It's such a daunting task that, all the voices are saying no. But you still had the conviction that I know I can do this. And that's what it took for me to get here. Don't change the world.
Starting point is 00:01:17 Don't fix the world out there. Fix this one. Fixed by walk through this lifetime. You meet your friends. You meet your partner. You meet your colleagues whatsoever. And you're being triggered. Remove whatever is triggering you.
Starting point is 00:01:29 Remove it. One demon gun. Continue walking through lifetime. Why is it? triggering you. Why is it bothering you? Face that demon, remove it, gone. Till you're okay to walk through this lifetime. There's nothing that shakes you too much anymore. Whenever you go to do something, make certain that the people you surround yourself with are very successful. Environment is more important than heredity. In other words, the people
Starting point is 00:01:55 you find yourself surrounded by are more important to your success, your well-being than what's built right into your genes at birth. Pain and suffering are actually sacred. They're actually a blessing in disguise. Because they take you out of your normal day-to-day routines and they show you what life is really like. Life is harsh. It's difficult.
Starting point is 00:02:20 There's death. It's waiting in. But you're living in this kind of floating world where you're completely outside of that. You think everything's just fine. But when you're suffering, you're directly confronting the reality of life. is that through this, through discipline, through self-discipline, through repetition,
Starting point is 00:02:39 through tons of repetition, the same thing that you don't want to do? And that's the key thing. Through repetition of things you don't want to do, mental, like an armor for your mind. That's to armor your mind. Because the mind's like, okay, we suffer, we suffer every day. That's what we do. We do stuff that sucks every day. So then when the suck stuff comes, you're ready for it.
Starting point is 00:03:01 When you're suffering or you're lazy or you're procrastinating, doing something that's harder than the state that you're in, bounces you back faster. So if we're being real, if we're being honest, everybody in here is dealing with something. I don't care if you've been on this stage or not. We all have something that we're dealing with. And a lot of us, what we have would I like to call silent battles.
Starting point is 00:03:22 The battles that nobody sees, you're smiling for the camera, we're dying behind the scenes. We want people to help us without saying the word. I just hope that you finally step up and face the reality. Because you'll never win your war by running from your battles. And a lot of us, what we do, we run from it. You will never fix what you're not willing to face. Hey, listen, let's be real.
Starting point is 00:03:58 You won't always be motivated. But you have to learn how to be disciplined enough to keep going. You're always afraid to take the first step because all you see is every negative thing, 10 miles down the road. But you can do anything you want. You are bound by nothing. What are you passionate about? What do you want?
Starting point is 00:04:25 I love thinking about the quote, every guy essentially has two lives, and the second one starts once you realize you only have one. I like that a lot, because it's so fucking true. I mean, you've only got one shot at this, so you may as well at least make it kind of cool. And that's what the great ones do. They marshal and harness their resources, their mental focus, their physical energy, their personal willpower, their individual gifts, their time. and they focused them on just a few things.
Starting point is 00:04:56 And if you, I want you to think about it in your life, you stripped away all the noise, you focused on the signal, you stripped away all the complexity, you got monomoneically concentrated on just a few things, of course you'd be brilliant at those few things. Everybody wants to feel like a winner.
Starting point is 00:05:15 Everybody wants to feel like a winner. So how do you get the winning feeling? Simple answer, you win. Okay. Okay, how do you win? Well, and you cross the finish line first. Now, fortunately in life, what successful people do, and I learned this after many years,
Starting point is 00:05:33 it's so important is they set up finish lines for themselves that they can cross. And so if you complete a task of any value, it's like winning a little bit, and you feel like a winner. You start, you work, you complete the task. Silence the voice of doubt within you. Let your actions.
Starting point is 00:05:55 speak louder than your fears. Your dreams are built on the thoughts you choose to believe. 90% of your self-doubt is the result of a lie, that you overestimate the degree to which other people are noticing or observing your actions or behaviors. It's called the spotlight effect. It says that we think everyone is looking at us and focusing on us, when in reality, everyone is just focusing on themselves. No one is looking at you, no one really cares about the things you're doing because they're just concerned with themselves. So it's a reminder there's no one to impress. You don't have anyone to impress with your actions or decisions or the things that you're doing. The only person you need to worry about impressing is yourself. So remember that the next time
Starting point is 00:06:36 you're paralyzed by inaction, that next time you're paralyzed by self-doubt, no one really cares about you. That should be liberating. That should encourage you to live according to your values, your principles, to just be you. The bloodline breaker is you. It's any person that you. It's any person, any, you're qualified to be one, and so am I. And I don't care what anyone else says. That decides they want to break the generational curses and the crap and the shit they've had going on in their family genes and bloodline. It's going to take you getting pissed off. It's going to take you getting stirred up. Grab the rearview mirror, pointed in your direction. Is that who you're supposed to be? If it's not, you can make a decision today to be the
Starting point is 00:07:20 bloodline breaker in your family, and I promise you. You can literally curve history. just by waking up at this moment. Life's not fair. There is plenty of uncontrollable luck that deeply impacts our lives, where we are born, who we are born to, and the circumstances of our early childhood all have an outsized impact.
Starting point is 00:07:41 Bad people win and good people lose, all the time. But within that dark context, there are bright spots. The opportunity playing field is leveling. The world may never be truly fair, but it will always belong to those who make the most of what they have before them. Be grateful for what you have, and make the most of today.
Starting point is 00:08:01 I want to make sure everybody knows that they're enough. No matter what they go through, what they've been through, that they are enough. The number of calls for anything is people not knowing that they're enough. They feel like they're not enough. Just because you have some bad chapters doesn't mean your story can't end well. And every story has bad chapters. It's about you find the strength to turn the page. And so hold on to that in your struggle, in your journey,
Starting point is 00:08:29 and your pain and then turn your pain from your worst ending into your best friend do that use pain only to use you time and consistency is a powerful combination because the passing of time is already an absolute and now it's up to you to do a little bit every day just understand that doing a little is not hard that you got to do it every day that's the hard part and whether you choose to do it or not the time will pass anyone if you are to willing to give it your all. If you're not willing to go 110% just give up, you're doing nothing but wasting your time. Understand that the path to success is not going to be easy. You're going to suffer. You're going to face hardship. There are going to be days where you don't feel like
Starting point is 00:09:19 moving forward. But if you're able to push through it, if you're willing to give it everything you've got to achieve your goals, you will achieve success. If you acknowledge that the path is going to be easy but are willing to commit yourself to giving it your all to giving it 110% I guarantee that you will achieve your goals don't quit you've come so far already look back at the beginning see how much ground you've covered it wasn't easy right but you did it I'm all about perspective because I truly believe that you change your perspective you change your life when you change the way you look at things the things you look at change
Starting point is 00:10:03 How you view what you do impacts and effects how you do what you do. Perspective is everything. You can either look at mistakes and mess-ups as hindrances and roadblocks, or you can look at mistakes and mess-ups as opportunities in ways to grow and learn. Right. And when you shift your perspective, the way that you navigate those things, the way that you deal with them, the way that you go through them, changes drastically.
Starting point is 00:10:33 Stuff when you can chew and then chew let go. All of your growth will come from pushing beyond your current limit. And life is tough sometimes, but you are making it. And that there is a reason that you are going through what you're going through. Wherever you are in your life is where you're supposed to be. And it's part of your journey.
Starting point is 00:11:02 And I believe you know that this all ends ends really really well. It can be tough right now. It all ends really, really well. You say we want to get better, we say we want to learn about this or that, we say we want to make a change, we say we've decided to get serious. But is this true? Stoics had an expression, acta non-ferba, deeds, not words. So it's ironic that most of us say we want to make these improvements, but we can't or won't do the bare minimum. In life, you either change intentionally or you change by a crisis happening in your life.
Starting point is 00:11:45 Most of the time we change because of a girl broke up with us. Somebody ripped us off. You got backstaffed. You lost everything. You changed because shit hit the fan, right? The guys that change intentionally, you're almost like, but he's not the same. You don't seem for six months.
Starting point is 00:12:01 And he's changed again. If you can change intentionally, without crisis happening to you, you're ahead of everybody by 99% of people you're ahead of. It's not even a question. Those who are willing to risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go. You have to take the risk. It always looks impossible when things change. It always feels impossible when that thing ends.
Starting point is 00:12:30 It feels so impossible. But only when you keep telling the old story. Because in the old story, you can't see the vision. You can't feel it. In the old story, you'll do the old actions, and you can't imagine a better future. But that's your job. Job one, each day, bring the best of who you are, and move in the next right direction of integrity for you. You don't have to know all the steps. Move in the next right direction. Always be moving in the right direction of integrity for yourself. And if you can do that faithfully over and over and over and you keep growing. If you stop growing, you just got stuck in an old story, stuck in an old pattern, stuck in old thought. and concerns and worries, and of course, mired in that,
Starting point is 00:13:11 you can't see and you can't move. And we're just focusing on getting the finish line. We end up underappreciating and really disrespecting the process of where we're at right now. And sometimes where you're at right now, there might be a low, and that's why you're looking to finish line so much. But that low is a weakness, and we should be patient
Starting point is 00:13:33 in that weakness because there's an opportunity to learn and grow right there. You never grow for you, you never grow, from crossing the finish line because that's where we grow, develop, evolve, get better. But it's so easy that when you're in the hard, you just want to easy. So it's tough. But learning how to truly be patient in that weakness, I believe, is such, it's a hard thing to do, but it is transformative.
Starting point is 00:13:58 If you just focus on, okay, every single day I'm just trying to be the best I can in that day. It's not about being perfect. Like we always say, progression over perfection. Every single day I'm just trying to get up and be the best I can for that day. And I'm going to keep on doing this over a long period of time. What do you think will happen? If you do that for a long period of time, I'm talking six months, a year, two years, three years. What do you think will happen?
Starting point is 00:14:29 Where do you think you will be? Every single day, you just try to make the most out of that day. One step at a time, one moment at a time. 1% at a time. Think about where you'll be. Whether it is a missed opportunity, a breakup, a stupid decision, an embarrassing mistake, or simply just an unfortunate event, there's something in your past that is continuing to weigh on you. And it is seriously affecting the way you're able to simply operate on a day-to-day basis.
Starting point is 00:15:01 Why is that? And how do you fix it? But before we even get to that, you must understand one simple thing. Your past is your story. And the reality is eventually this dark shadow that continues to haunt your mind will eventually become the very stepping stone. That brings you closer to the version of yourself that you strive to be. World will see you as you see. People think that the world sees you a certain way and that that's how you are and then you have to change it.
Starting point is 00:15:34 That's not how it works. When you see yourself a certain way, the world respects that and sees you that way as well. And that goes for your habits, your lifestyle, or anything you're trying to work on. We create the image that the world accepts. And other people think that the world tells us what to be. And I think there is two classes of people, right? You have a class of people that understand, like, no, few, I'm going to f***le become what I want to become. And that's the small percentage.
Starting point is 00:15:56 And the rest of the percentage, the world tells them no three or four times. They're like, okay, I'm just going to take my place over here and be little and be small, and live small, you know, and just be a regular person. And then they're like, why is my life like this? Well, bro, because you're not seeing yourself as the way you should be. And if you can't see yourself that way, then you need to build yourself into someone you can't see that. Some days, it's not about having all the answers or making huge strides forward. Some days, the win is just showing up.
Starting point is 00:16:27 You don't need to be at your best every single day to make progress. You just need to stay in the game. Progress is made in the moments that you keep going when your mind is telling you. you to stop. Don't overthink you. Just show up for yourself today. One step at a time. Don't waste your life. Set your goals high. Quit thinking about what's wrong. Start thinking what's right. Love a little more, hate a little less. You have no idea what you're capable of doing. Make up your mind today. You're going to figure it out. It's not what you're capable of. It's what you're willing to do. It's not what you're capable of is what you're willing to do. I know,
Starting point is 00:17:07 plenty of people that are capable and no fewer people that are willing. Know that any experience that you've ever had in your life act as a break on your potential because there's hundreds of thousands of people who've had a worse than you could ever dream of who've gone on to accomplish wonderful things. People want to find their passion but you don't find it you create it and you create it by getting good at something and to get good at stuff you start by doing something you suck at. Then you get good, then you like it, then people ask how you found your passion.
Starting point is 00:17:42 Answer, by starting when you sucked and not giving up. New from Nespresso. BetMGM operates pursuant to an operating agreement with Eye Gaming, Ontario. What is yours will always find you? No matter how lost you feel right now. That dash between your birthday and your death date, that's what matters. There's millions of people that say next year, tomorrow, next time,
Starting point is 00:19:12 that took their dreams, that take their books, they take their gifts, that took their passion and their purpose, that took their legacy to the grade. discard today make today your day one if you truly made that decision moving forward to your best life has just begun every single day that you delay making the change in your behavior that you need to make you are making it that much harder to change every single day that you reinforce old habits old behaviors old ways of doing things the harder it's going to be to break them if you keep doing the things you're doing and you keep heading in the direction you're heading in by the time you're 40, 50, and 60, it's going to be near impossible to break those habits because you've spent
Starting point is 00:19:52 decades reinforcing the same thing. And what? You're going to wake up one day and just be a new person? You've been telling yourself that for years and it hasn't happened yet because you have to unlearn all of those habits, all of that behavior. But if you start today, it's going to be easier than if you start tomorrow or next week or next year or God forbid a decade from now. The longer you wait, the heart of your journey is going to be. It's just the way it is. You were always competing against yourself. There is two versions of you, a winner and a loser. You have within you someone who is going to do everything required to make their goals,
Starting point is 00:20:32 a reality, and you have within you someone who's going to procrastinate your life awake. You have someone in you that is disciplined and focused, and you also have someone in you that is easily distracted and does not execute. the plan. Which one of these versions of you is going to surface to the top? The one that you feed more. I face something every time I'm being exposed to a new challenge. Every time when I feel it's a challenge, it only tells me there again is a chance now to grow, let's say, to grow. Be grateful for the problems that you have because I I believe they're specifically designed for you, your growth, your development, and the things that you need to possess as an individual in order to grow and become the individual that you're destined to become.
Starting point is 00:21:38 So the set of problems I got, they specifically designed for aid. Study yourself, make yourself better. Don't worry about what anybody else is doing. Learn from them. Don't change who you are to become somebody else. Think about the time that you spend in your life trying to be somebody. you're not if you put that time and effort and energy into being who you were and who you are how much farther along would you be in life we create what we focus on
Starting point is 00:22:12 where focus goes the energy flows but most people are focusing on what they have to do not what they can do focusing on what is versus what they're here to create what makes you a leader is you see things as they are but then you see it better than it is and you make it the way you see it you come up with that and you make it happen. Simply put, you get to choose one of two ways to make any and every decision. One of two.
Starting point is 00:22:38 You can either move through life, acting on curiosity and hope, making decisions from a place of expansion and self-trust, or you can build your life and make decisions from a place of constriction, fear, and doubt. So when it comes down to it, ask yourself which of the two you value more and start acting from there.
Starting point is 00:22:56 Everybody around you supporting you, you're probably not trying to do something very big. You really aren't. Because most people don't want you to see you get too successful or too happy because it'll expose them. So don't let people with small lives and small thoughts project their limitations onto you. Because they're trying to get you to yield to get on their road. Don't yield. You were born to be on the road less traveled. Best revenge in life is success. There's nothing better than showing the world that you did what you said you would. Their words of negativity, their hate towards you saying that you can never do it is fucking irrelevant. I looked at where you
Starting point is 00:23:37 are right now. Be proud and throw up that middle finger to the outside world's negativity to the noise. Be the boring friend. Go to bed early. Prioritized work and chase your dreams rather than pleasure. They may say you're crazy, but you're doing this for yourself. Besides, you're meant for something more. It'll be worth it in the end. what you are going through and not how sad you are I was pain your feeling
Starting point is 00:24:04 the trauma that you're going through you are strong enough to see another day and it's not about being 100% every single day it's about just showing up that's what I do no matter what the odds
Starting point is 00:24:24 no matter how a feeling I'll show up every single day your journey might not have started with all the answers is laid out on a silver platter. You might have stumbled at the start, but those missteps don't define you. Instead, they forged you into someone
Starting point is 00:24:42 deserving of creating profound change in your life. Right now, you hold the power to change your future. Don't wait for the perfect time or circumstance. Believe in yourself. I believe in you too. A lower self and a higher self. You can recognize this. Your lower self comes out when you eat jump,
Starting point is 00:25:06 You spend two days just playing video games all day. When you don't get your work done, you're lazy, when you're not nice to people, you feel kind of bad, you feel kind of ugly and rotten. You may not admit to yourself, but something doesn't feel good about it. But when you have discipline, when you spend three months getting in really good shape and you get better habits, when you complete a project, when you work well with other people and get something done, you're tapping into that higher potential that each human being, every single human being has. has. Feeling lonely? Me too. I feel lonely a lot. But what loneliness is at its core is a lack of understanding of who we really are. When something bad happens, whine me to feel sort of a grievance,
Starting point is 00:25:58 that things aren't fair, to feel that other people aren't giving you what you want or what you deserve. Start from a position of feeling kind of sorry for ourselves. We deserve. We deserve to feel like, more than what we're getting. And so Morphati is very powerful in that you train yourself to accept everything that happens. It's sort of a banality to say that things happen for a reason, but there's some truth to it. For Nietzsche, it was this is life. Life involves pain, life involves adversity. You're going to die one day and it's not going to be pleasant. Your friends and family members, they're going to die one day and it's not going to be pleasant. You're going to have failure in life. People are going to hurt
Starting point is 00:26:36 you, but that is life. That's what it is. So to resist that, to be angry about that means to not love life itself. Join an easy crowd. You won't grow. Go where the expectations are high. Go where the demands are high. Go where the pressures are to perform, to grow, to change, to develop, to read, to study, to develop skills. Go where the demands are high. Go where the expectations are strong so that it'll provoke you pushy urgently insist that you not remain the same for the next couple of years the next five years that you'll grow and change the battle is feelings versus discipline and I hate living according to your feelings I hate acting according to your feelings they get you messed up dude they jack your life up
Starting point is 00:27:35 They get you in trouble because not all feelings are good. You cannot live your life based off of your feelings. Feelings do not equal reality. Feelings do not equal results. Won't get harder. Like this is the hardest part. And so if you can just make it through this, everything else is downhill. It's not that the things that you're, the dragons are going to slay,
Starting point is 00:28:05 aren't going to get bigger, they are. But you become so much more equipped to slay them back. And you have so many more allies. You have people in the stands cheering for it. You have the audience. You have all of these other things that are behind you. But at the beginning, it's just you with a stick against a bear.
Starting point is 00:28:21 Need you to understand that there is an undeniable power behind belief. And I know that you've never had anybody that truly believed in you. But I'm telling you that I believe in you. I know that you can overcome your destructive habits, that you could become more confident. You can earn more. You can let go of them traumas that shit no longer serving,
Starting point is 00:28:38 and you're better than that. I'm saying what if it starts saying why not. Some people are gonna live with the what if with the rest of their lives. But when I get old, I'm on my dead bed. Man, what if I would have took that chance? What if I would have just started? What if I would have took the first step?
Starting point is 00:28:53 Taking the first step, God is exactly where we are today. You take a chance to do something that you love or something you saw in a dream. It could change your life. But exactly where you are right now is always gonna be there. That's never gonna go anywhere. Your hometown's going to be the same. People are going to be doing a sanctity around you.
Starting point is 00:29:07 But a chance for you to get out of where you're at, step out and take a chance on life. And it could be the best as you ever made in your life that you can't sit down on. And what if? Sit down on your ass and think, damn, what would it be like to be there? Both can do it.
Starting point is 00:29:21 The hardest part about change is not making the same choice as you did the day before. Now, once people understand that they're going to be uncomfortable, then the question is, what thoughts do you want to fire and wire in your brain? What behaviors will you deal? demonstrate in one day in the act of closing your eyes and rehearsing who you're going to be when you open your eyes Begins to install neurological hardware in your brain to look like you've already done it
Starting point is 00:29:46 Whatever you're thinking about that's who you will become because thoughts lead the actions actions Beed the habits habits lead the lifestyle and that lifestyle is what dictates who you are There's the reality bad days are in store for all of us. It's guaranteed. It's the circle of life the question we need to ask ourselves is, is it really worth wasting perfectly good days fearing the bad ones? We'll chase happiness because they think that that's what they need. When in reality, happiness is just a byproduct of becoming the best version of yourself. Instead of chasing the emotion, become the type of person that is experiencing that emotion.
Starting point is 00:30:26 And you can be in that state more consistently. The Buddha says, being in a state of pain, anxiety, or in a state of suffering, comes from attachment. When you're attached to things, attached to people, attached to identities, attached to philosophies, then you end up being in a situation
Starting point is 00:30:49 where you experience pain. But you don't have to experience suffering if you live in a state of no expectation where you're just living life, taking it day by day, step by step, and enjoying yourself. You always have the pain of comparison.
Starting point is 00:31:04 It's easy to compare yourself in the age of the internet to other people, the pain of living in the future, right? the pain of what you could be, you should be, but you aren't. You can liberate yourself from a lot of these things by living in the present moment, by being here right now. We may not be able to control everything in our outer world, but we certainly can control our inner world.
Starting point is 00:31:31 And so it's not so important to not react. I mean, everybody reacts, I react. The question is, how long are you going to react? So if you keep an emotional reaction, going on for an extended period of time, you're memorizing that emotion and your body as the unconscious mind is believing it's living in the same past experience 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. We become addicted to the very life we don't even like.
Starting point is 00:32:00 So it's important then for people to realize then when you have that moment where you have crisis or something breaks down, that you do have control over it and it's a formula. If you think that everything is too good to be true, you're going to be right nine out of ten times. The only issue is that one out of every ten opportunity, that could be the one that could change your life. So optimists fail far more than cynics, but eventually they hit a home run. So always keep your guard up, protect yourself, be street smart, but never fully close yourself off to the fact that you might have a life-changing opportunity in front of you.
Starting point is 00:32:38 These are words to remember when anyone tries to tell you to give up, tell you to. to give in because whatever you're trying to do is impossible. Impossible is just a word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. I'm here to say you will make mistakes along the way. You will fall down. I have many times. But what we do after that fall is how we make history because impossible is nothing. If you look at the greats in any walk of life, the greats do things when they don't always want to. And that's the separation.
Starting point is 00:33:23 But ever be ashamed of anything you've done in your life. Face it, fix it, make it better. Build belief. Build confidence to the point where nothing can hurt you because you know exactly who you are. You've faced your demons. You were able to hear all your past traumas. I'm no longer embarrassed. I'm no longer ashamed. Venus Shane is one of the biggest things that kill people nowadays.
Starting point is 00:33:45 It's risky is living your life and never trying for anything and never doing something brave and never getting yourself scared and in a good way. You know, if I see something, I see an opportunity, I'm going to go for it. You know what I'm saying? We only, you know, we're all going to die one day. So we live like that. Live like you could die tomorrow. You know, go for it.
Starting point is 00:34:06 A lot of people think they have all this time so they fucking waste it. And they never go out and do what they really set out to do or accomplish or do anything great in their life. You think when you're young that you have all this time, you have no time. There's no time. There is no tomorrow, you know? There is no tomorrow, that shit. Let's get all this done today. Contemplate the price you pay for inaction.
Starting point is 00:34:33 So I think a lot of the time we presume that inaction has no cost, but it does. Inaction does have a cost. your attention is the most important thing that you have. So contemplate the price that you pay for inaction. It's a justification for you doing things sooner rather than later and committing. Every morning when you get up, say over and over to yourself, do it now, do it now, do it now, I do it now, do it now. Whenever you have this tendency to procrastinate, program your subconscious mind with this automatic conditioned command, do it now. Do it now. Do it now. Do it now. Now, do it now.
Starting point is 00:35:12 The key to overcoming procrastination is to develop a sense of urgency. Be the kind of person who gets things done quickly. Be the kind of person who launches fast on a task. Say over and over to yourself, do it now, do it now, do it now. Do you know that less than 2% of the population have a sense of urgency? And that there's not an example of a successful person anywhere who does not have a sense of urgency. That if you just develop a sense of urgency when somebody gives you a task, that you get
Starting point is 00:35:37 on it and do it fast, that alone will move you into the top ranks in a very very important. short period of time. How do you try to make them understand you when they don't even understand themselves? They judge your actions but don't even care to think about theirs. They criticize your every move while they blindly stumble around. You're trying to garner respect from the wrong peoples. It is apples and oranges. They view reality differently than you do.
Starting point is 00:36:01 And every minute you spend trying to sell them on your dream is a minute you are not spending actually trying to achieve them. When you're grateful, you can't be worried. It can't be fearful. When you're grateful, you can't be angry. And anger and fear would screw people up most in their relationships, in their life, and their business. So I wire myself. I'm saying to you that most people want to be happy, but their habit is to be worried or pissed off or frustrated or stressed. And so they've got a highway to stress and they've got a dirt road to happiness. One of my most powerful motivational frames is thinking about the person that I want to become as the destination and thinking like, I want to be bulletproof. I want to be bulletproof in these ways. I want to be bulletproof in my marriage. I want to be bulletproof in my business, et cetera. And I think about that man, whoever I want him to be, like we said, hell is when you look at who you could have been and realize that you're not that person. And then I think, if I were to make that man, what would I put that man through to make him who he is? Like, it wouldn't
Starting point is 00:37:03 be easy times. It wouldn't be quick wins. It wouldn't even be easy wins. It would be the toil and the struggle of achieving and reaching for things that are right out of grasp. And so when I'm going through those like really harder times, I like to think of like looking in my mental mirror of like I'm making you. I'm not there yet, but I'm making you. If you had to do it all over again, would you make the same choices? Choice. I can't run from what we are. How our destiny chooses us. Fate, destiny. These words get thrown around like there's some kind of magic, like the universe has already laid out a perfect plan for your life, and all you have to do is wait for it to unfold.
Starting point is 00:38:13 But let me tell you something. That's not how it works. Destiny isn't something that's handed to you. Fate isn't some predetermined path that's just waiting for you to stumble onto it. If you think it is, you'll spend your whole life waiting, hoping, wondering why things aren't happening for you. That's not destiny. That's passivity.
Starting point is 00:38:39 And there's a big difference between the two. Your destiny, your real destiny, is out there. It exists. But it's not waiting for you. It's waiting on you. Waiting for you to step up. Waiting for you to take the first step. Waiting for you to stop hoping that life will hand you something and start creating it for
Starting point is 00:38:59 yourself. Here's the truth, and it might be hard to hear. The universe doesn't care about your dreams. It doesn't owe you anything. It's not going to put success. meaning or purpose into your hands just because you want it badly enough. If you want to chase your destiny, you have to be willing to fight for it. You have to be willing to bleed for it.
Starting point is 00:39:21 You have to be willing to go to war with yourself for it. And yes, I said with yourself, because that's where the real battle is. It's not the world that's stopping you. It's not the obstacles, the competition, or the circumstances. It's you. It's the voice in your head that tells you. You're not good enough. You can't do this. You're going to fail. It's the fear that keeps you small, the doubt that keeps you frozen, the excuses that keep you from taking the risks you know you need to take. But here's the thing about fate. It's not fixed. It's not rigid. It bends to those who are willing to act. It's forged by those who refuse to accept the life that's been handed to them, who refuse to settle for less than what they're capable of. Fate doesn't decide your future.
Starting point is 00:40:12 You do. And let's be honest. Chasing your destiny is terrifying. It's uncomfortable. It's messy. Because to chase your dreams, to go after the life you want, you have to let go of the life you already have. You have to be willing to step into the unknown, to take risks, to fail, not once, not twice, but over and over again.
Starting point is 00:40:35 That's the price of destiny. That's the cost of greatness. Most people aren't willing to pay that price. Most people look at their dreams and think, that would be nice, but they're not willing to sacrifice for it. They're not willing to risk their comfort, their security, their ego. And so they stay where they are. They settle.
Starting point is 00:40:57 They let their dreams die inside of them, slowly, quietly, until they convince themselves that they never really wanted them in the first place, but not you. Not if you're still listening. Because if you're still here, there's something inside you that refuses to settle. There's something inside you that knows you're meant for more. There's something inside you that's willing to fight for it, no matter how hard it gets,
Starting point is 00:41:24 no matter how many times you stumble, no matter how much it hurts. And let me tell you, it will hurt. Chasing your destiny will break you. It will push you to your limits. It will force you to confront every fear, every insecurity. every weakness you have. But that's the point. Because destiny isn't just about what you achieve.
Starting point is 00:41:45 It's about who you become in the process. It's about the strength you build, the resilience you forge, the person you create through the struggle. You have to understand something. The version of you that's sitting here right now. The version of you that's safe, that's scared, that's comfortable. That version of you cannot achieve your destiny.
Starting point is 00:42:08 It's not capable of it. If you want to claim your fate, you have to let that version of yourself die. You have to shed the old you, the weak you, the you that's been holding yourself back. And that's hard. It's painful. Because growth is painful. Change is painful. But you know what's even more painful?
Starting point is 00:42:30 Regret. Looking back on your life and realizing that you let fear win, realizing that you had a chance to create something incredible, And you didn't take it, realizing that you let the life you could have had slip through your fingers because you were too afraid to reach for it. Don't let that be your story. Don't let fear, doubt, or comfort keep you from chasing your dreams. Because your destiny is out there.
Starting point is 00:42:55 And yes, it's going to take everything you have to reach it. But isn't that the point? Isn't that what makes it worth it? Fate doesn't favor the passive. It doesn't reward the ones who sit and wait. Fate favors the bold, the ones who step into the fire, the ones who take risks, the ones who fail and rise and fail again, because they know that every failure is a step closer to their dreams.
Starting point is 00:43:21 So, what are you waiting for? Stop waiting for permission. Stop waiting for the perfect moment. Stop waiting for someone to tell you that you're ready. You'll never be ready. The stars will never align. The perfect time will never come. Your destiny isn't a gift.
Starting point is 00:43:52 It's a challenge. It's a test. And the question is, are you willing to face it? Are you willing to do what it takes, no matter how long it takes, no matter how hard it gets, no matter how many times you fall? Because if you are, you're willing to step into the unknown, to fight for your dreams, to claim your fate. Then there's nothing in this world that can stop you.
Starting point is 00:44:17 not the obstacles, not the failures, not the doubts. The only thing standing between you and your destiny is you. So stop waiting. Start moving. And don't stop until the life you've dreamed of is the life you're living. Your fate is yours to claim. So claim it. New from Nespresso.

BetMGM operates pursuant to an operating agreement with Eye Gaming Ontario. Now you're going to have to go through hell. Worse than any nightmare that you ever dreamed. But I would say, bring it on. Then I often say to people, even have to have pain, one way to the other. Which pain would you like?
Starting point is 00:46:09 The most important question to ask is what pain do you want in your life? What are you willing to struggle for? To me, a fight is not a fight into there's resistors, until there's something to overcome. If you gaze into the abyss long enough, you see the light, not the darkness. But in the end, I know you'll be the one standard. And every day you wake up, it sucks, and when it's over, you feel bad. It sucks, you feel better. Until you win, effort always goes and noticed.
Starting point is 00:46:42 Get used to it. No one roots for you until everyone roots for you. That's just how it works. And the truth is, the price of progress is pain. The pain of discipline or the pain of regret, go for the discipline because it weighs ounces. The regret weighs tons. And unfortunately, resilience matters in the pain of regret.
Starting point is 00:47:04 millions matters in success. I don't know how to teach it to you except for I hope suffering happens to you. The greatest people on the planet have suffered the most. Suffering is not bad. I'm suggesting suffering is awesome. The ego runs from suffering because it's the death of the ego. But I believe pain, difficult times, failure, loss is purification and preparation for personal heroism. At the day, I asked myself one question, can I take one more step?
Starting point is 00:47:39 And usually the answer is yes. There comes this time in everyone's life where, you know, destiny taps you on the shoulder and it says it would be a shame if you weren't ready when that happened. And I think like when your dream is so big, when you have something, it's hard to give up. You know, like you get to the point that you're capable of risking more. for just a dream. Pain is part of success.
Starting point is 00:48:11 Just to compare pain in the positive thing. Success is not coming on a silver bladder. You need to work for it. The moment you are working for it, that's all you undergo pain. Yeah. Pain in your body and pain in your mind thinking. You know, but at the end of it you'll enjoy. My point was that a life without pain is a life without child.
Starting point is 00:48:36 without challenge. And a life without challenge is a life without growth. So not only do I embrace the challenge, embrace the pain associated with challenge and growth, but I even look forward to it in many regards. I invoke, please, give me some challenges here because I need to be tested. I need to be stronger. I need to grow in my resolve with whatever weakness is in my character. Pain is a beautiful thing. Challenge is what life is about. A life without challenge, a life without pain is a life without growth. And where there is no growth, there's stale, stagnant energy. Listen to the pain. It's both history teacher and fortune tell. Pain teaches us who we are we. Sometimes it's so bad and we feel like we're dying. But we can't really live till we died a little, can we? Overcome the suffering.
Starting point is 00:49:38 It's going to be there. You're going to lose your mother. You're going to lose your father. You're going to lose animals and humans that you love. It's going to happen. You're going to lose money. And at the same time, people are also going to hurt you even though you don't even know what you did wrong.
Starting point is 00:49:58 Things like this are going to happen in this lifetime. To wait for better times to come where the world will be completely in peace and you can walk peacefully over the street, never having the fear that somebody's going to come and do something to you. It's not going to happen. If we don't create the better times, nothing's going to happen.
Starting point is 00:50:20 When it comes to desiring a life, looking at, okay, what is it that I want? You need to be very, very careful about what the process is in order to get the outcome that you want. Because if you want the outcome, but you're not prepared to live the life needed to get it, you're just asking for disappointment. for disappointment.
Starting point is 00:50:36 If you can answer that question and not take another step, that is real failure. That is real quitting. So a lot of people can take one more step but they choose not to. I don't know if you can take two steps. You're going to answer that question after you take the first step. But I can always take one more steps if I choose not to, that's on me. I got to live with that. Most people live because most people's lives are designed around treading a path that is void of challenge.
Starting point is 00:51:05 The minute they recognize challenge or pain, they move the other way. But a weak perspective, most people are bored if you ask them. That's because they're living their lives in a lie that is shrouded in comfort. It doesn't exist. They're not challenged. They're not growing. They're bored and they're better off dead. Your lightness is found in your pain.
Starting point is 00:51:32 embrace it, love it, and grow from it. How do you hang in there during the hard, difficult times? Less, you must have faith. You've got to believe in yourself. You've got to believe in your abilities. You've got to believe in your service, your company, your ideas, unquestionably. You've got to have faith, and that faith gives you patience. That is not going to happen as quickly as you want it to happen.
Starting point is 00:52:04 A lot of things are going to happen that will catch you off God. And so therefore, you've got to deal with and handle it as it comes. And not only that, but that faith and patience drives you into action. Whether it's adversity, whether it's suffering, whether it's pain, if you choose to run towards it, who you become on the other side of it is a newer, higher, more transcendent version of you. My mentality when I do start to be like, damn, this is a lot. You know what I'm saying? It's just like, you know, that's what it's supposed to feel like.
Starting point is 00:52:53 If you are going toward what the vision look like, and that's like greatness. That's, you know, on multiple levels. That's the vision that I'm working toward. So I'm like, I just think about that. Like, it ain't supposed to feel, you know, comfortable. It's supposed to be uncomfortable. It's supposed to stretch you. It's supposed to be a burden to a degree.
Starting point is 00:53:12 and you gotta, you know, wrap your mind around that and accept it and embrace it and you catch the wisdom off for that. I even miss the pain. That's why I even try and tell people that just embrace the struggle, though, because it one day it's gonna be done. I look back on them times
Starting point is 00:53:29 and actually somehow miss them, though. Progress is pain. Most people do not want to experience pain. They like comfort. So if you want progress, you must be willing to end the process, experience pain so that you may achieve your goal. Heroes and villains always have the same backstory or pain.
Starting point is 00:53:53 The difference is what they choose to do about it. Villain says, the world hurt me, I'll hurt it back. The hero says, the world heard me. I'm not going to let it hurt anybody else. Heroes use pain. Villains are used by it. Make up your own mission statement. What do you want to be in life? And once you do that,
Starting point is 00:54:15 that now you can work with somebody to get better. You can work with yourself to get better. But until you know what you want to stand for, you will always just be sitting down. You'll never stand for anything. So there is a difference between something shows up in your lifetime and you are ignoring it, you are avoiding it, we're trying to run away from it, and you face it. You face the anger, you face the fear, you face the jealousy, you face the pain, you face what you don't like, you face the fact that you are out of your comfort zone. Why? Because you know that once you have overcome it and find a solution for it, it's solved for this lifetime. You don't have to necessarily have done anything wrong for things to get completely out of control. It's a terrifying doctrine.
Starting point is 00:55:29 But it's not a hopeless doctrine because it still says that there's a way forward. There's a pathway forward. And the pathway forward is to adopt a mode of being that has some nobility so that you can tolerate yourself and perhaps even have some respect for yourself as someone who's capable of standing up in the face of that terrible vulnerability and suffering. Well, certainly by the avoidance of deceit, particularly in language, but also by the adoption of responsibility for the condition. of existence and some attempt on your part to actually rectify them.
Starting point is 00:56:05 You know, if you take people and you expose them voluntarily to things that they are avoiding and are afraid of, you know, that they know they need to overcome in order to meet their goals, their self-defined goals. If you can teach people to stand up in the face of the things they're afraid of, they get stronger. Success is not rocket science. You go and find the thing that you don't know. Learn the thing you don't know and do the things you don't know and do the things. you haven't been doing and get the life you say you want. All I wanted was unfamiliar. But you have to understand that most people don't invite in unfamiliar
Starting point is 00:56:44 because people are more committed. People are more committed to a familiar discomfort than they are to an unfamiliar new possibility. The key words are familiar and unfamiliar. See, we want to have a new experience while having some of the same behaviors because they're familiar to us. that they're familiar.
Starting point is 00:57:04 Some of them not even comfortable. People are in relationships are not even comfortable. It's just familiar. People are still at jobs that aren't even comfortable. They're just familiar. So that's the craziest that we are more committed to a familiar discomfort than we are to an unfamiliar new possibility because of the familiarity, not even the comfort.
Starting point is 00:57:29 To give people a vision of themselves beyond their mental conditioning and their circumstances, to let them know that they have greatness where they know, But on greatness, it's not our destiny. It's a choice that you have to make every day. You have to put yourself in a state of perpetual discomfort in order to manifest your greatness. You've got to reach outside of your conference zone. So every day I look forward to the opportunity to inspire people to reach higher, to understand and know that what they've done is only a tip of the iceberg of what's possible for it.
Starting point is 00:58:02 Well, I think a fair bit of that's probably be found. You can find it in shame. You can find it in guilt. You can find it in conscience. You can find it in anger. You can find it in interest and engagement and beauty. There's lots of pathways. If you're angry about something in the world, well, it's speaking to you in a moral sense.
Starting point is 00:58:29 This shouldn't be that way. Well, maybe you're the person who should do something about it in some manner. Maybe it'll take your whole life to figure out how to do that. Negative emotions can. be a pathway to transformation. I'm not trying to romanticize them. They can crush you completely and leave you with nothing for sure and they can go badly astray. But shame, that's a good one. What am I ashamed of that? Well, can you fix any of that? Because you might ask yourself, let's say you're so ashamed and so crushed that you're nihilistic and you can't see any hope
Starting point is 00:59:25 for life. You're just done. You might think, well, what if I was less ashamed? I'm going to work these things that I'm ashamed of and just see. Like, does my life improve enough so that I'm not so bitter about it now? Or I'm not so hopeless about it now. And my experience is generally being that that works. It works. They're winners. They're losers.
Starting point is 00:59:57 And there are people who have not discovered how to win. All they need is some help and assistance, just a little support. All they need is some insight or just different strategy, a plan of action to make some adjustments that will open up the key to a whole new future for them, that will give them access to the unlimited power that they have within themselves. If we do not do what we cannot do, there's no issue. If we do not do what we can do, we are a disaster.
Starting point is 01:00:47 So I'm saying, at least are you as joyful as you were when you are five years of age. At 3540, if you are not as joyful and as exuberant as a five-year-old boy or girl, that you were, obviously you're a disaster because you're not even square one. That was square one of your life when nothing was in your control. All right? You're not even in square one, you were sunk deeper. That's a disastrous life. Never before in the history of humanity, any generation had
Starting point is 01:01:23 these kind of conveniences, these kind of comforts, these kind of wonderful things that we have today. Never before human survival was better organized than it is today. today. If we don't do it now, when? Many great beings have come on this planet, but when they spoke, hardly ten people could hear. Today we can sit here and talk to the entire world. When we have this, if we do not transform the world into a more loving, joyful, exuberant humanity, it simply means we don't care. I don't want to go as that. So it's little tiny adjustments that have the most profound effect on
Starting point is 01:02:08 people and it's never too late to say I'm enough I can find love and now if you give someone the power to make you feel good you give them the power to make you feel bad and if you do it to yourself you feel so much better it makes you slightly bullet-pick if you still need other people we all need other people but the dialoguing with yourself and starting with I'm enough are you willing to be inconvenienced for your conviction And as you ramp up, as you ramp up, you're going to have questions. You're going to be afraid.
Starting point is 01:02:52 I do more things afraid now than I do fearless. Because the bigger you play, the bigger your breakdowns. Fear fuels you. Fear is informing you. It's not stopping you. I'm not enough. I need more. And if you feel enough, you start to feel equal.
Starting point is 01:03:16 See, most of us feel unequal. Really, what I'm Enough is doing is reactivating, re-manifesting, regenerating what you were born with, an ability to say, I'm enough. Fight every battle, everywhere, always. In your mind, everyone is your enemy. Everyone is your friend. Every possible series of events is happening all at once.
Starting point is 01:03:55 Live that way that nothing will surprise you. Everything that happens will be something that you've seen before. Remember this. All your victories are defined by your struggles. Temporary greatness is earned every time you don't quit. Fear is not real. The only place that fear can exist is in our thoughts of the future. It is a product of our imagination, causing us to fear things that do not at present and may not ever exist. That is near insanity. I do not misunderstand me. Danger is very real.
Starting point is 01:04:49 But fear is a choice. When you make it, you'll realize that you always had it in you. When you accomplish everything that you set out to accomplish, the financial freedom, the life. The Strong Network. You'll look back on these days and smile, because if only you knew where you'd end up, the sleepless nights wondering if you'll make it, you would have been laughing too.
Starting point is 01:05:14 Muhammad Ali said I hated every one of those training sessions, but I said to myself, don't give up. He said, I didn't want to do those, but I wanted to be heavyweight champion of the world. The most successful entrepreneurs, creatives are people who capitalized on the potential on the potential they had. Everything that hurts you, find a way to overcome it.
Starting point is 01:05:42 Everything that you feel is difficult for you. Find a way to still do it. As long as you can do the things, stop listening to the mind. But you want to see if you're a brave person, what they call the 4 o'clock in the morning courage, Wait when things go completely to pieces, when things are the worst, when your very best deal falls apart and your rent is late and you're tired and you're sick and everybody is mad at you and your car doesn't work, then it's the person that picks themselves up and says nothing is going to stop me. You know, the best quality in the world that you can develop, and I give it to you because I made it my life's habit to develop this quality. I hope I've got it, but I don't know for sure.
Starting point is 01:06:40 But the quality is to develop the quality of being unstoppable. develop the quality of being unstoppable. Say in yourself that no matter what life throws at me, it'll never stop me. No matter how rough it gets, I will never quit. And nothing will ever stop me. Make the decision that you can be tired, you can be worn out, but nothing is ever going to stop it. That's a wonderful decision.
Starting point is 01:06:59 Because no matter what life throws at you, you pick yourself up. And you say, okay, give it your best shot, as Fonzie says, nothing is going to stop me. It's a wonderful feeling. It's a wonderful feeling. It's the basis of self-esteem. Look out there. Out there is the perfect lap. No mistakes. Every gear change, every corner. Perfect. You see it? I think so. Most people can't. Most people don't even know it's out there, but it is. It's there.
Starting point is 01:07:47 Betray your destiny and see how long it takes you to be drowning in a storm. It'll happen immediately. And of course it will because what's calling you to be your best is exactly the thing that's pushing you forward to manifest yourself most fully in the world. It's what you need. You run away from that. The boat's going to start to rock very, very quickly. The unfulfilled potential is the story of most people's lives. It is. It is. And it could have been the story of mine. I tell a lot of people, people go, what's your biggest fear in life? And my biggest fear, honestly, was, let's say this. Let's say, I don't care if you believe in God or not.
Starting point is 01:08:40 I don't care. So this is play a game with me. Let's say, let's say you're God. And we have a big, fucking long line of people. And I made to heaven, 75 years old, I'm 300 pounds. I made to heaven. I worked for equal at my entire life, praying for cockroaches. That's what I did.
Starting point is 01:08:55 I'm dead. I'm in heaven now. And you are at, you're judging us all now. So we're in line. We're all sitting there in line. And you rip it down. I'm next in line, David Goggins. I see my name.
Starting point is 01:09:07 I see all this shit, and God goes, hey, you say, read this, man. And I'm reading this list, and I'm seeing 182 pounds, Navy Seal, Ranger School, Motivational Speaker, Change their Lives. Okay, man, pull-up record, holy shit. And I'm like, that's not me, man. And God looks at me and says, that's who you were supposed to be. One word. Persistence. Nothing in this world can take the place of good old persistence.
Starting point is 01:09:45 Talent won't. Nothing's more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius won't. Unrecognized genius is practically a cliché. Education moved by the world as fool of educated fools. Persistence and determination alone are all powerful. Do you have the kind of patience for a question? to get what you're looking for.
Starting point is 01:10:12 Because your mind might be running a million miles an hour, but the world will not always operate on your level. See, there's a skill in communicating who you are to other people, and it's a freaking hard thing to do. Most people define themselves by very simple things because they don't want to go down the rabbit hole of their own mind, but you have a much greater responsibility to never let go of who you are, but communicate that to all of you.
Starting point is 01:10:39 that's all different kinds of people. You only get confidence by doing certain things over and over again that build a solid foundation within your own mind that you can do whatever you need to do, that you have what it takes to be successful. Self-doubt is the great paralyzer of all activity. We all have self-doubt. And the way we overcome that self-doubt
Starting point is 01:11:05 is by doing the things that we would normally back away from. As I say, continue to move forward. Self-confidence begets great. gets great achievement. You cannot imagine a successful person with lacking self-confidence. If you persist until you succeed at achieving a goal that is important to you and you complete it like a degree in school or you wrap up a sale or you make a career successful, you plug into your subconscious mind a success pattern and then the subconscious mind running on the basis of inertia attempts to adjust your words, actions, and feelings to duplicate that success pattern.
Starting point is 01:11:42 And that's why they say nothing succeeds like success. My actions today, undeniable proof that I deserve the life I dream about or just empty promises. When you think about becoming stronger, becoming better, becoming whole, it's tempting to imagine a grand transformation. A single moment where everything changes. Where the weight is lifted, the struggle ends. And you finally arrive at the very. version of yourself you've always dreamed of. But life doesn't work like that.
Starting point is 01:12:33 Change doesn't work like that. The truth is, the person you're meant to be is built in the quiet, not in the sweeping gestures or the dramatic breakthroughs, but in the small, unremarkable steps you take every day. That's how strength is built, not all at once, but gradually, piece by piece, moment by moment. Every small decision you make, every time you choose discipline over comfort, effort over ease, courage over fear, you're shaping yourself. You're adding to the foundation of who you are brick by brick. And at first it might not look like much. It might not feel like you're getting anywhere.
Starting point is 01:13:16 But one day, you'll look back and you'll realize that every small step was part of something bigger. You don't become strong by lifting the heaviest weight all at once. You become strong by showing up day after day, lifting what you can, and gradually growing into the person who can lift more. You don't become wise by reading a thousand books in a single sitting. You become wise by seeking knowledge, one page at a time, reflecting on it, letting it shape the way you see the world. Life is a collection of moments, and the moments that matter most often don't feel monumental when they're happening. There are the mornings you choose to get out of bed, even when you don't feel like it. The times you choose to say no to the things that don't serve you and yes to the things that do.
Starting point is 01:14:09 The times you forgive yourself for falling short and try again anyway. There's a quiet poetry to that, isn't there? To the idea that the biggest changes in your life will come from the smallest moments. But here's where it gets philosophical. Why do the small things matter so much? Why does the slow, incremental path lead to transformation? It's because those small actions are where your character is formed. They're where you prove to yourself over and over again who you are and what you stand for.
Starting point is 01:14:46 You see, every decision you make, no matter how small, is a vote for the person you want to become. Every time you choose to act in alignment with your vexed, values, you're casting a vote for your future self. And every time you stray from that path, you're casting a vote for someone else. There's a Japanese concept called Kaizen. It's the philosophy of continuous improvement, small, incremental changes that lead to significant results over time. It's the idea that you don't need to be perfect. You don't need to fix everything at once. You just need to be 1% better today than you were yesterday. Because, one percent better every day doesn't just add up. It compounds. It creates momentum. It turns into
Starting point is 01:15:35 something far greater than the sum of its parts. But here's the catch. The process is slow. So slow that it's easy to doubt it. Easy to get frustrated. Easy to think. This isn't working. I'm not changing. I'm not getting anywhere. And that's when most people give up. Not because they can't do it, but because they've convinced themselves that it's not worth it. So how do you keep going? How do you stay committed to the small, quiet work of becoming who you're meant to be? You remind yourself that it's not about perfection. It's not about the result.
Starting point is 01:16:18 It's about the process. It's about the kind of person you're becoming. Day by day, decision by decision. There's a beauty in that isn't there. New from Nespresso. Starting point is 01:17:41 Or you could stay on the other side of the jungle and not cross the jungle. But if you choose to cross the jungle, the jungle has all sorts of things that can do your harm and bite you and everything along those lines. And so the best way to do that is to go into that with people who can see things differently and watch themselves and struggle to make it to the other side. And then what I've discovered along the way is that it's always a struggle and I enjoy. being in the drum doll. My unflagging belief in one simple thing, I can learn anything. I think people have to realize that they have to accept failure, but don't accept defeat. I think whenever you're trying to do something great, whenever you're trying to be successful,
Starting point is 01:18:30 you're going to face failures, you know, but it's those lessons in the failures that really take you to greatness. The entire reality was based on what I believed was real, and what I believed was real. real and what I believed was true about myself, about what's possible, and that I could change that, that's when my life started to change. And he said, if you start to change the way you think, and you start to learn every day for one hour to upgrade your knowledge and your skills, and then you take action every day on the things that are the most important instead of all the different things that you can do. One year, you'll be at a totally different destination. Five, ten years, your life won't be the same. So what would be best for you? Three to five years down the road
Starting point is 01:19:23 if you were really taking care of yourself like you were someone that you thought should be around. And people are very imbevolent about whether they should be around. So this is a lot harder than you think. So you need that vision. And then what you also need is a vision of what your life would be like if you let yourself deteriorate in precisely the foolish ways that you know that you would deteriorate if you let yourself go. And that's contemplation too. It's like, okay, if I let myself go, where would I end up? Haven't developed grit yet. And so grit is the ability to persevere, to see things through, to go past the point at which it is stopped being fun and it becomes boring because you believe in your end goal enough. You're excited by what you're trying to accomplish so
Starting point is 01:20:06 much that you're willing to fight through all of that difficulty. You're willing to fight through the boredom. You're willing to fight through the unise that are when you step outside your comfort zone, you're doing things you're not good at, and things that are boring. Those are the two things that I find kill most people. They just cannot handle the things that make them go, oh God, like I'm not very good at this,
Starting point is 01:20:24 and I'm feeling really badly about myself, and they forget that they can get good on a long enough timeline. And then, too, inevitably, in any pursuit of greatness, in any endeavor where you're trying to gain master, you're gonna get bored. Because practice is repetition. It's doing something over and over and over
Starting point is 01:20:40 and over to really train yourself, to get to the point where you're truly exceptional, and there's just so much bored of inherent in that process. Primarily, we learn the most about ourselves and others when we're uncomfortable. Because the moment you move into that uncomfortable state, normally a program jumps in. And that program jumps in because a person doesn't want to be in the present moment and engage it consciousness.
Starting point is 01:21:04 That is what starts the process of change. And so we have to unlearn before we relearn. We have to break the habit of the old self before we reinvent the new self. We have to unmemorize emotions that are stored in the body, and then we condition the body to a new mind and to an emotion. Progress to just keep getting better. Little incremental gains, every day, every week, every month, every quarter. And even when you move backwards a couple of steps,
Starting point is 01:21:28 what's the progress that you made in what you learned? So I was taught that failure is an opportunity to learn. And I was also taught to disassociate me being a failure from failing. If you get yourself in a state of certainty that this is gonna work, I'm gonna find the way. And if this doesn't work, I will make the way. Then you tap a lot more potential.
Starting point is 01:21:53 And when you're certain in your potential, you take massive action. When you take massive action, you really believe in something, you get great result. Because the long-term impact of making a decision from your heart and soul, that is where the best life, comes from. The little voice in the back of your head that says it matters, it sees
Starting point is 01:22:18 those outcomes down into the future and it's telling you that it matters and if you would like the positive outcome over the negative outcome which is like I said your constant choice you bloody well better sit down and do what you're supposed to. If you're interested you'll do what's convenient you'll come up with stories and excuses and reasons why you can't and you'll use your education as an excuse you'll use your stories and excuse you'll use all of that as your reasons why you can't He says, but if you're committed, you will do whatever it takes. You'll let go of your stories.
Starting point is 01:22:53 You'll let go of your excuses. You'll let go of all the reasons you currently have that are formulating your identity of yourself. And you'll learn how to let that go and become who you are destined to become. Why do most people fail? The answer is they never start. Now, the reason that most people never start is because they don't. think that they're going to get a result from their actions. And then that's going to come down to a belief that they believe about themselves.
Starting point is 01:23:26 I'm too stupid. I'm not good enough. I don't have the natural talent. That's why most of you will fail. The hard thing is taking the first step. Everything else is just persistence. Because so many times people have a tendency to devalue the moment today. What they do is they greatly value the destination.
Starting point is 01:23:58 And so they kind of talk about, well, when I get there, or if I arrive there, or when I do that, or when I accomplish this. And they don't understand that success is a daily thing. And I'm here to share with you that the secret of success is determined by your daily agenda. It's not so much courage. It's a matter of, it's less risky to. say something, then to remain silent when you know there's something to be said. I know that to be the case.
Starting point is 01:24:33 And so lots of times in life, it's like there's no pathway forward that's going to shield you from risk. You get to pick this risk or you get to pick this risk. You don't have to have this victim mentality. You don't have to go around telling everybody your sad story of what happened to you and why you're this way. You can go and rewrite the story. You can grab the pen back from the hands of the abusers, of the bullies, of those that created limiting beliefs. and you could rewrite the story yourself in all the blank pages that exist in your book of life. But that only happens when you start doing the self-work, when you commit to self-mastery,
Starting point is 01:25:21 and I'm telling you is not just by reading a couple of self-help books. Figuring out who you are at your core, at your essence, what makes you tick, and only then will you be able to set higher standards of expectations for yourself. Only then will you begin to reach the milestone of impact, income, influence, inspiration. God, it's such a fucking cool thing to be able to break through the seals of all your limiting beliefs in life. There's going to be things that go on that are out of your control. The worst thing you can do is let something that's out of your control control you. Get control of yourself.
Starting point is 01:26:01 Get control of your emotions. Don't get angry. Don't get frustrated. Instead, stay calm and figure out how to move forward. There's a terminology and psychiatry called Relationship. illness. You've heard people say, you make me sick. Some people can make you sick that if you fool around with them long enough will send you to an early grade that will drive your blood pressure up, that will turn your hair gray. Who is that you need to get out of your life? You need
Starting point is 01:26:38 to ask yourself to question, what is this relationship doing to me? Might be your spouse, might be friends, might be your job, making you sick, stressing you out. And you being a volunteer victim, are you willing to die for it? Listen, if there's only one fucking pedestal, you must be on it. The idealized version of you must be on it. Not me. Not any other guru or influencer or thought leader. You get on the pedestal.
Starting point is 01:27:09 You become the idealized version. You become the hero in your life's story. If your life is a movie and the movie ends, do you want your name at the end and the credits to be the hero and the star? Or do you want it to be taxi driver number two? We start to trap ourselves within our own mind. And our mind is this big barrier, this big wall. And once we get to pain and suffering, that wall gets bigger and bigger and bigger.
Starting point is 01:27:48 And the mind says it's time to quit. If we're able to find out different ways to get around that, the first thing you have to do is just to calm your mind down. The very first thing you have to do is don't give yourself a way out. You have to trick yourself also and say, you know what, I might quit. I'm not going to quit right now. If your mind knows I'm not going to quit. I'm not going to quit. You're not going to quit.
Starting point is 01:28:11 Let your mind think it has a little control over here. Then when you're able to calm down, you're able to think. And then realize I caught the cookie jar is you have to have something that fuels you in this time. So once you calm down, what's going to get you out of the chair? You got to remember that I've been in times just as hard as this. So I reflected back on my life. Most of us were raised to become ordinary. And I'm not putting down ordinary, but ordinary is just not good enough for me.
Starting point is 01:28:45 Ordinary is you go through your life and you fill out the forms and you pay your taxes and you do what your parents tell you and you're honorable and you're honest and you're a good citizen, then you die. Extraordinary is something very, very different. This is about recognizing within yourself that the there's something very, very extraordinary that you haven't been trained to believe in, to come to a place where you can apply it and put it into your life. You can go way beyond ordinary. You can go way beyond just being average.
Starting point is 01:29:21 All of us are extraordinary. We just have to come to believe it. There's things that you know you're supposed to do as a human being. Things that you know are going to improve your life. Do those things. There's things that you know are going to make you a worse person and make your life worse. Don't do those things. Don't do the things that are making you weaker.
Starting point is 01:29:43 Start doing the things that are going to make you stronger and smarter and faster and healthier and going to make you a better human being. Things that you have in you that you don't even know, but until you get outside of your comfort zone, you will never discover it. You have something special. You have greatness within you. But in order to manifest your greatness, you've got to put yourself in a perpetual. a state of discomfort. Yes, you've got to challenge yourself. You've got to raise a bar
Starting point is 01:30:13 and yourself. You've got to get busy. You've got to work your plan. It's time for me to do need. To pursue my dream, to work my plan, to implement the things that I want for myself and for my family and for my kids. And what is your legacy? What do you want to do for yourself? Most people quit and never finish what they started is because they continually stack L's instead W's. You probably do things to set yourself up to fail in life. You set your alarm clock to wake up at a certain time and then you hit that snooze button. What did you do? You stack the L. If you think that you're meant for big goals and big dream change lots of lives and impact and inspire people, well, you probably need a lot of confidence. If you're always stacking losses, hitting the
Starting point is 01:31:02 snooze button saying you're going to go work out and you don't, saying you're going to eat clean and you don't, saying you're going to read a few pages out of a book and you don't. And all those things seem small and trivial until they add up over days, weeks, months, and years, and you have hardened your subconscious into knowing that you are an imposter, that you are not a promise keeper, and therefore your reputation with yourself erodes. Your reputation with yourself, as it turns out, is your confidence. You will hold sturdy against anything that's thrown at you. Based on that firm, inner conviction that you will not falter, you will not flounder, You will not fail.
Starting point is 01:31:53 My prayer for you is that you win the battle that no one knows about, because usually those are the toughest. On the other end of suffering is a life that many people don't know even exist. It's a beautiful world. We all live in this world where our brains are keeping us in this box. Outside that box, on the other edge of suffering is a world that's endless of opportunity. But we are afraid to go outside that. box because in that box it's comfortable. Outside that box, man, God gives you a shovel and says, man, start digging. That's not fun. But when you dig, you dig your own path to all kinds of stuff
Starting point is 01:32:34 that's unknown. There ain't nothing you can do about what's going to happen to you. You can't stop life from happening. You can do something about it. Life is 10% what happened to you, is 90% what you do about it. You've got to stop tripping every time something happened to you like it's the end of the world. It ain't. Just change your mindset. If you change your attitude, you change your altitude. To succeed, you got to overcome your fears, battle your own greed, conquering your own demons, becoming short second gets everything you believe in, survive through the suffering to figure out the meaning and go hard to the moment you're bringing creaming, it might move sleep, but it's going feel like you dreamer. Like the process of self-improvement. At the end of the day, you got to ask
Starting point is 01:33:25 yourself the question, what fulfills you? Like winning and losing? Cool. Of course it bothers you emotionally, right? But when you put in work, when you prepare, when you give everything you got to something, the process of self-improvement, even if it doesn't go the way you want it to go, you still have something to hang on to knowing that you put some pride into the process of it, right? Just the process of self-improvement. When you do things, you try your best to do it a certain way, right? It's not predicated upon outcome. I'm not doing it, like he said, because I'm trying to attain this. I'm not doing it because I'm trying to get this.
Starting point is 01:33:59 I'm not doing it for this, because the moment you get into the for this to get this, this, like, you're going to be on the emotional roller coaster. So every once in a while, man, I think you've got to pull your head up for a little bit of end. Just ask yourself, man, like, what is it that fulfills me when I'm chasing that drag? You know what I'm saying? fulfillment is a powerful thing. Best advice I can give you on that is treat the past as a school. Let it teach you. The mistakes you've made, the things that went wrong, the things that didn't work, don't use the past as a
Starting point is 01:34:30 burden to carry, and don't use the past as a club to beat yourself to death. Past losses, past spagers, past mistakes. But let the past be a school. Tough school, maybe. You've all been through some tough stuff. So if you feel good about the past, draw from it for experience and let it teach you. Then next is how you feel. about the future. We've got to have the future world is over. The future is called the promise. Those racing thoughts you have, sleepless nights, the anxiety, it's all there for a reason. It's telling you something. It's telling you that you need to take action. All of those emotions are telling you that you're meant for more than this. So don't ignore it.
Starting point is 01:35:14 You know, don't allow the storms that come into your life to make you lose. Make you lose that gratitude to make you lose the appreciation for waking up. Learn how to dance in the rain. Dance through the storm. Embrace the storms, right? Because these things that happen to us, right? Hard times, difficulties, obstacles, they're inevitable. So the best thing you can do is learn how to work with the flow of life rather than against it.
Starting point is 01:35:44 You know, don't try to run away from the pain. Don't try to escape the obstacles that come into your life. No, learn how to embrace them head on. Learn how to go through them because that's where growth happens. Everyone's just looking out for themselves, and that's okay. But it's time for you to start prioritizing yourself too. Trust that things will fall into place and that everything will work out for the best. You've overcome a lot through this journey and stayed hopeful even when things felt impossible.
Starting point is 01:36:16 It's okay to be selfish too. It's your turn now to get what you deserve. You are not really enjoying while you pursue the goal, whatever it is in your life. If you are not really enjoying the doing, because you are so focused on becoming and achieving and arriving at this future point, that the enjoyment of the doing is so greatly diminished or disappears completely, because all you want to do is arrive, but you're not there yet. I can't handle not melt. I can't handle not finding out. I don't want to not find out.
Starting point is 01:37:01 It be not knowing will drive me crazy. They're wondering what if. What's going to be embarrassed of failure? It would be ashamed of losing? I mean, those are already two things that when I just say them. If I hear somebody else say that to me, I'm reaching out going, no, do you feel more? No, it'll be ashamed. Screw it. Find out.
Starting point is 01:37:25 Number one, you have to stop regretting the past. There's nothing you can do about it. Don't forget the past. You can learn from it and get better from it so you don't make the same mistakes, but you've got to stop regretting the past. Number two, I stop worrying about the future. Psychologists have found that 85% of what you worry about on a daily basis will never happen. That's a waste of your energy. That's a waste of your time. And number three, stop looking for you.
Starting point is 01:37:50 for your happiness in other people. Other people cannot make you happy. It is absolutely impossible. When you form a partnership, you make one decision. My decision is to be great. My decision is to be unstoppable. My decision is to win. My decision is to whatever it may be.
Starting point is 01:38:16 Then after you make that decision, you gotta commit to it. How many times have you talked yourself out of the commitment? You've talked yourself out of the commitments. It's not a bad thing to be unique. It's not a bad thing to be different. Not a bad thing to be comfortable with yourself, regardless of what everybody else around you is doing.
Starting point is 01:38:41 You have to learn to do things you hate in order to do the things you love. No payoffs come without sacrifice. Imagine how much further you'd be if you did things even when you didn't feel like doing them. People think there's some complex formula to winning, when the most basic one is, do what you say. said you were going to do before it became inconvenient.
Starting point is 01:39:03 Practice, practice, practice, and do not accept failure. Maybe it shouldn't be repetition. Maybe the answer should be persistence. Because we all repeat something, but very few of us really will persist. Get out there. Do what you want to do not accept no. If you love what you do and it's making you happy, all the hard work and perseverance will pay off. I once had a guidance counselor tell me that I shouldn't play basketball,
Starting point is 01:39:30 that it would never amount to any. that it would never amount to anything for me. His negativity towards me made me stronger. You can't stop people from trying to limit your dreams, but you can stop it from becoming a reality. Your dreams are up to you. The more you value comfort, the less you value progress. Discomfort is a necessity for fulfillment.
Starting point is 01:39:58 We are made to face challenges, to set goals and conquer them, and to build great things. Realize that the resistance in your mind is the only thing that makes things hard. So embrace the difficulty, because that's where you'll find your true purpose. I can't do that.
Starting point is 01:40:24 The human brain cannot comprehend the negative. It is intatible. Yes, it's true. Can I tell the human brain not to do something? Right? And so what happens is we very often reinforce things where we put things in the negatives. It's the same thing for you.
Starting point is 01:40:40 If you focus on the obstacles, all you will see is obstacles. If you focus on the path through the tree, all you will see is path through the tree. I feel like where there's tests, there's growth, right? You can't grow without test, right? So we don't resist them. We don't run from it. We don't retreat.
Starting point is 01:41:02 We fight, we navigate, and we find a way through it in order for us to grow and become the individuals that we feel we're destined to become. Procrastinating is a form of fear, and it is difficult to acknowledge fear. But the truth is that you cannot create anything of value without both self-doubt and self-belief. Without self-doubt, you become complacent. Without self-belief, you cannot succeed. The magic you're looking for in life is in the work you're avoiding. There's something that you know you should be doing, whether it be working on yourself, losing weight, writing something, working on your career.
Starting point is 01:41:53 The magic you're looking for in life is in the work you're avoiding. Everybody wants to be a star. Everybody wants success. You've got to work at it. If you really want to be successful, you have to work at it. True change is actually not the hater change. It's not results change. It's not process change.
Starting point is 01:42:17 It's identity change. And the way to being something or becoming someone is through doing something. So every time you sit down to write, every time you practice that habit, you are being a writer. Every time you play us for, you're being an athlete. Every time you practice painting or music or whatever, you're being an artist. And habits are not only the method through which we achieve external measures of success. They are also the path through which we achieve internal change and actually become someone new. They're the path through which we forge the identity that we have, the deepest beliefs we have about ourselves,
Starting point is 01:42:47 our sense of self. And so if you can change your habits, you can change your life. The keys to success have only been two. Number one, he said, decide exactly what it is you want and write it down and make a plan to achieve it. And number two is determine the price
Starting point is 01:43:04 you're going to have to pay to get it and then resolve to pay that price. New from Nespresso. Blend wellness into your coffee routine with a coffee plus range, infused with functional benefits. Choose the coffee you love with added B vitamins, like coffee plus

BetMGM operates pursuant to an operating agreement with Eye Gaming Ontario. I'm tired, Alfred. I ran a quarter mile and walked home. I walked home and sat on my couch and cried. You need to love pain.
Starting point is 01:44:28 Love it. You need to love it. You need to love it. If not, stay when you are. The biggest mistake a person can do right now, no matter in which situation you are, is to give up. What I've learned is to always keep going. Everybody has a turn back moment. You only lose when you give up. You don't start things and not finish you. I should put the past behind me.
Starting point is 01:45:03 Let me be very clear. I'll never give up. It's much harder. It takes much longer than what people expect. If your definition of success is win or lose, giving everything you've got and growing or learning along the way, then you're setting yourself up for success. I really think the biggest cheat code in life is just going after it
Starting point is 01:45:29 and not being concerned of whether or not you fail at one specific time. fail at one specific task, instead understanding the big picture, what your long-term goal is, and knowing if you keep driving forward and never quit in the end, you will succeed. It's easy to give up. It's the easiest thing in the world to do, I'm done. It's very easy. But what's hard is going, yo, yesterday I got nothing from working as hard as I could. Nothing happened from that.
Starting point is 01:46:01 I'm going to do the same thing again today, but I'm going to try to go harder. I will win, I will win, I will win. When that negative voice pops into your head and tells you that you don't have it in you, that you should give up and go back to your old ways, that you don't have any chance at succeeding, you must tell yourself that you will win as conviction is one of the greatest powers that you possess.
Starting point is 01:46:26 But do you want to see if you're a brave person, what they call the 4 o'clock in the morning courage, wait when things go completely to pieces, when things are the worst, when your very best deal falls apart and your rent is late, and you're tired and you're sick and everybody's mad at you and your car doesn't work, then it's the person that picks themselves up and says nothing is going to stop me. Life is a storm, my young friend. You will bask in the sunlight one moment.
Starting point is 01:46:53 He shattered on the rocks the next. What makes you a man is what you do when that storm comes. There's been times particularly early in my career where you just feel like this is, the end, but what I've come to find out is that, you know, no matter what happened, the storm eventually ends. And what the storm does end, you want to make sure you have your rig. And so I've really learned to put one foot in front of the other, a good batter and different, is eventually that storm passes. You're going to lose sleep. You'll doubt whether it'll work. You'll stress to make ends meet. You won't finish your to-do list. You'll wonder whether you made the right call and have no way
Starting point is 01:47:30 to know for yours. This is what hard feels like. And that's okay. everything worth doing is hard and the more worth doing it is the harder it is the greater the payoff the greater the hardship if it's hard good it means no one else will do it more for you your failure and then you're getting back up the man who never fell has no glory the man who fell and got back up that's where his glory is the man who fell 20 times and got up 21 times, Batman has even greater glory. You have a moment where you could go forward or you can give up. The thing you have to keep in mind before you give up is that if you give up,
Starting point is 01:48:20 the guarantee is it will never happen. When you're afraid of something, you have to master it. That's how you start to overcome it. So what I realized, when I get to that point where I want to quit everybody, they get the point where they want to quit, this is what happened. want to quit. This is what happens. The mind tells you, let's go home. This is not right. This is that. If you cannot answer the questions at that moment, because your mind is going to start giving you all these questions. And if you can't answer them, you're going to quit. It's all about heart and spirit,
Starting point is 01:48:57 and we can all have that. That's not a God-given talent. That's a muscle that builds with walking through the door of failure time and time again and keep getting back up. You know, so I like that. For that reason, a lot of people quit before it actually starts to happen for them. And the problem with that is that when those people buy into that, and then they go out there and they get their face kicked in, they blame themselves. They say, well, I must have been doing it wrong, or I don't have what it takes. And that's just not true.
Starting point is 01:49:28 You're just not understanding the game. The difference between what it actually takes and what you think it takes for most, Most people is almost polar opposites. So you have to reframe your expectations into how hard it's going to be and how long it's going to take and you have to focus on building yourself into someone who can accomplish that mission. You don't quit. There's nothing that comes out of quitting besides knowing that you didn't finish.
Starting point is 01:50:00 We finish everything. You started finishing. If you're going to do it, do it to try and be the best. not be better than other people, be the best for you. I kept saying this to myself on repeat. There is no way, Mel, if you've worked this hard, that you will not be rewarded. You have to believe that this moment is preparing you for something amazing that hasn't happened yet. Keep going.
Starting point is 01:50:27 You have to believe that this moment is preparing you for something amazing that hasn't happened yet. Keep going. I'm clear on what this path is supposed to look like. And these rocks and these dragons are things that I'm going to have to slay along the way to get the princess or get the treasure. I get happier about the harder it is because I know that no one else will follow. The great expression of courage is to persist in the face of adversity, or to persist when things really get rough. To be able to pick yourself up and pick yourself up over and over again.
Starting point is 01:51:00 And believe me, if you decide to go for the goal in your life, you're going to get knocked down over and over and over again. Every single week you're going to have heartaches and disappointments and frustrations and setbacks and obstacles But without those obstacles no success is possible You see the only way we can be successful is if we develop momentum and we cannot develop the momentum Unless we are struggling with obstacles and struggle with adversity goes hand in hand with all great success If there's someone right now feeling Lost there is the chance in this lifetime
Starting point is 01:51:42 to still bring out the very best version of that person. Yeah? There is the possibility. You might not reach the best, best version of yourself in this lifetime. But the better one than you are right now. The main point is to find something that you are not standing still where you are right now. That's the guarantee of quitting. It will never happen nowhere under the sun.
Starting point is 01:52:15 The only way the possibility remains that it can happen is if you never give up no matter what. What's your life gonna look like if you don't do it? What's your life gonna look like if you don't go out and build what the you wanna build? That you have this little vision in your heart and in your mind of what your life should be like. And what are you gonna feel like
Starting point is 01:52:40 if you don't go do that? What are you gonna feel like in a year? year, five years, 10 years, 20 years, when you die, what are you going to be saying? Because I can promise you, bro, that dream ain't going away. That dream was placed in your heart and in your mind, it is your purpose. So how do I do it? How do I turn my dreams into reality? It was the first thing anyone does before they start their day, you wake up? I would say never never give up. And that widens out to whatever lens you want to put it in. I think as long as we are breathing, we have a chance, we are all eventually going to get to the finish line.
Starting point is 01:53:30 I don't know if you just attack every day with persistence and effort and, you know, follow your excitement and enthusiasm and never give up, especially through those hard times because I'm not going to act like it's all roses and candy canes. There will be a bunch of hard times. Just do your best, try to do the best you can, and never give up. Some people will allow to unnerve you, and you wonder what's wrong with me? I'm like crazy. That's why you've got to learn to make a conscious, deliver, determined effort, to stand up inside yourself. Working on yourself, watching that inner dialogue, it will determine the quality of your life.
Starting point is 01:54:12 Realists are not afraid to look at the harsh circumstances of life. They sharpen their eye by paying keen attention to details, to people's intentions, to the dark realities hiding behind any glamorous surface. And you've got to learn how to tune out the critics outside and the critic inside. You are more alone than you imagine. This should not be a source of fear, but a freedom. When you prove to yourself that you can get things on your own, then you experience, a sense of liberation. You are no longer waiting for people to do this or that for you, a frustrating and infuriating experience. You have confidence that you can manage any adverse
Starting point is 01:55:02 situation on your own. Think of it this way. Dependency is a habit that is so easy to acquire. We live in a culture that offers you all kinds of crutches, experts to turn to, drugs to cure any psychological unease, mild pleasures to help pass or kill time, jobs to keep you just above water? It is hard to resist. But once you give in, it is like a prison you enter that you cannot ever leave. You continually look outward for help, and this severely limits your options and maneuverability. When the time comes, as it inevitably does, when you must make an important decision, you have nothing inside of yourself to depend on. But in the end, the most important thing is, what's the purpose of your life? Why are you here? You got to jump. You got to take that gift
Starting point is 01:56:02 that's packed away on your back. You got to jump off that cliff and pull that corn. You can play it safe and deal without the cuts and the tags. And you can stand on that cliff of life for ever safe. But if you don't gel it, I got another promise I can make. In Paris, you will never own. You'll never know. You'll take a beat. You'll take this, you're going to get locked out. You're going to get up, but you've got to work close. This 24th belongs to me. And whatever I'm doing is 24 hours, we'll determine where I'll be tomorrow in the neck day. I think national chief will need to vote so. Like, get off of this. I want to make six figures. I want to drive this car. I want to live in this island. I think what people should be focusing on is I have 24 hours.
Starting point is 01:56:52 Like Oprah only has 24. Bill Gates only has 24. Like Warren Buffett only has 24 hours. And in that 24 hour period, I can either break my life or make my life. Strength isn't always about standing with a crowd. It's about standing alone when you have to. When the world gets quiet and it feels like no one sees your struggle, remember this. Every great warrior has faced battles alone. Use that solitude to grow, to focus, and to become unstoppable. You don't need anyone's approval to rise. Your strength is enough.
Starting point is 01:57:32 So listen to me. There are those of you who said, I want to be a millionaire. I want to be the best of this company, right? But your value system says you believe in sleep more and you believe in grinding. Your value system says you are a consumer and not a producer. And you're spending more money than your money. making, why? Because you're a consort with you, you're reading all the books and you're saying everything the books are safe. But those books are not in alignment with your value. If you're going
Starting point is 01:57:57 to go to the next level, your values are going to have to change. Talent and good intentions are never enough in this world. You need to be fearless and strategic. You're driven by, you need to please others. If you're driven by your fear, if you're driven by your past, maybe it's time to free yourself. And the way to do it is decide. Decide. Decide. Decide. conscious like what you want your life to be about. Aside consciousness, what's the purpose of your life? I will not go gently into that good night. I will rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Starting point is 01:58:35 I will practice random kindness and senseless acts of beauty because minds are like parachutes and the only function went open. And Timothy Leary was right. In order to use your head, you've got to go out of your mind. It all comes down to controlling and mediating our attention. So if you are a wonder junkie, if you believe as Carl Sagan did, that understanding is a kind of ecstasy, if you are hungry for the sublime, learned to control your attention, learned to control your mind, your thoughts. Because you created the linguistic choices. The very
Starting point is 01:59:20 words you use to map the reality, feedback into your reality. You are the painting, you are the paper, you are the canvas, you are the question, you are the answer the question you are looking for. You are also, my friends, the question. You are everything. We are everything. You are sent it. We are consciousness, the most sublime,
Starting point is 01:59:41 rack-throughous thing in the universe. So you better be having a good time and authoring your fate. Turn your life into a living, breathing work of art because anything less will be a tragedy. You told me you have proved lost ever. We're free to do life. Being alone isn't a weakness.
Starting point is 02:00:07 It's a proving ground. It's where you discover what you're truly made. Because my beliefs have always been stronger than anyone's doubt. It's never about your setbacks. It's how you respond. The blows you take are few.
Starting point is 02:00:27 The limitations people put on you are actually inspiration. You want to become a master at overcoming hard moments that is, to me, a sign of a champion. The best in the world are not the best because they win every point. It's because they know they'll lose again and again and have learned how to deal with it.
Starting point is 02:00:48 You accept it, you move on, be relentless, adapt and grow, work harder, work smarter. Remember, work smarter. You need to fucking work harder. You need to discipline your mind better. And it starts off with you have to have pride in yourself. You have to be proud of yourself. We need to help people more than just saying,
Starting point is 02:01:11 it's okay, it's okay that you're not willing to, help yourself out, that's not okay. It's not okay. It's not acceptable. Even though it's your life, if that's acceptable, if that's unacceptable. A lot of people can take one more step, but they choose not to you. I don't know if you can take two steps. You're going to answer that question after you take the first step. But if you wake up in the morning and you don't want to do something, you don't care enough about yourself. Because that is, that is the number one purpose in life, is to better oneself. The man who never fell has no glory. The man who fell that got back up.
Starting point is 02:01:48 That's where his glory is. The man who fell 20 times and got up 21 times, that man has even greater glory. Way more cursed than the guy who was so strong from birth that he never failed. There's no glory in that. If you're struggling in life, whether it's emotionally, physically, mentally, spiritually, financially, whatever it may be, it's very easy to look at your life and just see chaos.
Starting point is 02:02:13 It's very easy to look at your life and just feel the weight holding you down. So wherever you're at, no matter what your situation is, I want you to stop for a minute and understand this. You don't have control over what happens. You don't get to decide the outcome. But what you do have control over is what you do. And what you do influences the outcome. So what you need to do is sit down and decide, okay, what do I have control over? My effort, my attitude, my actions, who I spend my time with, who I don't spend my time with, the food I put in my body, the information I put in my brain.
Starting point is 02:02:43 If all you do for the next three months is hammer down and focus on those things that you can, have control over and forget about the rest, the rest is going to take care of itself. What if it turns out better than you expected? What if you can trust yourself to be able to handle it? And what if all those things you've been dreaming of are actually closer that you might realize? The act of closing your eyes and rehearsing who you're going to be when you open your eyes begins to install neurological hardware in your brain to look like you've already done it. Now the brain, which is typically a record of the past, now becomes a map to the future. And if you keep doing it, the hardware begins to become a software programming.
Starting point is 02:03:28 You start behaving differently. And then if you can teach your body emotionally what the future will feel like, that means then you're not going to wait for your wealth to feel abundant or your success to feel empowered or your new relationship to feel love. In fact, the moment you start feeling abundant, you're generating wealth. The moment you start embracing empowerment, you're stepping towards your success. The moment you're in love with yourself and you're in love with life, you start creating equals in your life. Now that's causing and effect in your life.
Starting point is 02:03:56 Winning is a wonderful outcome. It's just not a great purpose. Your purpose for life should be rooted in who you are. So if your purpose is who you're becoming, it can't be shaken by wins or losses, failure or success. You should want to win. You should want to be the best. These are great aspirations, but they should be outcomes of the person that you're committed to becoming. True desire in the heart, that itch that you have, whatever it is you want to do,
Starting point is 02:04:32 that thing that you want to do to help others and to grow and to make money, that desire, that it's God's proof to you. Sit beforehand already to indicate that it's yours. And anything you want, good, you can have. So claim it. Work hard to get it. When you get it, reach back. Pull someone else up.
Starting point is 02:04:58 Each one, teach one. Don't just aspire to make a living. Aspire to make a difference. That the journey is truly the reward. I may not be who I want to be today, but I know I can be better tomorrow working towards who that person is to me. That's a choice for me.
Starting point is 02:05:26 The wins and the losses, whether the games come and go, yes. Am I dedicated to my craft? Yes. Am I going to make mistakes moving forward? Yes, am I ever going to be perfect? I'm just aware that you have to have laughter. You have to have fun in this. You have to smile.
Starting point is 02:05:40 You cannot put too much pressure on yourself because this one life to live. But understand this. Life is hard. No matter who you are, there are bumps and hits and bruises along the way. And my advice is to prepare yourself. The truth is you don't have to be special. You just have to be what most people aren't.
Starting point is 02:06:09 Consistent, determined, and willing to work for it. No shortcuts. You know how easy it is to stand out right now? Most people aren't even trying. We live in a day and age where the average, individual is socially inept. They are so wrapped up in their own problems that they can't fathom providing value to anybody else. All you basically have to do to stand out amongst the rest is to try to focus on your goals, take consistent action, and show up every single day trying
Starting point is 02:06:37 to add value to people. That alone is far more than most people are doing. So many people are completely asleep at the wheel. So if you just have a little bit of grit, a little bit of work ethic, a little bit of hustle, you can gain such a competitive advantage over them. It is disgusting. Those who can do, those who can't talk about those who can't. Send that out. Those who can do. Those who can't talk about those who can't. This family is on the brink of civil war.
Starting point is 02:07:10 On September 18th, Mobland. The hit original series is back on Paramount Plus. We are the Harrogans. Don't know the net? And Google us. From the underworld of Guy Ritchie. Do you want to step up the ladder? I want combat dead.
Starting point is 02:07:25 Starring Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, and Helen Do I have to do everything myself? You want to want! That new season hit September 18th on Paramount Plus. When WestJet first took flight in 1996, the vibes were a bit different. People thought denim on denim was peak fashion, inline skates were everywhere, and two out of three women rocked, the Rachel. While those things stayed in the 90s, one thing that hasn't is that fuzzy feeling you get when WestJet welcomes you on board. Here's to WestJetting since 96.
Starting point is 02:07:56 Travel back in time with us and actually travel with us at WestJet.com slash 30 years. I just keep losing. I mean, some people just supposed to lose? For balance in the universe? I mean, like, are there just some people on Earth who are supposed to be here just to make it easier for the winners? Like, really? Resistance is a symptom of the way things are.
Starting point is 02:08:36 Not the way things necessarily should be. Actual victory belongs to things that simply do not see failure. that the path pushed you like a broken branch in the river's current. The problem that most of us have is we think that we're all alone. We think they were the only ones going through all this stuff. I thought it, your vision becomes very narrowed. And what happened to me was, all I did was I peeled back. I peeled back and I was able to get on top of a mountaintop in my head.
Starting point is 02:09:13 And when you're high on that mountain, you have a great vantage point. And I was able to look down at the world. And we are, all of us are jacked up. Some of us hide it better than others, but we're all jacked up. And once you realize that, you know, you got to come out of your shell. You got to accept who you are. You got to accept the demons that life gave you, that maybe you gave you. Whatever gave them to you, you got to accept that.
Starting point is 02:09:40 You can't be able to look them in the mirror, look them in the eyes. Okay, I'm going to start picturing these things. But if you think that you're by yourself, the reality of your life, becomes very, very horrible and you're not. We are all jacked up. And once you realize that, man, you don't even look at the crowd anymore. You look at your own race, you do your own race, you do your old thing, and you finally find out who you're supposed to be in this life.
Starting point is 02:10:04 If you are struggling to find fulfillment, please watch this. Not everything is going to make sense all the time. Not everything is going to feel right all the time. There is so much uncertainty that comes to you. comes along with this journey. And we're not even 100% sure where we're going to end up. But that's not the point. If we were certain of these things, if we always performed at our best,
Starting point is 02:10:29 if we never struggled, there would be no journey. You must shift your focus back to your process, because your process is your fulfillment. It is your rock, your constant. Stop trying to find fulfillment. Realize that it's yours if you want it. the person who never needed to be told to do the right thing, to the person who has all the motivation in the world, the person who knows they will be successful.
Starting point is 02:10:58 I'm sorry. I know your future ahead is an amazing one, but I also know your problems never had the luxury of relatability. Almost everyone in this world is an obstacle to themselves, but they sure have company in their struggle, while your struggle is a lonely road. You know it pays off. I don't even have to tell you that, but I promise you. I understand.
Starting point is 02:11:26 You are relatable to those that'll do big things, and it is okay that that comes in small quantity. But as you grow, you lose certain homies, because it's called closing the gap. This is the gap when we start. This is the gap as you grow. Notice how you grow, and they don't. So how do you close the gap?
Starting point is 02:11:53 You got to come back down. When you come back down, you lose. So you got to keep going up. That's why closing the gap, got to be them catching up to you. And if they don't catch up, you got to leave them behind because you get to the point now where you got to start cutting out. You know what I'm saying? And it's like you can't look back when you cut them out.
Starting point is 02:12:11 Because if they meant to be there, they're going to be there. Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequately. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. Your plain small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We were all meant to shine as children do. It's not just in some of us, it's in everyone.
Starting point is 02:12:43 And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same as we are liberated from our own fear. Our presence automatically liberates others. If you're going to try, go all the way. Otherwise, don't even start. If you're going to try, go all the way. This could mean losing girlfriends, wives, relatives, jobs, and maybe your mind. Go all the way. It can mean not eating for three or four days.
Starting point is 02:13:17 It can mean freezing at a parked bench. It can mean jail. It can mean derision, mockery, isolation. Isolation is the gift. All the others are a test of your endurance. how much you really want to do it. And you'll do it. Despite rejection in the worst odds, and it'll be better than anything you can imagine.
Starting point is 02:13:38 If you're going to try, go all the way. There's no other feeling like that. You'll be alone with the gods, and the nights will flame with fire. Do it. Do it. All the way. All the way. You will ride life straight to perfect laughter.
Starting point is 02:13:56 It's the only good fight there is. You can't see the proper light if you have never indulged in the very, very deepest dark times. It's not negative. It's just something that you usually don't want to dive into when something like disappears. But it's part of this life. There is no way to run around. So to embrace the darkness, one and one goes hand in hand. on the other side appreciating the light when it comes.
Starting point is 02:14:51 The life you want isn't out of reach. It's just outside your comfort zone. You can't build the life you want if you just keep clinging to the same old patterns. This journey is on you. Sometimes it's going to feel hard, maybe even pointless, but that's where perseverance kicks in. Push through the resistance one day at a time and watch what happens when you refuse.
Starting point is 02:15:30 to give up on yourself. You have to learn early in life. I didn't learn this until later on. You can't care when anybody thinks about you. There is no excuse but not living up to your fullest of attention. No excuse. And I stopped being a victim. I stopped saying I've got to wait for good things to happen to me and I said I'm a ride.
Starting point is 02:16:07 I'm going to fight. I'm going to work. I'm going to press toward. I'm going to learn. I'm going to do everything in my power, every single day, to become a victor or not a victim. Well, why do meaningful things? Well, first of all, what is meaning? But then why do meaningful things?
Starting point is 02:16:41 And the answer is, well, because life is suffering and malevolence. It's ineradicable at its core. It's like, that will take you out. Make no mistake about it. You need something to, you need to be armed with virtue. in order to, for that not to turn into hell. Really, you really need that. So the system wants you to feel mostly powerless
Starting point is 02:17:10 because they have power and don't. And it also wants you to feel inadequate until you buy more stuff. This that's what marketers sell us, is the idea that until you buy this, you're incomplete. It turns out those two things don't make people happy. What makes us happy is aging. is agency, knowing that we have some sort of control over what's going to happen in the death. And unfortunately, the economic structure that we live in isn't going to be using for most people
Starting point is 02:17:38 to fix, not in truth. But what we can fix right now is how we respond or react to what's happening in front of us. If you're in your 20s and you're listening right now, you're like, yeah, yeah, whatever, I don't need mindset. Just give me that thing that makes me the money or fixes my relationship or puts me in shape. Just give me it. I'm a hustler. I'll do it. But we're wrong. You know, I would think mindset in my 20s was 10% and 90% was the thing. And now I realize it's 90% mindset
Starting point is 02:18:06 and 10% the thing. Most of us think we need more resources if I had support from my family. Somebody lent me the month. Someone would just show me how to do it. For all these things, because we think if we had the resources, we could make it work.
Starting point is 02:18:21 And what I realized, of 51, looking back, having more success than I could have ever imagined possible, I feel blessed it. every single day in my life. It has nothing to do with resources. It has to do with resource rents. Winners win and losers lose. I can't explain it any better than that.
Starting point is 02:18:38 I don't know how it happens, but winners win. And if you create a culture of losing, if you keep being a victim, if you keep letting losing happen to you, if you keep letting people do you and treat you any kind of way, it's gonna become a culture. Nobility of perks, that's it. You have that, then you can, then you have something to set against the suffering and the malevolence.
Starting point is 02:19:06 It's an instinct meaning. It's the instinct of life. My life is meaningless. The spirit has gone out of you. It's like, well, but, you know, the modern people, it's part of this process of criticism. We criticize the idea of meaning so much that we don't really believe in it anymore. It's like, well, that's fine. You can not believe it, but try living without it.
Starting point is 02:19:24 See how far you get with that. What if today was the... the last day of your life. What's undue? Who would you need to speak to? What gifts still remain in your heart? And I truly hope that each of us live a long life, but to me the world's success of life is not the duration, but it's how you live while you're living it. What if today was the last day of your one? How would you need to live your life, rearrange your life, so that if death came, you could throw your arms white open and say, yes, I'm ready. If you are happy where you are, And congratulations.
Starting point is 02:20:16 It's so good to have it here. But if you're someone who wants to move away from something, it's not perfect. Or you want to move towards something better. Know that your beliefs, your best beliefs, your best thinking got you to this point. And the only thing that takes you to the next point, the next level of your business, starting a business, scaling the business, intimate relationship, passion, in shape is new beliefs. It's like the beliefs that got you out of Egypt are not the beliefs that will take me to the promise land. We could dig deep into emotional labor, not the physical labor of digging the train, but the emotional labor of sitting where we feel like running, of whispering when we feel like yelling. We could dig deep and say, in this moment, I'm going to choose to be the best version of myself and seek possibility.
Starting point is 02:21:07 And it turns out that that's a life, and you can build an entire life merely doing that. And then what happens, more often than not, does the world respond by inviting you to play on the bigger stage? You get ready to go back into your lives. You live every single day in such a way so that every single moment of your life, you can say yes, yes, it's a good day to die. I believe it's then in that moment.
Starting point is 02:21:43 You will be fully alive. We want people to make guarantees to us, but we're not willing to make guarantees to ourselves. Somebody gave you a guarantee $30, $30 day guarantee. In 30 days, if you don't make what they told you who's going to make, in 30 days you've got an attitude, you want your money back. But you've never demanded your money back to themselves. It's like, okay, you need a reason to get out of bed on a terrible day.
Starting point is 02:22:10 Okay, what's that reason going to be? Well, let's think it through. You know people who can get out of bed on a terrible day. Do you admire them? Yes. What are those people like? Are they taking responsibility for themselves? Definitely.
Starting point is 02:22:24 Do they have excess capacity? So they're taking responsibility for other people? Yeah. Are they doing difficult things? Yes, obviously. The more you respect them, the more you also see that they're doing difficult things and doing them well. So what does that mean? Do some difficult things.
Starting point is 02:22:41 So this is not about hustling. I'm not a fan of hustle. I'm a fan of a generous hustle. And the generous hustle says, how can I do things in the world to leave a better trail and to help other people? Not how do I do things
Starting point is 02:22:55 so I get my first year. Because the world doesn't respond well to hustlers. They don't like being hustled. But the world responds really well to people can take responsibility and give away credit. So for those of you that don't know what to do
Starting point is 02:23:11 and how it's going to happen and where the resources are going to come from, you just say yes and watch what. Your job is not to go out there and make happen, go out there and manifest it. Everything is already manifest. Everything is already available. Your job is to simply say yes and get yourself the hell out of the way.
Starting point is 02:23:37 You've never looked at yourself in the mirror and said, you let you die. Until you get to that point, you let you die. That's the problem with some of you. You always want to blame other people. You want to hold other people to the fire, but you're not holding yourself to the fire.
