The album hit 1 million sales in only 10 minutes, marking the fastest million-seller ever on Hanteo.Streaming supremacy was total: all 14 tracks occupied #1–#14 on Spotify Global Daily Top Songs, led by title track “Swim” at #1 worldwide—a strong indicator for Billboard Hot 100 success. Apple Music logged its largest first-day streams for any pop group album. On iTunes, Arirang claimed #1 in 90+ countries, with “Swim” topping charts in 90 territories.Domestic Korean platforms (Melon, Bugs, Genie, FLO) experienced a full takeover, “Swim” at #1 and tracks like “Body to Body” at #2 filling top spots. The “Swim” music video trended #1 on YouTube Music in 70 countries, reaching 30 million+ views faster than any 2026 MV and earning 4.5–4.8 million likes in 24 hours—the most-liked video of the year so far.Critical acclaim followed: Rolling Stone (4.5/5) hailed it as “the biggest comeback ever,” spotlighting BTS’s Korean identity via the traditional “Arirang” sample. Billboard praised vocal solidarity across generations and named “Body to Body” a standout. The Guardian (4/5) affirmed it as worthy of the world’s most popular pop group.Analytic Dreamz dissects the synchronized ARMY mobilization driving this multi-platform sweep, the front-loaded consumption scale, and what it signals for BTS expanding dominance post-hiatus—not merely maintaining it. From sales history to global chart control, Arirang represents a record-breaking takeover.Privacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

Starting point is 00:00:00 Shepard, promise me you'll tell them to subscribe for free content. Army are all there and they are waiting and have been waiting for this moment and are waiting for everything. We're back! Analytic Dreams video on Spotify to see the video along with the audio because right now we're seeing the first interview from BTS who just dropped the album, R.R.R.R.R.R.R.R.R. Which we're going to get to the sales in the second. But first, we want to hear from BTS specifically. Yes. We're back.
Starting point is 00:00:33 We're back. Let's go! Let's go! We're hype, ain't they? We just got out. We just got out of the military. Yeah, bring it. Okay, so basically, they start talking in their language, and of course, as far as the English translator, your boy, Shepherd is here.
Starting point is 00:00:52 And in all seriousness, I cannot speak their language. But, you know, of course, I can translate. So if you don't know, what they just said in English is that they just completed mandatory military. mandatory military duty, which if you don't know, all members of BTS had it and they staggered it to where all of them would not be completing it at the same time. So they went on individual routes such as Junkhuk, V, J. Hope, all the other members staggered their mandatory military service so that they could have their individual runs and that when the last member completed their mandatory military service, they could come back together,
Starting point is 00:01:29 which is the year of 2026, which is why we're seeing the comeback right now. And so right now they're speaking in a language, I just want to translate it. So they're basically talking about the interview with Zain Lo. Interview with Zane Loe made them start to realize they got to start from the beginning again. They're preparing something new, something exciting and even shocking. And they will not disappoint. one of the, you know, like, first people outside, like, who have ever listened to the whole album.
Starting point is 00:02:04 So that being said, the whole interview is out now. You know, shout out to Zane Low. I really like the work that he does in the music industry. You know what I'm saying? So that being said, there's something else I was wanting to get into. And, of course, the other thing I was going to get into is the major sales that's currently happening with BTS's R-Ring. Because, ladies and gentlemen, they are notoriously,
Starting point is 00:02:27 affecting the masses. Hey, you probably think it to yourself. Well, just how notorious is the mass effect? Shepard. Okay, my fault. Without, you know, prolonging or elongating the segment. The main thing I want to get to is the sales especially, the sales specifically when it comes to R-R-R-R-Rang,
Starting point is 00:02:48 because if you don't know, currently, it's the biggest selling album ever. It's the highest first-day sales chart in Hontio chart history, which if you don't know, that's the charts over there in South Korea specifically. And of course, it translates over into the U.S. as I believe they are projected to do around 500,000 in first week sales. Now I know what you're thinking.
Starting point is 00:03:11 You probably say it to yourself, hold up now. Did you say that they was going to have the biggest first week sales since the Taylor Swift? I did say that. But keep in mind, when it comes to sales specifically from overseas artists, it's counted differently in the U.S. because in the U.S. consumer market, the R.I.A., which is the Recording Industry Association of America, right? Hence the name. It's very askewed towards United States artists. So when it comes to certification, when it comes to the consumer market, even if an artist sells 20 million in wherever they're from, right, outside of America, they still need a certain amount of units in the U.S. to meet the R.I.
Starting point is 00:03:57 IAA standards. And you're probably thinking to yourself, hold up now. I know that ain't who I think it is. You're telling me the RIAA specifically caters towards American artists. Well, guess what? You guys. That's what I've been trying to tell you this whole time, a notorious mass effect. Safe to say when it comes to RIAAA, you know, I am American citizen.
Starting point is 00:04:16 I was born in America, but we do have to keep it eight more than 92 because, of course, when you look at the calculations as far as RIAA and how consumer is counting, you specifically needing to have a certain amount of units in the United States I mean objectively speaking that just caters towards US artists now I'm not saying this bad or a good thing I'm just laying that out for y'all and letting you do of the information as you will so anyways when it comes to BTS specifically they are projected by Hontio to have around 3.9 to 4 million units as far as in the first week And those are just the foundational projections.
Starting point is 00:05:01 Of course, it could rise even higher. If you don't know, their previous BTS record as far as the first week sales was with their album, Map of the Soul, which I believe Map of the Soul. I don't think that was the last album. The last album technically was proof that came out June 10th, 2022. So now when you look at Map of the Soul, that initially came out February 20, let me see. yeah map of the soul seven that came out February 21st 2020 you come to realize that album did phenomenal to the point where that was the highest before this album so map of the soul seven initially did 3.3 million copies first week so now a ring has just surpassed that in just
Starting point is 00:05:50 one day now of course you're probably thinking how is that even happening as far as a 24-hour period outselling an album that already did phenomenal as far as 3.3 million sales in one week. Well, I'm glad you asked because when it comes to Rie Ring, I did tell y'all this is going to be one of the more notorious mass affecting albums in the world. And it's safe to say that's currently what it is as of course we don't know the projections as far as specifically what the singles are performing as. But of course, when it comes to the overall body of work, is currently number one globally as far as a specific track swim and then of course you have the biggest first day streams ever for a pop group album like in any genre which is why I give so many positive critiques to bt s because at the end of the day when you expand your palette and start to realize that all these other artists from other genres they technically are talking about the same things that you enjoy from your favorite musician it's easy you you're it's easier to versatile to
Starting point is 00:06:54 yeah basically expand your palette and diversify your portfolio when it comes to your music consumption so anyways aside from army ring being the biggest first day streams ever for a k-pop group they also are number one in 88 to 90 plus countries their track swim which i even told you before the album came out that the track swim would definitely be the main selling point, especially as far as a single because they had a music video attached to it. They had a whole concept as far as the animated trailer for that specific track. And as of right now, they have a lot of marketing strategies promoting that specific song
Starting point is 00:07:37 for major DSPs and playlist consumption, right? So I was one of the main people coming out telling y'all that Swim was going to be the main focal point as far as the single. for this album rory rang now of course when you look at the music videos right they're number one on youtube music trending in 70 countries of course 10 million views within four hours 30 million plus of views fastest uh music video of 2026 to reach his milestone basically btis is out here putting up bta on every single artist in the music industry shepherd all right my fault this is a pg podcast so anyways so when it comes to BTS is notorious mass effect safe to say the key tip the the key notes that you have to
Starting point is 00:08:26 to pay attention to is them selling 3.9 million copies in just the first day in all-time hauntier record and of course I may be butchering the actual name of the record but it's called a h-a-n-te-o so haunt-o record so if you don't know what that is that's basically for uh that's for South Korea but let me see uh Let me see. So specifically, when it comes to hauntier records, because I did want to give an actual definition. So it was established in 1993.
Starting point is 00:09:00 It's basically the key tracker for K-pop albums for artists, K-pop album sales and artist popularity. So it's the main, it's kind of like billboard, but for South Korea, right? Especially for the K-pop acts. So with this being the biggest all-time record, as far as in one day, safe to say that when we get the full week of numbers,
Starting point is 00:09:22 the BTS album Ari Rank is going to set to be one of the biggest albums of 2026. And I wonder, I just wonder, who said that first. So anyways, currently, it already beat out his own record, which we already talked about that with the Map of the Soul album that came out in 2020. BTS is definitely riding on high. If you're probably wondering, what are they up to in the year of 2026? Well, it's quite a lot. as with bt s they will be touring right they're going to be touring from 2026 to 2027 and of course
Starting point is 00:09:55 with his first full comeback uh album like as a group since 22 this is going to be a massive tour as the 70 to 80 plus days across asia north america europe etc and you know i keep pointing out the fact we did just have bad bunny on the super bowl halftime show i just wonder what could make roger goddell and Jay Z expand their palette even more and go with an even more popular artist. Shepard. All right, my fault, I'm giving my consultation out for free. You know what I mean? You got charged for that.
Starting point is 00:10:28 Anyways. So getting back into the tour, right? It's going to do phenomenal. The last tour made a crazy amount of revenue. One thing I keep saying about K-pop musicians is that their choreography is through the roof. I remember covering Jenny from Black Pink. And Jenny, in my opinion, she was the main focal point in what ended up winning the idol best choreography as far as the show the idol the HBO show the idol because when you look at that show in its entirety
Starting point is 00:10:56 let's just say it's not that good man you guys let's just say it's not that good so with the best choreography win specifically Jenny being a part of a certain scene that I'm not going to spoil in well y'all not going to watch don't watch the TV show it's not good so then the idol with the weekend right Jenny is is filling in for um I think it's Johnny Depp's daughter or something like that. Anyway, she's filling in for the main character, Lily Depp. I think that's her name. Anyways.
Starting point is 00:11:25 So Jenny is filling in as a backup dancer, but basically she's showcasing how the choreography is supposed to go for the music video because the show is based off a rising, up and coming musician, right? And the way that Jenny puts on her performance and her choreography, in my opinion, that was a specific scene. They ended up winning them best choreography for the HBO show, which gives HBO more credit, but also gives us some sort of saving grace
Starting point is 00:11:52 for how atrocious the idol is. You know, the biggest saving grace for the idol is, one, the weekend making an album, because I would keep saying that that album is on the same level of 50 shades are great for me as far as the weekends, the idol soundtrack. That soundtrack is phenomenal. And Jenny from Black Pink is also on that soundtrack
Starting point is 00:12:13 with the track, one of the girls, which that's phenomenal. So anyways, I go on that side tangent to tell you this. The main thing with BTS is the choreography, matching the quality of their music, makes it to where they're one of the best shows in the music industry, in my humble opinion. So now, whenever they're doing this concert,
Starting point is 00:12:34 I believe they just had a concert somewhere. Let me see. So yeah, they've returned to the, I don't even know how to pronounce it, I'm gonna try my best. The Guang Woman, the Guang Woman Square. I totally butcher that, Y'all get the point, right? If not, hold on, let me get Jarvis to read this out, so you don't think I'm trying to be funny.
Starting point is 00:12:51 Let me see. There's a lot of syllables in this word. That ain't going to cap to you. See, the Guanghuamen Square. I would not have thought to pronounce it like that. Anyways, there was thousands in attendance slightly below expectations as far as reports. So when it comes to my coverage, I believe their tour is going to be a success. Now, of course, they did say that the city was shut down to accommodate the crowd. So when it says slightly below expectations, you don't know what type of circumstances they were dealing with. Because if you got to shut down the whole city, it's safe to say there's a demand. So as far as it being slightly below expectations, I would be interested to see where that's coming from.
Starting point is 00:13:31 Because as of right now, with them about to go on a humongous tour of a 70 to 80 plus dates across Asia, North America, Europe, etc. or Japan of course I think with the free sole comeback is S-E-O-U-L so Seoul I think that's how you pronounce it comeback concert in March 2006 which is of course Netflix stream I believe that just already happened but
Starting point is 00:13:57 the main thing I want to let you in on is that BTS is having a massive movement and of course over here covering the gaming and music IPs that notoriously affect the masses I just wanted to let you all know one of the biggest groups currently affecting the masses in the music industry because when the first week sales come out and y'all wonder why is your favorite artist country or pop or rap musician out top in the charts it's because they dropped on the same week as bt s as rving rang is set to already be the most popular
Starting point is 00:14:29 album in btas history and this group mind you is already one of the most popular musicians in the past two decades of all time. So that'd be a sick. My link, Trey in my bio, let me know on one of my social media is, what do you think about BTS RER rank? Of course, selling 3.9 million copies in just the first day,
Starting point is 00:14:49 and when it comes to them going on tour, will you be catching them in their live show appearance?
