Getting into Burner Boy, and of course, when it comes to Afrobeats, we already know how influential that specific genre can be, especially with the likes of WizKid and Tim's walking this earth.
And we know the type of sounds that they've created that have influenced some of the most popular hip hop tracks that we've heard in the past two to three years, especially when we're talking about with the future track, wait for you.
And the sample they ended up using from Tim's that was originally already popular.
And they've sampled it and used it for themselves for Wait for You.
So if you wanted to hear the actual track before that, it was titled Higher about Tims.
And they just used that for Wait for You and just took off.
So anyways, we already know that Burner Boy is very significant when it comes to the Afrobee Lane.
And he's back again with a new track titled Update under Spaceships slash Bad Habits.
slash Atlantic Records.
So with this track is leading up to its eighth studio album titled No Sign of Weaknesses.
So of course, it's set to release in the summer of 2025.
We actually don't have a official release date.
Do we?
No.
Okay.
So we don't have an official release date.
But of course, with the African music genre, we already know that Burner Boy is going
to make an immense splash in that specific region.
but when it comes to the U.S., especially U.S. streams,
Burnaboy currently doesn't have any tracks on the charts or albums.
So I think for overseas artists,
US is basically the last infinity stone as far as success in the music industry
because now you've already conquered your region as far as impacting the masses.
But U.S., you need a certain amount of U.S. streams to even chart on the RIAA
or to even get RIAA certification and to have charting on the buildupes.
board hot 100. So when he put out, I told them back in 2023, a lot of people were surprised
on his first week numbers, but you have to keep in mind. Overseas artists sell a lot when it
comes to overseas because that's their home, right? Now, when you come to U.S., that's basically
the last infinity stone. So that's how you got to look at it. If they're selling the same amount
as these other U.S. musicians, that's backwards because they would not, U.S. artists would not be
selling as much as them overseas.
But now the same first week numbers are being matched by overseas artists when it comes to
an ice spice when it comes to, I don't want to name hip-hop artists to, you know, basically
put them down.
I'm just letting you know that for overseas artists, US is the last Infinity Stone.
So they're already selling a lot like 100 plus thousand overseas.
But when it comes to the US, it's the last, basically it's the last obstacle to achieving
world domination as
cliche as it sounds
when it comes to the music industry.
So of course, when it came to his last body of work,
I told them that was released back in
2003. It had artists
like Jermaine, Dave, G-Z-A,
I don't know what that is,
Enriza.
And then the album
actually received four Grammy nominations.
Now, of course, he was also, as far as the year of
2025, he was nominated
for a world artist
of the year at the I Heart Music Awards and he's also set to headline Stay the France April 18th
2025 and was featured as the first ever cover star for Billboard Friends. So safe to say,
Burnabore is a big deal. Now when it comes to his track update, it's more high energy and it's more
of an anthem than anything. I think this has a lot of potential to end up being a commercial success,
not only in this region, which you already know that's for Burnaboy, he's already immensely successful,
and that's in his specific region.
But when it comes to the U.S., I think it has high potential to put up numbers on the charts.
Now, of course, when it comes to Burnaboy's recent single, like Bundle by Bundle,
which amassed a lot of streams as far as 15 million Spotify streams and 7 million YouTube viewers for the track,
You already know that when it comes to Burnaboy and his way of marketing his music,
it's definitely on a global scale.
As he already knows, he has to attract different audiences if he wants that huge first week number sale.
The first week sales number.
So Burner Boy right now is looking like he's going to put up the same amount of numbers as I told them when that came out back in 2020.
But I ain't going to lie.
I feel like he does need a smash hit technically to even put up numbers similar to that.
Because if you realize City Boys back off that album is still one of his most played tracks to this day.
And of course, I don't think he's found a City Boys yet for his upcoming project.
But the time is still a lot of time to find you a hit before your initial album.
So when it comes to that, it's really not too much to get into when it comes to Burn a Boy.
I mean, he doesn't have any chart tracks or albums on the charts, which is not a bad thing.
It's just maybe he's trying to find his commercial hit, which update, which is now out on our DSPs.
It may end up being just that.
So that being said, click my link to your bio.
