The thing they don't tell you is the long way is the shortcut, because the shortcut never gets you there.
And so people quit when things get hard because the thought of things being hard forever feels unbearable.
But that's a lie because nothing's hard forever.
You either quit, it gets easier or you get harder.
But no matter what, the hard always ends.
And the only way you lose is if you quit before seeing it through.
Life doesn't give a fuck about your feelings.
Some days it's easy, some days it's harder,
but it's always good if you realize, like, you could be dead.
You could have never been born.
This is what's killing people.
So here's a prerequisite when you start to chase greatness.
Early mornings, late nights, having very few friends,
being misunderstood, people questioning your sanity,
having to be your own cheerleader.
That's just a prerequisite.
it. So if that's part of your checklist and you can check all those things off, then you've just been
invited to the race to chase greatness. But here's the crazy part. No one invited you. You had to invite
yourself. You're all in by existing. And every single day, you're working towards your fears
or your dreams. You're going to die on your deathbed, not fulfilling the potential that you once had,
or you're gonna die becoming what you should have become.
You're all in on being a loser
or you're all in on working towards your dreams.
And since you're here, you were born against your will,
you might as well spend your time working
towards what you can be because it's not up to you.
You don't have a choice, you have to.
There's no, oh, I want to or there's no I should,
I have to.
You're not unhappy because your life is hard.
You're unhappy because you're resisting it.
See, suffering doesn't come from pain.
It comes from your desire,
for things to be different.
You're trying to control the uncontrollable.
You're at a battle with something that you cannot change.
You need to work on acceptance.
See, acceptance isn't a weakness.
It's a gateway to mental freedom.
And your peace begins the moment that you stop fighting, what is?
Do you want to feel great or be great?
One worships comfort, the other sacrifices it.
One shows up when it's easy,
the other only in the heart.
Because greatness isn't about how you feel.
It's about what you choose when the feeling's gone.
The silence when nothing is working and doing it anyway.
Most people won't.
And that's the difference.
And that is why the few who do change everything.
But do you have the guts to fail?
And when you fall throughout life, remember this.
Fall forward.
There's a moment when every boy realizes no one's coming to save him.
And that's when he becomes a man.
The best day of a man's life is the day you realizes that nobody's coming to save him.
And I got bad news for you.
There's nobody coming.
There's nobody coming to save you.
There's nobody coming to help you.
You are the only one that's going to be able to save you.
No one's coming to push him.
no one's coming to tell you to turn the TV off.
The bottom line is no one's coming.
Nobody is coming to save you.
It's up to you.
So a lot of this isn't your fault
why you do some things you do,
why you feel the way you feel.
But no one's coming back to save your ass.
You have to go back to where this started,
wherever that place is for everybody.
And had the courage to go back there
and start fixing what broke you.
The problems in your life are your own dang fault.
And so the answer into fixing the problems in your life are in your own dang hands.
It's time to make a decision.
It is time to decide who you're going to be.
Are you going to be one of the millions and millions and millions of people that wishes and wants and dreams and thinks about who they want to be?
Are you going to be the person that actually becomes it?
Your potential is determined by how much uncertainty you're willing to embrace.
Whatever position you put yourself in, you got to work yourself out of.
If you can be honest with yourself about what you truly want and take responsibility for creating it, you will.
Because you have this idea, you have this dream, you have this vision that nobody else can see.
The vision that you glorify in your mind, the ideal that you enthrone in your heart, this you will build your life by.
This you will become.
No one's gonna fucking come to help me.
No one's gonna fucking come to help me.
He's just fucking me against me, period.
Are you going to lead with action,
or are you going to lead with empty promises?
And a lot of people don't want to flip the script
and say,
the reason I'm not where I am in life
is because of myself.
That is a very difficult statement to admit to.
What is life.
Are you happy with me?
it and if so is just the intake and outtake of breath makes you put smile in your face you even
earn that whatever you've done with your life can make it something else besides the normality of
everybody else that intake of the outtake of what you call light there's nothing more than time
and unless done something with it's forgotten about there's no footprint of your existence left
for anyone else to follow life is time
And a light that's remember where footprint is follow behind footsteps of inspiration and motivation.
It's when time is met with opportunity and action.
They collide to be a life of remembrance.
You don't have to be special.
You just have to get up every day.
Put one foot in front of the other and work hard to do a little better and be a little better than you were yesterday.
And one of these days, you are going to wake up and realize that you not only changed yourself,
But you are now in the middle of living the life you were once jealous of.
There was something inside me that made me the person who I am today.
So my mindset always was the same, exactly the same as I have right now.
I'm like, if someone did it, I also can do it.
And if no one did it, I can be the first one to do it.
If you're at that point in your life where you just can't take it anymore, stand your ass up and take on life again.
Because yes, you can.
I'd imagine you see no end to the pain, and for that I'm terribly sorry, but the pain doesn't own you.
You can feel it all you want, but you're not going to let it paralyze you anymore.
Whatever takes you to that breaking point is done.
Because you don't break.
You stand the hell up and get better in the face of every single bit of it.
And we want to think that it's other people are past our circumstances that are taking away our power from us and making it difficult to work.
It's not.
It's you.
You're the common denominator in all of your failures.
And even if external factors do play a role, focusing on blame is just going to keep you stagnant.
It doesn't matter what was going on around you.
What are you going to do now?
I think people struggle a lot with the concept that something can be both painful and empowering.
It's this hurts, therefore it's bad.
When taking full accountability of your life with all of the deficiencies that you have
may be the most painful thing that you do when you look at yourself in the mirror and say,
this is my fault.
But in saying, this is my fault, those are also the first two steps of progress.
Because it's my fault, not anyone else's, which means it's my fault.
my responsibility and my action that can change that.
If I can just do one piece of advice into all human beings,
it would simply be to believe in yourself beyond, you know,
without a doubt, believe in yourself.
And don't rely on anybody to believe in you.
Don't rely on anybody to push you or make you better.
Believe in yourself and only yourself.
And allow that human being,
to make you a better person.
Stop wasting your gift.
Every single day that you have the opportunity to get better
and work on your goals and become the person you want to be
is a gift. It is a blessing.
There is going to come a day where the opportunity
to achieve your goals will be gone.
But that day is not today.
And you have an obligation to take advantage
of the opportunity that is right in front of you.
The opportunity that if you keep ignoring,
it might just pass you by.
I can't do that because I was,
born here or I can't do that because I have this issue or I can't do that because they
made fun of me and you know what's going to happen nothing you're going to get more of the
same you're going to get laughed at more you're going to be ashamed more you're going to be
frustrated more and you're going to really regret at the end of your life that you put off
taking responsibility for yourself and building yourself into what could be and the reason
why some of you are not where you're supposed to be you've given yourself an option you've
given yourself an out you've given yourself an excuse you've given yourself room not to do it
you hear what I'm saying you better go inside you still looking outside for the stuff that's
already inside you're still looking for someone to save you when you already your superhero
you're looking for some information from somebody when you already got what you need in your
It's just time for you to get up and be the best version of you.
You must be your best version because somebody is counting on you.
And because you're only ever going to do the things that you feel like doing right now
or that feel good right now, unless you understand that you've got to parent yourself,
you've got to push yourself, you're not going to make your dreams go true.
You're just not.
We're not wired that way.
You weren't born that way.
You weren't that way when you were growing up.
and you're certainly not that way as an adult.
And there's a tremendous amount of liberation
that comes when you accept the fact
that you're always going to need
to give yourself a push.
The version of you that got here is expired.
It was built to survive the last chapter,
not lead the next one.
You want a new level, then build a new identity.
New standards, new discipline, new mindset.
You don't get to keep your old habits
and expect upgraded results.
That's not how this works.
Figure out who the next version of you is,
and start becoming them now.
Because the truth is,
you either evolve or you stay stuck.
And stuck doesn't serve you anymore.
Well, I think the deck is stacked against everyone to some degree
because life is very difficult and we all die.
It's like, well, what's the alternative?
You take responsibility for that
and try to struggle uphill because the alternative makes everything worse.
Nobody is going to save you.
Nobody is going to make it easy for you.
Nobody can live your life for you, endure your pain for you, choose your struggles for you.
Nobody can experience the growth that comes from loss for you.
Nobody can build your confidence through a thousand tiny failures for you.
Nobody can lie away crying about some inconsolable loss that hurts so much.
it creates a bottomless pit of emptiness for you.
Nobody can learn the lessons for you.
Rebuild the pieces for you.
Gain the strength for you.
Find the confidence for you.
Earn the rewards for you.
Nobody can write your story for you.
Nobody can tell you what it all meant.
Nobody can make the impossible choices and live with the eternal consequences
and suffer through indecision, doubt, and regret for you.
You get to do that.
You have the honor and privilege to suffer and overrequent.
that suffering, only to suffer and overcome again and again and again.
This is called being alive.
It's called being human.
And no, nobody else can do that for you either.
But we have to start taking responsibility for ourselves.
The heaviest things in life aren't iron and gold, but unmade decisions.
The reason you are stressed is that you have decisions to make and you're not making them.
You can leave me with one piece of voice.
What would it be?
You are your own worst enemy.
You waste precious time, dreaming of the future instead of engaging in the present.
Since nothing seems urgent to you, you're only half involved in what you do.
400 trillion to one.
The odds of becoming a human being.
75 ye.
That's how much time you did if you're lucky.
75 years.
75 winters.
75 spring times, 75 summers, and 75 orders.
When you look at it like that, there's not a lot of time, miss.
We all get exactly the same amount of time.
Exactly.
Time's so precious and it's fleeting.
Why would you not go for it?
Why would you not take a chance?
Life is shorter than you think.
Betray your destiny and see how long it takes you to be
drowning in a storm.
Seneca said while we wait for life, life passes.
It's time for you to look inward
and begin asking yourself the big questions.
Who are you?
And what do you want?
Is your life in your hands?
Yes or no.
Yesterday is history.
Tomorrow is a mystery.
But today is a mystery.
But today is a gift.
That is why it is called the present.
We call this go into the silence.
Go and sit down quietly by yourself for 30 to 60 minutes.
30 to 60 minutes.
Most people in our society have never sat quietly for 30 to 60 minutes in their entire lives.
Yet I will tell you this, this method works 100% of the time.
That any problem that you have, any difficulty, any challenge, any goal that you want to accomplish,
If you'll go into the silence and sit quietly and then listen to the still small voice within
Listen to the still small voice within
You will find that at a certain point probably about 25 to 30 minutes
Your mind will go completely clear and then a full of ideas will start to flow into your mind
You'll feel energy well enough inside you and at a precise moment as you sit there in complete silence
No cigarettes no coffee no music nothing just complete silence at a complete silence at a
particular moment their mind will go clear and wham exactly the answer you need
will come at exactly the right time and if you will get up and go and carry out
that answer it will turn out to be exactly perfect you know the fact that life is
short and can be brutal can terrify you into hiding and avoiding but it can also
you can flip that on its head and understand that since you're all
in anyways you might as well take take the risks that are adventurous and that's a
very good thing to understand and what is also useful to understand in that manner
is that there isn't anything more adventurous than the truth what our life is is
a combination of a certain amount of time and energy time is rolling away for
all of us at the same pace if you sit it rolls
If you sleep, it rolls away. If you do something, it goes away. If you don't do anything, it goes away.
You're happy or miserable, it goes away. Time is running out for all of us.
Okay, you're 25 and you're thinking, wow, I've got 10 years to figure out. I've got all these vistas of time.
I'm young, I'm healthy, etc. You don't have nearly as much time as you think you do. It goes very fast.
So you need a sense of urgency and energy.
understand that your days are counted, that your days are limited.
You begin to work with urgency towards your goals.
You begin to work with urgency towards the things that you want in life.
People say, well, I'll start tomorrow,
or I'll get started when the new year hits.
It doesn't work that way life passes you by
with no urgency, but day by day.
And so many people live and wake up like accidents
that they forget this beautiful principle,
that life is in your control.
control and if you want to experience a certain type of outcome and a certain
type of future you must input the necessary labor today don't waste your time do
you know that everybody alive gets exactly the same amount of time we get all there is
if what we do with it that makes a difference don't waste your life set your
goals high quit thinking about what's wrong start thinking what's right love a little
more hate a little less you have no idea what you're capable of doing make up
your mind today you're going to figure it out.
There is something which is in your hands and there is something which is not in your hands.
So that means even if let's say even if it is written in the stars, this is like maybe it's the destiny.
But you are not putting the work down.
You are not waking up early in the morning.
You're not answering the emails.
You don't educate yourself.
You don't understand how the processes are working.
working none of this, then even if destiny is maybe written down, but it's still not going to happen.
Because your actions that you're doing are not fitting to what is, let's say, written down to your destiny.
What's calling you to be your best is exactly the thing that's pushing you forward to manifest yourself most fully in the world.
It's what you need. You run away from that. The boat's going to start to rock very, very quickly.
You want to improve?
You want to get better?
You want to get on a workout program or a clean diet.
You want to start a business?
You want to write a book or make a movie or build a house or a computer
or put together some mobile application.
Where do you start?
You start right here.
And when do you start? You start right now.
You initiate the action aggressively.
You go.
Because the idea isn't going to execute itself.
And the book isn't going to write itself.
And the weights out in the gym, they're not going to move themselves.
You have to do it.
And you have to do it now.
And that means you got to stop thinking about it and stop dreaming about it.
And stop researching every aspect of it and reading all about it and debating the pros and cons of it.
Just start doing it.
You must be a master of your own kingdom
there needs to be
some period in your day
where you remember
that there's a world out there
trying to tell you who you are
and there's a world in here
that's trying to tell you who you are
now where do you want to put your eggs?
The more I listen to this
the better my life gets
if they don't have what you want
don't listen to what they say
there's no greater waste of
time than justifying your actions to people who have a life you don't want.
The two major emotions that wrestle within us all the time are fear versus desire.
World Championship goes on over and over again.
Your fears that hold you back, your desires that propel you forward.
Now, how do you turn this equation so that your desires win?
Very simple.
You use the law of concentration and you think about what you want all the time.
You dwell on what you want all the time.
You keep your mind fixed on your desires.
You become totally preoccupied with what you want.
And as we said before, your fears have a tendency to dwindle.
But whichever thing you think about, if you think about your fears or you think about your desires,
whichever one you think about by the law of emotion is going to determine your actions and your actions will determine your outcomes.
Understand that you have one life.
How you live it is your choice.
But life will pass you by.
I want to be the person that wakes up 30, 40, 50 years from now
and regrets what they did.
The biggest poison in us is regret.
It's poison.
We don't spend enough time thinking about the big questions.
We kind of give up on them when we're very, very young.
A little child might ask the big questions like,
why are we here? What's the meaning of life?
What is it all about?
You know, is there Santa Claus?
Is there a God?
But then as adults, we're taught not to think about these things.
about these things or given up on them.
But I think the big questions are the big questions
for good reasons.
And if you can keep the idea in front of you
at all times that you're going to die
and that everything goes literally to zero,
what's sort of stress about?
No matter what you are going through in life,
how sad you are, how much pain you're feeling,
the trauma that you're going through,
you are strong enough to see
of the day. If you had to do it all over again, would you make the same choices?
What choice? We can't run from who we are. Our destiny chooses us. Like, do you really want to go
your whole life without seeing what your mind is capable of? Stop making excuses. Simple as that.
Fear, it's a construct of the mind in the first place. If they're fearless.
Let the fear of regret fueled you to take action.
What do champions not have that I have?
It's what do they lack?
And it's an off button.
They just don't stop.
Everything in their life is geared towards one goal.
Any human realizes that if you want some kind of a good outcome,
you're going to have to work hard for it.
If you can understand that it is irrelevant what people gossip,
it is irrelevant what they say,
it is irrelevant if they laugh,
It is irrelevant if they talk shit.
And you understand that the only thing is relevant is what you do, you're going to succeed.
You're not just competing against people who want the same things that you want.
You are competing against people who have no other choice but to get the thing that you want.
If my life was a movie and someone were to watch it, I hope they'd be inspired to take risks,
not just risks to achieve success, but embrace feeling.
both pride and shame, fear and excitement.
Personally, I want to experience as much life as possible,
and that only happens when you embrace the highs and the lows.
Feeling vulnerable is letting go of your ego,
letting go of that tightness,
letting go of that ability to protect yourself at all costs
from any kind of hurry.
You want to fail in life, you want adversity.
Failing in life is the best education that can ever happen to you,
and failing in life is a deep wound,
but it teaches you very valuable lessons.
So if you go through life where I don't want to ever have feel hurt,
I don't ever want to feel criticized or to fail,
you're never going to learn, you never even succeed,
you're never going to be powerful.
Voluntarily undertaken responsibility isn't a burden,
it's an opportunity, right?
That doesn't mean it's, it's not easy, but easy.
Like, I don't need, I don't know what easy is.
What's easy?
Pointless misery?
That's not easy?
Like, so I guess the reason you,
pick up your cross and walk uphill is because that's the best thing you can do all things considered
when you said i'm all in were you really all in let me tell you what the cost of being all in is
early mornings late nights being misunderstood having very few friends being your own cheerleader
are you those things people always talk about i'm a hard worker everybody in this room is a hard
worker that's not going to separate you from anybody else what are you working hard on
you really want to be great at something.
It definitely doesn't happen overnight.
It's not gonna happen in a year or two.
And even if you're having a great season
or you're having a career year,
there's still so much more wound to continue to improve.
You know, it's still much more wrong
for you to continue with the process of becoming great.
The time and the commitment that you give to yourself,
into your body, into your craft, into your mind,
those things will take care of yourself.
And if it's meant for you to have,
is meant for you to have.
And if it's not, if you've done all those things leading up to it and it still didn't
happen, you sleep better at night.
You're okay with yourself because you gave your body, your mind, your soul, everything
that you could ever ask you have.
Ficking being great right now, bro.
How do you want to be remembered?
You know you're meant for more, bro.
You see, there's a difference between choices and decisions.
Choices means you get to pick.
You don't have a choice right now.
You have to decide to be great.
You have to decide to leave behind a legacy that's worth follow.
Get the fuck up. Nobody cares how you feel. Put the work in.
Leave behind that legacy for them. Life isn't fair. It's not supposed to be. It's a fight for your peace, your focus, and your future.
You don't get to cruise through it. You earn your breakthroughs. You either face the pain or let it own you.
That voice in your head telling you to stop. It's lying. So no, it's not easy.
but the only way you lose is if you quit.
The things we do in the invisible
when no one's watching make all the difference in the world.
No matter where you are in life,
you know that there's something more,
there's something bigger.
If you continue to do the same thing,
you'll continue to get the same results.
There's no other way to look at it.
How many opportunities have you missed
because you sat on the sidelines?
What I see today is that everything's possible in this world
for those who don't quit on themselves
or their dreams to reach higher and higher
with our dreams.
to become more ridiculous with our dreams because they're out possible.
Every time you have a thought, you're telling yourself a story.
A story that's going to decide, are you having a great day?
Are you moving forward? Are you making progress?
Or are you convincing your own mind that things are not going well,
that things are bad and you've got things going against you?
Every thought you're in control of.
control of. When you're in control of your thoughts, you can change your story at a moment.
You can change what you say so you stop hypnotizing yourself to be negative and start
promoting your mind so you get the results that you want. Everything you say to yourself is
going to be a reaction to what you're telling your mind.
Whatever you say to yourself and believe over and over again, you start to believe as a reality.
You start to walk and talk and negative.
So what you say is I am unstoppable.
I'm unstoppable.
I don't care what it is.
I'm unstoppable.
Nothing will stop me.
The greatest of all qualities to guarantee success
is the absolute willingness to go at anything
and refuse to stop until you achieve it.
Maybe it's my fault.
Maybe I led you to believe it was easy when it wasn't.
Maybe I made you think that every shot I took was a game winner.
Maybe it's my fault that you didn't see that failure gave me strength.
that my pain was my motivation.
Maybe I led you to believe that basketball was a God-given gift
and not something I worked for.
Every single day of my life,
maybe I'd destroyed the game.
Or maybe you just make an excuse it.
You can make a million excuses why you didn't work out this morning.
You can make a million excuses why you didn't get that raised,
why you didn't take that leap of faith.
You can make a million excuses,
but you know deep down inside and consciousness is eating away at you,
it's an excuse.
It's not a reason.
It's an excuse.
Stop making excuses.
And when you stop making excuses,
the only alternative is then results.
You will have periods of defeat.
But that defeat will be temporary and not permanent
because you will dust yourself off,
get back up, and try again.
So what's the story you're telling yourself?
from the day you wake up and all through the day till the night.
Just because things don't go your way doesn't mean you can't change the story or learn a lesson from what's happening.
Tell yourself the story and the results that you want.
Convin yourself that things are always going your way, even when they aren't and you'll find the direction
and you'll find the answer to get the results that you're looking for and that you need.
Convince yourself that the stories that you're convincing yourself of are positive and not negative.
And the stories and the events and the feelings you get will create the results that you want.
You want to be on your deathbed, looking back at your life saying, I just didn't try.
It's unfortunate when things don't work out.
It's unfortunate when things don't go the way you plan.
But if you try as hard as you possibly can and things just don't go your way,
that's still a life that you can hang your hat on.
But to live a full life of mediocrity, of apathy, of not trying,
of always opting for comfort and convenience instead of doing what is right,
doing what is best for you and your family is not just something that you can't hang your hat on.
It is something that you should be ashamed of,
something you should be embarrassed about.
What if you don't accomplish your goals?
What if you don't do anything different?
What if you just make a long list of things that you would like to do, but you don't?
Respect is earned through results.
Respect is earned through commitment, through effort, through doing what you say you're going to do,
and displaying that through everything in your life.
Just so we're all clear, some of the best lessons that you will ever learn,
some of the best lessons that I will ever learn,
will come from the most pain, the most frustration, and the darkest moments.
In days, when all hell is cross,
loose your body's dumb your sore you're the crest you're miserable who are you on those days
what shit's all fucked up that's the great divide those people who get up on those days
when everything's f*** up is still grind that's the separator right there does not align with
that thought right time is a scarcity right if we think in
terms of time, a man-made construct, by the way, we only have so much time.
Ah, I'll be happy, happy when I graduate.
I'll be happy when I get my first job.
It goes on and on.
Guess what?
When you attach your happiness to an outcome based on time, that time will never come.
You need to, in order to be happy, enjoy the consistent every day, persistent without quit, pursuit
of your potential.
That's happiness.
Enjoy the consistent, persistent pursuit of your potential.
And you've got to know what your potential is.
What do you want?
You need to consistently every day persistently
without quit, enjoy that pursuit.
Why consistency?
I think consistency is the most important thing.
Because consistency elevates your awareness.
What's the lesson?
Don't limit your point of entry.
Consistently persistently pursue your potential
and enjoy it.
That's all I did.
And so there has to be this point in your life where what you want is so much greater than where you are.
You're in such discomfort.
In other words, the gap between what you're dreaming of, what you're destined to do, what you're capable of, you're aware of it compared to where you are.
That tension between the two has a pull power to it, right?
I really believe that.
But the end of your life, you're going to get introduced to the person you could have been, you were destined to be that he made you to be.
And so I'm chasing that dude.
Every day I'm chasing that dude.
That's the pull power for me.
I took the comfortable road.
The comfortable road will never lead you to the person you were destined to be, ever in your life.
And so if you don't become obsessed with chasing that person, you end up never meeting it.
Put an unfair pressure on people to have a vision, right?
And I think that's true.
We're not all Steve Jobs, and we don't all have big world-changing visions, to your point.
I do believe, however, you can find a vision, right?
In other words, it doesn't have to be yours.
It can be someone else's.
We found Mark Moore the King.
We found Mahatma Gandhi, we found Steve Job, Elon Musk, the visionaries.
And people go, I love his vision.
You don't have to have a vision, but I do believe you have to find one.
Some of y'all have a habit of dreaming within your bank account.
Some of your thoughts and visions are so big and so outlandish and so powerful and amazing.
You'll end up talking yourself out of that dream from saying,
I can't afford that.
I came here to remind you that when people laugh at your visions and ideas, it's only because
they don't have their own visions and ideas around what they're supposed to do with their
life or their careers.
People that don't have any dreams for themselves, they tend to be dream killers.
People that don't have their own visions, they become.
vision killers. They weren't nothing more than to talk you out of your own visions.
They don't have dreams for themselves. They don't have any hopes to remind you to continue
to dream and dream big.
So at any time, if you feel happy or unhappy, miserable, joyful, ecstatic, in a state of agony,
doesn't matter what happens. What is your experience? Pleasantness or unpleasantness or unpleasant
just to know that it's happening from within and it can only happen from within.
You can either take external stimuli or you can create your own stimuli.
But essentially it happens from within.
This one thing if it is not grasped, when you feel miserable, if you think it's this one,
you're gone. It's not going to work.
This one basic fundamental thing is something that almost
Because 90% of the humanity is always doing it wrong.
Whenever they feel miserable, they think it must be this one or that one or that one or...
That one.
All human experiences generate different from within.
The harder you try, the further away from it you go.
First thing is to bring balance.
Once there is balance, then you can build a tower on top of this.
So many of us are operating on patterns where we're trying to get needs met through other people.
that we have to focus inward first.
We have to be able to fulfill ourselves,
meet our own needs authentically,
before I can then authentically present them
to another person.
The world doesn't need another perfect person.
The world needs you.
And you're trying your best.
You're doing what you can.
And, you know, I think it's really important
that you cut yourself a break
and that you stop thinking that you have to be perfect.
There are going to be days
where you feel so underwater, and that's okay.
You'll get through it.
You'll figure it out.
And you've got to understand that it's not about being perfect.
It's about just being you.
The mind's like, I want to be in charge of you.
I don't want you to be in charge of me.
So it tells you, let's just stop right here.
But once you start breaking through that barrier
and start breaking down that governor,
the governor that you've put in your mind,
because we forget, we,
are in control of our mind.
We believe it's the other way around.
No, we put in our minds what we should do.
We have to reprogram it and tell us,
oh, no, no, we're good.
We're good, we got, this sucks, but it's okay.
Have the truth to have a starting point.
If you want to know what makes people happy,
write down progress equals happiness.
Think about it.
You can achieve everything in the world
and still goes, this all there is.
can achieve something to be excited, but for how long?
The only way you stay up and excited is to keep growing.
It's like life is hard.
It's a crucifixion.
That's right.
And so it's no wonder they think that.
It's like, okay, fine.
First of all, we're going to take it seriously.
Yeah, you're suffering and adrift, and you have your reasons.
Despite that, there's more to you than you think.
And you know that too.
Once you come face to things with who you're going to do, you have your reasons.
you are. You have a starting point. All right, I'm not real smart. I have no courage. I have no
self-esteem. I have no nothing. Nothing. That's my starting point. Now we can move from there.
But if I tell myself, I'm strong. I have courage. I'm smart. It always are lies, you continuously
push that starting point backwards. So that starting point is the truth. Progress is everything. If you're
You're making progress on your body, progress in your mind, progress in your motion.
You're gonna feel happy.
When you get there, you feel excited, but again, how long a year know?
Because we're not made to just sit and, you know, be successful.
We're made to grow, we're made to, and as we grow, we have something to give.
We're up here because of 4 a.m.
We're up here because of 2 days or 5 a day.
We're up here because we had a dream and let nothing stand in our way.
If anything tried to bring us down, we used it to make us
stronger. We were never satisfied, never finished, rest at the end, not in the middle.
And I took that to heart. You envisioned something, you got clear about it, and then you started
thinking about all the reasons why you wanted it. Your being is limited and flawed and fragile,
this immense potential, but constrained in this tiny little living space. But the fact that you
have limitations means that the plot of your life is the overcoming of those.
limitations and that if you didn't have limitations well there wouldn't be a plot
and maybe there would be no life and so that's part of the reason why perhaps you
have to accept the fact that you're flawed and insufficient and and live with it
and consider it a precondition for being your brain is the most powerful weapon
in the world once you put away your phones and your computers your brain is the
only thing you have when you're going through depression when you
when you're going through hard times,
and you're going through death.
Real life, yes.
You're alone, but there's 24 hours in the day
when you're alone in this brain,
and your brain is talking to you in all kind of ways,
and it wants to control you, pull you in these different pockets.
If you can't control your own brain
and your brain controls you, you got to tell your brain
where you want to go and how you want to go
and how you want to get there.
You got to control.
If not, it's over.
Courage is also physical.
Again, courage does not mean you're not afraid.
Courage means you're afraid, but you do it anyway.
I don't know what the limits are.
It's like if you were the best person you could be.
No, truly, if you decided to live by truth at the aim of the good.
And you really did that.
You put your whole heart and soul into it.
Like you were, like that's what you were staking your life on.
Because you're staking your life on something.
Who the hell could you be?
Great ideas.
are never going to interrupt you.
They have to be pursued.
And if you don't pursue them,
you're going to get what everybody else has,
which is all this fear, all this uncertainty,
all this stuff won't work,
because everybody's focused on what won't work,
what can't happen, why?
Because they're afraid, they're afraid to fail,
they're afraid to try and feel like they're not enough.
So you've got to stand guard that mind by feeding your mind.
You have a certain amount of potential within your grasp.
You may find what you have contempt to be,
Because you're not in a position of power.
This modicum of possibility that's been granted to you is beneath you.
And so you do nothing with it.
And so you get nothing from it.
You take that seriously.
You do the small things you can, the humble things that you can
to put yourself together tiny, embarrassing ways that are real.
And if you do that enough, you'll fortify yourself.
You're not a manager.
of your life, you're a creator of your life. How do you create your life? You get hungry for
something, don't you? Last long thick head game, you play with yourself. If you lose, it's because
you allow life to get in your head. You know perfectly well, you could be far more than you are,
and you don't know what the upper limit of that is. You cannot get to the mountain top without
taking a few missteps. It'll ask yourself, what's the opportunity from the failure and
get in the game because when you get to the last hour for your last day, it will not be the
failures you regret. It'll be all the risks you didn't take.
When you push beyond what's comfortable, it develops this determination inside you, this sense of will.
