I realized you go higher, you go even more alone.
Why?
Because nobody is willing anymore to invest their energy in going higher.
Because it's becoming more difficult.
They say, oh, it's already okay here.
Why you still want to move up there?
The air is getting thinner over there.
It's getting more hard to breathe.
It's getting more dangerous, whatever.
So that means along this way, the higher you want to go, the more likely you're going to walk alone.
Stop making excuses for yourself. You're better than that.
Let's just look at this.
We will find every excuse as to why we can't do something because it's challenging.
I don't have enough time or I don't have the money or I don't know anybody.
That energy that you're taking to tell why you can't do something, it would require the same amount of energy.
energy to tell how you're going to do something.
You don't have to try and figure out the whole puzzle
with the first piece.
Just figure out the first piece.
Just take the first step.
And so I want you guys to understand something.
Winning is for the obsessed.
You must be obsessed if you want to win.
You must be obsessed with the goal, the journey, the outcome,
the experience, the rejections, all of it.
Winning is also for the people who are relentless.
They're locked on because winners are willing to put in the
and effort and energy and deal with the rejection
and deal with the hardship to learn the skills
and the abilities that are going to help them
get the desired outcome.
When your voice chimes up and starts talking you out of shit,
that is your signal to act immediately.
If it's telling you to take a break,
you go do double the work.
If it's telling you, ah man, it's Sunday,
you don't need to do this.
You need to get the fuck up and do it.
Every time you hear it,
hear it you need to take action because action is the only thing that will squash that voice
permanently most people don't want to be pushed that hard they want to be pushed to their level of
comfort and that once they're outside their comfort zone they're like oh i'm not used to this
oh i don't like this my heart's beating too fast or man i'm feeling different feelings and emotions
and it's like that's where you're that's where the growth lives winning makes you different
makes you different. It does make you different. And you know what different does? It scares people.
There comes a point in your life when you've got to make a choice, a decision that will define
not just where you're going, but who you'll become. And that choice is this. To ghost everyone
in silence and focus on you. Now this isn't about running away. It's about walking away from distractions,
walking away from people who don't align with your purpose,
walking away from the noise,
the chaos,
and even the expectations that others place on you.
This is about walking towards something far greater,
yourself.
Because deep down,
you know there's a version of you
that hasn't been unleashed yet,
the version that's waiting to rise,
to take over,
to dominate,
but let me tell you something.
No one's going to hand it to you.
And that's where most people fall.
They think greatness comes from applause, recognition or validation from others.
They think their friends, their social circle, their followers will somehow push them to the top.
Let me break that illusion for you.
Nobody cares.
Nobody cares about your dreams the way you do.
Nobody cares if you're struggling in the dark.
They're too busy chasing their own.
silence the world around you.
Because distractions are killers.
They kill dreams.
They kill ambition.
They kill the fire burning inside of you.
You've got to get rid of it all.
The constant conversations, the meaningless social media scrolling.
The need to be liked?
The need to be noticed.
Cut it off.
You see, the world doesn't need to hear from you right now.
What it needs is for you to disappear and
and do the work. And I'm not talking about the kind of work where you post your progress
every day. I'm talking about the grind that nobody sees. The late nights, the early mornings,
the sweat, the pain, the doubt, the fear. You need to face all of that alone in silence.
Because that's when real transformation happens. Not when people are clapping for you. Not when you're posting your latest
achievement on Instagram. Number transformation happens when you're so deep in the grind that you
forget what the outside world even looks like. You need to disappear to evolve. Imagine coming
back as a ghost, silent but unstoppable. A ghost that no one saw coming and now they can't
ignore. A version of you so undeniable, so powerful that everyone who ever doubted you can't help
but watch in all. That's the revenge. That's the redemption.
And when you return, you don't come back with a bang.
You don't need to.
The bang is the work you've done in the shadows.
The bang is in the way you've redefined yourself in the way you walk into a room and own it
without saying a word.
Your presence will speak louder than anything you could ever say.
That's what happens when you ghost the world for a while.
When you focus entirely on your own journey, you don't need to explain yourself to anyone.
You don't need to justify your silence.
Silence is where power lies.
It's where you recalibrate.
It's where you figure out who the hell you really are.
You get to break yourself down piece by piece and rebuild yourself into something stronger,
sharper. And you know what? It's going to hurt. Growth hurts. The loneliness will hurt. The doubts will
eat at you in the middle of the night. But that's the price you paid to level up. If it were
easy, everyone would do it. But the truth is, most people are too afraid to face themselves in the
silence. They're too afraid to let go of the noise, the chatter, the fact of the
validation. But not you. You're different. You need that silence. You crave it, even if you don't
realize it yet. Because in that silence, you'll hear the only voice that matters. Yours, and it will tell
you what you need to do. It will push you harder than anyone ever could. It will reveal your weaknesses
and force you to turn them into strengths. So ghost everyone. Go dark.
Put your head down and grind.
Don't tell people what you're doing.
Don't show them until it's too late for them to do anything about it.
Because when you come back, you're going to be unrecognizable.
You're going to be unstoppable.
You're going to be the best version of yourself.
And no one, no one will have seen it coming.
And when you return, you won't need to say a word.
Your success will speak for itself
Ghost the world
Work in silence
Come back as a force no one can ignore
It's time to disappear
Doubt is such a strange thing
I mean it's
You know
There'll be times where you succeed
And there are times that you fail
So raising your time
doubting whether you're going to be successful or not
It's pointless
It is
I mean you just put one front of the other
You control what you can't control
control and then you see what the outcome is.
If you win, great, you're going to have to wake up the next day and do the journey over again.
If you move, it sucks, but you have to wake up the next day and do the journey all over again anyway.
So it's really pointless to sit here and debate or have doubt or just at the other.
You train as hard as you can and you step out there and you let it flow.
When life gets dark, I mean at the darkest of times, there is a light within ourselves that can guide us forward.
We have the choice to follow that.
light that personal enduring light that can carry us through on to victory we are not
victims we are victors listen to your inner voice you are a victory you will succeed
you will come out on top the best version of yourself is yet to be revealed to the
world you have the reserves of inner strength you have not yet tapped
let anybody ever tell you you're not good enough okay
And so many young people think that they can't, or they're not, they don't have the potential.
Or if somebody else is better, I'll forget everything about it.
I mean, you know, if you really want something bad enough, if you really, really want something bad enough,
you'll figure out a way to get there.
I think having a sense of urgency is very beneficial.
And understanding that your time is limited can aid you greatly.
I think knowing that this is a temporary time that we have financial.
life spans there's great power in that because it it motivates you it gets you going
most humans who could ever exist never will and so the fact that you exist at all
is against stupefying odds of who gets born and who does not realizing this you are you
I am me.
We are alive.
We get to die.
And to get to die means you get to live.
Any moment you spend squandering
those moments you are alive
does disrespect to all those who will never even be born.
I say chase your dreams, man.
Do that thing, man, that keeps you up at night.
That thing that bothers you, man,
that makes you jump.
You can't quit thinking about it.
You always, you wake up in the middle of night,
you got a new idea.
That's what you got to chase.
Because anything else, it's gonna disappoint you.
I would hate to die and never do the thing I was born to do.
Your brain will tell you to give up.
Your brain is a predicting machine, so it wants certainty.
Giving up is certain.
So in that moment, brain's gonna tell you,
going to tell you that it's easier to give up.
But if we're really honest with ourselves,
the greatest discomfort of all
is living with this feeling inside,
but you're not living the life you're meant for.
If you keep up your present disciplines
and keep up the present pace that you're on,
where will you be in five years?
Boy, it's easy to say, hey, I haven't really thought about that.
So now make this note, in five years,
here's the probability.
you will either arrive at a well-designed destination
or an undesigned, well-designed or undesigned.
And I promise you five years or no,
you really don't want to arrive at an undesigned destination.
Because you may very well wind up wearing what you don't want to wear,
grabbing what you don't want to grab,
or you don't want to hear,
maybe doing what you don't want to do,
simply because you didn't design a better destination.
If you don't develop simply the ability to get up when you said you would, to eat what you said you would,
to exercise because you said you would, to talk in a way to your kids that's patient because you said you would,
you will never have the self-confidence to succeed in any environment. You won't.
Don't need to have everything figured out just start improving your life.
Everyone looks for the exact formula to transform into their ideal self.
You don't need the exact formula.
You honestly don't even really need to know who your ideal self is.
You just need to know what to do today in order to wake up a better person tomorrow.
It will never be as young as you are right now.
Don't wait to do shit the time is now.
Everyone knows this old quote of the best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago.
The second best time is today.
And there's lots of things that you probably wish that you did 10 years ago, lots of things
that you probably think aren't too old to do now.
And these are once again all limitations because you are the youngest that you're ever going
to be today.
Your days are going to pass regardless.
This whole week, this whole next week, whether you can slack off or if you really push
it, the time is just going to pass.
So this time, you got so much of it and it's just brushing the wet.
So I mean, it's up to you.
If the time is going to pass anyway, I think it's worth it to at least try to do something cool.
Self-love means taking care of your own needs and not sacrificing them all the time just to please other people.
Too many of us, including myself and maybe you, will sacrifice our own needs, what we really need in our life, just to please other people, not to inconvenience them, not to make them uncomfortable.
You know, maybe what you need to do is really pursue that dream you have right now, but you're not doing it because you don't want to make the people around you uncomfortable.
Don't sacrifice your own needs just to please other people.
That is not a form of self-love.
Ask what they should do as if it's some sort of mystery.
The fact is, you know, the true separator between progress and stagnation
is the action taken on the simple things that are right in front of you.
If you want to be in a life that is full of equanimity,
equanimity means the calmness of the soul,
and a life that is full of peace,
you need to be here now focusing on what you can control.
Not focused on the future, but focus on what you can do today.
and by natural law for every action there's an equal and opposite reaction the universe will give you exactly what you deserve.
Don't live a life of misery by living in the past or living in the future, but live a life of peace and equanimity by being here right now.
You are getting through everything you're going through.
I just want you to give yourself some credit right now.
Like you are literally getting through everything you're going through.
I'm going to what's going on in your life is not permanent.
Everything is going to change.
It takes courage to be successful.
It is far easier not to be successful.
Misery will always have company.
Success breeds contempt.
If you don't want to make waves, be mediocre.
Be normal and fit in.
One thing is for sure.
I feel that I had the power to create my own destiny.
I try to visualize every single thing in my life, not only believe it, but really feel it with every cell in my body.
And I just want to send a message out there to every young person.
Be in the present moment.
Forget about what happened in the past.
Future is something that is just going to happen.
But if you want a better future, you create it.
You got to come at it with that whatever it takes mindset.
I don't care what I have to go through.
I don't care who hurts me, who leaves me.
I'm going to do whatever it takes to become the person that I was meant to be.
I'm going to do whatever it takes to win.
I'm going to do whatever it takes to get my family in a better situation.
You've got to bet on you.
You believe in everybody else.
You clap for everybody else.
You support everybody else.
But when are you going to look in the mirror and believe in the darn person you see?
It's about time for you to believe in you because you've got it.
You are already enough.
And once you can fully accept who you are and where you are, it allows you to
to navigate where you're going so much easier.
Instead of feeling like, I'm not enough until I achieve this thing.
I'm not enough until I get this person.
My self-worth is in this external thing.
No, your self-worth is right here.
It's rooted within you.
Never regret making a decision you thought would make you happy, but it didn't.
Never blame yourself for things you did that you thought would change your life,
but it ended up not working out.
You should be proud that you had the courage to give it.
to try. Not many people have that inside of them. Every experience taught you something valuable.
Don't give up now because everything is leading you to where you need to be. Most people fear death
because they wasted their life. Too busy chasing approval, ignoring instincts, and ran out
of time to be who they were. They live for everyone else. Their parents, friends, spouse,
bosses, even a stranger on a screen, but they never lived to themselves.
Now with the back against the wall, they realized the truth.
The world never cared, and they let themselves rock for nothing.
Now you can make excuses, say it was a sacrifice, but the mirror doesn't lie.
So if you look in that mirror and see your reflection and ask yourself,
and ask yourself, was it worth it?
And if the answer is no,
then what the hell are you waiting for?
Be you.
And live like time owes you nothing.
Because it does it.
Do something that makes you happy.
Life is an opportunity, benefit from it.
Life is a dream, realize it.
Life is a challenge, meet it.
Life is a duty, complete it.
Life is a game, play it.
play it life is a struggle accepted the second one reads the ultimate measure of a man it's not
where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience or where he stands at times of challenge
and controversy i'm going to say something to you you're smart you talented you know a few
things but talent needs nothing in this game if you're to make the right choices there's plenty of
talent people out there who never see the light of day anymore last thing takes discipline
Because this whole game is one big long shot.
And if you don't have the discipline to stay away from the flyers
or from the gambles or whatever else you want to call a stupid move,
then my friend I'm afraid to say one day you will go down.
It's inevitable.
You want my ice?
Make a list of everything you want to now.
And then plan on spending the next 25 years of your life getting it slowly piece by piece.
Those who fight with dragons for too long become dragons themselves.
And those that gaze into the other,
abyss, the abyss gazes right back. All of us have a dragon's lair, a haunting, a shadow,
that thing within us or that place where we don't want to touch and we don't want to look
and we don't want to go on that journey of figuring out because there's a dragon in there,
right? That's what everyone's telling us.
And so what this quote is trying to tell us is,
hey, I know you've heard all of these myths and tales,
but what if you wouldn't figure it out yourself?
What if instead of gazing and being so scared
that you're going to get eaten by something,
or whatever, you walk into the dark and go see it for yourself?
Very scary thing.
Not many people would do that because Mr. Fear has...
lied.
But the real answer to your question
is that when it feels scary to jump, Ian,
that is exactly when you jump.
Otherwise, you end up staying in the same place your whole life.
And that I can't do.
You have to be singular, inflexible,
unyielding in your own work so that even the struggle,
that very struggle to achieve,
becomes its own reward.
A hard, simple ability to continue is a kind of blessing.
a kind of blessing. You can't do your work according to the people's values. I'm not
talking about also following your dream either. I never like the inspirational value of that phrase.
Besides being sentimental, it's beside the point. Dreaming is a way of tribualizing the process,
the obsession that carries you through the failure as well as the successes, which could be
harder to get through. I mean, if you're dreaming, you're sleeping, that's important.
It's an imperative to always be awake to your feelings, your possibilities, your ambitions,
and don't get hung up on the consequences because they can be good, like awards, success,
and even celebrity, and they can be bad, like no awards, no success, no celebrity.
Things will happen to things that you cannot control.
A raw emotion will find you when it does, how you deal with it,
what you do, or to find who you are.
Did that happen to you?
I haven't solved us. Whether we wanted to or not.
There is scars we have. Make us who we are.
We're not meant to go back and fix them.
Take it from now. Well, guys made a lot of mistakes.
Do you live your past?
In your life. No match your tragedy define you.
What if it's supposed to define me?
Your tragedy made you a hero.
That also made me alone.
Not define of my past.
by my past, my past has taught me who I am to be able to evaluate the situation present and
imply what I've learned to make the best choice. And that choice is based on character. It's based
on morality, integrity. Never about financial return. Never about monetary value or tangible items.
It's always been about the character, the intangible item. Sometimes we need help to get there.
Yes.
You come a very long way.
But a very short time.
Well, it doesn't feel that way.
But you should know that I have always taken the path that is most right.
Most right.
The result is never in question for me.
Just what path do you take to get there?
And there is always one that is most right.
And that is what this is.
You have to be willing to sacrifice it.
willing to sacrifice some comfort to step into what is for you. It may mean sacrificing old
habits and old ways, right? This season that you're in or you're trying to step into may need
you to sacrifice old habits, old ways of thinking, right? Old spaces you used to navigate. Are you
willing to do that for your growth, right? You can't avoid the peaks and valleys in life.
They say you can't avoid the peaks and valleys in life. Life will always have the ups and downs,
so make peace with it.
How hard are you really working?
I don't know about you, but I don't encounter many people who are completely committed to their craft.
In our society where it is very unpopular to have a sickening, completely committed, dedicated work ethic.
It's not the norm.
I believe people who think this way don't know what it's like to push yourself to the limits.
Don't know what it's like to work your absolute best, give everything you have, sacrifice, commit, work.
hard and that feeling of growth of progress of even reaching a milestone in your journey how amazing
that feels. Consistency is even rarer than talent or enthusiasm every january first in the gym rock
open everyone's keen to do something they've got these new new year's resolutions are all enthusiastic
and some of those people will be talented but how many of those people end up being consistent
long term death is not waiting behind that door right now every second you are between
life and death. One day it just stays with this, then this is going to happen. So in the moment
where you realize it could be my last action right now that I do, having this type of sort
on the mind, it could be your last. Hopefully, makes you wake up, really focus on the things
that are important for you. Because many things are starting to fall away when somebody
tell you you, look, only one more week to live. Many problems that at the moment people are
caring about, they will just disappear. Then they wake up and realize this shortness of life.
How precious it actually is that we are able to be here. Live your life the way that you want
to leave your life. Ladies and gentlemen, as I speak to you right now, if you had 90 days to
How many of you will make some radical changes in your life?
If you look at Nelson Mandel, if you look at Mother Trace, look at Mahath Maganvi who died with under 10 possessions.
These people were world changers. These people were radical optimists.
These people suffered because the root of the word passion means to suffer.
They suffered for their dream.
They suffered for their values.
They suffered for their values.
They suffered for their cause.
They suffered for their followers.
They suffered for their greatness.
Game of life are people are going to hit you.
They're going to claw you.
They're going to scratch you.
They're going to bite you.
It's just the part of life.
And instead of taking everything personally,
you have to see that it's like a gladiator battle
and that some people are bad, some people are good,
some people are not, are in between.
But stop taking everything personally and try to learn from it.
So if you make a mistake, what you want to do,
If you have failure in life, something didn't go right,
you want to have the ability to look at inward and say,
what did I do wrong?
And a lot of people don't have that inner strength.
But if you want to be successful, if you want to get ahead in this world,
you have to develop the skill.
You have to be able to look at yourself as if you were somebody else,
as from the outside, and say,
here's how I could improve.
Here's what I did wrong the last time I did it.
Great life is in front of you.
It's not behind you.
What you did back down was learned in lessons to get you to where you are at this particular moment right here.
Do you know, man, that you can actually mess your life completely up?
You can jack it all the way up and you can turn around and get it right.
What type of reality are you even living?
What type of reality are you living?
Are you living a proactive reality where you're continually problem solving
and looking at all the different ways that you could manipulate, guide,
or push your reality that you want in your favor?
Or are you living a reactive reality?
Where you just continually allow what is going to happen, happen?
Well, I can tell you right now,
if you live in a reactive reality,
you need to stop.
Because if you really want to live the life of your dreams,
you have got to start living a proactive reality.
So if you're in the woods and you don't know where to go, start walking.
You've got to start walking because the perspective is not going to change.
You have to start moving forward.
You have to start taking steps in order to improve your vision, improve your perspective,
change your perspective, make some kind of progress.
And worst case scenario, you figure out that you walk the wrong direction.
Okay.
Now you can walk in the other direction.
And that's going to be fine.
But standing there, lost, and not doing anything.
is just waiting to die, waiting to starve to death.
Don't let that happen.
Taking responsibility doesn't mean you blame yourself.
It means you become accountable for everything that happened.
Because it's the only way to improve.
It's the only way to see real progress.
If you're constantly blaming something else for your circumstances,
it means you're giving up the opportunity to be in control.
It might not be your fault,
but it's your job to make the most of every situation
and do the best with what you have.
So do it.
Take responsibility for all of it
because that's when things start to get good.
You can't let anybody tell you you can't do something.
I'll repeat that.
If you want something bad enough,
you can't let anybody tell you you can't do something.
Not even yourself.
You need to work on yourself.
If you just try to be pampered,
and if you're trying to be soft,
And if you're trying to be the victim and also, you're not going to go anywhere.
We need to get stronger.
We need to get tougher.
We need to not be afraid of failure.
We got to go and do the work.
We got to face adversity.
Adversity breeds character.
There's strength.
We have to be willing to go through hardship, through suffering, through pain, through crying periods.
All of that stuff, don't shy away from any of that because it just makes you stronger.
There will be days when you give every ounce of yourself, every ounce of your soul, blood, sweat, and tears, early mornings, and late nights, and not see any result from all of your hard work.
And the most difficult part of all of that is knowing you have to show up the next day and do it all over again.
And he may not see the result immediately.
It may not come next week.
But believing that eventually the result will come is what makes a champion.
There's gonna be days where you don't feel like showing up.
There's gonna be days where you're paralyzed by self-doubt.
In days where the distance between where you are
and where you wanna be is overwhelming.
I'm here to tell you that the only way to keep inching forward
when those days happen is to be committed to the process.
Because the ones who stay consistent,
whether they feel like it or not,
are the ones who see the results,
not the ones who have conditional commitments
on their goals.
Keep going.
I think when you feel stuck,
stuck or dissatisfied in your life, it's a signal. And it's not a signal that your life is broken.
It's a signal that one of your most basic needs are not being met. Your need for exploration.
And your soul needs exploration and growth. And the only way you'll get it is by forcing yourself
to be uncomfortable. Why is life so hard? Life is never easy. If it's easy, if it's easy,
it would be boring. Life should be hard. Embrace the hardness of life. Because through those
hardships, you're learning, you're molding, and you're becoming a person. So, life should be hard.
When you accept that life should be hard, then nothing is hard. Everything is easy. Because everything is
a lesson that you can learn something from. Every day is a new day to learn something new. So what do you
going to learn today? Sometimes growing and breaking feel the same. I think that sometimes
growing and breaking are the same thing. And here's something to keep in mind in this
uncomfortable season of growth, you are not the one that's breaking. What's breaking is everything
that isn't you. It's sometimes that hurts. Sometimes you have to go through that adversity and that
challenge and that setback to activate the passion and the drive. You know, sometimes it takes
the sting of defeat. Sometimes it takes the sting of heartbreak to activate something within you
that was needed for you to start moving in the direction that you're meant to move, to get to where
you need to be. The right path is often going to be the hard one. It's going to be the one that
requires you to believe in something with no guarantees. The one that asks you to let go of all
control and walk forward in blind faith, but you know you're not walking blindly. Because you can see it.
You can feel that there's no other choice but this. Everything you've been through has prepared
you for this moment. Lean into it. Trust it. You're ready. You know, you have a decision made. Am I going to
stay right here? Am I going to live my life and be happy? Which, by the way, that's what
want, there's no judgment. But what I'm saying to you is, is if you're that ambitious now and
you don't keep moving, you're going to feel bad about staying in the same spot. So it's important
that we set bigger goals and that we continue to progress through life because we have to have
a purpose. We have to have a drive. And the reality is, is our pursuit of a bigger goal
produces a lot of good for people outside of ourselves. So what gifts are you suppressing
by staying in that place and being content where you are? How many lives changed? How many new
ideas, how much good is now being capped in your jar because you've decided to stay right
where you are. That's something to think about. Now, stay after it. If you're maybe feeling down
or you're not feeling as motivated, that's where your discipline has to, has to really kick in
because the motivation is not always there. The discipline, that's what's got to be your backbone
for progress. Even if you don't want to do it, you're not feeling motivated to do it, the
discipline will keep you, you know, on that steady upward slope.
Each and every day, I'm trying to be the best I can be in that day.
I'm trying to maximize that day, just that day.
And I think if we all can shift into focusing on the small, integral steps that go into the big changes,
that's when we'll see the most growth and the most evolution in our lives.
There are four things you need to know before you go out into the world.
You remember these things and you'll be the best person you can be.
First, look at this pencil.
We know that in order for it's become a useful pencil
that from time to time again and again,
it's going to have to go through a resharpening.
All, if this pencil could feel,
we could imagine how painful that would be.
But that's what it takes for it to be a useful pencil.
Life is much the same.
Painful experiences and challenges come to us all.
But it's through these opportunities.
that we build character and we grow.
Second is to keep in mind,
they will be able to correct many of the mistakes
you make along the way, just like the Saracer.
So if we learn from our mistakes, they're not mistakes.
There are lessons we can use to do better than next time around.
When was the last time you wrote out your dreams?
Walt Disney, Haya Miyazaki, Leonardo da Vinci,
with just a paper and a pen.
They mapped out worlds and stories that change the way we see reality.
They built their dreams into existence way before
anyone believed it was ever possible. In an era of endless notifications and constant comparison,
it's so easy to feel loss and aimless. But the simple act of documenting your dreams can change
everything. What if you could map out the ideal version of your story, publishing a novel,
running a marathon, starting a clothing line, creating a short film, whatever your dream is,
every idea, every sketch, every note is one step closer towards building a world that's
authentically yours.
Imagine the specific moment where you can claim victory.
Imagine the moment that you actually achieve that goal that you've been dreaming about for so long,
procrastinating on for so long.
You've been kicking the can down the road saying, I'm going to do it tomorrow.
I'm going to do it.
I'm going to do it.
I'm going to do it.
Imagine the day that you actually achieve it.
You can cross the box off.
This wasn't just some pipe dream.
You made it happen.
The thing that everybody told you you couldn't do, the thing you got laughed at for in the
beginning, you actually did it. The fact is you're never going to have that moment unless you take
the first step. You're never going to have that moment if you keep procrastinating. As sweet as that
moment is, the fact is you are never going to taste it if you never take action. You don't have
self-awareness. You can't possibly change yourself. Everybody wants to think they can change themselves.
That's why self-help books sell so well. A lot of that, I believe, is nonsense, a lot of what's written,
because it's not realistic.
You're not seeing who people really are.
You're not digging underneath
and getting at what really motivates human behavior.
So I wanted a very realistic, grudal look at the human animal.
It's not all negative.
We have some positive traits.
But once you realize, oh, I am capable of feeling envy,
oh, I am irrational at times.
Oh, I have a dark side.
With that awareness, you can actually finally start to change yourself.
If you go visit the darkness that you've been running from,
you'll have the opportunity to leave a better person.
You'll have a better understanding of yourself.
You'll have a better understanding of your purpose.
But if you're going to take that trip
and the darkness comes to visit you,
it's a guest that will never leave.
We're not worried about what other people think about you.
You're worried what you think about you.
The craving we have for acceptance
is not from someone else, but rather from ourselves.
If who you are for yourself,
is sounded in self-acceptance and love,
then it's not that you don't care what other people think,
it just doesn't phase you anymore.
Every place where you were used, so to speak,
you leave you mark, you're writing your own story.
Think of stumbling blocks of stepping stones
and never stop writing.
And fourth, always remember,
the most important part of you is what's inside.
People who do not have the courage
to do what you're doing will resent you,
for doing it. You show them mirrors that they don't want to look at. When you take big risks and then
the reward comes, they don't want that to happen because then it makes them feel like they're less.
If you want a new life, get ready to watch your old one shatter. And it has to in a lot of ways
because who you used to be is not who you are anymore. And that's a growth thing and that's a good
thing. But I think a lot of people who are afraid of growth in a way, whether they want to talk
about it or not, resent the people that aren't. Because people don't want to face themselves.
You can only reach the level of which you're willing to face yourself. People don't want to
face themselves. They don't want to face the pain. They don't want to sit in it. They don't want
to process it. And so it makes it really hard watching other people do those things, watching other
people that are brave enough to go, you know what, I may not believe in myself right now,
but I am going to do this anyway because I know somewhere at the end of this, I will get where
I'm going. Find your outlet and become obsessed with it. Chase challenges that point.
push each of your limits and let the discomfort reveal your true strength.
Make yourself want to quit and then push through anyway.
Get started. Be relentless.
No excuses. No limits.
Just results.
Now get after it.
Life gets easier when you realize that there is no such thing as a wrong decision.
Decisions are simply pivots.
Each one you make will take you down a new road that will likely be both magic and miserable.
beautiful and ugly. Because life is a polarity. Easy doesn't exist without hard. Good doesn't
exist without bad. So relax, there is no right answer. Trust that whatever decision you make
can always be followed up by another decision.
