Starting point is 00:00:03 Now whenever we get into one of the more premier acts when it comes into quality of music, there is a certain level of respect you have to place on that specific artist's name. And Beyonce is definitely one of those to where when she drops is definitely a holiday. So I wanted to pick out a couple songs, a few songs, and just talk about it in a way that gives you a little bit more of a lead-up until when the actual album comes out. because obviously analytic dreams you know i analyzed a lot of different numbers when it comes to the music industry but there's really nothing too much to get into 16 carriages texas hold them technically texas hold them was the success out of that as it was number one but not only was number one
Starting point is 00:00:49 it's been in the top 10 for six weeks and 16 carriages is nowhere to be found in the top 100 not meaning that as a bad track just saying that it's not as successful as texas hold him because at one point it wasn't a top 100 but obviously it's not there yet now so with texas holdum being the only track that biontie has charted well has charting currently granted is at number six so it's doing tremendous i wanted to touch on a couple tracks that i think will actually have staying power when it comes to her album now if you come with me to let me see if i could pull this over here I wanted to look at the whole track list while I talk about this because this is pretty interesting
Starting point is 00:01:35 because I'm not going to lie to you Beyonce having 27 tracks I'm not like it's going to be multiple sittings while I'm at to get through this album because it's not one of those things where I believe she's just trying to fluff up her numbers I feel like Beyonce is one of those type musicians
Starting point is 00:01:54 where she doesn't need a pull up branch montana and put out 80 different versions of an album hey don't don't get mad to me french i liked your album we just got caller like it is there's a lot of different versions um in the hopes of boosting streaming sales to a point where it otherwise wouldn't have been so if we look at first week sales which is something it's hard to talk about biance in first week sales because she's literally been around for so long to where her her fan base is cemented so it so it's it's not like oh if she's hot or not like she's always going to be biance no matter if she flops or not like she's always going to have that iconic career is at this point it's like
Starting point is 00:02:36 what else can she add on top of it i mean she's literally been making music since 2002 so with that out the way biance and her first week sales are usually people are giving predictions but i wish i could find like the actual first week sales of her last album let me see if i could find renaissance because I think that was the last album and that would help me quantify my point or clarify my point but I don't even I don't even know how to spell Renaissance I ain't gonna lie I had to look that up I was like how you spell
Starting point is 00:03:17 renaissance that's I would say spell it out but goodness okay R-E-N hold up I'm almost there I'm almost there A-I S-A-S-A-O there we go there we go that's perfect Okay. So Renaissance by Beyonce, which, you know, is technically her last album. Was that her last album? Actually, I'm not tripping. Yeah, it was the last album. Okay. You know, I can't have the Bihive coming after me for false information. That sold 275,000 first week and 175,000 pure sales. To put that in perspective, people don't sell that many pure copies. And not even copies is like physical. Like iTunes has a way where you can. buy purchase a project and you have that forever because what happens is on dsps that artists can go back in put a new version and now that old version is lost forever if you never purchased it so that is why for the most part people buy music because then you can do whatever with it you can download it
Starting point is 00:04:18 export it all the other stuff i mean obviously you can't like sell it again that's illegal i think i think that's illegal even though people do it but you know hey doesn't mean they're not breaking the law so anyways the reason for purchasing it is so you have that version forever um Kanye West fans is figuring that out now that you should probably buy his music when it comes out because he's going to put out 50 different versions like it's a DLC pack after the fact. So Beyonce had the fourth biggest opening week of the year and that was back in 2022. They said the fourth, the first album released by a woman in 2022 to hit number one. So basically I wanted to say that to just kind of kind of give you a litmus skill on just how big Beyonce is. and Beyonce's first week album sells worldwide
Starting point is 00:05:07 will end up changing the world like I don't know how else to put it because you know you would think you would get into a little hyperbole but when AMC theaters and you can look this up look this up for yourself when AMC theaters came out said the whole fourth quarter
Starting point is 00:05:26 was mostly driven by Taylor Swift and Beyonce ladies and gentlemen Beyonce and Taylor Swift are not directors they don't make movies so when he go into a whole other entertainment field and generate that revenue while also dominating the main field of entertainment that they are in you get a nice scale on where they are compared to the rest of the world or not the rest of the world but you know the rest of the musicians it's a pretty significant impact that these artists have I mean I think it's not Beyonce but the US economy came out and said that Taylor Swift
Starting point is 00:06:02 boosted it by like 3% and if you think about the u.s like that's a pretty significant amount so these are literally world-changing type musicians putting out projects in today's age i mean it's a great time to be a music lover as bianca's just obviously going to add to her already iconic discography so i'm not going to talk too long because i got some other tracks i want to get into but before i do click my link through my bio let me know in one of my social media with this lead-up to to Beyonce Cowboy Carter, which track is most intriguing to you currently?
