Now, they finally have a Kill Team box, and we are diving into the lore of the Exodites! Long before the Fall, these puritanical Eldar looked at the absolute degeneracy of their society, packed their bags, and decided to hard-reset their civilization on primordial Maiden Worlds. Bricky and DK discuss the history of these isolationist cousins of the Craftworlders, their deep connection to the World Spirits, and the absolute majesty of physically dominating a massive Carnosaur just to bring it to a gunfight. BR people are here, shy.
Kill them.
You can just hear
the
Briggies like, guys, I got to go.
Sorry, the episode got cut short.
I am moving to Mexico
for about the next 10 years.
Welcome, everyone, to another episode
of the Adeptus Ridiculous podcast.
My name is D.K. Diamantis
and don't have a great.
great joke for today. Really don't. It's, it's early and we're just going. Hey, Bricky, introduce
yourself and tell them stuff. Hey, um, it's, I'm Bricky. Uh, what stuff do I have to tell? Um,
I, you know, uh, it's, it's another day. Things are happening. Um, they show off new
orc minis. Oh, did they? Yeah. Uh, showed off some new orc minis. It's a new knob and some, uh,
And some new knobs, which have been forever ago.
Oh.
And they look incredible.
You got that Burnaboy, dude.
That Burnaboy looks sick.
I do like how you got the grots with them.
You got some ammo grots with them, you know.
They look really good.
You got the new war bikers, which look really good.
Okay.
I like that last yellow helmeted.
one with the two power claws.
I,
he looks phenomenal.
War biker,
ooh.
So humorous little situation here,
orcs are getting the new codex.
They're getting this giant range refresh, right?
They got the Armageddon stuff.
Gaz is the big deal.
Orcs right now are like firmly stomping the meta
in terms of how good as an army they are.
Like they are extensively crushing.
people.
Wait a second.
Are you telling me that the army that's getting a range refresh and getting all these new cool minis that you can buy now is the meta and is the best thing to play?
And they're almost incentivizing you to buy the new stuff that's coming out?
Ah, ah, ah.
But then why is space Marines not doing as well?
Oh, okay, fine.
I have to pull people away from the edge every time this happens.
because they have this massive confirmation bias
where it's only ever when things are new and good they think about
and it's never when things are new and bad.
The real answer is much more mundane.
It's a fucking dartboard.
GW just does this shit.
As someone that doesn't play the tabletop,
that's how it sounded to me.
So, you know what?
But yeah, I guess that's also true.
Sometimes just throw it at the fucking wall.
You know, there was one other army.
That was somewhat better than orcs before they just recently got nerfed.
And that's Thousand Sons, an Army that hasn't seen a goddamn, a goddamn miniature in a decade besides the robots.
My poor boys, the Thousand Sons got nerfed.
Oh, no.
No, they were too good.
It's fair.
Oh, they were too good.
They were way too good.
They were way too good.
Now, they should be too good.
Fuck everybody else.
Fair enough.
Very orc-cic.
Let's go madness.
So are we, you think we're ready to properly start the episode after that?
Yeah, I think so.
So if you're a big fan of crumpin and you're a big fan of some of the new orc stuff unrelated,
just go subscribe to the Patreon anyway.
Go to Patreon.com slash Adeptives Ridiculous.
Check it out.
Get access to the Discord.
Get bloopers, get posters.
Get all that good, good goodness.
You can also see a really awesome little thing about where Possum talks about how he does his research,
which is very, very interesting and very insightful.
Also, in addition to that, we have the merch over at Orchidate.
Check it out.
There are cards leaves.
There are awesome dites.
There are awesome hoodies and shirts of all kinds of manner of things in all different
kinds of ways.
Very neat.
Desmats as well.
Cool stuff.
Check it out.
And last but not least,
Shai wants to share something with y'all.
Shai's company is making another video game.
It is a,
I think you'd probably call it like a boomer shooter.
I guess would be the phrase,
but like it apes that kind of era.
Yeah.
It is, it is got a bit of a occult, Eldrick, very, I don't know, not Sarapunk, but I'd say very, like, neon style colored.
So, so a bit of an Eldrick neon style boomer shooter.
She got going on right now.
It is called Eldrick Break.
And it is currently a TBD, but it is wish listable on Steam.
So you are, if you would like, there is a link in the description of the, of the video here.
And if you want to go ahead and give it a wish list.
I have done so as well because it supports the devs quite a bit.
And it is a big departure from her prior stuff being visual novels and the like.
So it is a jump and that's exciting.
Super exciting.
It looks really, really good.
So I too am wish listing it.
Also, it has a really sick talking gun that's got teeth.
And talking gun is better than the other talking gun game.
Very important.
Oh, yeah, that one.
Yeah, so true.
Wow, you just took a hold of the, of the Patreon and the merch and the shill.
Look at you.
You're all grown up.
I have my moments.
Also, very cool if people are curious.
Shai got Tamara Fritz, aka Sister Argenta as the voice, that's a wolf, as the voice actress,
voicing your demon GF
and Lucas,
aka Neff Anyo from Warframe
voicing your talking gun.
The man, the man, let's go.
The prophet of profit.
There are benefits to
shitting over video games.
You meet a lot of people.
Yeah, you absolutely do.
We've known Lucas and Tamara for a while,
and they are phenomenal at everything they do.
So hell yeah.
Big names, baby
How'd you know tomorrow?
Was she also on Warfram?
Yeah, she is
Oh, shoot, I'm drawing a blank on who the main
lady is in Fortuna.
Oh, shy, what's her name?
Oh, she's the main, like,
one of the comms and everything like that.
Yeah, she's one of the main ones on the comms,
yeah, yeah.
I forget Fortuno so long ago.
I think she's a couple people in Warfram.
Yeah, you would have come.
That's the one shy.
Good pull, good pull.
That is Utico's voice actor.
Gotcha, gotcha.
Okay.
Sick.
Hell.
But anyway, all of that aside,
it is time to talk about dinosaurs.
It's going to be exoditing.
That's not bad.
It sounded better in my head.
It does.
I think it's about like the inflection of the tone.
Yeah.
But regardless, today is the eggs a diet episode or the also known as the other Eldar are sour losers.
Are they really?
Because, I mean, they got out in time, didn't they?
Well, they are kind of being sore losers a little bit.
No pancreas today.
Very unfortunate.
This is a decay and bricky episode.
So.
They're rarely now.
I know.
But it's just us.
That's crazy.
I don't know.
I mean, fairness.
You know what?
I will say.
the recent pancreas episode was an all-timer.
You can't make up the man ignoring a tornado warning.
Talk about elves.
Guys, it's not that bad.
The wind is only pushing on the window a little bit.
Only a small amount of rain.
It's fine.
Tornado warnings be damned.
Yeah, that's an all-timer for sure.
Fucking...
Anyway, anyway, all that aside.
The other Eldar, Saar, losers, etc., episode...
I don't know why
Pawsom did this.
I don't know why.
You know why he did it.
Why is he putting this in the episode?
Autism as an exudite.
I fucking love dinosaurs.
Autism as a bitch-ass Assyriani.
I have no social skills
and I love dinosaurs but it's not cute anymore.
It's just kind of weird.
That is the, listen,
I don't know that I've ever seen
a more bricky-themed
meme in my life.
Like that's why I put it in there because
they're like, oh, this is so bricky-coded,
right? That's not true, D.K.
I can't laugh at this. There's no among us.
Oh, you're right. Nothing's
twerking its fat ass at you. You can't laugh at it. So true.
Dude, what do you mean? You're right.
It's like I don't even know you.
Early.
Anyway, Exudites
had four decades been a common
reoccurring joke in the fandom of 40K
because the idea of
elves writing dinosaurs in our space is on paper, a concept that would just literally print money.
But they've been ignored for ages.
And in more recent years, attention has been put back on them, thanks to their inclusion
at the beginning of the Infinite and Divine and other cameo appearances, such as the very
well-done novel Void scarred by Mike Brooks.
I haven't read that one, but Possum seems to like it quite a bit.
And then seemingly out of nowhere, a kiltim box with its faction hit the internet so
hard during that big summer preview
that even the most
isolated places on earth could hear
pancreas, no work climax.
Some random
bear in Finland
is going, what the fuck?
Now that the box
is officially released,
and even though it didn't add too much
to the ancient lore of the elder exodites,
it did cement some of that lore into
permanent canon. So we
are going to go over the exonites as we can,
covering lore all the way back from second
edition into the story of the world of SIF that came with the brand new release.
Also, that's Siff like Sisyphus as opposed to Siff like the dog of Dark Souls.
Yeah.
Ow.
Of course you would say Siff is from Dark Souls.
Well, you know, it's a common one.
Siff from Dark Souls.
That's true.
I mean, I think Sif is a lot old than Dark Souls in mythology.
But yeah, I think most, I guess most people would know Sip from Dark Souls, right?
Okay.
Okay.
Yes.
but I'm referring to SIF because we're talking about giant dinosaurs
and my mind goes to the dog with the sword first before it goes to mythology.
And Siff from Dark Souls is just sick as hell.
So I can't completely follow you on that.
So the good old Exodus, we all know a thousand times at this point,
but for those who don't, the Eldar reached the peak of their society,
decided to dabble in all the excess to the point where some Eldar saw the writing on the wall
and they said, hmm.
and decided to leave on their craft worlds,
an attempt to preserve their society,
which, of course, it didn't.
They did preserve their society in their craft worlds.
But the craft world Eldar were far from the first ones in their society,
see the writing on the wall.
Some members of the society saw it way in advance,
like pre-construction of Kamaraa.
And the book Xenobology refers to the Eldar as being veterans of Isha's war,
which implies that it could be even earlier.
But these individuals saw the,
early formation of what would become the pleasure cults and they saw the issues right
quick and this combined potentially with visions this is like old lore but it was a potentially
an ominous premonition courtesy of the salon back when uh but that's like that's like really old
lore so you know that's old old world lore we got the slon yeah so that's like that's like kind
of a maybe maybe not type thing yeah a result of them becoming basically puritans they would
become super hypercritical of the actions of their brothers and sisters and will publicly
chastise and challenge them and they were viewed by others as very narrow-minded at best
and fanatical doomsayers at worse i mean you know i i don't know if i would really listen to the guy
to like the the the omish dude screaming at me that where society is becoming a debauchrous hellhole
and if we don't go back god is going to kill us all yeah especially if you're like especially
you have the Eldar who have just like been around forever.
You've got everything.
You've got the highest of high technology.
And it's like, why are we going to, why are we going to listen to the dude holding the
Armageddon is upon us?
The end is nice sign.
Like, come on.
We're untouchable.
Look at what we got.
Yeah, especially when you like live forever and stuff, give or take.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I get it.
Exitites when they see me behead my friend for sexual reasons.
Quit having fun.
They haven't gotten.
that bad yet, right?
When the exodus start, like, really preaching,
it'd be gotten that bad, have they?
Well, you know, well, anyway.
So, obviously, the thought of even slightly reverting backwards
when they were at their pinnacle was scoffed at.
And though they were not super numerous,
the puritanical, so to speak, Eldar,
considered their society a lost cause,
and would exile themselves, earning the name, of course, exonites.
Exodite, yep, yep, yep, it's baked into the name.
Now, their leaders were pretty valiant as their first ships fled,
and as said before, their numbers by comparison weren't as big as the craft worlds,
but the exesites would slowly trickle out from Eldar Society,
from this point pre-Kamara, all the way to the very last second.
Ultimately, despite taking all the stuff they needed to get a foothold elsewhere,
they would not be like the craft worlders that would come much later.
Those Eldar wished to preserve society,
while the exesites wanted to start that shit from scratch.
Yeah, they wanted to year zero,
because everything they knew up until then was bad.
So when the fall would eventually occur,
many would be so far away that they wouldn't be physically impacted by it,
the same way those close with the epicenter would.
And distance, combined with a very important thing
on most of those worlds,
the eggsites would settle on,
would help them preserve.
Now, of course, not all of them would make it.
There were stragglers that would leave last second,
and they would be consumed like the rest of them.
But the biggest difference here is that due to some being
so detached from other society for so long
that they'd sense the mass death of their kin
and assume that they were now the last ones in their entire galaxy.
It's a little cool.
A little short one.
Oh, yeah.
What your mind senses is,
She the ancients rot.
It is she who thirst.
We escaped her birth, but her hunger is limitless.
Estelle Estere Stone Singer.
What a name.
I mean,
Makes sense, you know?
Like, yeah, yeah.
Especially, they definitely thought like, oh, you know, if you run out of like a big
city and then the city gets nuked behind you, you're like, well, that's it.
That were, it's just us.
It's just us.
Yep.
Also, there were exodus that left last second and were still in, that were still there when Slenesh was born.
Like, where they just like, oh, we can, we can still help.
We should stay.
We should stay.
We can't just leave our brothers to like, you know, we can't just abandon our home.
I mean, don't forget, we're talking in like thousands of years timelines here.
So, like, yeah, I mean, eventually some people definitely were like, you know what?
Shit, man.
Those freaks were right.
let's get the hell out of here.
True, true.
Also, God, that Stone Singer Mini, nice.
Holy.
Oh, yeah, right.
I mean, dude, it's like monk-ish style elves on dinosaurs.
Like, even as an elf hater myself, they look sick as shit.
Oh, yeah, that is, that's, it's peak and not the climbing game.
I do like peak, though.
Yeah, it's pretty good.
It's fun.
So, next up, we have.
something called the Garden of the Galaxy.
So leaving is one thing, right?
But where the hell are they going to go?
But they actually did have a destination in mind.
They, much like you, D.K., decided to seek out maiden worlds.
But unlike you, D.K., they would be successful.
What the fuck, possum?
What the hell?
I'm just out here waking up, enjoying the day.
We're having fun here on Adeptus Ridiculous.
And what are these strays I'm catching?
You're catching the same strays that the Eldar did.
So they had these places called Maiden Worlds or Lalathan, because all Eldar words are stupid.
And they were the legacy of the Eldar God Vaul.
Now, who is the Eldar God Vol?
D.K.?
I don't remember.
Damn it.
He's the smithing one, the maker, the craftsman one.
Yeah, I wasn't going to get that.
I was not even...
Nope.
Nope.
Well, oh, well, we did our best.
Good enough.
Got to get you a couple...
Keep me on the toes.
Now, the master Smith, VAL, was Austrian's brother, and his great gift to the Eldar was their love for beauty and all things inventive and creative.
But in American, these ships were called Dominion Genesis ships.
because the starships they had were called
Torella dandramenta.
And that's stupid.
That is kind of a mouthful.
I think the Dominion Genesis ships.
The ships were viewed to be tools given to them by Vol
the maker himself and the elder would use them to make a garden of the galaxy.
So the Dominion Genesis ships would seed these worlds in the far fringes of the galaxy.
And by seeding, we mean that they essentially did a hard,
reset of them genesis-wise.
I'll talk about that a bit more later, but all that matters for now is they found these worlds
in the far fringe of the galaxy and they settled those worlds.
And the ships that they had left on had all the things they need to start to society all over again.
So the successful ones were able to establish something new, but obviously many failed.
At the time, these worlds were seated to be truly idealic and nice, but you remember
where we are here, right?
Well, I mean, we're in 40K.
nothing can ever be ideal, nice, and perfect.
It has to go wrong.
Demons have to invade,
and you have to have a multitude of your population die, of course.
Well, naturally.
I mean, of course.
Duh.
Now, obviously, that's, you know, difficult times.
So some of the worlds were already occupied by the time they showed up by orcs.
Some would deal with infighting that would result in their collapse.
But enough would last so they can.
get a foot hold and establish their new form of order.
And before we talk about that order,
we should talk a bit more about these maiden worlds,
because knowing what they're all about
will make the clans and nobility and all that
much more, it make more sense.
Sure.
So, as we said a moment ago,
these worlds were hit with the good old horror reset button
in the form of a Genesis device,
and they're terraforming them into something much more primordial.
Some of the maiden worlds were designed to have a certain feel to them
or a certain abundance of one biome or another,
and some would be seated with the building blocks of life itself.
This, combined with whatever the particular group of exesites brought,
would form a unique world that was essentially still actively forming.
Regardless of the specific ones, there's a lot of similarities broadly for all of them.
So, you know, they land, Genesis device, start terraforming that shit into what they needed to be.
Wow, so they hit them with the Rathcon.
They hit him with the literal Genesis project to terraform the world,
And, huh, all right.
All right.
I hate the boss, maybe that, but it's kind of hard not to.
No, I mean, dude, honestly, the more I research Mass Effect, the more I was like, wow, Mass Effect One is just TNG.
Like, Mass Effect One is so clearly TNG in every single factor.
Yeah, it kind of is.
Like, extensively.
Then they get more actiony as they go.
But the first one is like, it's just Star Trek.
Now, I'm kind of like, damn, you know, that, I've been doing a lot more Star Trek stuff lately.
And I'm like, you're so, you're so right, King.
Mm-hmm.
You've been doing more Star Trek stuff, huh?
I've been watching a bit more TNG and stuff to kind of like.
Okay.
Let's go.
Just learn a bit more, you know, figure it out.
Man, that first season of TNG is not good.
Oh, God, no.
It's really bad.
It's really not good.
But they do definitely get better.
Oh, for sure.
The, like, season, I feel like season two and on is, is pretty good.
I feel like season three is when it starts to get, like, peak, peak with a little, a few high notes in season two.
But yeah, yeah, that's season one.
You can skip that.
I feel a lot of, I feel like a lot of the, always sunny Philadelphia seasons are the same kind of thing.
Oh, yeah.
Okay.
Oh, yeah.
For when I eventually probably start watching it.
Oh, good, great show.
Definitely watch it.
But, like, season one is like, okay.
Season two is pretty good, and then three onwards gets really good until like season 10.
Nice.
Anyway, all that aside.
So, since the planets are primordial, they're extremely lush with a whole bunch of different biomes on them,
ranging from grassy plains and dense jungles to coral reefs and polar caps,
and also teeming with primordial life.
On the whole, they all look gorgeous and perfect, but looks can be a bit deceiving.
In the newest exudite book for Kill Team, we get a bunch of details about the
Maiden World of SIF, and there's a bit that perfectly sums up the opposite side of the
Paradise World coin. Here is your quote. Oh, that's a chunker. There are carnivorous plants,
some seductively subtle, others shockingly swift, and disease kept alive much as the rest of the
world's life forms. There are rockfalls, flash floods, and unanticipated eruptions of caustic spumes
are lava. Occasional
parching drowls are caused by artificially
ingrained fluctuations in
the magnetosphere, allowing
blasts of solar radiation to reach
the surface. Above all, however,
are the threats from countless
varieties of dangerous creatures
the world harbors.
Yeesh. The dangerous
creatures of these worlds tend to be,
well, you know, you guessed
a D.K., dinosaurs
clearly,
or as the Auxaites call them,
dragons.
Now the term dragon applies to what I do with my nuts over your...
I was, man, it sucks as I didn't think you were going to do it.
I was like, oh, maybe he's so busy reading the script that once he's done talking about this,
I can hit him with a dragon these nuts.
And you beat me to it.
I should have known better.
You should have known better.
Now, so these dragons, though, of course, they're anything reptilian, no matter how big or small.
and the dragons were part of the programming of these worlds
when they were first designed and seated.
Some of them are permitted to roam freely in the wilds of the maiden world,
and this combined with all of the really difficult things, as mentioned above,
might make you think this sucks for someone to deal with.
But the exite view this hostile and beautiful terrain as something to embrace.
They strive to be disciplined and self-sufficient,
so the hostilities of the world are tests to prove themselves
and to stride in the face of the world.
of she who thirsts.
The day-to-day hunter-gatherer lifestyle, the endurance tests, all of this is a great way to suppress
the urges that caused the Eldar to fall.
And it works with them really well.
So obviously, like, craft world elders.
So, you know, of the Eldars, you've got the Hallequins, which are off doing their, they're doing
their shit.
Whatever shit they do.
Right.
You have the Dukari who use torture and suffering as a way to keep themselves moving.
The Eldar themselves, or the Ostriani or whatever, the Craft World Eldar, they do the Bushido monk-style form to keep them from their urges.
And the Exudites are just, they're on the coal mine.
They're like, oh.
They're dinosaur taming.
You know, you move 16 tons.
What do you get?
You know, they older and deeper in debt.
Love that song.
God.
Great song.
Great song.
Man, shit never changes, do it.
Nope.
It sure don't.
That's going to be timeless.
Hell, you.
Absolutely.
Now, get back to work, Orchidate staff.
Oh, no.
Oh, no.
But no.
Like, you know, they're like, Hunter Gatherer.
Take the, the difficulties of living that way.
That's what keeps you pure.
It's what keeps your brain set and solid.
And, you know, you know that they honestly ain't wrong.
You can, you can really.
be like a forward thinker if you just keep yourself your hands busy helps a lot yeah hell yeah sounds
like uh sounds like what the blue aliens do in avatar brought that back around let's go whatever man
got an avatar reference in here win hate that movie i don't actually i think it's perfectly
perfectly okay but i don't it's a visual spectacle i get it yeah um now when you're
settling these maiden worlds initially the ships that were used to transport the exites were then disassembled
and reassembled onto the surface of the city.
Very much something more rustic in design
with a web of streets and rivers connected by plazas and other central hubs,
like domes or towers.
And the roads and pads will be decorated
with local plants and statues carved from the bones of the dragons.
Now, the towers, as you can probably imagine,
are wraithbone towers that are bones sung.
Towers tend to indicate who is in charge of the general area
and other buildings tend to pop up around it of necessity
Also, this is random.
Shy, we got to do a you were wrong about the Eldar episode.
Because remember when everyone was all up in arms about like Raith bone singing and like what Raithbone is made of?
Weren't they like all wrong?
Wasn't it all just like a massive overreaction?
Oh, I do vaguely remember that.
I want to, I want to get possum on this.
I really badly want to get possum on this particular thing.
because I feel like,
about like,
Raithbone and shit.
I don't remember if we...
They do.
I don't remember if we did an episode
on this or not
way back way.
We might have,
but I want to get that back
because I'm pretty sure
that was shenanes.
Really familiar though.
Something about like,
like,
Raithbone isn't,
isn't like warp stuff
or something.
Yeah.
Something like that,
but I think it was out of context or something.
I remember it being like
a weird thing.
And so I do want to
I do want to get Possum on that for a future
episode because I think it was
something shenanigans and it would be nice to clear
the plate. Yeah, Possum
is going to be on a maidenless world because he's going to be
too busy writing us damn scripts to get one.
That's not bad.
Awesome. That's not bad. I like that one. Bring it back
to the maidenless. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
He took a shot at me. I had to at least try. I might have been an
off-kilter shot, but fucking possum.
You know that guy in Pulp Fiction who runs out
with the six shooter and he's like, die, you bastards, and he misses all of them.
Yep, after having a bite of his delicious burger.
I'm one of them a Hawaiian burger joints.
This is a tasty beverage.
Anyway, the Wraith Bone Towers are bones sung, and the towers in the Kha who's in charge of the area.
And these other buildings form the bulk of these cities, and they tend to be in domes.
the more populated the city, the more elaborate they tend to be.
Now, smaller ones tend to be more bone and structure, while the larger ones tend to be more marble or quarried stone.
And at the heart of them are the city plazas where you can find anything, you know,
handcrafted goods, delicacies, et cetera, very reliant on the seasonal nature of the planet for their crops and agriculture.
And certain parts of the cities get more usage and action depending on what the season is.
So going to tech reliance, technology is.
is a really weird thing for the exites because despite their more Puritan tribal existence,
there is still tech. It's just very restrictive. The most advanced technology that exites have tended
to keep under lock and key is by the nobility of the maiden world. And some of this tech was
converted to farming equipment, kind of like the old knights. But some are more powerful devices
and weaponry in case of some really bad conflicts. Old materials from before the fall,
like psychoplastics or artifacts or expensive rare items can go a long way when it's,
comes to trading or selling, and to make up for the lack of materials, dinosaur bones tend
to be a major supplement that is used in the first place.
Now, one piece of technology that is not restrictive and is essential to the main worlds are
the webway gates.
Access to the webway is essential for exquisite life as connecting different exiled worlds to one
another allows for access to different biomes on different planets.
Yeah, that's fair.
That would be really, really important to keep the webways.
Also, did you say cycle plastics?
What a cool name for a material.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Macro-psychoplastics in the balls.
Oh, man, I was literally about to say the psychoplastics are stored in the balls.
Why?
I'm just not quick enough today.
Go on.
Tell me about me.
As you say, Shai said it, I just stole it from her.
You know, I did the mail thing where I just repeated her joke about her.
Oh, I didn't see that Shai wrote it in the chat.
All right.
So we all went to the same place.
That's cool.
That's cool.
Yeah, yeah, sorry.
the psychoplastic is forming the glass ceiling.
Anyway.
Anyway, so yeah, they're very useful for a lot of things,
especially like the obvious, like raids and invasions, etc.
But in the worst case scenario, it allows them to have a chance to escape and resettle.
Access to the Webway is essential for them to communicate with their craft rule cousins as well,
which we're talking about later.
But yeah, the Webway gates on Exite World
Kind of like a combination of stonehenge and a stargates
Big decorated stones from its, you know, gate-like structure,
Root and puzzles, et cetera.
Yeah.
And obviously, extremely well guarded, because, duh.
Oh, yeah, you got to have the heaviest guards there.
You can't let a Webway portal fall.
Now, the other thing here is the World Spirit.
The most important thing on any Maiden World is the World's
sometimes called the world serpent.
20 bucks if you can guess where this is being pulled from.
I would have just no idea.
Mm-hmm.
Now, this is more or less an exonite version of an infinity circuit.
What's an infinity circuit, D.K?
Isn't that the thing where they put the soul stones to power stuff, question mark?
Yippee!
Let's go!
Not just a hat rag, baby.
Hell yeah.
Very nice.
No, he's going to make an avatar reference again.
I was, how dare you, shy?
I'm way more multifaceted than just avatar references.
Yeah, I also make penis jokes.
So the world spirit is, yes, like that.
The minds and memories of the exotites that die are preserved in the world spirit,
and the presence of the world spirit not only sustains the exodus,
but also protects them from she who thirsts.
The presence of the world spirit spreads through the entirety of the maiden world and places of power,
generally places with a lot of quartz and other fancy crystals, tend to be conduits for it.
These places of power are highly decorated and protected, and the spirits of the dead can be spoken to in these places.
Now, of all the powerful hubs for the world spirit, the planet's world shrine in the royal circle is the most prominent.
It is tied directly to the royal tribe and king of a maiden world.
More on this in a moment.
And it is overseen by a world singer, which is a solitary shaper of the warp that is responsible for the passing of Eldar spirits into the world spirit while serving as its guard.
Now, the heart of the world spirit is, you should not be surprised by this.
Raith bone intertwined with lots of dragon bones.
Sick.
Yeah.
And this heart grows into the earth.
itself, forming a spiritual circulatory system that spreads like roots of a tree.
As this is a connection to the dead, folks can commune with the world spirit, generally through its
farcears.
Now, the world spirit tends to be as wondrous as the world it exists on and is capable of
great benefits and bounties to those who nurture it.
But as it is primordial, the shifting of the world and other things that seem cataclysmic
are also a part of its day-to-day.
So a world spirit can manifest things like earthquakes, hurricanes, other blights, and so on.
And all of these things are aspects of the world spirit.
But the most dangerous is the dragon aspect.
It is manifested as a force that is capable of sweeping the world clean and starting anew.
And when we get to the exites and how they deal with other factions, we'll go over what kind of cataclysms can occur if a world spirit is hurt or driven mad.
Oh. So they can, they literally can just year zero their own civilization because things have gotten so bad.
Just fuck it. We'll just let the dragons erase you.
Not necessarily the dragons, but like the engine itself in a way.
Oh, got you, got you, got you. Okay.
So, um, the world spirit is, of course, most importantly protected over anything else because if it is destroyed, the else.
Eldar souls will then leak, and then they go to Slanesh, and that really sucks.
Yeah, every Eldar knows. Don't want that.
All right. It's dinosaur time.
Let's go. Let's talk about some dinosaurs.
Hell yeah.
So, as we mentioned, dragons, some dragons, are allowed to roam free on these worlds,
but many more are a direct part of the day-to-day life of an exodite.
Of course, one would look at something neat like a dino writer and be like,
Oh, man, they're such good friends.
That's great.
Love to see it.
Well, now we can take a little bit of a look in the section of the new book
that has the headline known as Draconic Subjugation.
Oh, boy.
Yeah.
You have a quote for Draconic Subjugation.
Lovely.
From the book.
Hit me with it.
The dragons they use are dominated, with the exodus in a position of command rather than sharing a relationship of equals.
Subjugation takes many forms, including physical domination,
telepathic coercion, and outmaneuvering beasts on the hunt.
All are dangerous as well as physically and mentally draining,
risking the deaths of everyone involved.
When successful, however, the bonding sees the ferocity and instincts of the dragon
under the supremacy of the exodites.
Oh, boy.
Oh, boy.
jeepers
I'm just saying like
you know
you know like
you know like it
you know
you know
nothing like a little physical
domination and telepathic coercion
sometimes you gotta
do what you got to do to get your dragon
how to punch your dragon
so true
so you know
they're best friends
and they come in a few different flavors
So for best, best friends.
So, for example, her dragons are the most common dragons you'll find.
They're used as animals on the farm.
They are used to fields, take care of the soil, move cargo, transport Eldar more casually,
and are most importantly, they're slaughtered as livestock.
Their meat is exceptionally rich in nutrients and protein, and their bones are used as essential materials.
Their skin can be turned to really resilient leather, their scales as armor,
and all the above is great for trade.
These dragons can range from your run-of-the-mill
Ankylosaurus or a Stegosaurus type,
but another type of her dragon
are the long-necked ones,
almost like a brociosaur, a brociosaur.
Brachiosaur?
A brachiosaur.
But it's not really clear what they do
when there isn't a conflict going on.
But, you know, they're big-ass dragons.
And again, a reminder to the readers,
dragons are not dragons with wings and fire-breathing.
they are just dinosaurs in general.
Mm-hmm.
And then, you know, for the most part, they're so big that their carcasses can, you know,
alter the landscapes, if there's a lot of them.
And in times of conflict or war, the bigger herd dragons can be decked out with armor and it can
be used to move war machines or crew transports, stuff like that.
You can imagine, like, hey, Stegosaurus, I need you to move stuff instead of a car, right?
Oh, sure, sure.
Also, I would imagine that, like, even if they're not particularly violent dinosaurs, if you armor a brachiosaurus or something, you could steamroll some troops on the enemy forces, right?
Like, they got to have, like, the dinosaur version of a war elephant.
Yeah, I mean, a war, I mean, the Indians did a really good job with the whole, like, elephants being used for help and, like, you know, movement, etc.
They're damn helpful.
But with all of that, though, you can also just, you know, have them all be released and have them stampede shit like Jumanji.
Yeah, absolutely.
Now, on the smaller side, we have the working dragons that are kind of like pets or trackers, little things like raptor hounds as a herding animal or a big herd dragon to use for hunting.
And those exites that are a bit more affluent can have them as domesticated companions with these big elaborate leashes and things.
like that because of course, of course.
But the type of dragon that serves as the greatest companion of the exile are, of course, the
riding dragons.
Commonly you see like horse-like raptors.
They're called Drakesteins with sharp teeth, sharp minds, elaborate patterns, feathers,
and armor that is often crafted personally by the dragons dedicated writer.
Taming a killing machine like this takes quite a lot of skill, but that's where the exodus
thrive.
they are more or less taught how to handle these dragons from birth
and the Exxite Warriors are pretty much born in the saddle of a dragon.
They're able to guide these beasts psychically as well
and this skill is perfected through years of training and dedication to the art of writing
and of course these are the dragons that you see in the new minis.
Oh, and they look phenomenal.
Also, is that a picture of the Raptor Hounds, the little red dudes?
I think those are the small ones that they use for like more helpful situations, you know?
Yeah, because you were like, oh yeah, you can have a raptor hound as a pet.
I was like, that sounds sick.
That I would love to have a pet raptor hound, and they look phenomenal.
Love that.
I don't know what it is about a raptor hound, but love it.
There's a Dracolife is apparently the name.
Dracolife.
Also knows raptor hounds.
Oh, okay, cool.
I was like, oh, it's a different thing.
Sick.
Hell yeah.
Still on board.
Let's go.
So, Raptorhounds in English, Dracolife in Eldar bullshit.
I thought you're going to say in English, raptor hounds in British Draccarloid.
Now, going from then, of course, with all of the exite writers and all of that, through many years of friendship and brutal domination, the exites have been able to shape some of these Drake's thieves to serve certain purposes that would be otherwise impossible to occur now.
Naturally, dark-scale drake steeds are ambush predators that are very stealthy and calculated,
making them the best steed for the Exeat Leysstalkers and their snipers.
The Red Maugh is a particularly brutal and difficult to train Drake Steed
that is just as likely to kill an adversary as it is their potential writer,
which makes them very good at close quarters combat,
and a lot of Exeite clan blades will use them with axes or power weapons.
And the last one for today is the Venom Crest,
which starts its life as a normal raptor
until it suddenly becomes in tune with the world spirit
and its body begins to morph growing venom sacks
and frills around its neck.
And due to the connections of the world spirit,
they are often ridden by the psychically attuned stone singers.
Which are the ones with the weird kind of like helmet doudad
and you can see it right here
because they got them weird frills,
kind of like that one poison one that I keep forgetting.
Mm-hmm.
Damn.
God,
those new minis just
looks so good.
Oh, man.
I'm just seeing them all over
the Discord chat and it's like,
God.
They're really,
so great.
I have to really appreciate the paint job,
too,
because like the bledding
you're doing on the scales
and stuff looks really good.
Oh, yeah,
it looks phenomenal.
Also, do they ever give the,
did you say if they gave the,
um,
The Steeds weapons ever, because it looks like they could hold some shit.
The steed themselves?
With those big arms, you know?
Yeah, put an axe in one of those hands and just let them swing that shit away.
I mean, they might be able to, but I don't think so.
Normally the best way for them to swing stuff is to just stab people with their hands.
True, with their talons, you know, those long claws they got.
Yeah, that's true.
Tends to work out quite well, the whole stabbing people thing.
But imagine if they had a Glock.
I mean, that's true.
We could give the dinosaurs Glock.
Yeah.
But obviously, getting into those bits and pieces, there's also a more societal organization, but the Raptor-like dragons are the most common.
Those who are in a leadership position in the various clans and tribes can get a bit of an upgrade and can ride the more vicious and large carnosaurs, which are really big with plate armor and shirt.
and canons and are a pretty unrelenting force size alone.
The chiefs control these beasts not with rains but with a song and they tend to let them
be ridden hands free.
But the last of the tinaeosaur types are the winged dragons.
Flocks of pterosaurs and pterodons are used for scouting as well as grabbing foes from below
and dropping explosives on them from above.
And some of them are drawn to the flames of the active volcanoes of the main worlds and they do
indeed breathe fire.
They better.
Like, you can't have dragon dragons and have them not breathe fire.
Like, you need it.
And sometimes they're so big that when they're flying around, you kind of can't even
tell if there's someone on them.
Those are your classic, like, those are dragon dragons, you know?
Dragons.
Do they not have minis for, uh, the, the flyers yet?
Uh, no, they do not.
Oh, maybe one day, hopefully.
Because that'd be sick to.
A lot of people have, like, made the really big ones.
like their own custom version of the really big ones using different like
slon and things like that.
But, you know, the only official exodite models with big dragons currently
are the ones that we have now.
Okay.
So then we have Eldar Society.
So the foundation of an Exxite Society is a clan.
And clans are nomadic and tend to travel the maiden world in a seasonal manner
to assure the harvests are good and the dragons are fed.
And at their core,
the life of an exodusite fully revolves around their Drake's deed and their movements are based on their needs.
So because of this, clans tend to be sort of a loose collection of nomadic exesites that band together,
not necessarily as tight of an organization as a chapter of space marines or something,
but then multiple clans will form a tribe, and the tribe is led by a chief known as the dragon lord.
And the dragon lord then pledges field tea to the noble house of the maiden world and its king.
So to get that all going, the king is the protection,
is in charge of the protection of the world spirit and the royal circle
and is arguably the most important person on there.
And then below them are the dragon lords or chiefs of tribes.
And then below that you have your clans.
Okay.
Pretty standard hierarchy.
Yeah.
Now, the king is in charge, as I mentioned,
the protection of the world spirit.
But this is all a bit more formal when you consider that the exites are nomadic.
and large gatherings of the tribes or clans
tend to only occur when something major occurs,
like a conflict or big harvest.
Even when there's rivalry between tribes,
there is still a general level of respect
for boundaries and crop yields.
You kind of, you can hate your neighbor,
but you're not going to, like, steal his lemons type thing.
Yeah, you're not going to burn down his crop field
just because you're rivaling.
That's just madness.
Now, they coexist with their violent beasts
and untameable nature of their maiden worlds
so that they can therefore coexist with one another,
especially since they are all on the same boat with one another.
So unity is important.
And working for a similar cause against she who thirds is very important.
And it is an endless effort to tame a wild land of wild beasts.
That kind of serves as a bit of a substitute to the Assyriani paths that they fixate on.
So like it's kind of the usual, like, hey, instead of the path of the warrior,
they're constantly trying to tame the beasts.
and they all still know like, hey, the big enemy is Slanesh.
So they have problems, but they tend to be chiller than most.
Okay.
So not a ton of infighting because everybody knows that there is a much bigger threat looming.
And you can only do that if you're united so you can fight off Slanesh.
It makes sense.
They're community-based, the Exitites.
Now, the warrior cast of the Exxedites are known as Dragon Knights and have been a fixture of Eldar Society for tens of thousands of years.
They stand proud with their respective clans and tend to be the ones that directly settle disputes between other clans through ritual combat.
They tend to be very spiritual and before combat they can be seen performing war nances or tributes to the Eldar gods to evoke their names before and during battle.
A couple examples of some clans for you.
On Sif, the Sun serpent clan are tied to the sun in more ways than one.
They are armed with weapons that harness solar power and tend to be more wrong.
radiant and vicious in the summer of months, which means they seem to have Eldar's seasonal
depression.
Oh, no.
Their dragons are reflected in name by being more fiery in color.
And the clan of the exiled moon are known for the usage of much more heavy weaponry
and tend to use much larger dragons than other clans and have deep ties to the harlequins.
The clan of the sacred claw are known for their craftsmanship and their warriors harness the
crystalline matrices in their laser weapons, thanks to the refined and passed down artisan
knowledge from this world spirit.
The clan of the three sorrows are grim, and their sigil shows a deep mourning for their
actions of their ancestors in the birth of Slenesh.
They pursue only the most dangerous and hostile threats, and those who have survived
only feel more anguish.
But despite their pain, their martial focus is unparalleled.
The clan of the...
Nice. It's the Eldar Lamenters.
Yeah, exactly, of course.
Naturally.
Now, there's also the clan of the ghost stag, which are exceptional hunters that slip from the webway to track down artifacts and enemies that they claim to be if they're inherited right.
And the clan of the Sable Wing are a bit more hippie-dippy that they believe that the world spirit doesn't only represent harmony for the maiden world, but also the galaxy.
And so they seek to awaken the spirits of other worlds by seeing them with psycho-coyal.
crystals. And in their eyes,
the peace of death is noble,
and the animation of constructs made of
Wraithbone to be an unforgivable
necromancy.
So anyone that makes Wraithbone
and put spirits in there, that's fucked up, how dare you?
Oh.
Gotcha. Also, damn,
they're, like, they're pretty
damn cool. These are like some cool names,
cool lore. Damn.
Sacred Claw, Sablewink, three
sorrows, ghostag. The ghostag
colors are phenomenal.
Yeah, ghost tag is really cool.
Yeah.
There's a, there's some, there's some neat ones there.
Also, you know, they do have their drip, which is mostly out of dragon hide, which is dino leather.
Colored cloth, etc.
Pretty plain, but it allows them to weave their own patterns and other decorative things like bones or jewels into it and make their clothing very unique.
Outside of the leather, you tend to see plenty of capes, feathers, furs, shawls.
Their battle gear tends to be.
either something like mesh-based or bone-based.
You know, they're still crafting carp helms that are conical,
like their distant relatives or conical, I guess would be the phrase.
But normally they're skulls of dragons, you know, big cone dragonheads.
Of course, of course.
Now, they do mark their skins with the histories of their battles
and the memories of their long-dead gods.
This comes in the form of tattoos that range from something simple to something full body
and face paint made out of the dyes one can craft in the forest as well.
Nice.
There is an interesting thing with their distant cousins, of course,
because when it comes to their relationships with other Eldar,
there's quite a bit of interaction between the exites and others.
Remember, they are isolated, not excluded.
Now, this varies from Maidenworld to Maidenworld,
but some of these worlds welcome visits from craftwolders,
and some will welcome the exocytes onto their ships.
either with open arms or extreme skepticism,
depending on which one we're talking about.
Yeah, that makes sense.
Now, the exites overall,
like they really don't respect or care for the ways of craftwolders.
They view them as a group that are actively trying to preserve something
that resulted in the fall of their people to begin with.
And they are running a real risk of it happening again.
And they view the paths as evidence of this as a Band-Aid solution,
not an overall solution.
So a lot of them think the craft worlders
are just delaying the inevitable.
The craft worlders find the exites
to be a bit cringe.
These guys have advanced technology.
They know how to use tech
and they are actively avoiding the usage of it
to make their lives more difficult
as a form of punishment,
i.e. it costs so much to look this poor.
Yeah, I can imagine the two.
would kind of hate each other.
And they are literally two ends of the,
of different spectrums.
And yeah, that sounds about what I would think
these two would think of each other.
Now, of course, in addition, from that,
it kind of also is said that the exites
are a bit shorter than their craft rule cousins.
But it's not super clear about this,
whether it's actually true or if it's one of those
like 5-11 versus six-foot memes.
Some are a bit more.
forgiving and just view them as a bit rustic and weird, but regardless, they still trade between
them. And the exesites also have elite warriors to offer the craftwolders as well as rare
leathers and meats and harvests from the craft worlds can provide them with technologies or
information that the exesalites can't harvest themselves. And, you know, the craftwolders will
offer their aid to a maiden world as a means of like societal preservation as well. But the
exodus have a hell of a lot better of a relationship with the corsairs and the corsairs love the exodus they love them the uh the exodites are
frequent guests to corsair courts as well as straight up members of corsair fleets and their trading
relationship is notable some have such a tight relationship with the ruling families of the maiden world
they have a permanent presence in the skies above like providing orbital defense in exchange for
safe place to live.
And this is actually the relationship that Yvrain had with the maiden world of Lathglas
during their time as a Corsair fleet.
Okay.
In fact, because of this, some exudites find themselves eternally grateful for Yvrain
and have allegiances with the Unari.
Because, you know, like exodus need a place to land sometimes and it's nice to have them there.
Okay.
Okay.
Now, the Harlequins also frequent the worlds of the exodites.
They refer to them as their kindred of the garden,
and there are a number of exocytes who have joined Harlequin troops
to continue their dancing and performances,
but, you know, for the laughing God in stem.
There are also another group of cousins the exodites have
that love them for all the wrong reasons.
Maiden worlds are pure, and the lands are fertile,
making them ripe for poison, corrupting, and slave gathering.
Oh, boy.
And they say shit like this, if you want to read this one, D.K.
I have some news I've been meaning to share with you, Bellathanas, and you too,
Sion, since you're here, Maliixen said, I persuaded Archon Yulithian to plan a joint
raid on a place held by our Grash-Wing simpleton cousins, the Exodites.
God.
I imagine that there are some fantastic specimens to be found for your collection upon
Maiden Worlds, my Arkon,
Bellatonnis said.
Ooh,
boy.
Yeah, all right.
All right, all right, dark Eldar.
All right, all right.
I mean, you know, like, hey,
look at all these backwater,
backwards people who are using,
riding dinosaurs and using sticks and stones.
Let's just steal them.
Like if they call them our grass wing
Simpleton cousins, like,
golly, dude.
fucking Dracari, dude.
Oh, Oh, Dark El Dar.
Never change.
Actually, do change.
You're awful.
Just change.
Do nothing but change.
What is the shy listen?
In this episode, Exxite Glaze episode,
but he's keep thinking about the big DACA intro
where Uftok is complaining how his boss is sent him to fight dinosaur riding pointy years.
And they're so easy to kill, he is dying from boredom.
I forgot about it.
Damn, of course shy would bring it back to an orc reference, eh?
Crazy.
Well, of course, there's always an orc reference to have.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, yeah.
They do have dinosaurs.
They have dinosaurs.
We have guns.
They do also have guns, but...
Yeah.
The ex-inites have guns.
They're in the little minis.
Look at them shooting the thing.
Yeah.
Well, anyway, there is also, last but not least,
We have the endless war.
Now, conflict with the other factions is inevitable, and some have been occurring for generations.
One of the most frequent enemies actually comes in the form of nighthouses.
The dark age of technology resulted in humans, obviously being scared into space, and the colonists that would become known as nighthouses would learn to tame these worlds by essentially copying the same homework of the exesites on both world harvesting and societal structures.
they would firmly establish a foothold on the worlds
and work to push the exodus off the world,
claiming the world as night worlds.
Now, the exesites would claim that these lands were taken from them
and would fight them basically endlessly.
Other conflicts with invade,
I mean, I'll be perfectly honest,
that's pretty close to your avatar stuff right there.
You get a bunch of the blue folk,
they get a bunch of the blue folks fighting the dudes in the big mecks.
Like, yeah.
I was doing.
everything in my power. There's been a couple times it's like, oh boy, that sounds just like
Avatar, but if I keep making these references, Shai is going to kill me. She's going to send
an assassin to my house and slit my throat. I need to stop. But yes, it does sound like Avatar.
Now, going from that, of course, other conflicts with invading human forces rely quite heavily
on ground warfare and forcing the humans into a conflict of attrition. Very few humans are accustomed to
the surprise terrorists on a maiden world,
and the prospect of it seeming like a civil conflict
makes them more enticing than they should be.
The exites have mashed for the Arab drawing and an enemy
and routing them to the point of collapse,
and the longer they delay the forces on the planet,
the more time they buy the Eldar reinforcements to arrive.
Damn shy.
Us first them,
Night versus Littlefoot.
Yeah, yeah, dude.
I mean, Night versus Littlefoot is funny,
but also simultaneously,
it's like
you know that there is a knight
that is about to do its main thing
and then out of the side
like five stegosaurus
run at it and just
like smash into it
yeah
also who could hurt Littlefoot
come on even a night pilot's got to be like
oh God come on
I'd hurt Lilith
look at the eye you'd hurt Littlefoot
yeah it's Zeno's filth
you monster
you
heathen, monster.
Unbelievable.
Cancel this man.
He'd hurt Littlefoot.
Zeno's filth.
The dinosaurs fine.
Also, I'm piloting a gigantic
feudal robot. If I don't get to shoot
the gun, then I'm doing something wrong.
Gorsh.
Unbelievable. What even is
Littlefoot anyway?
It's a long neck.
Three horns don't play with long necks.
What is it from?
I don't remember what's from.
It's land before time, man.
Come on.
I haven't seen land before time.
I don't think I've seen that movie like in my life.
Wow, really?
Never?
I don't think so.
I think I skipped that part.
I probably haven't seen it in longer than I would like to say.
But man, the beginning of that movie is a real tearjerker.
Listen, I'll make this very clear.
I don't remember.
too busy watching a bugs life.
Really, really top drawer comeback.
You got us.
It's not comeback.
I just don't remember.
It's the truth.
I don't know.
I don't know if I watched it.
I don't remember.
Is this the movie where they have that meme where the guy goes yee?
What?
No, I don't think it is.
No, it's not the ye meme?
No, no, it is not.
Dang.
Have you seen the one where Littlefoot's eating the plant that's shaped like a star,
and it's usually like me when, I don't know, the buffet line opens or something?
No.
Oh, man.
Well, anyway, now, obviously, just because the, I have never seen that, no.
Just because this surface of a maiden world, speaking of dinosaur shenanigans back when,
even though it's transformed to something more idyllic, it doesn't mean the same happens underground.
So pretty often the exodus bump heads with necrons in the tombs.
For example, Enricier went to a tomb world of Karnak to wake it up, but it was heavily populated by the exodites.
And on Ricker was immediately outmatched, ironically.
And he would attempt to, well, he was trying to wake them all up and he didn't have all them folks yet.
Got you.
So he would attempt to rally aid from other forces like Gidrim, Trachon, Salom's Galleries, Tray's in.
But by the time they arrived, the craft world.
of Alley Talk showed up already to give them some support.
And Alaytok had a real bone to pick because as the Farsier Starbane was defeated by Imitek.
So the Eldar forces were able to push and prod the Necron's a bit, but Anreckear would force a direct
confrontation after he marched on the world spirit.
And the forces were evenly matched until the tomb finally woke up and the flood of Necron's
favor.
He would win and Trayson would get a trophy in the form of the world shrine, which he would put
in his library.
Oh, Trayson has a,
he has a world shrine in there?
What doesn't that,
that dude had?
I guess that's true.
I guess if,
if you say Trazen has
X artifact from 40K,
it really shouldn't be a surprise.
He has the biggest library
and museum of artifacts.
So, yeah,
I guess it shouldn't be that surprising.
Very true.
So,
also, a maiden world
is a great source of biomass.
And due to a recent
coercion of tyranny.
is proving to be utterly devastating for maiden worlds.
And the unrelenting nature of a tendril, especially,
they are often left vulnerable because the forces that would normally support them
are a bit busy dealing with the brunt of it in space.
High Fleet Naga would notably cause a lot of damage to the exodus,
as it would attack the maiden world of tar etanil,
and it consumed the world spirit,
which would cause it to scream and forcibly release all the souls to Sle,
which that psychic shockwave from the agony of the world spirit
would knock the Tyrannids back slightly,
but it would cripple the world spirits of the neighboring maiden worlds,
making their consumption even easier.
And High Fleet Naga would consume seven maiden worlds during this invasion.
Oh!
And the other High Fleets would have their own buffets with the other maiden worlds here and there.
But yeah.
Oh, that's rough.
That's rough.
So Exodites do not love it when Tyrannids show up.
I, jeez.
That's, that sucks.
That's, oh, that's not good.
That's not.
Oh.
Oh, seven of them just consumed, huh?
Fuck.
Yeah, that's a, uh, it's a time.
It is a time.
Yeah, it's a time of all time.
It's a land before time.
Hey, b'bump, you need to watch it before you can make that reference, Bricky.
I know.
It's a title reference.
Nope, nope.
You're not allowed.
Well, anyway, there's a small section specifically on orcs for shy.
Oh, okay, I guess.
So, we all know orcs are a nuisance to literally everyone in the galaxy,
and instead of going over a bunch of random attacks here and there,
we can go over the most recent one in the kill team box.
Here you go.
Isolated in the galactic north, the maiden world of Siff,
a jewel of a planet whose verdancy shelters dangers beyond count,
has been a stronghold of its exited inhabitants for millennia.
When the hard-won solitude is shattered by the brutal orc invasion,
the exodites elite dragon riders are forced to defend their sacred world.
Sick.
Very sick.
Hell.
So like the other maiden worlds, Sif would be repopulated by the exocytes way back in the day,
and they believe that all the other Eldar in the galaxy have been victims of the fall.
So they committed themselves to a very rigorous and puritanical existence,
and their isolationist nature was something.
they embraced as the one thing that saved them from extinction.
Now, each clan on SIF fiercely protects its territories,
either through the rampaging beasts of the world or the invasive vegetation.
Excuse me.
Territorial combats between clans are common and honor duels are here and there,
but total war between the clans is very rare.
There are no great cities on SIF, nor are there large spires.
The exites of SIF have truly embraced
their back-to-basics lifestyle and view anything that can be seen from the skies as a potential
risk to them in the long run. Invaders wouldn't see that any cities worth plundering or bombing,
and they would just move on. Of course, under the surface, they do have plenty of technologies
and other weapons of war that can be used if need be, like laser weapons, fabricators, and psychically
activated instrumentation. But not all of them find this to be necessary. Some have become so
puritanical that they reject even the most basic of sciences from their forebears.
But when the goings get tough, they can all be roused en masse to slice a photo pieces without
much effort.
Though super isolated and not very enticing, forces have, uh, oh, sorry, though super isolated and not
very enticing, forces have chanced on the world, including random rogue traders, maybe some
kin prospects, or like the ever so often questing tendril of a hive fleet.
Now, these forces did result in a high death count, but they were normally pretty handled,
and no meaningful invasions had occurred in the world until the beast snagga orcs of
Fen Grippa da skull breaka's beastwa.
Uh, so clearly didn't get the memo.
Oh, really?
Now, good old Nogwart, the Whirboy, had a psychic vision of the maiden world.
and in the midst of delirious yapping,
would talk about big beasts and stampedes
and big pointy horns.
And while a scary bit to some,
this is paradise to the boss.
Oh, yeah.
And time for your,
time for your or compression, D.K.?
Oh, yeah.
Norgoat says there's choppers down there
with teeth bigger than me.
We's got a hunt and fight,
and we's got to have a good time doing it.
Don't forget,
The biggest one's mine.
Fang Grippa to skullbreaker.
They're simple folks.
Yeah, that's an orc all right.
That is, that is, by the book's orc stuffs.
Yeah, yeah.
So the seers and witches along the path of the beastwa were overwhelmed with the nightmarish visions of stampeding orcs.
And before long, the orc fleet would arrive in orbit.
Now, all the war bands of Fangrippa wanted to get to the surface first,
and this resulted in many just colliding with one another
and blowing up in the atmosphere,
which caused debris and bodies to rain down on the exonites.
Fan Grippa would see the hollowed out ancient Eldar ships
closer to the surface and would be optimistic
that there would be some good crumping on this world.
Though some of the surface was surprised by the arrival,
the major clans were not.
The clan of the Sun-Surpent Stone Singers
would learn of the incoming green tide,
and that would spark a clan-wide court to discuss plans.
The first time such a court was held in centuries.
They needed to do their best to protect the cradle of dragon fire,
which was their direct connection to the world spirit.
And in doing so, Fan Grippa's ship would land in this area,
and the exites would be caught between a rock and a hard place.
They could likely hold their own,
but an orc presence never really goes away.
No, it sure doesn't.
If it were to go really far south, they might have to go and seek the world spirit itself and force the activation of its draconic aspect.
Since this is kill-team lore, it's inconclusive, like always.
But past evasions on other worlds by orcs have been fairly all or nothing.
Nasdrague of the bad moons would completely wipe out the population of the maiden world of Tikran,
while the forces of Talanor would overwhelm the orc forces that had invaded there with the aid of.
of lay talk. And last
but not least, because this is kill team stuff
and they just shove a bunch of random quotes from people.
Here is the final one for the day.
All right. The Great Wheel
turns, the cycle of suffering
and revelation continues.
The past shows us what the future shall
be, bitter ashes
and broken dreams.
We try to mask our nature. We try
to control it, hide from it.
But in the end, our fates
are inexorable.
Inexorable? Inexorable?
and exhorable either or?
Yeah, yeah.
Kelseth the Exodite.
B.
Babbababum.
Bamb. Bamb. Bamb.
But yeah.
That's basically exodites.
Damn, exudites are cool.
Exxonites are sick as hell.
It's all just Avatar references to me.
It's just...
It's just Avatar references left, right.
They should be blue at this point.
But no, they're really cool.
Those minis are really cool.
The kill team stuff, really cool.
Their lore, really cool.
Also, very tragic because, you know, when you're an isolationist race, it really sucks when you run into, like, you know, a horde of tyrannids or a hive tendril or something because you are just proper fucked.
So, yeah, love me, some exonites.
Let's go.
Hell yeah.
No, I mean, I think it's really good.
I think they're pretty sick.
They got a lot of cool parts to them.
You know, obviously, they're L's running dinosaurs and that alone is just a really neat thing in general.
general.
So we always,
we always like that.
I don't know.
I mean, for the most part,
they,
I do like the whole,
I do like the whole,
hey,
here is the,
um,
not the,
not the concept,
but,
uh,
yeah,
this isn't the white scars after all with the concept.
Oh,
geez.
I just like the fact that they literally were just like,
Amish doomsayers and they're like,
what the hell is going on with these people?
And then they got,
they got through it.
and stuff.
Amish doomsayers.
Now with now, now with dinosaurs.
Now with dragons.
Now with dinosaurs.
Oh, I thought, it's pretty sick.
It's pretty sick.
Yeah, there's not really a whole lot to complain about with the Exodites.
Except they need more minis.
Let's get some flyers in there.
Let's get something beyond the kill team stuff.
Let's really expand these guys because they seem, they do seem like the money printing
faction where it's just like, yeah, who would
Who doesn't want elves riding dinosaurs shooting giant lasers?
I do.
I mean, yeah.
Yeah.
Print more money, GW.
What are you doing?
Anyway, take us home, Briggie.
Uh, more dinosaurs, please?
That'll do, pig.
That'll do.
