Starting point is 00:00:00 When getting into an artist, like, Anuel, I think you have to state that he's been running the charts for quite some time now. I mean, he's had hits like Aatro Drago, which I don't even know if that's how you pronounce it, but that's one of the tracks. He's also had a track called Secrito and La Jepita. I don't even, hey, I'm completely butchering the pronunciation, but y'all get what I'm saying. He has another track called Bebe that peaked at number 32 on Hot 100. And the reason I say he's running the charts is basically because in the Latin community and especially on the Latin charts,
Starting point is 00:00:35 he's usually in the top three as far as his respective singles go. And he's probably one of the most, not probably, he is, because I'm not saying like the most popular, but he's one of the most popular Latin trap artists in the world. And he's very respected in his field,
Starting point is 00:00:54 which is why when you put up those type of numbers, you get these type of collaborations with the likes of quabo so quavius came uh to feature on an annual track and it's titled baby and is produced by dj lewan louis and imabo kings once again pronunciations is crazy right now but hey i'm trying my best and then also um throughout the track i was listening to it because i really do like most of annuel's music but this track specifically was not it for me Like, I think the beat and Cuevo's lyrics did not match at all. Like, I felt like they got to a point where the beat did not match Cuevo. And if you notice in the midst of Cuevo's verse, they changed it to a more organic hip-hop style of beat.
Starting point is 00:01:42 And then it goes back to the original beat for the track baby. So I believe that when Cuevo was recording this, I don't know if he was just not feeling the beat at all or if he was having a little bit of trouble. but it seemed like the way he was rapping didn't really fit the beat so the beat kind of tried to fit him and overall i think it was just a wasted opportunity i do believe that the annual and quavo track could go crazy but this one was not it i listened to it and i felt like charlemagne charlemagne the guide i felt like when he was in the studio listening to i forget who was rapping i think it was uh jack harlowe or something i forget who it was but basically he was like nah that ain't it I think it was Safari, like Nikki's ex-boyfriend.
Starting point is 00:02:26 But basically, it was trying to freestyle the hardest. And at the end of it, Charlemagne was just like, nah, that ain't it. So, yeah, that's completely my sentiments with this track. It's just not it. As far as Anuel as a Latin artist, I do believe that he's one of the more talented. I've been more accustomed to certain artists recently
Starting point is 00:02:48 because of the immense support from the Latin community, which I definitely appreciate, you know, I'll look at my, I don't look at my analytics all the time, like, oh, I need to put up just many numbers, but I do like to see which y'all prefer to listen to. And Paiso Pluma was one of those type of artists. I really did and do, like his music, later on, I'm going to cover one of his tracks, which is straightfire that dropped today. And I feel like that was a much more organic Latin trap style than this. Like, this could have been way, this could have been much better.
Starting point is 00:03:23 It's just unfortunate that the beat and the way that Quavel comes on was very mediocre. It wasn't trash, it wasn't bad, it's just very mediocre and of course Annuel does this thing but I don't understand what he's saying. I usually go for the melodies and the vibe and how the actual production sounds and that all sounded solid but then when Quable came on you obviously could tell that this was not the best fit. So click my link to your in my bio let me know one of my social medias. What do you think about the first ever track between Anuel and Cuevo and do you think it was fire or trash?
