Black Myth Wu Kong, one of the more Dark Horse candidates as the game of the year is considered for 2024.
Because a lot of things have came about the Eldon Ring saga of the video game industry.
Maybe we had Liza P, Rise of Ronan, a lot of other games, I'm trying to think.
obviously you have this one black myth wukong you had some other game i'm forgetting i'm
definitely forgetting one other game but anyways as you can tell elder ring has inspired a plethora
of games to copy the model of a strenuous experience when it comes to the open world format
and the combative nature of it because different mechanics especially in las of p they push you
to the farthest that you've ever been mentally as far as wanting to give up on a video game simply for the fact that
I don't know about lies of P or Rise of Ronan but I do believe that when I do believe I definitely know the
Elder Ring did not have a difficulty setting so with that being stated a lot of games were
inspired by this as far as the overall engagement that a game that a difficult game received because
usually with the with the um the average gamer is usually call the duty madden and that's all they
play really not trying to play too difficult get uh they're not trying to play games that are too
difficult for the simple fact that they're trying to have fun but elder ring stroke a struck us
such a unique balance of difficulty and enjoyment to the point where now people are trying to
recapture that same lightning in the bottle aspect.
So here comes Black Myth Wu Kong, a game set for August 20th, so it's coming out soon,
but PlayStation 5, Steam, Epic Game Store, developed by game science, and it's an action RPG
with heavy emphasis on boss fights inspired by Chinese mythology.
So that being said
One of the biggest
Things to come about this release is that
Xbox
Is not getting this game
At all
What in the world? I know
I said the same thing
I was like how are you just not going to come out on a whole different
console? Like it's only two of them
I mean I guess it's my fault
My fault my
Nintendo people I try not to disrespect y'all too much
But y'all know y'all know
the switch can't run this game so anyway let's get back to the real consoles uh yeah so
xbox is not getting this game so that's very interesting but playstation and steam is so pc
players and playstation will be able to play this game when eventually releases august 20th but as far as
the final trailer obviously this is the final trailer right here um analytic dreams video on spotify
to see the video along with the audio but basically i'm playing the trailer um on mute of course but um
Yeah, this trailer was released not too long ago and basically was showing a lot more detail into the game and at the same time upsetting a lot of Xbox users for the sense of exclusion.
Like being excluded from the Black Myth Wu Kong initial player base will have to be frustrating.
But, hey, that's what every PlayStation player was filling when Starfield came out.
So hey, welcome to the club.
But anyways, a lot of people are hype for this game.
People are praising it for its visuals, this gameplay,
then everything about the whole structure of just boss after boss after boss,
which does seem monotonous.
But apparently, there's a lot of different varieties of bosses in this game
to where it's going to be an enjoyable experience,
to where everybody is going to find different fights challenging,
depending on your level of expertise in these type of games.
but one of the biggest things is that it's super visually and captivating because not only is this game coming out having phenomenal visuals and gameplay,
but it's also one of the top pre-orders on the PlayStation Store, and it's also sitting number one on the spot for global sales on Steam.
So this is already shaping up to be maybe game of the year.
I keep saying Dark Horse because it really came out nowhere.
Like, 2024, when it comes to games,
hasn't had the same type of impact that I think it was 2022.
What year did Mario Odyssey come out?
Let me see, Mario Odyssey.
That was like one of the best years in gaming.
Mario release date.
That can't be right.
2017?
Hmm.
That can't be right.
Maybe I'm thinking of something else.
Oh, I'm thinking of when, when Zelda and Mario released.
I think it was like Mario.
Anyways, let me just type in Zelda.
Zelda Tears of Kingdom.
release date.
I know it was in the 20s.
Okay, it had to be last year.
Yeah, because last year was a year I think we had Zelda,
Mario the flagships of Nintendo released we had Spider-Man
did we have Spider-Man I don't think he had Spider-Man we had God of War
God of War was it Magnarok release date that was 22
it was close to 2023 but yeah I think I think I'm getting my dates mixed up
but anyways yeah I think the overall sentiment that I'm trying to say is that
2024 hasn't been the the year of i think i'm thinking of 2023 the amount of games that came out
that was a super impactful as far as like quality wise i mean we have balder's gate um
mario zelda in the same year i think we had armored core uh we had spider man
we had another flagship game i don't know if it was the last it wasn't the last of us i think it was
It was another PlayStation exclusive that was that was pretty fired.
I think we had high fire rush.
Just a lot of great games, right?
Last year that was a very spread out to where it felt like the whole year,
which is bangor after bangor after bangor.
This year is more of a slow burner because a lot of the games that we thought was going
to hit like a rise of Ronan turned out to be a solid game,
but wasn't a consensus of,
game of the year. So when you come to Black Myth Wu Kong and the hype is matching the actual sales,
because it's one thing to say, oh, I can't wait to get the game. There's another thing to see
Blacksmith, Black Myth Wu Kong sitting at number one for global sales on Steam and being one
the top pre-orders on PlayStation. So with that being said, one of the biggest things with Black
Myth Wu Kong that you should know before you get into the game is that it has a lot of
boss fights that is challenging and differentiates itself from soulslike so that it still gives you
that feeling of having to overcome a boss but it's still not just the overall copy paste of an
elder ring type format so that's one thing you always like to see people taking their own spin on
something that's already worked and making it their own because usually that's when the best creations
are made so as far as the souls like elements is considered
the game does incorporate souls like mechanics that comes from the elder ring class right the
elder ring um education but wukong differentiates itself mainly through the speed and direct
offense rather than like timing and pacing and basically this is from like insiders who have
played the game already because obviously the game's not out yet but you know got to do you
your due diligence with the people who's already played the game.
So with that being said,
the game has been compared to other video games out on the market,
like Secura and God of War,
as far as just the overall pace of the game.
And they did say that Xbox will probably not get this game
for the foreseeable future,
which is very concerning.
Like, why in the world will this game be excluded from the Xbox platform?
pretty weird right so when you're looking at black myth wukong and the way that is excluded from
just Xbox players um you could understand where the widespread disappointment would come from
to the point where Xbox uses a feeling like y'all just completely left it y'all just completely
left us out of the experience for no reason like why are you out here acting up like why are you
acting up all these other video games on every single platform and you like as far as like games we haven't
heard before, right? I mean, it's not like some
deal that we heard that was struck with PlayStation
or PC. It was just out of nowhere.
Like, hey, we're not coming to Xbox platform.
Like, it wasn't like no deal exclusive
to PlayStation or PC. They just
don't want to be on the Xbox
platform. I'm like, what type of beef do the
CEOs have? Like, what does the
head game developer
of Black MythU Kong
have against the Xbox heads?
Because at this point, it has to be some
type of corporate beef because it just
makes no sense. If there's
There's no exclusive licensing deal why you're completely cutting out an entire console fan base.
So anyways, that's why I keep saying the Black Myth Wu Kong is definitely shaping up to be a dark horse of game of the year
because you're still going to have your Xbox people who come out and kill the game, say the game is trash for the simple fact that Black Myth Wu Kong is simply not playable on the platform.
So with that being said, the overall premise that you should get from this is that Black Myth
Wukong is coming out August 20th for PlayStation players and PC, well, not PlayStation, for PlayStation
5 owners, Steam and Epic Game Store.
Developed by game science and once again, is an action-rpg with heavy emphasis on boss
fights and inspired by Chinese mythology.
So with that being said, click my link to you.
my bio let me know one of my social medias what do you think about black myth wukong coming out soon
august 20th and also if you're at xbox player are you upset with this game not coming to your platform
and for the people on playstation five and pc players do you think this will end up being game of the year
