You know, I'm just looking at the charts.
I'm looking at Shibuzi in the way that he ran 2024.
And I just realized, we are six months in to 2025.
And this man still has the seventh most played track in the world with a bar song, Tipsy.
Been on a chart's about 62 weeks, the longest running single in the top 10.
well besides lose control that's the nine that's been on our charts for about 96 weeks but then you get
to his overall album that came out last year and is still the 12th most play album in the world to put it in
comparison the only two albums above them that you probably will automatically recognize is bad bunny
with this album debut tarar marce photos and then of course the go and party next door some sexy songs for you so
So when it comes to Shibuzi, not only did he have one of the most successful years in music, as far as last year, but six months into 2025, and he's still putting up some of the biggest numbers in the industry.
So anyways, with that little crash course lesson out of the way, we're here to talk about Big X the plug.
It seems like I cannot escape this man from the music industry because.
When it comes to Big X to plug, there's no real beef, of course, with me covering Big X.
But one of the things I noticed, especially when I was about to cover it and I completely
shifted my focus with the quickness.
Because, of course, when it first came out and I saw the title of that album, I thought to myself,
What happened in the game?
What happened to the game I loved?
You know, in every single field, there's a sacred rule, an unwritten rule.
that you should follow being in that specific sport.
I just think titling your album,
something that's already been solidified in hip hop history
is beyond blasphemous.
I compare it to somebody walking into the Bulls locker room
and being like, you know what?
I feel like we're in number 23 to hoop today.
That's exactly what I feel when I look at Big X the plug,
titling his latest album, take care.
But to be fair, take care of,
the 35th most play track or album in the world if you look at other hip hop artists that know where to be
found right besides little teka drake kentrick there's not a lot of hip hop artists out here putting up
big numbers in hip hop so i guess if you had to do your numbers with taking the already
classic hip hop album title i guess i'm not mad at it as he is putting on for the up and coming
hip-hop artists because it's not a lot of them you look at this list and there's a lot of mayonnaise there's a lot of
of Miracle Whip on the overall charts.
And at the end of the day, having the hip hop representation of the new new
world acts, not the legendary acts, because we definitely need to pass the baton at
some point to the newer acts.
But when it comes to the up-and-coming hip-hop acts, we have big X to plug,
Little Tecca, and then of course, Playbricardi.
So with that being concerned, with that being considered, Big X to plug is back again.
with the new track titled Home featuring the one and only Shibuzi.
But then you know what I'm saying?
I was like, damn, look at the state of hip hop.
Like, what's going on?
I just need to know the marketing budget put behind this collaboration.
So for Big X to plug to get Shibuzi,
I, because as a Hall of Fame pocket watcher,
I just want to know what Shibuzzi's prices are going for.
And hopefully after Shibuzzi went to the AMAs
and got completely disrespectful,
because you know, of course, in the country field,
you're more inclined to,
inclined to run into racist people i mean you just got to tell it like it is that man said it was
kicka shibuzi i looked up shibuzi in the dictionary it was nowhere to be found that man was being
blatantly racist so anyways uh with that being said hopefully after the amaz he kind of realized
the the culture that actually accepts him for his music so um you know maybe he gets a little discount
to big extra plug not to say big ex the plug isn't putting up phenomenal numbers but it's
nowhere compared to the engagement that shibuzzi is getting so of course if i'm
what's the call a spade the spade um shibuzzi is definitely doing big ex the plug a huge favor and
featuring on his track so hopefully he's doing it not out of the you know not completely out of love
you know maybe he's getting a little compensation it is shabuzzi at the end of day but you know
maybe he gave him a little you know june t discount you know saying you know save that other half
to tax the the other genre that'd be disrespecting you 24-7 so with that being said uh the main thing you need
know was that the music video for this is also phenomenal as it was shot at the margaret
hunt hill bridge in dallas texas because if you didn't know i can't even i can't even complete
if you didn't know if you didn't know big ex the plug is from texas this man says on every single
talk every single song this man rath he'd be like uh no it's a pg podcast well let's just say he hops
on the track he bled off from texas every single track every like you think it's a producer tag at this
This man hop on the beat.
He'd be like, I'm from Texas.
I'll be like, hold up now.
How many times he's going to let us know that he's from Texas?
Anyways.
So as far as Dallas, Texas, right?
The bridge was shut down on June 17 for the video.
I watched a video in its entirety.
I love the song.
The song is phenomenal.
I love the beat switch.
I thought that was going to incorporate it more of a country hip-hop blend,
but it's really like a hard transition from a country-type track
to a hip-hop type track as far as the, as far as Shibuzi's part.
as far as big x the plug part big x the plug really comes on the track and completely changes
the genre as is a hard transition as far as the beat switch um the videos is fire i think i already
said that as far as shibuzi as far as big x the plug i would assume this track is going to be on the
charts for the foreseeable future because not only is it a high quality track because i always say just
because you make high quality does not automatically mean you're going to sell and just because you
sell a lot does not automatically mean you make high quality the two don't correlate and it's
something i reiterate a lot because i cover the charts 24-7 so with this track is high-quality one
and we'll see how long it stays on the charts as far as it be in the top 10 top 15 top of track
but um i'm i'm pretty um i'm i'm going to safely assume that this track is going to be phenomenal
as far as its placement on the billboard charts i would probably say top 15 and um
yeah because these are two of the bigger artists in their respective genres coming together for a track uh like this that's already phenomenal and then um there's something they was talking about as far as the the big ex the plug country album i'm not too sure about this now i do know that he does have a lot of tracks with country musicians but there's no way there's no way big x the plug is putting out a country album but if he is though if he is let's just look up something let me see
top five critically acclaimed country albums of all time here we go if he does make a country
album because you know when I was doing my research it kept popping up like should
big X a plug wants to do a country album like hold about he's switching it out for Shibuzi
no big X the plug actually is making a country album which is insane but you know
country rap has been done before Beyonce did it so at this point you know people just
think they could do it.
Anybody just be thinking they could do it and thinking they can imitate what Beyonce
did, which is beyond blasphemous, but whatever.
So, yeah, so for this next album, since he wants to be blasphemous in the hip hop community
in the hip hop field, name his album, take care of right?
I need him to put out a country album and I need it to be titled a coat of many colors.
Yep.
That's exactly why I need his album title to be.
I need big X to plug to come out here in disrespect country just like he does.
did hip hop and title his album coat of many colors that's exactly what i want the title to be since he said
since you know nobody wants to say anything about him titling his album take care right let's let him go
to the countryside of things and name his album coat of many colors and let's see how long that
last so anyways uh with that being said i think this single is phenomenal um at the end of day
it's not real smoke uh for a big ex the plug because he's a big guy like i ain't gonna lie if he said
all right my fault pause no did he you
guys see that's the problem anyway that's a big guy you know it's not really too much i can get through
all that so um shibuzzi will be performing in fort worth on october 9th at billy bob's texas i don't know
why that popped up but hey now you know part of the great american road show tour tickets are
available on billy bob's website imagine going through life with a name like billy bob i'm just
joking for real now let me chill all right so um click my link to you in my bio let me know
in one of my social medias what do you think about big x the plug and shibuzzi's latest single
titled home and at the end of the day do you think it's going to end up being a summer anthem
