Hello, hello, welcome to this episode of Receive. I am your host, Jen Ditsasey. I am a premier
transformation coach for women and I have helped many, many women create the lives that they desire by
really overcoming their fears and using the power of manifestation and the subconscious mind.
And today, I'm excited to talk to you about a topic that for many years, I would not have
recorded this podcast. I felt a lot of shame about the anxiety that I experienced for over a decade.
And now that I consider myself to be largely on the other side of that, and I've gone through
a lot of learning and growth through the course of healing my own anxiety, I'm excited to share with
you today four pillars that I have really found have completely changed my relationship with myself
and also with my experience of anxiety. At this point, I would say that about 95% of my anxiety
is healed. It's very rare that I experience anxiety. And so it's most days I have.
no anxiety at all. Even when things are not necessarily going my way or things don't work out,
I feel very calm most of the time. And truthfully, it's not something that I ever thought
would come out of my mouth because I was so anxious for so long about everything. And so
really excited to share this with you today. And two of these pillars that I'm going to share
are things that I work with my clients on in my program. So my program is all about
manifestation and really healing the subconscious mind. I never ever really talk about anxiety.
We don't do specific work around anxiety, but so many of my clients report that their anxiety is
almost completely better, if not completely better, because of this work that we do.
And I'll really explain to you why that is.
And I hope that you leave this episode with so much hope and so much clarity on what you can do
if you are experiencing anxiety or panic attacks, anything of the sort, social anxiety,
generalize anxiety, whatever it might be, right?
Situational, it doesn't really matter.
or if you just want to feel a deeper sense of calm and peace within your life, I hope that this
episode leaves you with so many tools and so much insight that you really can heal this within your
own system and you really can experience a totally new reality for yourself of how you're really
experiencing life. Because the thing I think that was the most difficult for me when I was in the
thick of my anxiety is that it really completely changed how I related to life. Because I was
in this space of always either worrying that I was going to be anxious or trying to figure out how to not be
anxious, right, to prepare to not be anxious. And it was this little vicious loop that I had created for myself.
And now that I'm on the other side of that, there's so much mental energy, there's so much liberation in not
experiencing that. And, you know, I think that people experience anxiety to differing degrees,
but it's very, very, very common nowadays. And yeah, I'm excited to give you these tools to help you
make it significantly less common for yourself. So sharing a little bit about my own story and my own
journey with anxiety. I didn't really have a ton of anxiety growing up that I really remember,
but it was when I was in college and I was about to graduate. A few months before I was going to graduate,
I remember sitting in a lecture. I went to UC Santa Barbara, which is a really large university.
A lot of the classes have, I don't know, 500 students in them, maybe more than that. I really,
I did count personally. And I was sitting in a very large university. I was sitting in a lot of,
one of the middle aisles in the lecture and I just started freaking out. I just started having so much
anxiety because I felt trapped in that space within the seats on the lecture. And that was really
kind of the start of this for me. And then it sort of spread throughout my life. And I dealt with that
to varying degrees for about 10 years. I experienced it while I was driving. I experienced it when I was
like speaking up at work. I would experience it in social situations. I remember I would go places,
I would go to the grocery store and I'd be so afraid that I was going to have. I don't know if they were panic attacks or anxiety attacks. I don't know the difference between them. I didn't ever call them panic attacks. Maybe they were. It doesn't really matter. It's all semantics. What mattered is that the experience was not good. I really, really would stress out about the smallest things. And I really didn't like it. Right. And at the time, I wanted to do everything with my boyfriend because he was the person that made me not feel as anxious. And so it was really limiting what I felt comfortable doing. And my life.
felt very small. And I went on this journey really to understand why was I experiencing this,
right? Where was it coming from? And to get to the point where I'm at now, where it is really truly,
I can honestly say, it's very rare that I feel anxious. It's very situational at this point. But on a daily
basis, I don't really experience much anxiety. I feel quite present. I feel quite calm. I feel quite
happy on a daily basis. And I really think it is because of these four pillars that I'm going to share with
you today. And I notice when I waver and I move away from any of these four pillars, I notice my mental
state, my physical state is not where I want it to be. So I bring myself back. Right. I make a practice of
these things and I really prioritize them in my life because as you know, our manifestations at our life are a
direct result of how we are feeling and how we are showing up. So if we are not manifesting the things that we
want in our life, we really need to look at how am I feeling? What am I thinking on a daily basis? Because that is what I'm
creating within my reality, right? And anxiety really affects our ability to manifest the things that we
want in our life. And the way that I think about it is, and this is really come from my own journey and
also what I've seen with my clients is that when we want to manifest our highest level,
the first thing we have to do is clear out the anxiety and the fear from the nervous system.
It doesn't have to completely be gone, right? It may be something that we experience our whole lives,
but if we are in a state like I was of constant anxiety, that really needs to be healed first,
or at least the dial turned down significantly on that, or it's going to be very difficult for us
to truly access our highest potential and our highest level. So why don't we get into it? Let's get
into these pillars. So the first pillar that I want to share with you is really subconscious rewiring.
And I share this first because I will say that the first two pillars I'm going to share with you are
probably the most powerful, have been the most powerful for me. And subconscious rewiring really
dramatically changed my experience of anxiety and the amount at which I experienced anxiety.
It has allowed me to feel so much calmer. It has allowed me to really feel more clear,
to know who I am more clearly. It's almost the way I think about it is like throughout our lives,
in our brains, we collect dust and we collect dirt from experience, from some stressful things that
happen to us from things that people say, right? And these create programs. These create loops,
mental loops. They create beliefs. They create fears. They create doubts. They create worries. And when we have
that dirt in our mind, we will experience reality in a very different way. And it can feel difficult
for us to not experience anxiety, to experience that sense of calm. And so what I view subconscious
rewiring as is basically taking a pressure washer and cleaning out the brain. And so,
right, cleaning out all the dust, all the dirt from those crevases, crevases, I don't know,
whatever, you call it what you want, those little creases in the brain.
We clean it out so that way you can really experience life with this clarity, with this
sense of peace within the mind. And the way that subconscious rewiring works is your mind is
taking in billions and billions of pieces of information every minute, every second,
it's taking in tons of information from your environment.
Right now it's taking in my voice, right?
Any background noises, the temperature of your skin, your heart rate, you're breathing,
your digestion, the light in the room, what somebody else is saying.
Your mind is constantly surveying your environment.
It's constantly picking up all of this information, right?
The inflection of my voice, the phrasing of my sentences.
Your mind is working overtime to collect all this information to make sure that you are safe
in your environment.
And what happens is,
is it takes in all that information.
And if you became consciously aware of everything that's going on,
you'd probably blow up, right?
Because our mind would be so overwhelmed that we would blow up
or we just would never, we'd be incapacitated and never do anything.
So lovingly, our subconscious mind takes that information
and it distills it down to just a very, very small percentage,
less than 1%, much less actually,
then 1% of that information is what you are then made aware of. And so we are not experiencing our
reality. We are experiencing the filtered version of our reality. And what is your mind taking all that
information and filtering it by? It's filtering it by your beliefs, your past experiences,
your mood, the time of day, the past memories, the worries, things that your mom said,
things that your teacher said. Your model of the world essentially is what it's filtering it by.
And the issue with that is if we have things in our subconscious mind that don't align with the reality that we want to experience, then we are going to be filtering, constantly filtering our reality in a way that doesn't support our goals, doesn't support the way that we want to live our lives.
So going back to anxiety, for me, my mind was filtering my reality basically for all the things I could worry about, for all of the fears that I had.
And the issue is that our subconscious mind works faster than our conscious mind.
So this is happening very, very quickly to the point where it can be even difficult for us to
recognize that it's even happening. And that's why these beliefs, these doubts, these fears that
exist in the mind are so insidious. Because the mind is filtering things so quickly that it is
creating a picture of our world that aligns with the old reality, the old things that we experienced,
not the new things that we want to experience. So what it means when we rewire the subconscious mind
is what we're doing is we're basically clearing out layers of that old programming to move you
to seeing the world in a way that supports the reality you wish to create versus the reality
you've repeatedly been creating. In my experience, it was I kept repeatedly creating anxiety,
right? Reasons to be anxious, things to be anxious about. It was like this buzzer that kept going
off in my mind. And so what I have seen with subconscious rewiring is it's most effectively done
with consistency. And there are certain methods like RRT, which I do with my one-on-one clients,
which stands for rapid resolution therapy, not RTT. That's different. RR. That can work very quickly
for very targeted specific things that you're experiencing. But for something like generalized
anxiety or anxiety that you experience in a lot of different circumstances, it can be
really helpful to just do a consistent practice of subconscious rewiring. And that's what I do in my
community is we have weekly sessions. And the sessions can be on any topic. They can be on love,
money, worthiness, a fear of success, fear of failure, whatever it might be, fear of being seen.
It doesn't really matter because what's happening is you say you do a session on worthiness,
your mind will take what it learned and apply it in other experiences and other ways.
So what happens is over time, every session that you do stacks to the point where you've really
completely shifted the operation system of your brain and you see the world in a totally different
way. And this is why my clients will wake up one day and just be like, oh, I just don't really
experience anxiety anymore. That's funny. Most of them don't even notice it until you bring it up
with them because it's such a, it's such a subtle yet powerful process that occurs. So with
subconscious rewiring, there's a lot of stuff online of people talking about, listen to this
to rewire your subconscious mind or do this for 10 days and you'll rewire your subconscious mind.
That's not really how it works. It's kind of something that ideally you do with consistency.
You do it with someone who can guide you through the process to help you identify how it works
for you. Because a lot of the audios that people will give you a lot of those things,
if they're not working with the language and the way that the subconscious mind works,
they're not really going to be effective. And you can think of it as like there's levels to
subconscious rewiring. Technically, like, visualizations and affirmations, those do rewire the
subconscious mind. But they're very, they're like a light dose of rewiring. So they take a long
time to work versus we can use methods like what I do in my weekly sessions or RRT that I do
with my clients. Those are much stronger dosages of subconscious rewiring. The thing, though,
to know, too, is that your mind will allow you to rewire it at a pace that is right for you.
So a lot of people are like, I just want to do this. I want to get this done fast.
You've got to be conscious, though, of your mind's never going to give you more than you can handle.
So it's going to be like peeling back layers.
And that's why it's important to do it with consistency and to make it a regular practice within your life.
So that's really the first piece that I have found to be wildly helpful, not just for anxiety.
I mean, for like everything, for fears, for doubts, for worries, for being able to show up as your true self versus the mind,
the limited self. So that's the first piece. The second pillar is really nutrition and health and how you are
caring for your body. And truthfully, I would say for me personally, all of these four pillars were important.
I would say subconscious rewiring helped me with probably like maybe 70% of my anxiety. And then another
massive piece of that. It's hard to even say with percentages. Let's say subconscious rewiring was like 60%. And then health and nutrition has
been like the other 30% and the other stuff is like the other 10%. Because if your body is
chronically inflamed from eating foods that do not support you, right? Eating highly processed foods,
eating a lot of sugar, eating gluten, eating a lot of the dairy that's available in the US,
eating seed oils. What's going to happen is your body's going to be in this constant state of
inflammation and you get inflammation in the brain. You can get inflammation in every area of your
body and that lowers your vibration and it makes it much more difficult for you to access those states
of calm. You can think of your body as like the anchor that can prevent you from going to those higher
levels of consciousness and those higher levels of peace and calm and joy within your life. And so what I
often see in the spiritual space and even some of the main like big spiritual teachers will talk about like,
oh, you don't really need to worry about, I've heard one say this, you don't need to worry about your
nutrition because you can just heal it with your mind. And I do believe that that is true,
but most people are not at that point. Most people do not have such a highly developed consciousness
and mind that they're able to just heal themselves without doing the physical component,
right? With eating crap all day long and then going into meditation, you've got to do both. And why wouldn't
you want to do both? Right. Your body is such a gift. It is a gift that has been given to you from the
creator and you are on this earth. And part of your goal on this earth is to take care of that
vessel that you have been given. So why wouldn't you take really good care of it by feeding it
foods that heal it? But also knowing that when you do that, you are actually lowering your
chances of getting anxiety. You're lowering your chances of feeling like crap throughout the day,
of giving yourself more energy, of giving yourself more vitality within your life. And so I
firmly believe that health and nutrition and really caring for your body is a massive part of healing
anxiety within the body. Not only is it going to calm inflammation, but it's going to give you more
mental clarity. It's going to reduce brain fog. It's going to allow you to really show up as
the best version of you because you're not going to have this anchor weighing you down. Your body
should feel light. It should feel healthy. It should feel free. And so some of the things that I
recommend is first, like, this is, and people are like, oh, that's so hard to do. I think it's harder to live
with anxiety. I think it's harder to live with feeling like crap all day with not having enough energy
to spend time with your kids to feel good going on walks to waking up in the morning. I think that's
way harder than changing your diet personally. So some of the things that you could start with is
if you, well, first, a lot of anxiety is also linked to your gut health. And so working with someone,
I recommend either a naturopath, not all states have access to a naturopath. Not all states have access to a
naturopath or a functional medicine doctor. You can search functional medicine doctors online and
naturopaths online where you live or you can see them virtually, but they're going to look deeper than a
traditional doctor is going to look. For me, a big part of my healing was from really understanding
the way that my unique body worked and what foods work well for my unique body. But I can say that
things like sugar, gluten, processed foods, soy, like seed oils, all of those things are inflammatory
and anybody is going to benefit from eliminating them.
And eating a whole foods diet, so like vegetables, fruits, meats, nuts, those kinds of things
are really going to, you'll see a dramatic improvement in your anxiety just from those changes.
There's also certain supplement recommendations that you can look at.
I'll share with you what I do.
This doesn't mean go out, go on Amazon and buy all these supplements.
What it means is research it work with somebody and find what works for your own body because
I promise you it's so worth it.
The level of calm that you feel in your nervous system, when you're not constantly inflamed,
when you're not eating like crap, is like most people have never experienced that in their life,
especially in the U.S.
Some things I find helpful for anxiety are omega-3s, so I take a fish oil.
I take a B vitamin.
Now, you want to make sure that you take a methylated B vitamin because a lot of people
with anxiety have certain genetic mutations where they're not able to process B vitamins super
well.
So that can be a really helpful thing to look into.
I take those. I take liver supplements, like beef liver supplements, because those have a lot of really
good nutrients. Another thing that has really helped me as well is actually eating more animal foods.
And I know that this is something that in the spiritual community, it's looked at as being
amazing to be a vegetarian or a vegan. For me, that didn't work. I was a vegan for five years.
I was a vegetarian for like eight years. And my health was never worse. And I was eating healthy.
I was eating, you know, beans and nuts and whole foods and those kinds of things. But it didn't work.
for my body. What works better for my body is fruits and meats and eggs and those kinds of things
and certain kinds of dairy. So that is something to really, really, really look at. And I'm not going to
dig into this because there's people who that's their thing and they go super into it. But if you're
experiencing anxiety, look at what you're putting in your mouth. Look at the amount of caffeine you're
consuming. Look at your hydration levels. Are you actually exercising? And I don't mean, you know,
going to the gym and killing yourself. I mean going on walks or.
moving your body or doing some yoga, weights if it feels good for you. But everything is connected,
right? You're not a department store. You don't have different departments for each area of your life.
Anxiety is something that is multifactorial. It is something that is related to the way your mind's
processing information and also the inflammation levels in your body. So the more that you can do to
really make sure that you're nourishing your body well, something I always find so funny is
people are so comfortable taking a little pill, and they know that that little pill, like,
even if it's a painkiller or something of that sort, and I have no judgment of taking pills.
I took SSRI's antidepressants when I was really in the thick of it with my anxiety, and they helped me.
You know, I don't take them anymore because I didn't like the side effects of them, but no judgment on that.
But as an example, let's say this little SSRI, this little antidepressant, you take it and it's a tiny pill,
right? And you know the effects that can have on you. Yet we eat large quantities.
of food every single day and we don't recognize the massive impact it's having on us. We think it's not a big
deal. But the food you eat influences your genetic expression. It influences actually the health of
your body. And I consider it to be a big act of self-love when I make myself a nice meal or I eat something
healthy or I choose to go on a walk or I choose to go to yoga. Those are all ways that I show myself
that I love myself. Right. And that's something to look at. If you struggle to do these things for
yourself if you're always prioritizing other people, look at that relationship with yourself. Are you
loving yourself enough? Right? That's a massive part of this too. So the fourth, the third pillar,
I kind of touched on a little bit, but it's really like nervous system regulation. And this is really
interlinked with subconscious rewiring. As you rewire your subconscious mind,
you rewire the way your nervous system is operating. So you will feel calmer, right? You will feel more at
peace. But what can also be helpful is to help your nervous system release pent up emotion, pent up
stress that has been accumulated in the nervous system over time. So the way I like to think of the
nervous system is it's like a pot of water on the stove. Ideally, the stove is not on. The pot of water
is cool and calm and peaceful. But that's not how life works, right? We have bills to pay. We have
children to care for. We have pets. We have spouses, all these things, right? And so what happens is
that pot of water gets turned on or that flame gets turned on and the water starts to boil. And if we don't
turn down the flame or we don't do something to calm down that water, what we're going to experience
is that water boiling over, right? We're going to experience stress. And those those stresses can show up
as anxiety, physical ailments, pain within the body, fears, doubts, worries, limitations that we experience.
And so what we want to do is we want to calm the nervous system. And we do that with practices like
meditation. I feel like I mentioned meditation so much because it's so powerful. That was another
powerful healing piece of healing my own anxiety. And one thing I want to mention is I think we're always
looking for a one pill solution. We're looking for like, okay, tell me to do this and I'll do it and I'll be
good. That's not how most of the things happen in life. And so recognizing that healing your
anxiety will be probably more multifactoral than just taking a pill. A pill can help for a little bit,
you know, but it's not going to be a root cause solution for you. So meditation,
breath work, somatic experiencing or somatic release exercises, tapping, the subconscious rewiring
sessions that we do, moving your body and dancing, anything that helps you to move energy through
your system and also calms your system as well. So things like meditation, right? Setting boundaries in
your life is also part of nervous system regulation. If you're constantly letting people walk all over
you or, you know, not setting boundaries and setting clear expectations of how people treat you,
that's going to dysregulate your nervous system. It's going to cause stress and anxiety in your life.
So looking at also how you're allowing yourself to be treated. The relationships in your life, right?
Are they positive or are they kind of not the greatest things that could be happening in your life?
So that's really the third piece. And the fourth piece is that spiritual connection. For me,
a massive part of not feeling anxious is just recognizing I'm not doing this alone, that I am supported,
that I have guidance. And just like any relationship, you want to cultivate that.
relationship with the universe, with your creator, because it will strengthen and it will show up more
in your life. You will be more present, the more that you cultivate that relationship. You will see it
more. You will see it more clearly. So some ways to do this are meditation, prayer, you can journal.
I like to go on walks and just have a conversation with the creator. All of these different things are
really going to help you calm down that sense of anxiety on a deep, deep level. Because it's not just
a physical problem. It's not just an emotional, mental, or spiritual problem. It's all connected,
right? So we want to support ourselves on all levels. And I promise if you implement these changes,
even some of them, you are going to experience dramatic improvements. And you will feel a sense of
peace that you likely have never felt before. And it's available to you. It's available to you now.
So I do want to emphasize just a little bit more the power of meditation as well. So meditation, going into
deep states of meditation is very healing for the body, and you can access a different reality.
So that's how people are able to spontaneously heal ailments that they've had for a long time.
Okay. So we want to be working on all levels, right? We want to be caring for ourselves on all
levels because the way that we care for ourselves dramatically impacts what we're able to
call into our lives. If you're treating yourself poorly and you're trying to manifest someone
who loves you incredibly deeply, there's a misalignment in that because we manifest. We manifest.
not what we want, we manifest who we're being. So if we're not loving ourselves, we're not
respecting ourselves, well, we're going to keep experiencing that in our reality until we learn that
lesson. So I hope you have loved this. I know it was a lot of info. If you would like more information
