Starting point is 00:00:03 Getting into our artist that definitely is very influenced by a certain Latin musician that's going crazy on the charts as if you don't know. Bad Bunny currently has the eighth most played album in the world with Debbie Tarar Mas Photos. And of course, he has Un Barano Sinti, that is the 31st most play album in the world. And then when it comes to singles, he currently has four tracks in a top of 100 with DTMF being a 48th most play track in the world ballet a bala in no feedable i think i said that right i'll probably bushed it but that's 59th most played track in the world you have uh e o o which is the 77th most play track in the world and then you have nuava yole that's the 94th most played track in the world now of course this particular segment is not even about bad bunny so why am i going over going over this man's
Starting point is 00:01:03 statistical accomplishments. Well, I'm glad you asked. As when it comes to Laura Palsini, I wanted to talk about a certain cover that she did from Bad Bunny, but also want to point out the fact that when it comes to album, she did have an offering as far as Almaz Parallelis. I think that's how you said. That came out October 27, 2023. It's 20 songs, an hour and four minutes in length.
Starting point is 00:01:36 Basically, I'm just letting you know her latest offering as far as a full project. And just know that Laura Pocini is under Warner Music, Italy, which is, of course, attached to a Warner Music Group company. So anyways, with that out the way, just letting you know that Laura Pocini has definitely had a phenomenal career as far as being a prominent figure, especially a musician and the Latin community. when it comes to specifically the latin charts she had tracks like like los kosas k vivas go number one she had uh vivet me go number six and then she had comos c no nos who bierre ramos amato go number 10 now of course if i'm butchering any of these titles just know it's not on purpose you know so that being said all of those were very successful in the latin charts and then when she put put her put out her album right i forget what year it was but when she put out at eschuta i think that's like
Starting point is 00:02:40 said it earned a grammy in 2024 okay that's just last year and then she scored her first ever hot 100 entry with sefu uh a sefu alongside raw a Alejandro which if you don't know i've covered raw a bunch of times as far as on the podcast and i've really enjoyed diving into the Latin community because if you really think about it, a lot of these different overseas musicians impact your favorite musician from wherever you're at if they listen to the entire music landscape as far as what's affecting the masses. Because if you think about it, that's where samples come from. They're not out here sampling things that no, well, I guess it's a very minuscule percentage of people sampling sound that's not already
Starting point is 00:03:28 popular right the main reason for a sample is to get that nostalgia like effect so the percentages of somebody liking your song goes up that's the main reason that people sample anyways so getting back into laura paucini in a reason for the segment is that she covered terista by bad bunny and she did this april 27th of 2025 basically showcasing how she uh was very inspired by bad bunny's album them Debbie Tarara Moss Photos, which are already talked about it being the eighth most played album in the world. So as far as a marketing strategy, this is the greatest thing you
Starting point is 00:04:06 could do as a musician if Bad Bunny allows it. And now, when you see that as when you see Bad Bunny actually allowed it and she put it out on DSPs, one has to wonder, what does those royalties look like? Now, of course, you know, I'm always pocket watching. So we're
Starting point is 00:04:22 just going to let that slide for right now. But all I'm going to say is, I'm pretty sure Bad Bunny received a pretty penny for this coming out on DSPs and I would not be surprised if he owns the entire thing because when I looked up Laura Pawsini which you know granted she did have a Grammy as far as last year but this year currently she is absent from the Billboard charts bad bunny currently has two albums in the top 30 right in the top 31 he has four tracks in the top four Laura Pocini does not have any albums or tracks charting in Billboard 200. So that being said, bad bunny does not need any other
Starting point is 00:05:03 artists to cover his songs. So when Laura comes out, covers his track and he also allows it to be on DSPs. That's why I am assuming that he has complete and total royalties and points over this track. So from an artistic standpoint, I think this is probably the greatest marketing strategy you can have from Laura Palsini because there's no way in history she could have any type of royalties from this particular cover of a track that's already popular um and it's just how i'm just going off the history as far as how the music industry goes so anyways when you come into the um cover of teresa by bad bunny off of the album debby tarar moss photos you come to realize that a lot of people is resonating it resonating with it giving a high critical acclaim to the point bad bunny
Starting point is 00:05:50 responded on instagram quoting or commenting wow basically giving admiration and approval. That's what people are assuming from that comment that's wow. You know, at the end of the day, there's a lot of ways you could take wow when somebody's covering your track, but we're just going to go in a positive direction and say that he's signaling admiration and approval, which we would assume led to this being out on DSPs. So with that being said, that's basically why I wanted to get into. Shout out to Laura Palsini for basically capitalizing off of an opportunity as far as being able to notice the landscape, see who's affecting the masses, the money.
Starting point is 00:06:27 most as far as bad bunny and basically covering one of his tracks off of his album and being accepted by the masses because some people would just say you're just straight up stealing right so shout out to laura paucini for the cover and if you don't know it is out on all dsps as far as teresa and her latest album as far as almas per laelis is out now um on all dsps so that being said click my link to my bio let me know one of my social medias how do you feel about other musicians covering already popular tracks and also if you're not familiar with Laura Palsini are you now wanting to check out her music?
