You know, there's a saying that people will like you to make your apology as loud as the disrespect.
Because as far as your apology needing to be as loud as the disrespect was, we all know that in today's society, that is almost impossible.
For the most part, a lot of people who make content in this generation is, for the most part, trying to find the optimal way to garner.
attention and what is that pathway like what's the easiest pathway to that of course the hate
on things so of course that the apology would never be as loud as to disrespect that's why over
here at the notorious mass of fate we love to look at the objective analytics because of course
ubysoff actually has a w with assassin creed shadows now when it comes to a w um specifically talking
about Assassin
Creed Shadows becoming
the second highest day one
sales in
Assassin Creed history
only falling short to
Assassin's Creed Valhalla
Now of course for day one
the concurrent player count
well just a player count was over one million
Day two it exceeded
over two million
and looking at the charts currently
it is not
in the top 15 as far as Steam
but the 24-hour peak is still pretty healthy as of it being, I think it's two, three days out.
It's around 44,000 as far as it's 24-hour peak.
And then when it comes to PlayStation, it's the most popular game on PlayStation.
And then Xbox is very interesting because you look at Xbox and you come to realize,
how does Assassin Crease Shadows and Assassin Crease Shadows digital not combine when it comes to the charts?
but they have it as two separate games.
So technically,
Assassin Creed is the second most play game on Xbox,
but the Deluxe Edition is the fifth most play game.
So on totality,
I'm just going to go and say that objectively speaking,
Assassin Creed Shadows is probably the most popular game currently on consoles.
Now, that being said,
the controversy surrounding this game,
the controversy surrounding Ubisoft,
I've covered thoroughly to those,
point where back in December 11th,
2024, Ubisoft shares fell 17% after it delayed the launch of new Assassin's Creed game.
Now, of course, as far as me saying, December 11th, 2024, I'm talking about when I covered
this specific topic.
So if you look that up, you'll see my coverage of that.
But essentially, I was going over the Goulmont family, hopefully I'm pronouncing that right,
the founders of Ubisoft, if you didn't know that, the Goulmont family is the founders of
Ubisoft and then of course their partner in crime well not crime but you know their partner in this
fiasco as tinsent a significant shareholder both of them was contemplating on moving Ubisoft private
following a year marked by financial downturns and unsuccessful game releases now of course the way
I started out the segment you would think I'm talking about the guillmont family and a tinsent
company of course not it's a lot of people out here because
notice I mentioned content. I didn't really talk about Tencent and the Guelmont family
disrespecting Ubisoft. So it seemed like they were disrespecting Ubisoft at the time
because we didn't know they was cooking up this game. Right. So when they delayed it,
Tencent, Guelmaugh family basically was saying that, hey, y'all don't know what you're doing.
Y'all haven't made a good game in a while. I mean, to their, you know, to play devil's
advocate or basically to co-sign what they were saying, to put.
without the first ever Star Wars
Open World game.
I repeat.
The first ever
Open World Star Wars game.
And it flops.
I mean, that's just a
ginormous flop.
That is one of the more pivotal
flops that we've seen in gaming
history. Because some people
have to realize that licensing
IP is very
expensive, right? So you hope
that in return,
the ROI would be at a certain metric.
And guess what?
Outlaws didn't hit any of the metrics.
So when it comes to Assassin Creed shadows,
they realized that this was the last hurrah
to let the Gourmet family in Tenson know
that, hey, we actually know what we're doing
and we know how to put out a successful game
because it didn't matter if this game was phenomenal, right?
Quality set to the side.
I always say if you sell a lot,
does not mean you make high quality.
Just because you don't sell means you make below average.
as far as quality, right?
The two don't correlate.
Sometimes it does.
So, Creed or Shadows could have came out and could have been a phenomenal game
and not sold as well.
And guess what?
Goulmont family and Tencent would have still took over because they're basically,
they was basically proven right as far as Ubisoft not being able to sell games anymore.
So with that being said, and Assassin Creed, I wasn't the only thing.
When that got delayed, when outlaws flop, when X-de-Flegged, when X-D,
Remember that game?
When that game got shut down by Ubisoft, which was the Call of Duty killer, you know,
as far as completely shutting that game off where I don't think they've done it yet.
I think they're doing it June 2nd.
Yeah, June 2nd, 2025.
Yeah, so we still got some time.
But yeah, they're shutting down on X-Define.
So I'm sorry for the X-Define players out there from bringing you bad news abruptly.
But, hey, June 2nd, 2025, just prepared to be disappointed.
But like I said, the apology needs to be as loud as the disrespected.
that specific point was targeting targeting the grifters basically showcasing a lot of inaccurate
a lot of historical and inaccurate points in the game because when it comes to Yoske he has an actual
background when it comes to the history right and Ubisoft tweaked it a little bit to give him
more of a status in the game but obviously people
people pointing out historical accuracy in a way that is very hypocritical for a video game that's
based on superpowers and Assassin Creep people using magic and things of that nature, right?
But all of a sudden when a black man is in Japan, when that's actually happened in history,
they have a problem with them taking some liberties to give them some powers. Ain't that?
Ain't that crazy? Anyways. So that being said, Ubisoft, them putting out Assassin Creek shadows
happened March 20th, 2025. Of course, it's published by Ubisoft, developed by Ubisoft Hubek.
As far as the setting, it's the 16th century feudal Japan. Now, if you was wanting to get into
this game, just know there's a lot of stealth elements, but technically, there's an option to where
you can have instant assassination and it makes the game a lot easier. I like playing stealth
games with that on because I don't want to sneak up on somebody and then automatically get blocked.
Like, I know it's for the higher levels, but what if I want to turn on instant assassination and go to
the highest level and test my stealth, right? So it's a lot of different ways to play this game.
I've put about 10 to 15 hours, maybe even 20 hours at this point because I've been playing
offstream. This game is phenomenal. At the start, I was a little hesitant because the frame rate
was, let's just say, struggling at best, right? When I got a PS5 Pro, the performance aspect was a lot
better. It was night and day as far as pro and PS5. I think Assassin Cree Shadows is the first game.
I seen a noticeable improvement
when I switched to performance mode
in a game.
Because split fiction, another game
now I'm playing,
shameless plug, my live stream, analytic dreams,
whether you're on Twitch, kick, Twitter,
any of my YouTube platforms, I'm going live on those.
But anyways,
when it comes to split fiction,
I can't really tell a difference
between the pro and the PS5.
Now, when it comes to
Assassin Creas shadows,
I'm not going to say that they locked it
at 30 frames per second
on PS5 because that's what somebody in my chat said.
I don't know if that's correct.
That's what he said.
Let's just say it was a noticeable improvement.
It was a noticeable improvement going from the base PS5 performance mode to the PS5
pro performance mode.
That was a noticeable difference in the frame rate.
So that being said, there's still some bugs and glitches like at the beginning area,
your little hub area that like stutters with frame rate.
But when you get out into the open world, it goes back up.
So I think that's just a bug.
but with that being said like i was saying earlier shadows is doing phenomenal on the charts the most
play game on both consoles it's not in the top 15 on steam as far as most popular games but it does have
a 24 hour peak of 44 000 so that means people are still playing a game so uh their peak
when it comes to overall analytics via steam db they they had 64 000 concurrent players so
safe to say a lot of people are enjoying this game and when it came to the uncertainty of if this is a high quality game or not
Ubisoft actually delivered a solid game and for that the amount of coverage I've had basically hinting at Ubisoft may
facing being taken over by the Guilmont family and tinsent got to clap it up for a developer bouncing back
like Jordan 4-5, right?
Because obviously we're not saying that Ubisoft is in their prime.
We just want them to put out a good game.
So when Michael Jordan came back with the 45 jersey, right,
and he started dropping 30, 40 points,
he was like, okay, that's old Michael Jordan,
like, you know, showing flashes of prime,
but it's not technically in their prime, right?
Because all jokes aside,
if Ubisoft ended up putting out this game
and they flop.
Not only was the Goulmont family in Tenson going to make this stock private,
make the Ubisoft stock private,
because basically it was reported by Bloomberg,
I believe, that if they went private,
then it would increase in evaluation.
I'm trying to see if I had that actual state.
Yeah, okay.
So Bloomberg reported that the potential privatization would,
raise
Ubisoft's stock price
by over 31%.
That is why
the Goulema family of
Tinson was about to take over
because it was like, hey,
you're spending our money
for these expensive IPs such as Star Wars
and putting out phenomenal flops
like the most phenomenal flop
we've ever seen.
Like the first ever open world
Star Wars game and you completely
missed the metrics on
on every scale, right?
So,
when it's
comes to the shareholders, they was concerned, right?
And so they was going to take it private.
And there was pressure mounting in Ubisoft.
And meanwhile, Tencent, who was growing in the company because they have like 9.2% of the voting rights
and the Goulmont family has 20.5%.
So you can see how that could raise a lot of people to take over the direction of the company.
Let's just leave it like that.
So me personally, I wanted to play Assassin Creek Shadows because one, it says,
Japan. I know you're probably saying like Ghost of Tashima games like that, right? Why
you ain't play those games? Well, I wanted to play Assassin Creek Shadows in Japan. So the main
reason is I'm not familiar with the Assassin Creek franchise, but and I even said this on stream,
as far as me playing games, I've always said that Assassin Creed franchise and Gears franchise,
I feel like I missed out on as far as a gamer. So me hopping into the franchise is going to happen
at some point and whenever gears put out a day i'm hopping on that game as well so it's just
getting back into franchises that feel like i missed out on and they did say throughout the history
of time a lot of assassin cree fans wanted a game set in japan so now not only do you have a setting
that assassin creed fans been clamoring for not only do you have the pressures of the gourmet family
and tinsent but now you combine that with yoske i mean the amount of anticipation
depending like no matter where it went the anticipation was built to a level that it was
mom spaghetti type beat and ubsaw studios right there was a lot of pressure and they delivered so
that needs to be said that they are not out of the blue yet they still got you know it's just one
it's just one game it's very successful but we need a track record to believe them we we we
now have hope that they can make a great game but it took a lot of pressure to get to that point
so anyways for those who's wondering assassin kreed shadows has two protagonists now yoske is the
person i've been saying that's the black guy in this game um i wonder if i could find let me see
so basically this is what yoske looks like right here so this is how yoske looks
analytic dreams video on Spotify to see the video along with the audio but essentially yoske is a black
man in japan and when i tell you that brought out all the races known the man i was flabbergasted
oh like is this 1950 anyways so anyways uh with that being said people is crazy as far as their
takes on this game simply because of yoske because for the most part i'm not going to spoil anything
but for the most part at the very beginning
beginning, Ne'Oe is the main character. Yeah, that's not spoiling too much. So I think people are just
upset at the notion of a black man being in Japan because of, but because they didn't pay attention
to the actual gameplay mechanics, because if you don't know, as far as Neoey, and like I said,
I played the game for a good, for, you know, good portion of time by this point of the review.
So Neoey is more stealth oriented. Y'all
is more of a tank you cannot do a lot of the things exploration-wise with yoske that you could do with nei
especially the uh figure what you call it's like the perch point or whatever when you hop on and it looks
around a whole map or whatever it's like a look at my graphics type moment basically you can't reach
a lot of the heights with yoske and transverse in the environment is a lot more enjoyable with
with Nioi and for me I play games for stealth I play
cyberpunk splinter cell I'm just naming some of my like top tier
stealth games that I've enjoyed and when it comes to stealth I really enjoy the
intricacy that goes into level design right so I wanted to play as Nailwee for the
most part a lot of people was just acting like Yoske being included in the game
even though it was two protagonists was just the biggest sin known the man
another thing when it comes to the world dynamics
That was another pivotal thing.
It really plays a factor as far as what season it is,
whether it's frozen lengths, whether it's, uh, uh, what else is it?
So yeah, frozen lengths, uh, there's other things that manipulates the environment.
Oh, when it rains.
Yeah, okay.
So when it storms, right, that helps you sneak around more effectively because people
can't hear you at all.
So, uh, the seasons in this game is a nice change and it really breaks the monotony
because it happens more often than you think, especially if you're,
on the map and fast traveling a lot.
Another thing about this game,
I think the prone crawling
is a cheat code. The way that
Nailwee can just crawl on the ground
and not be seen is
very much a cheat code in the open world
environment. Now of course, other games
have had prone, but apparently
this is a new feature to the Assassin Creek
franchise, so I don't know why they
haven't had prone throughout the series,
but now it's here. So
with that being said,
the game length
is approximately 40 hours for the main story.
Now, if you wanted to complete the thing,
complete the game all the way through,
it would be about 60 to 80 hours.
So with that fact, consider,
with me playing the game,
I feel like I'm on the 60 to 80 hour pathway
because I've been exploring any and everything,
which to show you that I enjoy the game.
I really do like running around as Naomi,
trying stealth.
and of course if I'm in like a under if I'm in the area of the map where the enemies are lower and level or at the same I just crash out and start fighting people but for the most part I like going around the high level maps I think that's my favorite part of it because once again I keep the hot the instant assassination on so I go to high level maps and just run around and just test my stealth skills because if you get caught there's no fighting them it's automatic death literally there's certain enemies
where if they're at a certain level,
higher than you,
there's going to be like a skull
above their head,
meaning that if they hit you once, it's over.
I know, I mean, could you have little, like,
rations or whatever?
You could increase your health
or refill your health,
sort of like Spider-Man PS4.
You can increase your health
after you get hit.
The higher levels, they don't play that.
It's a one-hitter-quitter.
It's the death.
So that being said,
I do enjoy going on.
That's how I enjoy playing the game.
Obviously,
there's other settings for other people you know difficulties and instant assassination things that nature
that's how i like playing the game also getting back into the financial side of things because that's the main
important part right because like i said the guemont and tinsent is is watching this very closely and even
though they see it's a success how are they going to follow this up because if you don't know
essentially the development cost for this game estimated to be 250 million dollars now
when Ubisoft delayed this game, the stocks fell 17%.
So not only do they have to make that up,
but they also have to increase that before the next quarter.
So raising money is a huge concern from Tencent and Guelma family
because they may mess around and let Ubisoft find out that they're going to take over.
You know what I mean?
Like, y'all not going to keep losing this money and that's not have a hostile takeover.
So with that being said, the woke agenda, I feel like all of the grifters, to quote
Trae Young once more, all of the grifters, your apology needs to be as loud as your disrespect
was because it was insane.
Y'all was out here saying the most blasphemous things acting like this ain't a video game.
The way they was talking about Assassin Curry Shadows, you would have thought,
that an institution was putting out a new history book, right?
They was changing one of the history chapters in the entire arc, right?
Instead of it actually being a video game where it's based on fictional characters.
Because if Yoski is a real person, but assassins aren't real as far as Assassin's
Cree, then why aren't you mad that they made Yossack and a part of the Assassin
Creed?
Because technically, Assassin Cree is a fictional.
So y'all being woke over the wrong things, because guess what?
It's a suspension of disbelief type entertainment.
I've never seen a place where they criticize so much for something that's set to be
carefree entertainment.
This is not history class.
We're not in the, you know, we're not in the, uh, Collegiate History books.
This is Assassin Creed.
This is escapism entertainment.
And y'all bringing this woke mindset into criticizing Yaska for being a part of the main
story is ultimately saddening because it sets back gamers.
Because now the perception is like, oh, look, gamers always just whining over anything.
I say something else.
This is a PG podcast.
Gamers are only whining about,
or gamers whining about everything, right?
So whenever we get into gaming,
we have to realize it's not even that serious in the first place.
We are playing escapism content.
It's supposed to be enjoyable and fun.
We're not playing video games to learn the meaning of life.
And people are out here taking it way too far.
So when it comes to Yaske and, you know,
the woke agenda coming out because of, you know,
Yaskay being black in Japan,
And it was very interesting.
Let me just put it like that because it was a just doesn't make sense.
All right.
So it was also mad at other things, but we're not going to get into it.
We're not going to give them too much attention.
It was just a very big deal.
So I had to include that in my review because, you know, I wouldn't be doing the review right
if I didn't talk about how the woke ball played a part into this game.
So when it comes into, let me see, Assassin.
see creed shadows because i think let me see if i could find this okay so like i was saying this game is
doing phenomenal on the charts it's the most play game on console it's around 40 what was it around 44
000 as far as a 24 hour peak on on steam and when it comes to the big conglomerates it's been
critical acclaim throughout the board.
IGN gave this game an 8 out of 10.
GameSpot gave it an 8 out of 10.
PC gamer,
well, I don't even have a score.
Gaming Trend gave it a 10 out of 10.
TechRadar gave it a 9 out of 10.
CG Magazine gave it a 9 out of 10.
And games Radar Plus gave it an 8 out of 10.
So whatever I'm talking about,
Assassin Creek Shadows, it's not like
I'm talking from the standpoint of,
Only I or a few people enjoy the game.
The consensus is that this is a high quality game.
For me, personally, it's a solid game, and I really enjoy it technically.
You know, we're only three months in, but split fiction is still by far the best game I've played in 2025.
That could change, but as of right now, that's how it is.
And obviously, I haven't beat Assassin Creed shadows yet.
So it can end up, I haven't beat split fiction.
I'm towards the end of that game.
By having to be shadows.
I'm towards the beginning of that game.
So, um, my opinion could always be split fiction.
change i'm just telling you right now how i feel so with that being said uh i believe the metacritic
the metacritic is 82 out of 100 and may be higher i know it changes a lot let me see metacritic
assessing because you know i like to get into sales and review roundup so
metacritic okay right now is at 81 but you know essentially people are enjoying the game so
Um, there's something else, that was, what else was I want to get into?
Oh, yeah.
Okay, so Ubisoft is also putting out a DOC expansion for this game titled Clause of Awaji.
Oh, I forgot I had that alert on my fault.
Uh, shout out to Lynn, Lynn, Lynn, 99 for following on Twitch.
I appreciate you.
I'm recording this.
I'm probably not going to edit that out.
Just, you know, let that be a shameless promo to follow me on my live streaming platforms.
I go live.
I try to go live at least three times.
the week but this is a review so i'm gonna get back to it but yeah shout out to linland for following on
twitch so anyways let me uh mute that because i did not when i'm recording i don't like that to pop up
all right um actually i'm just gonna mute this now y'all you can see it pop up all right so
the d oc expansion clause of awaji awahi i don't know hopefully that's uh hopefully one of those
pronunciations was correct that is said to release later in 2025 so it doesn't really have a release date
As far as this game, the lifetime sales are still in question because currently, you know, it's doing phenomenal.
But, you know, another game that was doing phenomenal is nowhere to be found in top 15 on Steam.
Well, actually, it is on 50s.
It's number 15.
How ironic.
Marvel Rivals, one of the more popular games that was released in 2025 and it's not struggling.
But it's hanging on a thread as far as top 15 on Steam, right?
59,000 players concurrently playing in the 24-hour peak of 179,000.
Now, when it comes to console land, right, that's a totally different ballgame as Marvel
Rivals on PlayStation is nowhere to be found.
Once again, this is a free game that's phenomenal, immaculate, I might add.
Xbox, Marvel, well, I don't even know why I check Xbox.
Did y'all know Xbox accounts for like 3% of the total revenue for Marvel rivals?
so i'm like do x-box players like do they just play with their like wallet in another room like how does that work
like they don't want to support it all anyways all right so with that being said um
assassin creed shadows phenomenal game i think whenever i get to the end of it i'll probably have more of a
review or more of a solid score for it because this is my review i think a solid i mean after playing 10 to 20
hours i could probably tell if the game's going to be good or not and could you know you upgrade
and it gets even better because you're learning the systems and things of that nature so
If you want to see me finish the game, once again, shameless plug.
Analytic Dreams video, well, analytic dreams with a Z on Twitch, kick, both my YouTube platforms or Twitter.
And also click my link tree in my bio as it has all the links in there.
But, you know, speaking of a link tree, once again, shameless plug, click my link tree in my bio.
Let me know in one of my social medias.
What do you think about Assassin Creas shadows?
And at the end of the day, did you think the woke mob hurt or helped the overall?
the overall sales of Assassin Creed shadows, ultimately helping them have the second highest day one sales in Assassin Creed history.
