When it comes to titles, I think Burnaboy is probably one of the better artists when putting actual thought into putting a title on a single.
Because in general, his quality is on another level.
I think that Burnaboy is probably one of the best artists in his genre, which is not saying too much, I guess, because as far as the genre in general compared to the hip-hop field, or just compared to the pop field, obviously he has his little, well, not little, you know, don't want to disrespect Bernard.
Boy, but he has his own country that he represents.
So he has that whole fan base now coming over to America as more of a double-dipping
and a fan base.
It kind of reminds me of when overseas NBA players come over to America and they're
super nice, kind of like Luca Donkich, and they just have additional fans from the United
States when they already have fans in his hometown, which is Nigeria, I believe, for
Burnaboy.
But anyways, he just dropped a new single.
called sitting on top and let me tell you it's straightfire.
I don't think Burn a boy has ever dropped the track and it was fire.
I mean, Afrofusion has to be one of those genres that Burnaboy is just one of the more
recognizable names within because he's just a hitmaker.
Quality is on a whole other level when you compare him to other Afro artists.
And in general, it samples, and this is a big deal, it samples 1998, brandy-
song that also features the rapper Mace and that song is titled top of the world so it's not
one of those type of just straight ripping off a classic it's really giving a nod and an homage if
that's the way you said to brandy and her hit song top of the world and last year burn the boy was
going crazy i mean he was with riana's savage finty volume four i believe and then he was at the
dreamville music festival he was uh...
performing at the 2023 NBA All-Star game half-time show. And that was just a little,
um, that was just a little slice of what he's been doing in the United States as he's definitely
been running it up in his own region. And the reason I even bring up Burn the Boy is because I don't
think he just gets his just due as being one of the best Afro artists in the business. As you know,
people sometimes talk about whizkism, some people talk about Tim's. And then people be like, oh,
he's in a whole different genre by himself. He can't even compare to them. And I'm just like, I'm
pretty sure they're in the same genre, but hey, maybe I'm tripping. So I think Burnaboy is just
one of those artists that he's no laughing matter. Definitely a monster, a mammoth in this
music industry, very talented, and a lot more respect has to be put on his name. But if you do
want to put more respect on his name, definitely check out his new single titled Sitting on Top of
of the World, which definitely samples, once again, the top of the world track from 1998 Brandy. So if you
want to listen to both of those that is the title of the top of the world is the title of the song
he sampled from brandy and the original well the um single from bernard boy is sitting on top of the
world so obviously it's homage to brandy which you know if you've heard brandy you know why these
modern day artists are making uh music and sampling hers because she is just one of the more
vocally talented artists that i've ever heard in my life
So anyways, burn the boy sitting on top of the Afro Beast game.
