Starting point is 00:00:03 Now as far as titling an album, I hope you're happy. You already know where I'm about to go with this. Because of course, my coverage of Big Ex-a-Plug. I don't know if it's a hot take, but generally, I like for my hip-hop musicians to make hip-hop. And, you know, of course, if you're going to branch out and experiment, that's all fine and dandy, right? But then, of course, once you get into the country lane, straight off of a hip-hop album, I have to call you a sell-out. But then you know what I'm saying? I was like, damn, look at the state of hip hop.
Starting point is 00:00:35 Like, what's going on? Because I have to keep it eight more than 92 because, of course, every white rapper who puts out an album and expeditiously goes to the act lane or puts out a country album, we always call him a sellout. We have to keep it eight more than 92 when talking about Big X to Plug. Because I don't know exactly where a whole country album even got him in the grand scheme of things. Because when you look at Post Malone, this man is respected because he has a complexion.
Starting point is 00:01:02 for the respect for the respect and the protection so when it comes to that the main thing with post malone is that when it came to the 59th cma awards you would have thought you would have seen big ex a plug but guess what this man was nowhere to be found so now when you look at it as a crossover as far as post malone and big x a plug i do not believe this is i still don't believe that this sell out is going to benefit big x the plug because Going from hip hop to country in the way that he did is a way of letting people know, I don't care about the artistry. I'm trying to do anything for a bag.
Starting point is 00:01:42 You guys. See, that's the problem. I just can't respect it. But anyways, what that means is the code is the first track between Big Ex-Plug and Post Malone. And once again, it's the first ever collaboration. If you don't know, these two are the biggest North Texan artists. So if you didn't know, well, now you know. With Post Malone, you already know what F.
Starting point is 00:02:03 $1 trillion and his whole country album, which is also sell out, but you know, once again, complexion for the protection. Uh, no, nobody really made big hoopla about that. Well, I guess they did when he first came out with White Iverson, but people just got over it. So, um, when it comes to that, I do believe Post Malone did get some type of, okay, yeah. So post Malone was nominated for album of the year at the 59th CMA awards for F1 trillion, right? Um, I don't care anything about the CMA awards because, of course, if I was to give my coverage of the CMA awards, I'll probably tie.
Starting point is 00:02:33 to kick and shibuzi or something you know just to let you know how racist that war show is but um at the end of the day when it comes to the big exit plug and what he's been up to specifically in tracks his track hell at night i believe it's called yeah hell at night is the 46 most played track in the world featuring ella langley from his sellout album uh is 14 weeks on the charts and then of course when you come to post malone interestingly enough his most popular track is I ain't coming back with Morgan Wallen. That's the 99th most popular track in the world. It's just hanging on by thread.
Starting point is 00:03:10 But of course, I don't really critique that track as much because it did what it needed to do as far as peaking at number eight on the charts. Because remember, I ain't coming back, came out a while ago. When it comes to Big Ex the plug, hell at night, peaked at 35. So, safe to say, the track with Morgan Wallin and Post Malone, you would think it would have went number one.
Starting point is 00:03:28 But it doesn't always, like, artists, collabing does always mean it's going to be top five just straight off the bat like if morgan wall and post malone collab and only peaked at number eight and i say only like that's not that's still a phenomenal accomplishment but artists like post malone and morgan walling that by themselves have had top chart uh top charting tracks as morgan wallin his track i got better is which is his most which is his best performing track it's the ninth most played track in the world has been on the charts for 26 weeks so by themselves they can easily get up to the top 10 top five i say easily but they make it look easy because they're so good at affecting the masses right basically what i'm saying is post malone big
Starting point is 00:04:11 ex a plug i think they both need this collaborative effort because i'm not saying they're falling off by any stretch of their imagination but as i'm doing right now as you're hearing the sound go off i'm basically looking at them from an album perspective and none of their albums are in the top 50 on billboard which is usually um regarded for a testament of longevity so it seems like both of the albums i'm not going to say came and went but nobody's really listening to it as far as the top 50 in the world and these are monumental artists that to me sold out for the engagement so to not get that high level engagement for the longevity is the biggest factor for me as far as it not making sense on why why do you keep selling out you know i'm saying so this collaborative effort as far as the cold track comes off of
Starting point is 00:04:58 Big X's big extra plugs deluxe edition as if you go to it the track uh the the album i hope you're happy the deluxe edition was literally just released today with the track code from post malone now i don't know what other tracks are off of the album because of course i haven't listened to it i'm not listening to a country album from a hip-hop artist like if you're gonna pick a genre unless you're like authentically making country art uh art but you're literally rapping while country art is do their thing on your entire album like it's literally artists for days on this album like i i i didn't know if it was big ex the plug or dj call it you know they kind of looked at shepherd all right my fault but you know they anyways um you have big ex the plug darius record you have jelly row you have
Starting point is 00:05:43 beths zimmerman ellie langley luke holmes oh okay you got shibuzzi shout to him uh you know we don't kick shibuzzi over here uh you have tuck you uh tucker wetmore thomas ret uh shout out to mr green for Twitch, if you're listening after the fact, just know I was live while recording this. And of course, you have Post Malone now and you have Jesse Murph. Safe to say, the sell-out album had every country artist you can imagine. And all for what? I don't understand that the, I don't understand why go this route when you could have kept up the hip-hop mantra and uplifted the genre.
Starting point is 00:06:21 Because of course, when I look at it in the grand scheme of things, we have one of our biggest up and becoming artist completely selling out for a country album and then you come to realize there's no rap songs in the billboard top 40 for the first time of 35 years and i cover that October 31st of 2025 so i'm not putting all the blame on big x a plug because that that'll be a lot to put the whole rap game on him but it's moves like this that adds to the way that people look at rappers as far as inauthentic are you really in it for the craft or are you in it for a dollar because it seems like The moves that big extra plug has made has been for the dollar, which I ain't mad at if that's what he's doing.
Starting point is 00:07:01 He's just like, hey, I'm selling out, bro. I'm selling. You know what? You know what I'm saying? I'm selling, you know what? You guys. But I still got to call it out. So, anyways, with that being said,
Starting point is 00:07:11 hopefully y'all listen to the deluxe edition album, if you enjoyed the sell-out music from hip-hop musicians. And at the end of day, it will get promoted to you know what and back as they already got photos of the music video that they shot for the song. And, of course, you already know, that the marketing team is going to be behind this expeditiously to make sure this reaches the certain audience as far as affecting the masses.
Starting point is 00:07:36 So with that being said, click my link to your in my bio. Let me know on one of my social media. What do you think about Big X to Plug and Post Malone's first ever collaborative track code? And do you think Big X to plug is selling out? Do you think I'm being a little harsh? And do you think it's just authentically hip-hop and country music?
