Starting point is 00:00:00 Getting into the final track on Ariana Grande's deluxe addition to Eternal Sunshine, there's one thing about Hampstead that definitely stood out. And I could see why it was used as a marketing strategy as far as letting the people know how she was coming on this track. As when you get into Hampstead and you realize that she said, I'd rather be dead. I'd rather be seen and alive than dying by your. a point of view.
Starting point is 00:00:32 Now, also, she went on to say, threw away my reputation, but save us more heartache. Yes, I know it seems messed up because it's a PG podcast. We take out the, you know, we take out the provocative words in hearing.
Starting point is 00:00:48 You know, we can't be cussing. It seems messed up. And you're right. But quite frankly, you're still wrong about everything. Now, of course, course, this is very interesting because if you don't know, and for my Ariana Grande fans out there, just know that this track obviously is reflecting Grande's time living in
Starting point is 00:01:10 Hampstay neighborhood of North London while filming the movie Wicked. So one thing I love is when artists put their life into the music, because now you make the music unique because it's always greater as a musician to tell your story rather than someone else's because people gravitate to you for the authenticity. If they realize that it's fake and what you're saying in these tracks in somebody else's life, then you lose all sorts of authenticity elements to your music, which overall lowers the quality. So when you're getting to her stay in North London filming the movie Wicked, which ended up being wicked, you know, pun intended on the movie charts, grossing over 744 million globally,
Starting point is 00:01:57 and receiving over 10 Academy Award nominations to the point where, to the point where Ariana Grande made her Oscar nominated debut in Wicked. Isn't that insane? So anyways, with this album, with this track, Hampstead, it definitely capitalizes off of her stay filming for the Wicked movie. And she has came out and said herself, that is her favorite song she's ever written. And the sentiment she shared during an appearance on the show. up Evan podcast back in July 9th, 2024.
Starting point is 00:02:31 So she Ben knew that this was a banker. She was just like, you know what, I'm going to wait, give them a six pack and put this as the six one, ending off the deluxe edition because she knew how hard this was going to hit and definitely highlighting some of the things that she was going through, especially when she was talking about her life as she said that she wanted to highlight Hamstead Heath. didn't talk, noting its abundance in dogs, especially Vs, yes, what in the world? I don't know what that is. I ain't going to lie to you.
Starting point is 00:03:08 Let me let Jarvis read this off just so the dog lovers out there can know what I'm talking about. All right. So y'all heard that? I'm not, I can't repeat. I don't even know what she said. Vislas? I don't even know what that is. But she basically talking more about the neighborhood and the song lyrics saying, quote,
Starting point is 00:03:26 I left my heart at a pub and Hampstead and I misplaced my mind in a good way threw away my reputation but saved us more headache which you know is the previous line I was talking about now of course since since this is me doing a deep dive into the deluxe edition there's no need to talk about the certain labels put on ariana let's just say if she takes a liking to a certain person she may not care if that person already has a significant other all right let's just let's keep going so musically this is an emotional ballet i love how she's getting into a life talking about the uh certain reflections that she's having and you know with this being one of her more favorite tracks that she's ever written
Starting point is 00:04:09 fans across are really going to start pointing out more of the poignant lines that she has in the track because of course this is meant to encapsulate her stay and hamstead during her filming of the wicked movie which ended up being one of the more successful movies of this year especially we see how huge conglomerates such as Disney is just straight up flopping and bombing without uh with movies such as snow white right so with that being said you know this transformative chapter in ariano grande's career being captured and there's one singular track that's the end of a deluxe edition that's 19 tracks long it's just completely poetic and just goes along with me saying and continuing to give the high praise of ariano grande being one of the more talented vocalists i've ever seen in
Starting point is 00:04:52 life and maybe the greatest vocalist of all time so that being said click my link to you in my bio let me know on one of my social medias what do you think about ariana grande's track hampstead and at the end of the day if you've listened to the deluxe edition of eternal sunshine what is your favorite track out of the six new tracks
