Getting back into Bad Bunny as far as him completely dominating the Latin music landscape,
we have to talk about the totality of themes because currently Little Baby has the most played
album in the world with his album Wham. Now, to be fair, Bad Bunny is number two, but when it
comes to overall streams as far as Billboard is considered, it's very interesting how
Bad Bunny has 18 tracks on the charts right now. And Little
baby currently has 12 tracks on the charts.
So that is very interesting from a first week sales standpoint because if something's being
consumed more, but then the first week sales come out to be on the person who seemingly
is not streaming as much on the charts than the other person.
Some will call foul play as far as their major machine kind of working behind the scenes
to make the perception a little better as far as from a bot standpoint.
Because we're not like B-O-T, B-O-U-G-H-T.
No one to get sued, right?
You don't want a little baby turn into Aubrey Graham.
But anyways, bad bunny.
And his output consistently is larger than little babies on the charts.
So as far as the first week sales, that's why I'm pulling into account how
crazy it is how
little baby
won the first week
first week sales battle having
144,000 first week sales
basically 145,000
because it's 144,000
953 right
bad bunny has 118,4,417
but then very interesting
how little baby has the most
bought
units
in the past week
How could that even be possible, right?
You go throughout the entire list,
and the second closest is 13,000 bot units for, who was it?
Stray Kids, a hop album or whatever, whoever that is.
Oh, the Stray Kids album by Hop.
So the reason why I'm comparing that is because now, let's get to Little Baby.
Y'all want to know how many bot units Little Baby had.
Now, granted, the album just came out.
but it's a very huge discreferencey but then when you look at the difference between
144,000 beating out 118,000 as far as little baby and bad bunny and you look at it
more you look at it closely or closer the units bought for little baby as far as from
his major label they bought 49,000 units now I wonder where they got that number
from now let's just do a little math ladies and gentlemen because now we're about to go
to the calculator okay so 144000 let's just put this in right quick because i'm not going to lie to you
actually let's do 145,000 let's just round up for no reason right so 145,000 and then let's just
subtract that for no reason you know just let's just subtract bad bunnies first week sales right so
let's round up with him too let's say 119000 that's just you know just for the sake of round numbers
right hmm 26 000 difference okay so it is a difference of 26 000 now the total units bought from little
baby was 49 000 y'all want to know the total units bought for bad bunny as far as him being one of the
more pivotal artists as far as consumed on planet earth 7000 physical units bought we're not physical
but just units so basically what that means is either they purchase the album physically
which is non-existent nowadays, or which probably this is what happened.
They went to iTunes and purchased the album so that they could have the offline version of it.
That's really the only value of purchasing, in my opinion.
Or else, I mean, you could support the artist, you know, as far as purchasing it versus a stream.
Because if you don't know, 1,400 streams equals one unit.
So that's why some people like to purchase rather than stream.
So anyways, those are the two upsides.
Anyways, Bad Bunny has 7,000, basically 8,000 because it was 7,700, right?
So we're going to round up.
So 7,900 units bought, but Little Baby had 49,000 units sold as far as bought.
Why is that number so large when you look at the pack, the second biggest is 13,000?
It's almost like they was trying to make up for that.
gap that they was losing from bad bunny on the billboard charts so ladies and gentlemen that is my case
on how little baby ended up beating out bad bunny because it was seeming very peculiar to me because
how in the world does this happen right and then to add the fact that i covered little baby's album
well right if you look up little baby analytic dreams is the way i'm extended version that's the
segment why i dove deep into it but basically um
QC was just purchased by, what was his name, Scooter Braun.
If you don't know Scooter Braun, he's a huge name in the music industry.
He bought QC and guess who's basically the pioneer of QC right now?
Because Cardi B doesn't want to put out music.
Migos, you know, RP to take off, Cuevo and off sale or forever beefing.
So little baby's all that's left to be the flagship superstar of QC.
So now when he drops and makes so much.
sense that they're putting so much money behind him because guess what they can afford for him to
fail especially after the reported amount of paying over four to five hundred million dollars to have a
qc which now as far as that number i don't know if that's the actual number because i had the
actually dove deep into it but let me find the actual number okay so
As far as QC being acquired, right?
Let me see if I can find it.
Because I remember diving deep into it.
I didn't know I was going to go back into it.
But, you know, that's how I beat some time.
All right.
Let me see if I can find this right quick.
Little baby.
All I see is Drake lost and stuff.
Oh, you got to love it.
Let me see.
Little baby.
When was the last time I talked about a little baby?
I think it was this one.
Okay.
So basically, I can't find it.
So we're just going to type in right quick.
A little bit, no, QC acquired by Scooter Braun for how much?
Because I remember reporting on it, but I can't even pull up my own facts.
Isn't that crazy?
Yeah, so, I mean, I was close enough.
Actually, I was overselling how much they paid for it.
So quality control was acquired by Scooter Braun's company, Hybe America,
for an estimated $320 million.
And this was reported by a variety.
This was reported by music business worldwide.
So it's a pretty big deal, right?
If your flagship superstar is ultimately having the worst perception of his entire music career,
you would want to put money behind him that at the very least, they could say that,
objectively speaking, numbers-wise, it was a success.
So that's what I'm saying that with bad bunnies,
track DTMF being the most successful off of his album along with well not even successful
it's trying to see the actual position of it because I believe it's set to be let me see if I
can find this very quick so DTMF is set to be what projected to be the number one song in
the world and this is from Billboard it's a future projection
so obviously it could change but it's set to jump up a lot as far as being the number one song in the world
obviously it could go down it can't go up because number one of course it could go down a little bit but
that's the projections right now so if you have the number one song in the world and you already
have 18 tracks in the charts compared to little babies 12 and then scootabron just paid
350 million dollars to acquire QC guess what the flagship superstar is going to outsell you
no matter the cost and that ended up happening
which is why i come back to my original point 49 000 units bought compared to the 7 000 from
bad bunny is very peculiar when you look at the overall totality numbers as 44 000 first week sales
for a little baby compared to bad bunnies 118 000 i wonder why they bought so many
units it's almost like they was trying to make up the difference so they could have that number
one and with that being said click my link to you in my bio let me know one of my social
media's what do you think about the whole bad bunny versus a little baby saga in at the end of the
day when it comes to this specific track d tmf off of bad bunny's latest album do you think is fire
or trash and also if you've listened to the entire project what is your favorite track off of the
album
