Starting point is 00:00:00 There comes a point in your life when you've got to make a choice, a decision that will define not just where you're going, but who you'll become. And that choice is this. To ghost everyone in silence and focus on you. Now this isn't about running away. It's about walking away from distractions, walking away from people who don't align with your purpose, walking away from the noise, the chaos, and even the expectations that others place on you.
Starting point is 00:00:44 This is about walking towards something far greater, yourself. Because deep down, you know there's a version of you that hasn't been unleashed yet, the version that's waiting to rise, to take over, to dominate, but let me tell you something. No one's going to hand it to you. And that's where most people fall. They think greatness comes from applause, recognition or validation from others. They think their friends, their social circle, their followers will somehow push them to the top. Let me break that illusion for you.
Starting point is 00:01:34 He cares. Nobody cares about your dreams the way you do. Nobody cares if you're struggling in the dark. They're too busy chasing their own. Silence the world around you. Because distractions are killing. Because distractions are killers. They kill dreams.
Starting point is 00:02:00 They kill ambition. They kill the fire burning inside of you. You've got to get rid of it all. The constant conversations, the meaningless social media scrolling. The need to be liked. The need to be noticed. Cut it off. You see, the world doesn't need to hear from you right now.
Starting point is 00:02:30 What it needs is for you to disappear and do the work. And I'm not talking about the kind of work where you post your progress every day. I'm talking about the grind that nobody sees. The late nights, the early mornings, the sweat, the pain, the doubt, the fear. You need to face all of that alone in silence. Because that's when real transformation happens. Not when people are clapping for you. Not when you're posting your latest achievement on Instagram. Number transformation happens when you're so deep in the grind, that you forget what the outside world even looks like. You need to disappear to evolve. Imagine coming back as a ghost, silent but unstoppable. A ghost that no one saw coming and now they can't ignore. A version of you so undeniable, so powerful that everyone who ever doubted you can't help but watch in all.
Starting point is 00:03:39 That's the revenge. That's the redemption. And when you return, you don't come back with a bang. You don't need to. The bang is the work you've done in the shadows. The bang is in the way you've redefined yourself, in the way you walk into a room and own it without saying a word. Your presence will speak louder than anything you could ever say. That's what happens when you ghost the world for a while. When you focus entirely on your own journey,
Starting point is 00:04:21 you don't need to explain yourself to anyone. You don't need to justify your silence. Silence is where power lies. It's where you recalibrate. It's where you figure out who the hell you really are. You get to break yourself down, piece by piece, and rebuild yourself into something stronger, something sharper.
Starting point is 00:04:44 And you know what? It's going to hurt. Growth hurts. The loneliness will hurt. The doubts will eat at you in the middle of the night. But that's the price you pay to level up. If it were easy, everyone would do it. But the truth is, most people are too afraid to face themselves in the silence.
Starting point is 00:05:08 They're too afraid to let go of the noise, the chatter, the validation. But not you. You're different. You need that silence. You crave it, even if you don't realize it yet. Because in that silence, you'll hear the only voice that matters. Yours, and it will tell you what you need to do. It will push you harder than anyone ever could. It will reveal your weaknesses and force you to turn them into strengths. So ghost everyone. Go dark. Put your head down and grind. Don't tell people what you're doing. Don't show them until it's too late for them to do anything about it.
Starting point is 00:05:53 Because when you come back, you're going to be unrecognizable. You're going to be unstoppable. You're going to be the best version of yourself. And no one, no one will have seen it coming. And when you return, you won't need to say a word. Your success will speak for itself. Ghost, the world Work in silence
Starting point is 00:06:19 Come back as a force No one can ignore It's time to disappear Doubt is such a strange thing I mean it's You know There'll be times where you succeed And there are times that you feel
Starting point is 00:06:45 So wasting your time doubting whether you're going to be successful or not It's pointless It is You just put one foot in front of the other You control what you can't control And then you see what the outcome is Right if you win
Starting point is 00:06:59 great, you're going to have to wake up the next day and do the journey over again. If you lose, it sucks, but you're going to have to wake up the next day and do the journey all over again anyway. So it's really pointless to sit here in debate or have doubt or this any other. You train as hard as you can and you step out there and you let it flow. When life gets dark, I mean at the darkest of times, there is a light within ourselves that can guide us forward. We have the choice to follow that light, that personal enduring light that can carry us through on to victory. We are not victims.
Starting point is 00:07:34 We are victors. Listen to your inner voice. You are a victory. You will succeed. You will come out on top. The best version of yourself is yet to be revealed to the world. You have the reserves of inner strength. You have not yet tapped.
Starting point is 00:07:53 Don't let anybody ever tell you you're not good enough. Okay? And so many young people think that they can't, or they're not, they don't have the potential. Or if somebody else is better, I'll forget everything about it. I mean, you know, if you really want something bad enough, if you really, really want something bad enough, we'll figure out a way to get there. I think having a sense of urgency is very beneficial. And understanding that your time is limited can aid you greatly.
Starting point is 00:08:25 I think knowing that this is a temporary time that we have financial. life spans, there's great power in that because it motivates you, it gets you going. Most humans who could ever exist never will. And so the fact that you exist at all is against stupefying odds of who gets born and who does not. Realizing this, you are you, I and I and me, we are alive. We get to die. And to get to die means you get to live. Any moment you spend squandering those moments you are alive does disrespect to all those who will never even be born. I say chase your dreams, man. Do that thing, man, that keeps you up at night. That thing that bothers you, man, that makes you trip. You can't quit thinking about it. You always, you wake up
Starting point is 00:09:49 in the middle of the night, you got a new idea. That's what you got to chase. Because anything else it's going to disappoint you. I would hate to die and never do the thing I was born to do. Your brain will tell you to give up. Your brain is a predicting machine so it wants certainty. Giving up is certain. So in that moment, Brain's going to tell you that it's easier to give up. But if we're really honest with ourselves, the greatest discomfort of all is living with this feeling inside that you're not living the life you're meant for.
Starting point is 00:10:31 If you keep up your present disciplines and keep up the present pace that you're on, where will you be in five years? Boy, it's easy to say, hey, I haven't really thought about that. So now make this note, in five years, here's the probability. you will either arrive at a well-designed destination or an undesigned well-designed or undesigned and I promise you five years or no you really don't want to arrive at an undesigned destination because you may very well wind up wearing what you don't want to wear driving what you don't want to drive
Starting point is 00:11:03 living where you don't want to live maybe doing what you don't want to do simply because you didn't design a better destination if you You don't develop simply the ability to get up when you said you would, to eat what you said you would, to exercise because you said you would, to talk in a way to your kids that's patient because you said you would, you will never have the self-confidence to succeed in any environment. You won't. You don't need to have everything figured out to start improving your life. Everyone looks for the exact formula to transform into their ideal self.
Starting point is 00:11:40 You don't need the exact formula. You honestly don't even really need to know who your ideal. self is. You just need to know what to do today in order to wake up a better person tomorrow. You'll never be as young as you are right now. Don't wait to do shit the time is now. Everyone knows this old quote of the best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is today. And there's lots of things that you probably wish that you did 10 years ago. Lots of things that you probably think, oh, I'm too old to do now. And these are once again all limitations because you are the youngest that you're ever going to be today.
Starting point is 00:12:17 Your days are going to pass regardless. You, this whole week, this whole next week, whether you can slack off or if you really push it, the time is just going to pass. So this time you got so much of it and it's just rushing away. So, I mean, it's up to you. If the time is going to pass anyway, I think it's worth it to at least try to do something for fucking cool. Self-love means taking care of your own needs and not sacrificing the
Starting point is 00:12:46 all the time just to please other people. Too many of us, including myself and maybe you, will sacrifice our own needs, what we really need in our life, just to please other people, not to inconvenience them, not to make them uncomfortable. You know, maybe what you need to do is really pursue that dream you have right now, but you're not doing it because you don't want to make the people around you uncomfortable. Don't sacrifice your own needs just to please other people. That is not a form of self-love. Ask what they should do as if it's some sort of mystery. The fact is, know, the true separator between progress and stagnation is the action taken on the simple things that are right in front of you.
Starting point is 00:13:23 If you want to be in a life that is full of equanimity, equanimity means the calmness of the soul and a life that is full of peace, you need to be here now focusing on what you can control. Not focused on the future, but focus on what you can do today. And by natural law, for every action there's an equal and opposite reaction in the universe will give you exactly what you deserve. live a life of misery by living in the past or living in the future, but live a life of peace and equanimity by being here right now. You are getting through everything you're going through.
Starting point is 00:13:57 I just want you to give yourself some credit right now. Like you are literally getting through everything you're going through. No matter what's going on in your life is not permanent. Everything is going to change. It takes courage to be successful. It is far east. It is far easier not to be successful. Misery will always have company. Success breeds contempt. If you don't want to make waves, be mediocre. Be normal and fit in.
Starting point is 00:14:41 One thing is for sure. I feel that I had the power to create my own destiny. I try to visualize every single thing in my life. Not only believe it, but really feel it with every cell in my body. And I just want to send a message out there to every... young person, be in the present moment, forget about what happened in the past. Future is something that is just going to happen, but if you want a better future, you create it. You gotta come at it with that whatever it takes mindset. I don't care what I have to go through. I don't care who hurts me, who leaves me. I'm gonna do whatever it takes to become
Starting point is 00:15:13 the person that I was meant to be. I'm gonna do whatever it takes to win. I'm gonna do whatever it takes to get my family in a better situation. You've got to bet on you. You believe in everybody else, you clap for everybody else, you support everybody else, but when are you going to look in the mirror and believe in the darn person you see? It's about time for you to believe in you because you've got it. You are already enough and once you can fully accept who you are and where you are, it allows you to navigate where you're going so much easier instead of feeling like I'm not enough until I achieve this thing. I'm not enough until I get this person. My self, worth is in this external thing. No, your self-worth is right here. It's rooted within you.
Starting point is 00:16:02 Never regret making a decision you thought would make you happy, but it didn't. Never blame yourself for things you did that you thought would change your life, but it ended up not working out. You should be proud that you had the courage to give it a try. Not many people have that inside of them. Every experience taught you something valuable. Don't give up now, because Everything is leading you to where you need to be. What changes your life is not learning more. What changes your life is making decisions and using your personal power and taking action. That's what the definition of power is.
Starting point is 00:16:47 Look it up in the dictionary. Power. The ability to act. Achieving a goal for the sake of vain glory and sheer accomplishment will bring satisfaction. But that satisfaction will prove to be short-lived. Achieving goals that have deep meaning to us will bring us far more happiness. When we set goals that have meaning outside of our own selfish ends, we discover it's not about the destination.
Starting point is 00:17:13 It's about the journey. Once you come face to face with who you are, you have a starting point. All right, I'm not real smart. I have no courage. I have no self-esteem. I have no nothing. Nothing.
Starting point is 00:17:31 That's my starting point. Now we can move from there. Tell myself, I'm strong. I have courage. I'm smart. And all these are lies. You continuously push that starting point backwards. So that starting point is the truth.
Starting point is 00:17:47 The no fucking bullshit truth that only you can tell yourself. So it's the starting point. The truth is the starting point. The road to someday leads to a town of nowhere. It's a place you don't want to end up in. So you've got to get yourself to take action. How do you do that? You decide.
Starting point is 00:18:05 Make a decision right now you're not willing to settle for anything less than you can be. That you're not willing to live the way you're living right now, no matter how good it may seem, that you're going to push yourself to the next level. Demanding more from yourself than anybody else could possibly expect is true power. And all it takes is deciding. Remember, the word decision in its original Latin root means to cut off from. When you decide, you cut off from any other possibility. People getting let it do.
Starting point is 00:18:40 to go to jobs that they don't like, jobs that are making them sick. You see, when you're not pursuing your goal, you are literally committing spiritual suicide. When you have some goal out here that you're stretching for and reaching for that takes you out of your comfort zone, you'll find out some talents and abilities you have that you didn't know you have. If you want to make this your decade, you've got to decide to be bold. See, you've got to be bold in life. Most people go through life trying to creep.
Starting point is 00:19:08 No, no, no, no. Trying to be casual about it. No, no, no. You go for life being casual, you'll end up a casualty. You've got to be bold in life. You've got to take life on. The biggest trap that keeps people from taking action is their fear. They're a fear of failure, their fear of success,
Starting point is 00:19:27 their fear of rejection, their fear of pain, the fear of the unknown. The only way to deal with fear is face it. Look at eye to eye and take action in spite of it. If you want something bad enough, you can't let anybody tell you can't do something. do something. I'll repeat that. If you want something bad enough, you can't let anybody tell you you can't do something, not even yourself. You need to work on yourself. If you just try to be pampered, and if you're trying to be soft, and if you're trying to be the victim and those, you're not going to go anywhere. We need to get stronger. We need to get tougher. We need to not be afraid of failure.
Starting point is 00:20:17 We got to go into the work. We got to face. Adversity, adversity breeds character, the strength. We have to be willing to go through hardship, through suffering, through pain, through crying periods. All of that stuff, don't shy away from any of that because it just makes you stronger. There will be days when you give every ounce of yourself, every ounce of your soul, blood, sweat and tears, early mornings and late nights, and not see any result from all of your hard work. And the most difficult part of all of that is knowing you have to show up the next day
Starting point is 00:20:55 and do it all over again. And you may not see the result immediately. It may not come next week. But believing that eventually the result will come is what makes a champion. There's going to be days where you don't feel like showing up. There's going to be days where you're paralyzed by self-doubt and days where the distance between where you are
Starting point is 00:21:17 and where you want to be is overwhelming. I'm here to tell you that the only way to keep inching forward when those days happen is to be committed to the process. Because the ones who stay consistent, whether they feel like it or not, are the ones who see the results, not the ones who have conditional commitments on their goals. Keep going. I think when you feel stuck or dissatisfied in your life, it's a signal. And it's not a signal that your life is broken. It's a signal that one of your most basic needs are not being met.
Starting point is 00:21:52 Your need for exploration. And your soul needs exploration and growth. And the only way you'll get it is by forcing yourself to be uncomfortable. Why is life so hard? Life is never easy. If it's easy, it would be boring. Life should be hard. Embrace the hardness of life.
Starting point is 00:22:16 because through those hardships, you're learning, you're molding, and you're becoming a person. So, life should be hard. When you accept that life should be hard, then nothing is hard. Everything is easy because everything is a lesson that you can learn something from. Every day is a new day to learn something new. So what are you going to learn today? Sometimes growing and breaking feel the same. I think that sometimes growing and breaking are the same thing.
Starting point is 00:22:52 And here's something to keep in mind. In this uncomfortable season of growth, you are not the one that's breaking. What's breaking is everything that isn't you. And sometimes that hurts. Sometimes you have to go through that adversity and that challenge and that set back to activate the passion and the drive. You know, sometimes it takes the sting of defeat. Sometimes it takes the sting of heartbreak to activate something within you that was needed for you to start moving in the direction that you're meant to move, to get to where you need to be.
Starting point is 00:23:37 The right path is often going to be the hard one. It's going to be the one that requires you to believe in something with no guarantees. The one that asks you, the one that asks you, you, you you to let go of all control and walk forward in blind faith, but you know you're not walking blindly because you can see it. You can feel that there's no other choice but this. Everything you've been through has prepared you for this moment. Lean into it. Trust it. You're ready. You know, you have a decision make. Am I going to stay right here? Am I going to live my life and be happy? Which, by the way, that's what you want. There's no judgment. But what I'm saying to you is, is if you're that ambitious now and you don't keep moving,
Starting point is 00:24:18 you're going to feel bad about staying in the same spot. So it's important that we set bigger goals and that we continue to progress through life because we have to have a purpose, we have to have a drive, and the reality is our pursuit of a bigger goal produces a lot of good for people outside of ourselves. So what gifts are you suppressing
Starting point is 00:24:36 by staying in that place and being content where you are? How many lives changed? How many new ideas? How much good is now being, capped in your jar because you've decided to stay right where you are. That's something to think about. Now, stay after it. If you're maybe feeling down or you're not feeling as motivated, that's where your
Starting point is 00:25:01 discipline has to really kick in because the motivation is not always there. The discipline, that's what's got to be your backbone for progress. Even if you don't want to do it or you're not feeling motivated to do it, the discipline will keep you, you know, on that steady upward slope. Each and every day, I'm trying to be the best I can be in that day. I'm trying to maximize that day, just that day. And I think if we all can shift into focusing on the small, integral steps that go into the big changes, that's when we'll see the most growth and the most evolution in our lives.
Starting point is 00:25:40 There are four things you need to know before you go out into the world. Remember these things and you'll be the best person you can be. First, look at this pencil. We know that in order for it to become a useful pencil that from time to time again and again it's going to have to go through a resharpening. Well, if this pencil could feel, we could imagine how painful that would be.
Starting point is 00:26:16 But that's what it takes for it to be a useful pencil. Life is much the same. Painful experiences and challenges come to us all. But it's through these opportunities that we build character and we grow. Second is to keep in mind, they will be able to correct many of the mistakes you make along the way, just like this eraser. So if we learn from our mistakes, they're not mistakes. They're lessons we can use to do better than next time around.
Starting point is 00:26:47 When was the last time you wrote out your dreams? Walt Disney, Hayao Miyazaki, Leonardo da Vinci with just a paper and pen. They mapped out worlds and stories that changed the way we see reality. They built their dreams into existence way before anyone believed it was ever possible in an era of endless notification. and constant comparison, it's so easy to feel lost and aimless. But the simple act of documenting your dreams can change everything. What if you could map out the ideal version of your story, publishing a novel, running a marathon, starting a clothing line, creating a short film, whatever your dream is, every idea,
Starting point is 00:27:21 every sketch, every note is one step closer towards building a world that's authentically yours. Imagine the specific moment where you can claim victory. Imagine the moment that you actually achieve that goal that you've been dreaming about for so long, procrastinating on for so long. You've been kicking the can down the road saying, I'm going to do it tomorrow, I'm going to do it, I'm going to do it, I'm going to do it, I'm going to do it. Imagine the day that you actually achieve it.
Starting point is 00:27:50 You can cross the box off. This wasn't just some pipe dream. You made it happen. The thing that everybody told you you couldn't do, the thing you got laughed at for in the beginning, you actually did it. The fact is you're never going to have that moment unless you take the first step. You're never going to have that moment if you keep procrastinating. As sweet as that moment is, the fact is you are never going to taste it if you never take action.
Starting point is 00:28:14 You don't have self-awareness. You can't possibly change yourself. Everybody wants to think they can change themselves. That's why self-help books sell so well. A lot of that, I believe, is nonsense, a lot of what's written, because it's not realistic. You're not seeing who people really are. You're not digging underneath and getting it really motivates human behavior. So I wanted a very realistic, brutal look at the human animal.
Starting point is 00:28:36 It's not all negative. We have some positive traits. But once you realize, oh, I am capable of feeling envy, oh, I am irrational at times. Oh, I have a dark side. With that awareness, you can actually finally start to change yourself. If you go visit the darkness that you've been running from, you'll have the opportunity to leave a better person. You'll have a better understanding of yourself. You have a better understanding of your purpose.
Starting point is 00:29:07 But if you don't take that trip and the darkness comes to visit you, it's a guest that will never leave. You're not worried about what other people think about you. You're worried what you think about you. The craving we have for acceptance is not from someone else, but rather from ourselves. If who you are for yourself
Starting point is 00:29:26 is founded in self-acceptance and love, then it's not that you don't care what other people think, it just doesn't faze you anymore. Every place where you are used, so to speak, you leave you mark. You're writing your own story. Think of stumbling blocks as stepping stones and never stop writing. And fourth, always remember the most important part of you is what's inside. People who do not have the courage to do what you're doing will resent you for doing it.
Starting point is 00:29:58 You show them mirrors that they don't want to look at. When you take big risks and then the reward comes, you don't want that to happen. because then it makes them feel like they're less. If you want a new life, get ready to watch your old one shatter. And it has to in a lot of ways because who you used to be is not who you are anymore. And that's a growth thing and that's a good thing. But I think a lot of people who are afraid of growth in a way, whether they want to talk about it or not, resent the people that aren't. Because people don't want to face themselves.
Starting point is 00:30:29 You can only reach the level of what you're willing to face yourself. People don't want to face themselves. They don't want to face the pain. They don't want to sit in it. They don't want to process it. And so it makes it really hard watching other people do those things, watching other people that are brave enough to go, you know what? I may not believe in myself right now, but I am going to do this anyway because I know
Starting point is 00:30:48 somewhere at the end of this, I will get where I'm going. Find your outlet and become obsessed with it. Chase challenges that push you to your limits and let the discomfort reveal your true strength. Make yourself want to quit and then push through anyway. Get started. Be relentless. No excuses. No limits. Just results. Now get after it. Life gets easier when you realize that there is no such thing as a wrong decision. Decisions are simply pivots. Each one you make will take you down a new road that will likely be both magic and miserable, beautiful and ugly. Because life is a polarity. Easy doesn't exist without hard. Good doesn't exist without hard. Good doesn't exist without.
Starting point is 00:31:36 bad. So relax, there is no right answer. Trust that whatever decision you make can always be followed up by another decision. Beke and strong at the same time, yes, but I say be strong. Train your physical strength and exercise your mental strength by doing the right things, the hard things, the things you know you're supposed to do and be a strong, and be a strong, as you can mentally physically and emotionally for yourself for your team for your family before we know it we become something that we're not that so many people in this world they're living a life that's not theirs and what I mean by that is that they're living the life that someone else gave them they live in the life
Starting point is 00:32:57 that pain gave them they're living in life that depression gave them they live in life that a failed dream gave them and they end up becoming that that is not your identity of people you got to get back to the core of your You gotta get back to yourself. But when you decide what's most important to you, your brain goes after it. If you don't know exactly what you want or you let yourself get beyond that
Starting point is 00:33:16 to something general, you're not gonna achieve it. Clarity is power. The more clear you are about exactly what it is you want, the more your brain knows how to get there. Try not to resist the changes that come your way. Instead, let life live through you. And do not worry that your life is turning upside down and not going the way you want it to.
Starting point is 00:33:39 How do you know that the side of your way you want it to? How do you know that the side of your way? you are used to is better than the one that's to come. The quality of self-discipline is the quality that will make you a big success. It's the ability to force yourself to do what you know you should do. And here is the wonderful discovery. This persistence is self-discipline in action. Every time you persist, you build your self-discipline.
Starting point is 00:33:59 Every time you practice self-discipline, you build your ability to persist. And the two of them are tied into your self-esteem. So the more you persist, the more you like yourself. And the more you like yourself, the more discipline you have. And the more discipline you have in practice, the more you like yourself as a result, the more you persist. And eventually you get under an upward spiral where you become absolutely unstoppable. You reach the point where you know you can achieve the goal and nothing in the world can stop you. And every step that you take forward makes you stronger and stronger and stronger.
Starting point is 00:34:27 And finally people say, I know one thing about him. I know one thing about her. You cannot stop him or her. Once they decided they want something, they will not stop until they get it. And when you develop that quality, there will be nothing that is impossible to you. Go do something that's hard. Go try and accomplish something that's hard. You may win, you may lose, you may succeed, you may fail.
Starting point is 00:34:48 I'll tell you what, you'll be better. If you avoid those things that are hard, if you don't accept that challenge, if you don't step up and step into that cold water, I can tell you this is not a good move. Just get up. Move towards that challenge, whatever that challenge is. And you may be successful,
Starting point is 00:35:06 and you may not be successful, but you will be better. You have to discipline yourself. Go do something, do the best thing that you can think of, put the best plan you have into practice. It's not going to be perfect and it will change along the way, but it will change partly because you become disciplined pursuing the path. And as you become disciplined, you become wiser. And as you become wiser, you become able to formulate better and better plans. Sometimes you just need to admit to yourself that you have no idea who you are or what you're doing. Everything is changing all the time.
Starting point is 00:35:40 It's normal to have weeks where you feel lost. months where you don't recognize yourself in years that leave you with more questions than answers don't see it as a step backwards humble yourself because that's life's way of redirecting you letting you know that you have the chance to find yourself again seize the opportunity all of us nobody's perfect we failed too many times we have so many uncertainty in our life that we have to be capable when we are down to stand up. It's part of the journey, it's part of the process, it's part of our education. In my case, I'll learn the most when I'm down.
Starting point is 00:36:25 And it's good that these certain moments happen because when you are in the top of the wave, you don't see under what's going on. It's good to have problems. It's the only way that you can How do you overcome the fear of failure when trying something new? By far the easiest thing I found to deal with this is to think of every single thing in life as an experiment. It's just an experiment. So everything in life is an experiment. And therefore failure isn't really failure. Failure is just another data point. Don't let complaining conquer your life. See if you can't drive it into a small corner. That's the season of summer. Nourish your values like a mother and fight your enemies like a father. Even if you have to. to fight the enemies that are within yourself. Make this note, don't become a victim of yourself. It's possible to become a victim of tragedy. It's possible to become a victim of gossip. It's possible to become a victim of the things that happen out there,
Starting point is 00:37:36 but here's the most important thing. Don't become a victim of yourself. Forget the thief in the alley that's after your purse. What about the thief in your mind that's after your promise? People say you have to have a lot of passion for what you're doing, and it's totally true. And the reason is because it's so hard that if you don't, any rational person would give up. So if you don't love it, if you're not having fun doing it, you don't really love it, you're going to give up. And that's what happens to most people, actually.
Starting point is 00:38:07 If you really look at the ones that ended up being successful, unquote, in the eyes of society and the ones that didn't, And oftentimes it's the ones that are successful love what they did so they could persevere, you know, when it got really tough. And the ones that didn't love it quit because they're sane, right? Who would want to put up with this stuff if you don't love it? So it's a lot of hard work and it's a lot of worrying constantly. So you've got to love it, you've got to have passion. You have to become the kind of person that can push through the hard times. Most people can't do that.
Starting point is 00:38:41 No matter how long it takes, keep going. No matter how much it hurts, keep going. So you was placed on this earth for a reason. You weren't meant to be average. You were meant to excel. You're going to understand that this grind is meant to make you who you're supposed to be, a dog. A little grind ain't never hurt nobody. Stop being soft.
Starting point is 00:38:57 Let's embrace it. Most people cannot push through the challenging, the draining, the frustrating times that make everybody else quit. So you have to build yourself into someone who has the discipline, the fortitude, the grit, the perseverance, to push through the hard times to become someone who is literally faking incapable of quitting you need to look at yourself in the mirror and say why are you only given 50% what's wrong with you you need to put yourself on
Starting point is 00:39:28 punishment you need to tell you no more TV no more snacks no more desserts no we working out now no no more alcohol not right now not no I can't handle it right now you need to tell you that you all you Don't look at failure's failure. I look at failure as your first, second, third, fourth, fifth attempt. I look at them as attempts. Because when you're trying to do something that's bigger than you, whatever you are, you didn't fail, motherfucker.
Starting point is 00:39:55 That's your first attempt. We give so much power to words. I don't. I take the power right away. I didn't feel shit. People will tell you things based on their experience, but they don't know anything, because everything is subjective.
Starting point is 00:40:09 They don't know who you are. who you are or what you've been through. They tell you they tried for their dreams, but it didn't work out, so they gave up. And they discourage you to chase yours. But you need to do that for yourself because nobody knows what will happen. And even if it doesn't work out,
Starting point is 00:40:26 there's still something to be learned in the process. Stay true to yourself and do your thing.
