Starting point is 00:00:00 Hello and welcome to this episode of Receive that is all about the subconscious mind. When I did a poll on Instagram about what type of episode you wanted, there was an overwhelming response for this episode to talk about how to rewire the subconscious mind. So I am Jen, your host, and I am so excited to share this with you because this is something that I have helped my clients with. And it has also transformed my own life, is learning to work with the subconscious mind, really learning what it is, because truthfully, it is the supercomputer that is running your entire life. And so my goal today is really to give you a much better understanding of this brilliant machine that you have inside of your head, and also how to work with it,
Starting point is 00:00:46 how to rewire it in a way that will allow you to create the life that you want. Because truthfully, you do not manifest what you consciously want. The things that you write down in your notebook and say, I want this, I want this, I want this, you don't manifest those things. If we did, there would be a lot of people with way more stuffed bank accounts, way better marriages, way healthier physiques, because we manifest what we believe is possible on a subconscious level. And that's what we're going to get into today. Because truly, if you want to manifest a brilliant life, you need to understand and know about the subconscious mind. You really need to get it and to get that this is running the show. So I would love to dive in and first just kind of start off with the difference
Starting point is 00:01:33 between the subconscious mind and the conscious mind. Because I think these terms are thrown around, especially a lot on social media. And it's not always explained. It's kind of assumed that you know what it is. And so I really want to talk about this and give you just like crystal clear understanding because that's that's my thing. So what is the subconscious mind? So the subconscious mind is the aspect of your mind that operates outside of your awareness. And your conscious mind is everything that you are aware or conscious of. So you're aware of me speaking right now. You're probably pretty aware of the color and the lighting in the room that you're in. Right. You might be aware of being hungry or certain thoughts that you're having. But there's all
Starting point is 00:02:14 these subconscious processes. And I will use the term subconscious and unconscious interchangeably, because they really mean the same thing. Subconscious processes that are going on that are really running the show. And research has shown that about 95% of your reality is created by your subconscious mind because your subconscious mind is dictating the majority of your thoughts, if not all of them, how you feel your behaviors, how you are showing up, it is determining how you filter the world around you. It is this hidden operating system that is controlling everything. So some things that you are uncertain aware that it is controlling are things like your heart rate, your body, temperature, your digestion, right? You don't have to think about those things. They just automatically
Starting point is 00:02:59 happen, right? They're these automatic processes. The thing is, though, there's a ton of other automatic processes that are happening that your subconscious mind is creating for you that you may not be aware of. So the way that it works is your subconscious mind brings in massive amounts of information every single second. So the estimate, and there's kind of different numbers thrown around for this, but I will share what I learned in my NLP classes, is that there's two billion pieces of information that your subconscious mind is taking in every single second. So it's taking in the feeling of your clothes. It's taking in the temperature. It's taking in the time of day. It's taking in the tone, the pitch, the body language of the person that you're talking to. It's taking in two billion
Starting point is 00:03:47 pieces of information. Then what happens is your mind, your subconscious mind, distills all of that down into you will never guess how much it is, a tiny amount. 126 bits of information. And bits is just little pieces of information. That is then what you are made consciously aware of. So from 2 billion to 126, you are only aware of less than 1% of what is actually going on in your reality. And so what happens to take it from that 2 billion to that 126 is your mind distorts,
Starting point is 00:04:23 leets and generalizes information in order to fit with the model of the world that you have operating in your head. So let me give you an example of this to make it more tangible. Let's say that Billy Joe, hopefully you don't know anyone named Billy Jell. Let's say that Billy Joe grew up in a house where money was always tight. Like her parents were always pinching pennies. They were always cutting things. There maybe were times where there wasn't enough food on the table. So there was this operating system within the household, that money was tight, that there was not enough money. So what happens is Billy Joe's mind now has that programming within it. And so Billy Joe's mind for the rest of her life, unless she does something to change it, is going to filter her world
Starting point is 00:05:08 to prove that belief to be true. Because it's the same thing as when you put a piece of software on your computer, that computer is going to run according to that software until you update that software or you change it or you delete it. Okay. And that's what happens in our subconscious mind. The majority of the information that you are operating off of, the average person is operating off of, you are not average, my friend, you are amazing. But most people are operating off of programming that was installed before the age of
Starting point is 00:05:40 seven. So before the age of seven, your mind was like a little sponge. It was taking in information, absorbing everything going on around you. and it wasn't really doing anything to discern. It wasn't thinking like, oh, my mom said that money is tight, but do I really want to believe that? No, a seven-year-old is not doing that, right? Most people don't do that until they're significantly older. So their mind is just absorbing, absorbing, absorbing, absorbing, absorbing. And what is happening is you can think of, it's like walking on wet mud. There's these imprints being made in your mind. And then that mud hardens. And you create your reality
Starting point is 00:06:18 based off of that hardened mud. And so when we rewire our subconscious mind, what we are doing is we are upgrading what imprints are put into your mind. The way I like to describe this is that your subconscious mind has a set of blueprints. And these blueprints are for every single area of your life. You have a blueprint for love. You have a blueprint for your health. You have a blueprint for your finances, for the level of success that you will allow yourself to have. You have a blueprint for how you view yourself, how you view other people. You have a blueprint for how you spend your time for how you feel throughout the day, your common emotions. And if we do not do the work to update these blueprints, what happens is we will continue to create those same realities over and over and
Starting point is 00:07:07 over again. So it is very, very, very important that we learn how to upgrade these. That way we can shift and create different realities that are not based on things we heard at a very young age. And another thing I want to mention is if you have had experiences that were emotionally charged, so it could be traumatic with a big T or a little T, just uncomfortable experiences that kind of create an impression in your mind, what happens is your subconscious mind does not follow the same stream of time that you and I do. There's no past, present, or future. So that, let's say, that you had an experience, let's say that Billy Jean, we'll go with Billy Jean this time, let's say Billy Jean got into a car accident. And what happens is that's a very emotionally charged
Starting point is 00:07:54 event. So it creates this imprint in her mind. And it might cause her to be uncomfortable driving in the future or get anxiety whenever she sees a red car, something like that. And those are very automatic responses, like the snap of my fingers. And what happens is because when her mind sees that red car. Her mind isn't like, oh, well, that happened in the past that's not happening now. Her subconscious is like, oh, my God, a red car that's bad. And so it's just this automatic response that happens. And so if we do not update the meaning of those experiences, and you can apply this in any area of your life. If we do not update the meaning of those experiences, then our mind will continue to associate those experiences with those negative events.
Starting point is 00:08:36 So let's say that you got, you had a really bad breakup. This happened to me when I was in high school, the first guy that I dated, such a cute guy, we broke up and he started dating one of my friends. And it was so, I was devastated. I remember, like, sitting on the floor of my mom's office and I was just bawling my eyes out. I was so I had to rewire that experience. So it did not later affect my relationships. So I didn't feel unsafe in relationship after that. Because I wasn't consciously thinking like, oh, that's not happening anymore. The mind doesn't have, the subconscious doesn't have a realization of the stream of time. So my mind, whenever I would have anything that was even remotely similar to that experience, it would trigger those emotions from that experience. That's why we feel triggered. That's why sometimes it feels like, oh my God, I can't regulate my nervous system. I can't regulate my emotions because
Starting point is 00:09:27 we're triggering a past memory that the mind is like, oh crap, you need to look at this because remember last time this happened, like this is bad. So we need to update that meaning. We need to clear out all of that old gunk. And this is literally what I do on a daily basis with my clients, because it is the most powerful thing you can do. Because a lot of people on social media talk about nervous system regulation, right? Doing somatic work, doing things to calm your nervous system. But beneath that is you need to update the programming that is creating that dysregulated nervous system in the first place. Your heart rate beating because you see a red car is because of that programming in the subconscious mind. That's the start of that. The heartbeat beating is the symptom.
Starting point is 00:10:13 So we want to go below the surface. That's why when we do this subconscious work, something I see over and over and over again, honestly, I get messages like this on a weekly basis is my clients no longer experience anxiety or they experience significantly less anxiety than they used to. That's the same for me. Because when you update and clear out those old stories that are automatically playing in the mind, you clear out the mind's need to create that emotional response of anxiety because these things are no longer triggering it. An example I like to use of this is think of a pot of water on the stove and it's super calm, right? And then as we go through life, we have negative experiences, we have stressful experiences, we have uncomfortable experiences.
Starting point is 00:11:01 And you can think of all of that as heat that is added to the water and then the water starts to kind of boil. Then say I drop like a spoon in the water and it creates a big push, right? Like a puff of hot water comes out, right? Because it's boiling and so it might boil over a little bit. That's the same thing that happens with us. If we have a lot of gunk and a lot of unprocessed memories and unprocessed experiences in our subconscious mind, when we have something stressful happen, we might overreact to it. And it's a lot harder for us to regulate our emotions and respond in a peaceful, way like we truly want to if we do not release the steam from the water first. Okay. And that's where nervous system regulation and subconscious reprogramming work comes in. And really subconscious
Starting point is 00:11:48 reprogramming is, in my opinion, kind of like the golden way to regulate your nervous system, because you're shifting what's going on at that deeper level. And I'll get more into this. I love talking about this because it truly changed my life. I used to have, and I think I've talked about this on the podcast. I know I've talked to many of my clients about this. I had horrible anxiety. Like, I was afraid to drive my car. I was anxious in work meetings to the point where sometimes I would just log off because I was too anxious to be on the meetings. Like, I was a very, very anxious person. And I was like, I had this belief, like, there's something wrong with me. Like, what is wrong with me? And I tried everything. I tried diets. I tried all sorts of different therapies. I tried anything you can think of. I tried it.
Starting point is 00:12:29 And it was not until I started doing this subconscious work that it completely shifted for me. And I will say that 95% of my anxiety now is gone. And really, I only experience anxiety now when I haven't been taking as good of care of myself as I should be. So that is the power of this work. It can really shift. What also happens as you, you could think of subconscious rewiring as like this way to calm the nervous system and get into more of a parasympathetic state. When you get into that state, you're much more in tune with your intuition. You're much less in doubt. You're much less in fear. You're much less in survival mode. And you're much more able to actually show up as the person you want to be. You feel more comfortable taking risks. You feel more comfortable showing up for yourself
Starting point is 00:13:17 and showing up for your dreams because you're not constantly battling your mind and constantly battling these fears. So let me think if there's some other pieces I want to add about the mind that will be valuable for you. And in the manifestation accelerator, my signature program, I go very deep into the subconscious mind. I have an entire module teaching you about it because it's so, so powerful for you to really understand it on a deep level. And we do weekly rewiring sessions to clear out this gunk that's going on. Because what I've seen is that it is very, very beneficial to clear out the gunk on a weekly basis, to continuously do this work. because experiences will happen, you will live your life, new layers of healing will be unveiled for you. And as you do this on a continuous basis, it's you create an upward spiral within your life where you are constantly just attracting more and more powerful, positive manifestations into your life. So something else I want to mention about the subconscious is that it prioritizes safety over everything else. So your subconscious mind, you can kind of think of it as like a little seven-year-old. It doesn't always
Starting point is 00:14:30 understand the way that the world works. It doesn't always understand logic. It does not operate on logic whatsoever. It is very instinctual. It operates in a completely different language than our conscious mind does. So our conscious mind operates in logic and numbers and reason, right? It's very reasonable. Your subconscious mind is very emotionally driven. It operates best with stories and metaphors and repetition. It's a different operating system. Its number one priority is to keep you safe. That's like Numero uno, it will do whatever it takes to keep you safe to keep you surviving. Thriving, it's cool if you thrive, but like safety comes first. So the reason I share that is your subconscious mind associate safety with familiarity. So anything that is familiar is considered
Starting point is 00:15:21 safe. Even if, let's say that you've had, I'm not going to use you, let's say, say Billy Jean has had a history of boyfriends who were just complete jerks. Even though those are not safe or truly safe or healthy relationships, they're familiar. So she will continue to attract those relationships into her life because they are familiar. And the subconscious mind likes familiar because it's like, well, I get this. I know I can work with this. I've done it before. I can do it again. So I know that this is safe. But that guy over there who is super emotionally mature, I don't know, like, that doesn't feel super safe because I've never done it before. It's that kind of structure. And the same thing kind of goes for, let's talk about career and success. A lot of people will hit
Starting point is 00:16:06 plateaus in their life or they might fear stepping out and seeking a new career because their subconscious is like, oh my God, that's not safe. Like, we've never done that. We do not know what's on the other side of that fence. So we're going to stay here in this job that, yeah, we make pretty good money. It kind of sucks, but we're going to stay here because it's comfortable. And if you do not get yourself to do that work to get out of that, then it's very difficult to create those changes. And for me, I stayed in a job I didn't like for eight years because it was safe. Like, I get it. I get it. And then I did this work and it was like my entire life changed overnight. I started my first business and then I started this business. And now like I love my life. I am truly living my purpose.
Starting point is 00:16:50 I get to create my own days. I get to work with amazing people. Like, I am so glad I did not stay in that job. I can't even imagine what my life would be like if I had done that. Another important thing to know about your subconscious is it executes on any command that is given. But I'm going to put like a little asterisk at this one because people think like, well, I scripted this and it's not working. Well, that's because there's a difference between what you consciously write down and decide you want and what it believes is safe. So you can command yourself over and over and over again to go to the gym, go to the gym, but if you're finding it really difficult to show up for yourself and go to the gym, it's because there's something subconsciously that's resisting it, right?
Starting point is 00:17:31 Whether it's there's something it believes is quote unquote not safe about going to the gym or about leaving your job or about finding a new relationship. You can think of your life, think of any areas where you experience resistance. that's a really good indicator that like you're dragging your feet, you're not wanting to do something. That's a really good indicator that there's subconscious misalignment there, misalignment between what your subconscious believes is safe and wants and what you consciously want. So let me give you some more examples of indicators that there's a subconscious block going on somewhere. And what I mean by subconscious block is that typically it's something that makes you feel stuck.
Starting point is 00:18:15 You're like, okay, I know I want this. but I'm not really doing anything to make it happen or I'm doing a ton of work to make it happen and I'm making zero progress like the whole spinning the wheels effect. And that indicates that there's that gap between what you consciously want and what your subconscious believes is safe and good. So, okay. The first one is self-sabotage. When we sabotage ourselves, and I've done this, it's honestly wild to me.
Starting point is 00:18:42 I'm so aware of all this and I still self-sabotage. but I'll give you an example within my business. So for about, I would say about eight months ago, I kind of hit a plateau in my business where my revenue was just pretty standard or like staying the same. Static. Static's the word I'm looking for. It was pretty static. And I wanted it to increase, but I couldn't figure out why and I was trying all these different things, yada, yada, yada. And then I was like, okay, there's something going on here because I'm putting in a ton of effort and I'm not seeing results. So there's something energetically subconsciously that I need to shift. So of course I did rewiring sessions on myself.
Starting point is 00:19:18 I literally use the vault that's available within my program. There's about 50 different subconscious rewiring sessions in there where I guide you through everything step by step. I used that on myself. So I did two of those sessions. And then the next month, my revenue in my business tripled, literally tripled. And I saw, I was like, oh my gosh, literally all the answers were already right here, what I need to do to change my business.
Starting point is 00:19:40 It was already laid out for me. I didn't even have, I actually could work less and create better results. That's how, this is that whole self-sabotage thing. I often think of it as it's like we have blinders on when we have these subconscious blocks. So think of it as if like you're walking around a room and you have blinders on and you can't really see, so you're kind of feeling around. And then you take the blinders off and you see everything so clearly. That's what happens when you clear out this gunk in the mind, this old programming that is creating these internal conflicts. cheating the same unwanted habits or patterns over and over and over again, that's a subconscious process because your subconscious will override your conscious mind. So if the two conflict, your subconscious is like, sit down, take a seat, I got this. Like it will take charge. If you hit a plateau and you are having a hard time getting over that plateau, if you are feeling irrationally emotional in a situation, triggered, basically, if you're feeling stuck or directionless, reliving the same uncomfortable thoughts, feelings, or memories, those are all indicators of subconscious blocks. And when I talk to somebody, I literally can tell within 10 minutes, like what is blocking someone? Because I've looked for this stuff.
Starting point is 00:20:51 I've seen it so many times because it will show up your subconscious blocks. They're not, they're difficult for you to find because the mind that created them is unlikely to be the mind that reveals them. That's why coaching is so important. I still have my coaches because I can't always see my own blocks because it's like trying to see the back of your head. You can't see it, right? So in order to be able to see these things, it's valuable to have other people giving you that insight. So let's talk about how we go about rewiring the subconscious mind. And before I go into that, I want to just share more of the benefits of this because it is the most powerful thing that you can do. When you create that alignment between what you consciously want and what your subconscious
Starting point is 00:21:37 believes is possible for you, you feel significantly less resistance. It's easy to take actions. Oh, this is what I was going to say earlier, is that your subconscious blocks will always show up in your language, the way you speak. It will show up in the way you think. It will also show up in your behaviors. And if you start to analyze them, you will start to see some of them. But it's so helpful to have somebody to guide you.
Starting point is 00:22:01 that's when my clients create such incredible progress because we do this work on a weekly basis, and they can do it even more with the vault. Because the more that you clear these things out, especially if you've never done it, the more your reality will change. You will feel happier. It'll be easier to feel happier because the way you can think of it is in your mind, these different limiting beliefs, these different subconscious blocks are like computer tabs that are open on your computer. And let's say you have 50 tabs open on your computer. how nice your computer is, it is going to run slower with all those 50 tabs open, right? So with each rewiring session, we close down those old tabs and we sweep out all that old gunk so that way
Starting point is 00:22:42 your operating system in your mind can run more smoothly. So you'll feel more focused. You'll feel more present. You'll feel much more connected to your intuition. You will be able to take action on things that scared you before. A lot of my clients come to me because they have a fear of being seen in the public eye. And what I mean by that is showing up on social media, you know, putting their big vision out there. Maybe they want to be a coach. Maybe they want to write a book. Maybe they want to create a product. I have a lot of authors that I've worked with. But they fear putting their work into the world because it can be rejected, right? That's a very subconscious process. A lot of these things that kind of trigger our survival response are the subconscious processes going on. And so when we do this
Starting point is 00:23:23 rewiring work, I've had so many clients who manifest like out of nowhere these operations. opportunities. Like so many. I've had clients manifest, movie premieres, film pilots getting funded, winning writing contests. I've had clients reach tons and tons of views on social media, even myself included. I grew my following from doing this kind of work. And because these processes are clearing out that fear response. So you're you're no longer on a subconscious level energetically communicating. Oh my God, don't look at me. I'm scared. Right. I'm uncomfortable with being seen. Don't look at me. When you clear that out and you become comfortable with that, then you can attract in those opportunities. Because the thing is, people think that they need to create the opportunities and that they need to go out and find them.
Starting point is 00:24:09 And there is part of that, but also these opportunities want to find you. And so if you're blocking them on a subconscious level because there's fears associated with them, then it's harder for them to come to you. It won't be a vibrational match. And as we know, with manifestation, like attracts like. So if you want to attract that vibration of a growing your social media following, but you fear it, it's going to be an energetic disconnect. But even further downstream from that, you're not going to show up for it. So I want to give you a little acronym. So this is an acronym that I created to help identify subconscious blocks. So it's called tier. T, E-A-R. T is thoughts, E as emotions, A as actions, R as results.
Starting point is 00:24:51 So what you would do with that is you would start with our the result that you are currently getting. Then you'll go upstream and you'll look at, okay, what are the thoughts I have around that result? So maybe your result is you're in debt, but you don't want to be in debt. So you look at what are your thoughts around money? What are your emotions around money? What are your behaviors around money? I guarantee you will see why you are in debt. Same with somebody who has really good finances.
Starting point is 00:25:18 If they look at that train, I'm sure they will see why. they have really good finances. So these things are difficult for us to see because we're creating them. That's why coaching is so valuable because it's a mirror held up to you. But you can see these things and then we rewire them. And in my group and what I do with my clients is I guide you to identify these things and rewire them. And what's so cool is it's easy. It's actually very easy to rewire these things. Most people just have no idea how. So then they just let them live in their brain forever. So the way that we do it within my group is at the beginning of the session, I'll guide you to identify the block through specific questioning. And then we will feel it in our body. And most people, it'll feel like a 10, meaning 10 out of 10, it feels very strong, it feels very true.
Starting point is 00:26:06 It might cause a physical response for them. Then we will do the rewiring work, which is a combination of very specific language that I use to speak to the subconscious mind, metaphors, symbolism, tapping, to call more. the nervous system, right? Breathing exercises, a little bit of energy work in order to calm the nervous system. Then 10 minutes later, a lot of people will be at a five. Then 10 more minutes later, it'll be at a zero. Meaning when it goes from a 10 to a zero, that means there's no emotional charge on that belief anymore. So maybe the belief is it's hard for me to make money. Let's say that's the one that we used. So when that no longer has an emotional charge, it's no longer true for you. your mind is not creating that reality. Because the thing to note is when something in our body and our energetic field holds an
Starting point is 00:26:55 emotional charge, emotions are magnetic. So it is attracting experiences to prove that to be true because it's like little magnets in your energetic field. One of them says money is difficult for me to make. Then you're going to attract a reality that proves that to be true. But when you neutralize that, then you are able to attract, you are able to imprint a new reality. And really, that's the last step is what everybody thinks are manifestation methods is actually the last step. The scripting, the affirmations, the visualization. Those are all great. But if you have a
Starting point is 00:27:28 bunch of conflicting beliefs below the surface, it's going to take significantly longer, if ever, for those tools to actually work. So with my clients, we do those tools after we have neutralized the emotion and cleared it out in the subconscious. What we're really doing is we're making the subconscious feel like it's safe to let that belief go and safe to believe something else. Because safety is the love language of the subconscious mind. So in those sessions, the sessions all look different. We use different tools and different processes. And really, the method that I use is not something I've seen anybody else used because I've done a ton of this work. So I blend together different tools and different methods. So what I call mine is the elevated subconscious rewiring
Starting point is 00:28:11 method. We use elements of tapping. We use elements of RRT. We use elements of NLP. We use elements of energy work. And that is really kind of how it flows in order to neutralize those old beliefs. So very, very, very powerful stuff. And the side effect is a regulated nervous system, significantly less anxiety, happier, calmer, less tension, better money reality, manifesting the things you want. Like, I really hope if you get anything from this episode, it's that your subconscious mind is creating your reality and the more that you learn to work with it, the more powerful you will be. And that's why I love my group because we do these sessions on a weekly basis. So every single week, we're clearing out a new layer because something to know is healing is an
Starting point is 00:28:57 ongoing process and that's actually a really good thing. Because if your mind was to show you right now every single thing you need to heal from this life and past lives, it would be very overwhelming. like it could shut a person down. So that's why it's great to do it on a regular basis. A lot of my clients who join my program, they come into our alumni program, which means they get continued access to everything because they love being able to do this work because the more of it that you do, the higher and higher and higher level that you will reach. And you start to realize like, damn, I'm unlimited. Like I can create anything I want in this lifetime. It might not look exactly like what I picture, but it's going to be,
Starting point is 00:29:38 even better. And then we add in all of the spiritual laws of co-creation and then it becomes so, so, so powerful. So yeah. So I'll give you a little recap of kind of how the subconscious rewiring process works. So first, we identify what the block is. And I do that through journaling. You can also do it through conversation with someone who can help you kind of reflect that back to you. So through conversation, through my program, we do it through journaling. Then we neutralize the emotional charge on that. So we clear out that emotional charge through different processes that we use. And then we rewrite it. So we choose some method.
Starting point is 00:30:16 It might be visualization, scripting, affirmations. My favorite really, I would say, is scripting or visualization. We will also do things like mirroring, meaning I will put people into a breakout room and then they will share what their new belief is as if it's already come true. Because that works on so many levels because you're verbalizing it, you're hearing it, and then you're having somebody else reflect it back to you. So that other person is very excited for you for this new belief. So very, very powerful stuff.

Starting point is 00:31:07 I wish that it existed when I started doing this work over 10 years ago because I wouldn't have wasted so much time. It wouldn't take me 10 years to get here. But, you know, we all have to go our paths, right? But these kinds of things work on fear of failure, fear of visibility, fear of being seen, fear of abandonment, a fear of not being good enough, not being lovable, feeling stuck, self-sabotage, procrastination, all of these different things that are kind of those more core things that we experience.
