Starting point is 00:00:03 You know what's funny. I actually listened to this entire album. Now, how in the world was I able to do that when it just came out? Well, ladies and gentlemen, let me tell you something. This album is a whopping 35 minutes and 33 seconds. So, yeah, I've listened to the whole thing while I was getting ready to review this album. And when I reviewed the album, but basically looking up the little tip bits I needed to cover the new music that came out. So I listened to the album.
Starting point is 00:00:30 And I'm not going to lie to you. I enjoyed it. You know, I think Ariana Grande is probably the greatest singer, the greatest voice I've ever heard. So then that's like talent wise, versatility, sonically, everything. Ariana is just, I'm not going to say leaps or bounds because that's disrespectful. You know, you still got the, who else? You still got the, who be singing? I'm tripping.
Starting point is 00:00:59 You still got the Adele's, you know what I'm saying? who really has a great voice i mean biance i would say taylor but nah i'm talking about like a lot of versatility and range i mean you know there's mylie the scissor a r a lennox okay so basically ariana's the top number one for me as far as the best voice i've ever heard so when you get into some of the music is more of a i would say a vibe than actual uh a structured album because of course sonically is what's going well the sonics are going to drive the quality of the album but the biggest thing is that the title eternal sunshine is very interesting as she's given the total opposite to all of the girls whose man she's taken away from them so
Starting point is 00:01:58 whenever the track listing comes out and then you see the boy is mine you already know that track is going to be fired the boy is mine followed up with yes and it's almost like taking your man and then acting like you should not care you know like if you question her about it she'd be like yes and then and like literally it just seems like a continuation of the type of vitriol that she she just spews subconsciously because she's taking everybody's man so why am I talking about that? Well, this album came out 13 tracks and it's only 35 minutes. So there's really nothing else to talk about. I'm going to give my own review since I've listened to the album of specific tracks, but just to give an overview of my favorite tracks, the true story all the
Starting point is 00:02:51 way to yes-and is my favorite run in the album. So that three-track run is my favorite run in the album. And as far as all the tracks I enjoyed, I enjoyed about six off of the album, and that's 13 tracks. So you can do with that what you will. For the Ariana fans out there, y'all probably enjoy more of the tracks off of the album, but for me, you know, it's only so much how do I say this?
Starting point is 00:03:17 Expounding on certain actions and just certain feelings. There's only so much of that I can take because as a man, you know, I like to hear certain topics from women and that puts them in a box.
Starting point is 00:03:33 from my perspective so obviously from your perspective it's probably a lot more that she could talk about and you can resonate with it hopefully it makes sense you know as a straight male i can only resonate with so much so i think the album as a whole is solid but the overall point i wanted to get into with this project being super short is i don't know if arianda's heart is still in music that's basically why i wanted to cement as my point because but this is track with this project being 35 minutes and the entire body of work being 13 tracks it just seems like you're hitting quotas to where you're giving universal music something that they have to count as a project i said the same thing with young boy i know ariana fans probably don't even
Starting point is 00:04:24 listen to actually they may listen to young boy anyways um and be a young boy just put out a album and the reason why I'm comparing the two, they're under the same label, UMG. So I think contractually, the 35 minute mark with 13 songs has to mean something because they both have it under UMG March 8th. I think it's the quota they had to hit
Starting point is 00:04:50 for young boy. He puts out music more often. For Ariana Grande, not so often. I mean, her last album was like in 2022, I believe. So I think this album is a quote of here. I don't think this is something that her heart's still in. Maybe she wants to get more to acting, which I know she's in some upcoming movie, I believe.
Starting point is 00:05:14 But overall, I just don't believe that this actual... Did y'all know, the boy is mine, which is... Okay, sorry, that was total harsh transition. But basically, I don't think the actual... quality it showcases that Ariana's heart still at it because she sounds amazing of course but I think she just turned in a project that she knew will be counted by universal I don't really think she she wanted just to be like her oh this my best album I don't think it's one of those so anyways let me get back into my harsh transition so did y'all know that the boy
Starting point is 00:05:51 is mine is a reimagined version of brandy and monica's classic 1998 song of the same name the more you know so anyways click my link tree in my bio let me know one of my social medias because that was my favorite track the boy is mine so let me know if you've listened to the entire album which is you know super short so you should be able to um eternal sunshine what is your favorite track currently
