Now, ladies and gentlemen, let me tell you how this works.
You sign a deal and then you honor it, right?
So whenever you sign a deal and you don't honor it, things like this starts to happen.
As Big Sean just put out a whole album under Def Jam Entertainment, a division of UMG recordings.
Now, tell me why I look at SoundCloud.
And there's two unreleased tracks as far as fighting fires and dirty work that came out interestingly enough at the same time of the album.
I wonder if that's a coincidence.
I wonder if Big Sean himself put this out.
So of course, with Fighting Fires being one of them, which I just covered, dirty work is another one.
And Big Sean is one of those type of artists to where the lyrical ability is through the roof.
But sometimes I believe that, and it happens with battle rap.
all the time their ability to put words together gets in the way and is a a blockade if that's the
right word to getting to a great song because you want to put words together at such a high
level which he does consistently every time I might add but as far as the the song is
considered that the ending product isn't always top tier now hopefully it makes sense
because just because you can rap does not mean you can make a great song so as far as
big shan having this album just filled with NyQuil anthems as far as if you want to read your
son or daughter bedtime story on just evolving as a human on planet earth then of course better
me than you is the perfect album for you but for actual songs that you want to have multiple
places for it as far as if you had to gym at the part at the club or just
riding around just a lot of just different scenarios instead of just specific scenarios for playing something
i think fighting fires and dirty work is pretty significant in that standpoint because one of the biggest
things is that these technically didn't fit the album which is why he left them off and put them out
on soundcloud but i do believe that these two songs is one of those standouts and i'm just
so surprised he didn't actually put this on the album like what
in the world is big shan doing with these type of tracks not being not being included on better
me than you i think he could have had maybe a disc one a disc two type of vibe where he formulated
uh the vibe for the nyquil anthems but also had the party type vibe and even if he wants to give
off this positive affirmations on an entire body of work literally that's the whole
which is nothing wrong with that but we at the end of the day want great songs now if I want
to hear this type of content I will listen to an audio book but if I want to listen to
music and feel something as far as musically in the vibes then I don't know if this is
it is not really my type of vibe when it comes to putting out an entire body of work
because there's only so many ways you can tell me to evolve as a man and to as a man until it's like
okay brother i get it like evolve count my chakras go touch grass i'ma do it all but let me get a
let me get a banger like please like the closest thing this man got to a banger was certified
with um the rapper nassan i think that was his name that was one of my favorite ones and then
the cash cobain one which is funny enough because i was like right before that one that was one of
my favorites um so yeah man you just has to you have to balance it out like you either putting us
to sleep or the one track that is a party anthem is just like uh actually a standout but also has
other people on it so maybe they're the ones who cultivated that vibe so uh maybe big shot is just
not like capable of giving us just ignorant anthems anymore which you know it's okay you know you evolve
as a man but musically nobody trying to hear that so well at least not for 99.9% of the album if that was the
case we will all just go by how to get better than life book right so yeah man with that being said
um you know copying uh Malcolm gladwell's whole flow um as far as getting better in life and not
mixing it up with any ignorant anthems i may sound ignorant in saying this but it's just it's not my type of blame
man it's just too much it's too much of do this to get better do this to get better and then the same
message over and over and over to the point where it's like man i just want one i don't message you type anthem
that's all i want it and i don't think he has that on here so uh you know maybe one day but it just seems
like big shan definitely evolved into something where we'll never get the old big shan music back
which is okay because hey it's nothing for me to go back and play old big shan so
With that being said, click my link to you in my bio.
