Now, I believe this is my first time ever covering Boss Man Delo.
But of course, what better time than now?
Because Boss Man Delo has a new album out titled Delo Curry, where he's actually replicating
the night night type of celebration that Steph has whenever he puts a game away.
So, of course, this type of music.
is very interesting because as far as 20 songs, no artists in the world needs 20 songs on a project.
If you're not named Drake and you're not named Taylor Swift or the weekend or the 1% of the 1% where your fans would like for more songs on a project,
there's no reason for an up-and-coming artist to have 20 songs on the project.
this is blatantly just for streaming numbers, which I'm not mad at.
But of course, notorious mass effect.
I've been covering this music industry for the past two years as far as like scouring different platforms and analytics and things of that nature.
And one thing I could tell you is that usually whenever somebody puts 15 plus songs on their album, they're trying.
to get certain numbers to make their projections look better.
Throughout 2024, just call me out of date, call me out of the loop, but I haven't seen
any Boss Man Delo song that's impacting the masses.
Now, I always say, just because you sell a lot does not mean it's high quality.
Just because you don't sell a lot, it doesn't mean that it's below average as far as the
quality level.
But what I will say, that is what stood out to me on.
first glance at Bossman Delo's album.
20 songs is way too much.
I don't think you're doing anything that's special enough to call for 20 tracks on one
project.
So with that out the way, next, I went to who's his major label because that's very
apparent that they had a hand in how many tracks on this project.
I wouldn't have been surprised if they came to him and it was like, hey, because we're talking
about Alamo under Sony that
Boss Man assigned to, right?
So they're looking at him.
They're saying, hey, we have Rod Wave, we have a little dirt.
You really aren't up to their level.
So let's try to make the numbers look better
by adding more songs to your project.
That's the only way that I could see him agreeing
to putting 20 tracks on a project.
Because if this was Bossman Delo's decision,
it's a terrible one.
You should not be putting 20,
tracks on a project if you're just a rapper i don't know how else to put it i'm sorry there's no
lyrical miracle spiritual that you need 20 tracks for now if you're making rm b if you're switching
up to genre that's a whole other discussion but if you're just rapping you don't need 20 tracks to get
your message across you don't need 20 tracks to get off different club anthem flows right so that is
why i am stuck on this number because that is insane so anyways with that being
said this is my first time covering boss man d low so let's get into the actual artist right because he is
from port salerno florida and overall like many rappers up and coming you know he had a lot of
different legal troubles but i'm not going to get into a lot of the specifics because that's not
what i want to focus on i want to focus on this album but i want to be doing it justice if i didn't talk
about how the authentic nature comes across, right?
The things that he's rapping about coinciding with some of the life events while he was growing
up makes it more believable when you rap about certain things, which ultimately, as backwards
as it may sound, ultimately adds credence to your overall rap persona.
Because now people believe certain things you might say on the record, right?
I'm just going to leave it at that because I'm not the feds, right?
So anyways, he started rapping in 2019.
I gained traction in Talley Hassee before spreading across Florida.
His 2023 mixtape 2 slippery was his first major project, which gained a lot of traction on TikTok, of course.
I say to a lot of up-encoming musicians, TikTok is the ultimate organic tool if you want to blow up as an independent musician.
There's a reason why the government is about to shut them down.
The algorithm could not be copied by any other American.
American platform. So now they're about to take down TikTok, one of the more pivotal platforms
for every single independent musician. So anyways, Boss Bandilo gained a rise to fame through
TikTok amongst other platforms, but solely TikTok, of course, and following his re-release of his
mixtape 2, Slippery, with additional tracks in December 2023. And of course, how did he
break out his track, Get In With Me, was a breakout single, basically him performing
as a well him structuring it and displaying it and performing it as a freestyle as the jacksonville
based series creeping through the streets and this gained a lot of traction on social media of course
and mr pot scraper that's a fire name i ain't going to lie to you mr pot scraper was another
track that was a hit for boss man d low back in february 2024 furthering of course that
establishing his dominance in the rap scene.
Another thing I wanted to touch on before I get back into the project is that he's been on
tour and selling out shows.
And apparently his performance fees is 100,000.
Now, 100,000 per show, not to be a pocket watcher, but let me just say you're doing a good
job at keeping your priority straight, my brother.
As far as rappers, let me tell you, if there's one thing that rappers would not lie to you
about is that, well, they can't lie to you about is how many people they can bring out at a show.
There's no bots.
There's no fudging of the numbers that can replace the authentic view of butts and seats.
Humans coming out to see solely you, you can't fake that.
There's no amount of money that can help you fake that.
I mean, I guess if you make the show free, right?
But still, people will still have to show up.
And with Bossman D-Lo, obviously, it's not for free.
as allegedly his performance fees are 100,000.
So, I mean, at this point, you know,
Boss Man Delo is doing his thing,
which is why I'm covering his album,
wanted to shine a light,
or not only one of the more pivotal rappers from Florida,
but also with him being so new into the field,
I believe that putting 20 tracks on one project
is a desperation,
is a desperate attempt at sales.
If you're not the highest selling artist, that's okay.
Sometimes you just have to make sure it's all quality.
And then at some point, hope that the sales come along with it.
But it should not be focused solely on getting your sales up, right?
So that is why, for me, when I look at an album and I see 20 tracks and it's from a new musician,
it just tells me you made no effort to consolidate your best tracks.
Whatever you made in the studio, you're throwing out to the public.
And that, I think, is very nonsensical and it's only for analytical reasons, which if you're already not the big dog at your label, which Rod Wave and Little Dirk would be at Alamo.
If you're not the big dog on that label, then ultimately just try to garner your fan base through tour, which you've been doing.
But don't do these type of desperate attempts of 20 tracks on one album.
It's not the greatest look.
Anyways, besides that, I will be giving his album a listen.
Obviously, I haven't heard it yet.
Maybe if I come back and be like, hey, every track was fired now just play.
I don't think that I'll ever happen.
20 tracks is super hard to keep the consistency as far as quality.
Musicians probably think that, oh, I could do 20 tracks easy.
And then they actually get into the studio and realize only one out of the 10 tracks they made was actually fired.
But who's going to tell them that?
Who's going to tell them that?
Right.
So 20 tracks is just too much.
But yeah, that's basically it.
So click my link tree in my bio.
Let me know on one of my...
Oh, wait, hold up.
No, that is not it.
Okay, so this man has features on his album.
And let me tell you, he has an ice spice feature.
Can't wait for the music.
Oh, my fault.
All right.
He has French Montana on his album.
No cap on this album.
Little Baby on this album.
Baby Faced Ray.
And Glorilla, which I believe that's the older song.
It's a PG podcast.
So I'm just going to say it shakes something.
right that's it's shake that something let's just you know shake that expedive let's just put it like
that um the album is 49 minutes in length and of course 20 tracks which i've covered uh and yeah that's
basically it as far as the i spice feature as far as the little baby feature i see some potential
with that one um yeah that's basically it because you know i was going to say another joke
going off of the ice spice on there but you know hey we're going we're going let bygones be bygones right
so anyways click my link tree in my buy
Let me know one of my social media is.
What do you think about Bossman Dilo as far as him having 20 tracks on one project?
But also, what is your overall reception to 20 tracks on one project?
And will you be given this album by Boss Man Dilo, Dilo Curry, a listen?
