Getting into the second best performing track off of Billy Elish album, Hit Me Hard and Soft.
We have to focus on Burrs of a Feather because according to the analytics, the extended report for June 1st is saying that birds of a feather should be around the 13th range as far as top performing album.
So, uh, track.
So this is the third best performing track off of her album.
I misspoke with that.
The second is Cheerio?
How do you say this?
It is Chihiro?
I think that's how you say it.
Anyways, I don't even know how to pronounce it.
But Birds of a Feather is the third best performing track off of this album.
And from the numbers, as far as streaming standpoint, it has reached a new peak of number six,
which jumped two slots on the global Spotify with.
7.1 million plays, but as far as overall sales, including purchases and downloads,
is slated to be 13th on the top 100 as far as Billboard is considered. So the biggest thing
I'm looking at, none of the numbers really jump out to me as far as Billy Eilish, because
she's doing more of the same as far as just outperforming most of her peers, except for Taylor Swift,
of course, which, you know, it's kind of hard to outperform the biggest artist ever.
So with that being said, the overall projections when it comes to album sales,
Billy Elish is slated to do around 300,000.
Taylor Swift is slated to do around 300,000.
So it's a close race.
But I'm not saying Billy Elish can't get a number one with this album.
But it's seeming that, um,
Taylor Swift is definitely going to overtake her, but it's close enough that the label that Billy Elish is on, which, what label is she on? Let me see.
I think Billy Elish is on. If I had to guess, it would have to be UMG because she's one of the biggest artists. If you don't know, UMG gets all the biggest artists on the label.
As far as Billy Eilish, she is under Interscope. Dark Room.
slash inoscope records which i don't know what that's under let me see dark room anderscope
records music label i think they're on the UMG uh let's be the eyelish i think it's his own thing
okay so andoscope is his own thing because it's not saying what it's under ah okay there
we go you know just a little research you know what I'm saying uh dark room records is
affiliated with Universal Music Group. Once again, going back to one point that Universal Music
Group runs the whole music industry. I mean, if you literally go to the numbers,
Universal Music Group currently has 56% of the music market share. So as far as music being consumed by
the masses, Universal Music Group has 56%. And the second closest is Sony Music Entertainment
with 20%
and the tide with Warner
that also has 20%
and of course independence they have 4%.
So that's why I consistently say
Universal Music Group will
always be the big dogs
of the music industry and
I don't know if it's because of monopoly
type laws in place
that would
not allow this to happen
but if Universal Music Group
wanted to start their own music
distribution platform they easily could but obviously they haven't because I think it would
just be a monopoly at that point like it you know imagine if Spotify came out with our own label
pretty sure there's laws in place for that not to happen so anyways Billy Ilish
under UMG putting out hit me hard hard and soft is potentially going to be number two
maybe number one as far as the best-selling album of the week but
obviously is a close race so i can't tell just yet but as far as what i can tell is that birds of a feather
uh chihiro and lunch is the top performing tracks off her album which she just put out the music
video for lunch which is by far the best performing track uh off her album so with that being said of course
this specific track birds of a feather was officially teased by netflix uh talk about having star power
and a trailer for season three of the series Heart Stopper.
So her music is already being syndicated on certain TV shows under big corporations such as Netflix.
So we'll see what this goes as far as her overall impact on the charts because it's looking great for Billy Elish.
And if you're second to only Taylor Swift, then I would say you're doing pretty well.
So with that being said, click my link to your in my bio.
Let me know in one of my social medias.
