard work done as we climb to those upper 70s. The humidity stays low as we go throughout the day today.

We'll watch some of these clouds during the day tomorrow. We'll see if those can push down closer to us. I added a few clouds to the seven days. Same thing on Monday as well. 60 in the North Hills. That's about four degrees warmer than yesterday. The dew points low in the 40s. Area wide, we're seeing temperatures in the 60s right now.

And again, really low as far as those dew points are concerned. Evening planter fire the grill up folks. It's going to feel fantastic as those numbers are going to be coming down to the lower 60s as we get later in the evening hours. Your first early seven day then. Tomorrow just a few clouds got us at 80. Same temperature Monday have added a few more clouds that could be drifting in from the north. Tuesday, little warmer as the Cains kick off the regular season, and we could be flirting with 90 to finish the work week. All right, things are going to warm up again. Steve, thank you.
