Seven years. It's been seven years since invasion or privacy.
But then you know what I'm saying? I was like, damn, look at the state of hip hop. Like, what's
going on? Now, of course, when it comes to that specific drop into people listening to this
podcast for quite some time, I may have to chill on that drop, especially for this particular
segment as we're about to get into the one and only Cardi B. As when an artist,
announced on their IG a new album.
I looked at my phone and I said to myself,
I know that ain't who I think it is.
2018, transitioning into 2025,
and this is your second album set to come out on DSPs,
September 19th, 2025.
I know that ain't who I think it is.
Because at first glance, you're just probably thinking to yourself,
well, Cardi B's just retired, you know,
she's going to Lauren Hill route,
route as far as putting out a phenomenal album not only it being her first album but also it being her
first album to win a grammy for best rap album but you already know how i feel about the grammies but at the
end of the day she did join a very prestigious group as far as women having the overall best rap album
at the grommies so after that i'm not going to say she went on a high
hiatus because for people who don't remember,
Cardi B had a lot of superstar-like hits following invasion of privacy.
It just so happened that there was no album to follow up on these ginormous releases,
whether it was WAP featured Megan the Stallion.
People are using that acronym to this day.
I'm not going to lie to you.
It's probably one of the greatest acronyms ever invented, but you know, that's besides
the point.
And then you have her other.
very popular track which was up which went two times platinum back in 2021 so when you hear those
it's not like carty b was putting out singles and it was just flopping there was just no continuation
of momentum for those ginormous tracks which is why i believe both of those tracks are on this
new album am i the drama if you was wondering about the title that is the title for carty b's
upcoming album am i the drama and when you go to it well specific on spotify when you go to it
you realize that it's three 23 tracks and length they have the entire track list up obviously it could
shorten or it can uh it can either shorten or it could lengthen as far as uh it could become longer
as far as adding additional tracks but i'm assuming it's 23 tracks because they have the current
single for the for the album as far as outside then they have
the two most popular tracks since her hiatus with invasion of privacy as up and wop is on this album now
one thing is for certain this album is going to get the best marketing strategy in the world put
behind cardi b because of course when it comes to invasion of privacy i'm not saying they have to
replicate those uh replicate those first week sales because i think that's very hard to do and
And I forget how much invasion of privacy.
I forget how much it sold first week.
So an invasion of privacy sold 235,000 first week.
So when it comes to that, it was a huge success on the charts.
Excuse me.
Okay, 255,000 sales first week.
So I push her up there with the likes of a Nikki Minaj that did that
That's acquired that amount first week not once not twice not three but four or five I feel like LeBron James right now
The amount of times that Nikki Minaj did that is out of this world but we're not comparing it to I'm just letting you know
How successful invasion of privacy was like Nikki ran the game for quite some time putting up pink Friday
Having a three hundred seventy five thousand units first week
week pink Friday um Romans revenge version doing 253,000 first week the pink print doing
244,000 first week pink Friday two doing 228,000 okay y'all get the point right
Nikki's been running the game and there's really no woman rapper close to her when
it comes to consumption so when Cardi B came out with invasion of privacy selling
250 5,000 first week you could see where the comparisons could come from and
And not only that, but then she just went on to get a plethora of awards.
Not to mention the Grammy that I just talked about as far as her winning the overall best rap album for Invasion of Privacy back in 2019.
And then you have the Billboard Music Awards.
She won eight awards.
And she set a record for a female artist in a single year as far as having the most by female rapper to as far as nominations back in 2019 for the Billboard Music Awards.
And of course, there's a whole, like, y'all don't need me to let you know how successful
Cardi B has been since then, which makes this hiatus a little bit more acceptable because it's
not like she didn't go on to give us great music, whether it was WAP, whether it was up.
But then she just wanted some time to herself because I don't think you understand, not only
having three kids, but then having an offset as a husband.
You know what I'm saying?
I ain't going to say anything about that.
All I'm saying is they're going through a tumultuous time, which is why the outside track is
gaining so much traction because people love drama because if you really think about it offset with
the feature with j i.d the track title bodies really if you really listen to me goes you know there was
no bar in there that could have been a stephan digs that they haven't wrapped before carty b had lines
specifically in there talking about how she's been done dirty and let's see how you react to being
done the same way literally in her track outside which i think is phenomenal
It's not her best work, but as far as getting a point across, I think it's one of her most insightful tracks as far as her life.
So anyways, she said, when I tell you these, this is a PG podcast.
Oh, let me put this up so you can see it.
Yeah, let me give me one second.
You got to swap this right quick.
Okay, cool.
All right, so now let's have a little read-along.
Analytic Dreams video on Spotify to see the video along with the audio.
Cardi B said, when I tell you these people ain't poop, please believe me.
They gonna mess with anything.
These people way too easy.
Who y'all thinks you're talking about?
Like sometimes you really look at the tracks, look at the lyrics,
and you realize outside is very different as far as how she's talking right now.
Good for nothing, low down dirty dogs.
I'm convinced next time you see a mama, tell her how she raised up.
But then you know what I'm saying?
I was like, damn, look at the state of hip hop.
Like, what's going on?
let's go wrong for wrong let's go lick for lick if i can handle that let me see you handle this
now ladies and gentlemen those are just some of the lyrics from outside she goes to she goes into
a lot more depth in my opinion like as far as her talking about savanna and lebron let's just say
you know she was really showcasing some of the top tier people that she could be connected to
if she wanted to really make offsets spend additional hours on the toilet so anyways
um i don't want to spend too much time on this i just want to let y'all know that
carty b is putting out a new album which is a huge deal but the reason why i won't give it as much
time is because ladies and gentlemen we aren't even we're not even close to september a lot of
things are going to be happening as far as the marketing rollout for this album she's already
giving us the album cover i mean that could change because september is a long time from now i
don't know if y'all know but we only six months in so that means we have july we have august and then september
as far as looking forward to this album because that happens in the middle of september so we still
have two whole months to get through before we even get an inclination of what the rest of this
album sounds like but as far as the track outside and the future chart data predictions i don't see
it charting at all um i'm thinking it's just too early to tell i would be hardly i would be
really surprised if outside doesn't end up charting so as far as right now
I just think it may just be too early to tell.
As far as her back and forth with offset, check out my body's coverage.
Just type in offset analytic dreams with the Z to hear my coverage of the body's track.
And I basically get more into Cardi B and offset drama.
But I always pride myself on covering music.
So that's why we're talking about Cardi B once more.
So with that being said, click my link to you in my bio.
Let me know on one of my social medias.
What do you think about Cardi B's new album and actually having a release day for September 19, 2025,
It will be titled, Am I the Drama?
