Now, ladies and gentlemen, when it comes to Baby Monster, you're probably thinking to yourself,
who and what is that?
Well, I'm glad you asked, as basically when it comes to Baby Monster,
its origins, which happened back in 2018, post Black Pink 2016, because Black Pink happened
in 2016, so it happened after that in 2018.
YG Entertainment initiated global auditions in 2018 scouting talent as young as 10.
And then
when it comes to Lotto
and her
process of being found
by higher-ups as far as
I think it was Jermaine Dupree that had a show
that Lotto blew up on
and then obviously y'all know Lotto
as of today putting out
tracks that are notoriously
impacting the masses as
I believe one of her tracks
is still going crazy right now
actually none of her tracks are
okay yeah it's not in choice
but when it comes to the Erd Time remix
with Cardi B
I thought that was a pretty solid
track as far as quality level actually i still do you know like i say all the time just because you
sell a lot does not mean you make the uh the the most high quality product and just because you don't
sell does not mean you're making just straight up garbage the two do not correlate sometimes it does
but for the most part quality and engagement do not correlate so i say that all the time because we
cover numbers and analytics as far as these specific games and artists but just wanted to say it once
more. So in getting into Baby Monster, their creation was having YG entertainment initiating global
auditions back in 2018 and thousands applied. And of course, elected trainees average four to five
years of rigorous training and vocals dance performance under YG's DNA style, blending two N.E1's
charisma and black pink's glamour. So that's interesting. More of a, um, you know how people
accuse Bam on the bio and Asia Wilson?
for having a very interesting experiment going on.
Safe to say they're doing this in the musical realm
as having a bunch of a plethora of people show up, right?
And they're basically like,
we need you to go through this four to five year,
rigorous training regiment.
And guess what?
At the end of the day, we're only gonna select,
how many did they select?
Five members, no, no, seven, seven members.
Three from South Korean, two from,
three South Koreans, two,
two Japanese and two, I think you say thigh, a Thai, I think it's Thai.
Yeah, I think I'm tripping with the thigh.
I don't think that's how you're supposed to pronounce it at all.
So it's Thai.
I think it's two from Thai.
And then you come to Chiquita, huh?
I was watching an Italo Perry movie.
Chiquita, sorry, I'm, you know, that's a crazy name, bro.
My fault.
I'm ignorant, my fault.
Don't mind me.
Chiquita joined last in 2021.
with three months of trade.
Hold up now.
Nah, bro.
If I go through four to five years of rigorous training,
every person who makes the list
has to have went through the same process,
unless we're talking about nepotism.
You guys.
See, that's the problem.
How did the world did Jaquita get the expedited training session?
Y'all let me know.
All right, when it comes to that,
they formed together.
And, of course, I remember covering them as a group
all the way back in November 15th of 2024.
And the track was called,
drip. So why did I cover that track? Let me see. So for that specific track on my podcast,
which went crazy, goodness gracious, I guess that was from 24, but still, I appreciate y'all
who enjoy all my different genre covers, but it's not about me. It's not about me. You know
I'm saying? All right. So talking about Baby Monster, I got into, I guess that was their album.
This is an album? Yeah, it was a full-length album that came out November 1st of 2024,
had tracks like Love Maybe, Click, Clack, Drip, Billionaire, Goodness gracious, Click, Click, Click,
sound like a drill song like
like little dirk about to pop out
and all right my fault but then you know what I'm saying
I was like damn look at the state of hip hop like what's
going on and then of course you got the music videos which went
insane because that's one of the things I will give
k-pop in general like they really are very on point
with every single choreography that they put out like I think
k-pop artists obviously you heard the creation process
of baby monster it makes sense now because going to four to five years
of the type of rigorous training that they have
and coming out like they do
as far as music videos it makes sense on why they are as polished as they are because they run them
through the ringer they put them through everything as far as getting them ready for the spotlight
so anyway that's the first time i ever covered them was their album drip and i don't know specifically
how that did i don't think i have the analytics on this one but obviously they did well as they're
still together and still putting out music as i believe if yg entertainment saw the first album and
they was like hey you're not selling enough they would have disbanded a group so
Seems like they're doing well.
So with that being said, I don't think I got into the name.
So the three South Koreans is A, A, A, oh my goodness, I'm going to butcher.
It's so bad.
I think I did say the names.
No, I only said Chiquita, because that one stood out to me.
But the three South Koreans are Ayea, I think they say, Rami and Rora.
The two Japanese is Ruka in Asia.
The two Thai is Frita and Chiquita.
and Shreveita is the one who joined last.
So, of course, they documented the whole event because it was a show, or not show,
but it was like a whole thing that YG Entertainment was running.
And now or not the rapper, YG is a whole South Korean-centric music label.
They basically had a lot of footage, and then they put out a whole film.
And I don't know how that film did, but when it comes to the pre-debut single dream being released,
that the members had a lot of success leading up to that and even to this day as when it comes to
the uh is this a trailer i don't know this is i don't know if this uh this specific video is not the
trailer this is talking about the group but as far as yg stocks it was increased by 11.774
percent by uh black pink not black pink by uh baby monster so
when it comes to YG Entertainment having Baby Monster, I believe after they saw the stocks rise
about 11% they thought to themselves.
I know that ain't who I think it is.
They was like, we got a hit on our hands.
You know, that mean we like, we got them, like we really got them.
I'm giving you the PG version.
That's basically YG Entertainment was saying.
So the main thing I was wanting to do along with already going over the track, because the
specific track that we're going to go over is, what was it, check call?
It's called We Go Up.
specific track came out. Let's see.
You see baby, baby monster. It came out not too long ago.
Baby Monster. Oh man. So many artists with the name Baby in it.
Shout to little baby, dub baby. But Baby Monster, their track, we go up. Oh, actually came out
yesterday. And it was part of a four track EP. So the psycho super duper love and then wild
12 minutes in length and of course
YG Entertainment under license to YG Plus
So the main thing I was going to get across
Especially with this coverage
Is that they're breaking a lot of records
And this specific track is doing well
As when it comes to
There are specific songs
Sheesh is probably doing the best
And it's a hip hop track
It's centrally a hip hop track
And they go all over the place
as far as different genres, but sheesh, the number 10 on Circle Digital Chart,
number nine on Mellon, Hot 100, which is their version of the Billboard.
And then, of course, on Billboard globally, they went to number 23 with Sheesh.
So when it comes to success, they've had success with specific tracks with specific albums
such as DRIP that I covered last year.
But the main thing is showcasing, the main thing I was wanting to get across is that these
overseas artists are making such a notorious impact on the masses, pun intended, to the point where
now you have to start paying attention a lot more because some of your favorite artists are incorporating
some of these sounds into their own music and you would never know if you didn't know the actual
big players in the music industry that's outside of your genre. So sometimes it's good to expand
your palette because guess what? Then you start to realize how certain things connect as far as
in the music industry.
If you don't think that wait for you by Drake in Future
would have been as successful if they didn't have Tim's,
then you're sadly mistaken.
They see this Afrobees culture,
K-pop culture, Latin music culture,
and now they start to see more and more competition
because of the advancement of technology.
I mean, nowadays, you can listen to anybody from anywhere,
which means the competition is at a height
that has never been in music history.
through. So paying attention to these type of things is very beneficial, especially if you was
wanting to be an artist. So with that being said, the main thing I was wanting to get into,
especially with this video that I've had up for this whole time I was talking to analytic dreams
video on Spotify to see the video along with audio. But essentially, we was going to get into
their creation as far as how they became a group. I believe that's what the question was
because I wanted to show you, I wanted you to listen and see, um, exactly.
exactly why they came together.
I didn't correct.
Yeah.
Right.
Faster.
And this was through the last evaluation, correct?
Remember the time that you guys actually all like officially clicked as one?
Well, like actually while we were doing the last evaluation, we didn't know that we were all gonna make it.
So they're talking about the YG show.
Kind of competing, you know?
Weird energy.
Weird.
Weird.
Because like we're close and we know that we're just all like fighting.
We're just all like fighting for the same spot, not knowing if we're gonna make it.
But we...
And forget all that.
I'm trying to know which one is Chiquita.
All right, my fault.
Shepard.
All right, I'm gonna tighten up.
I'm gonna tighten up.
I just gotta know which one's quita.
That's a crazy name.
But hey, to each is on.
Let's keep on.
While we were practicing, like all our personalities really match really well.
And also we all have like different, I guess, kind of positions and what we're good at.
So I think that makes us, you know,
Yeah.
Like, I was cry, actually.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Because I felt like, oh my God, we did it and we made it.
And like, so touch it.
I don't know how to explain, but I was crying a lot.
She was crying.
And oh my God, finally, oh, this is baby monster.
And then, like, everyone is like attractive.
Attractive?
Attractive?
Yeah.
Attractive.
All right, one thing I will say, as far as this group is that, hang, I told lost my train of thought.
What was I talking about with this group?
Oh, yeah, that's what I'm about saying.
So as far as this video, I do appreciate how, and this may sound weird, but, you know, as far as the English language, how they give that off and it's very authentic because some artists don't care that you are only English-centric and they'll say their own language and then there had to be translated, which is nothing wrong.
with that right i just think the main point i'm trying to make is being bilingual has its perks and for them
it seems like that was a emphasis as far as yg putting together this group and you can kind of tell when it
comes across in the interview because now they can easily explain the process of of of baby monster
to the masses who maybe aren't aware of k-pop in general and just the the massive impact that k-pop is
happening because because mind you i've been glazing this uh so much that y'all already people who already
watch notorious mass effect you already know i'm about to talk about but uh k-pop demon hunters ladies
and gentlemen that album is still the second most player album in the world and safe to say i mean you know
taylor swift put and btn on the whole industry but when it comes to uh the second up you would think it was
morgan wallen right morgan walling and k-pop demon hunters have been trading places
ever since those albums came out and so when you see stuff like this you kind of come to realize
that not only
it's K-pop demon hunters
no
not only is K-pop demon hunters
a K-pop creation
but also it's competing with the likes of a Taylor Swift
and Morgan Waller some of the biggest musicians
in the world and of course objectively speaking
they have the number one
and number third most played album
in the world and Morgan Wallens had that
for quite some time. It's October 11th
Morgan Wallen
let me see Morgan Wallen put out his album
he put out his album
I'm the problem
May 16th, 2025.
Ladies and gentlemen
is October 11
and this album
is still the third most play
album in a world
and he looked at Taylor Swift
number one most play album
in the world
and she just sold
a whopping 4 million
copies
first week,
which is still crazy
every time I look at that number.
If you don't know,
the second closest
was Morgan Wallin
as far as first week sales.
He had 490 something thousand.
So as far as Taylor Swift,
you can see how
she's lapping the competition.
But of course,
who's number two,
a K-pop,
creation. So when I look at stuff like baby monster, I look at stuff like black paint, stuff like
new jeans, who else have I covered, BTS and the specific members from BTS, which is John Cook,
whether it's V, I mean, there's a lot of other people under BTS that I could talk about,
that I have talked about specifically just to showcase that different genres is really
increasing the amount of market share that they're having in the music landscape, which I don't think
it should scare anybody who's had certain markets here, like a pop or hip hop.
But safe to say when it comes to hip hop specifically in the year of 2025, I think it's
time to start to look in the mirror and see how you can affect the masses because other
genres are figuring out much quicker than you in today's day and age as far as technology.
So anyways, let's get back into the explanation.
Oh my God, this is baby monster. Oh, my God. I'm so excited.
You're so pretty.
What?
What?
You guys have great energy.
Can we break that down?
Let's look at Baby Monster as like one big puzzle.
What is each one of your pieces?
Oh, okay.
And you want to start?
Laura?
Yeah, let's go.
You've been quiet.
Aw.
Okay.
I'm always kind of
kind of
kind of
or
members of
together
together
to move
that
very important
specifically
somebody has to
organize the team
yeah
keep everybody in their role
and check
yeah
because like seven people
quite
quite a lot
so
so
like Laura like
like mommy
like mommy
Oh, like, one person
Oh, like,
like, seven people
mowing uprored,
then one person
and then
and then
and then
and then
is she, yeah.
Okay, you are next.
Yeah, okay.
Oh, two microphones.
Okay, so if you was
wanting to see the full video,
obviously you can see right here,
a shout to the Zach Singh
show.
I'm highlighting it right now,
just in case you have to see.
Trying to zoom in, there we go.
So Zach,
uh,
saying show, shout to them.
And their baby mom
the interview definitely got into the a lot as far as you know 26 minutes so you know breaking down
what each of them individually offers if you want to see the full thing this is where it's at so
um the main thing i was wanting to get into was definitely the song but also i wanted to you
y'all to see the group and hear them talk about like just the different personalities and what
happened as far as how they came together because as you know as you heard from them uh them
you heard from the source themselves they was basically saying it was a grueling process and you know
know they had to compete with each other so it makes sense and i think yg entertainment having their
stocks rise by 11 what was it 11.74 let me see what was that basically uh having it
um baby monster boosting yg entertainment stock by 11.74 percent definitely showcases why they
go through this rigorous process because it ends up paying off in the long run so with that being said
click my link show in my bio let me know on one of my social medias what do you think about baby mom
current song title we go up and if you haven't been paying attention to the k-pop
ecosystem what artists do you think would be the first k-pop musician you listen to
