Starting point is 00:00:04 Now, all jokes aside, we got to get into the meat and potatoes of Cardi B. Right? Got to get into the non-salacious news. Because what would I be doing covering drama? So anyways, social media apparently found J.T. saying that Cardi B copy her style. Now, fans were pointing this out. I was like, there's no way, right?
Starting point is 00:00:32 There's just no way. that JT called out Cardi B for copying her style but literally she said let me see if I find this something about Milan so she said missing Milan here you go right here
Starting point is 00:00:49 so oh also my fault for the fellas out there I don't even know how I forgot to say this analytic dreams video for the video version well on Spotify to go along analytic dreams video on Spotify to get the
Starting point is 00:01:05 video version along with the audio. All right. Now we got that out the way because I know y'all be heated if I ain't tell y'all. Now let's get into the real reason I'm covering this. So JT. She said missing Milan with this look right here. Now obviously if you see Cardi B's video, you already know what she's trying to say. And obviously you see the comments, people saying she's weird, you're so obsessed, you know, things of that nature. But of course, I did my due diligence to find the pictures that she was talking about. And here they are for you to witness. yourself shout out to the drama club for putting this together for me but anyways so this is the look she's talking about obviously j t is is accusing carty b of stealing her look and guess what i don't know
Starting point is 00:01:49 if it's a what the carty b fans called themselves anyways they came out and was like hey by the way cardy did this in 2022 i think there's a message for you in this song that's why she put the pink on that's why she i can't read that's why she put the pink one too love cardi for that and as you see right here cardi carty b fan came out and said cardi b filmed this january eighth you were in milan two weeks ago nice try with a little smiley emoji don't you just love petty beef so anyways of course being a hip-hop cover we have to get into the non-salacious news which is definitely this right like this is what will want to hear when getting into music. So anyways, all jokes aside, let's get into the actual music that Cardi B just put out.
Starting point is 00:02:42 Before we do, though, Cardi B, apparently will be featured on Shakira's upcoming album on the first track called Punteria. Now, if that's a cuss word, let me tell you right now, I don't speak that language. So, yeah, do of that what you will and just call me ignorant. So, because I think that has to be some type of, I know that's some. That's something. Anyways. Cardi B just put out a new track titled Like What, in parentheses freestyle.
Starting point is 00:03:10 Set to release March 1st. Now, I noticed the beat sounded so familiar, but I couldn't really find what she was sampling. Oh, okay, so wrapping over a sample of Missy Elias, she's an expeditive. So Missy Elliott's 1999 hit, she's an expeditive. Hold on. Let me listen to the track again, because I think I heard something else. obviously i got muted so y'all can't hear uh okay because i knew i knew i knew i knew that sounds too long ago i knew okay so i don't know if y'all think i'd be joking or not but i do
Starting point is 00:03:56 really enjoy the wave of of women rap that we have in today's age so this is woman titled not titled what uh this is woman called bea right and that's why she titled it i was like that beat sounds so familiar but i can't really put my finger on it see if i can't find it. Ah, here we go. Okay, so this came out March 24th, 2023, and it's titled, I'm That Expetive. Basically, a playoff of Missy Elliott's track all the way back in 1999. She's a expeditive, B-word, basically. It's a PG podcast, so that's why I say ex-perative. But anyways, I was like, I do remember that, but not going to lie to you. If this is a freestyle, I'm immediately comparing it to Bia, and I'm sorry, but I think Bia wraps heads and shoulders over of a lot of, a lot of,
Starting point is 00:04:45 women rappers in the game like she's on my top five as far as the best rappers in the game currently i mean of course it's the queen on nika tanya mirage like come on now cardi b fans chill out yeah i know it's true niki raps better than cardi but anyways number two i'll probably say megan the stallion number three i'll probably say lotto and then number four i'll probably say bea and who is my number five probably like rhapsody or somebody i always keep that rhapsody in the tuck because because of the non-sexual of Rhapsody, she's not promoted as much. That's what I think. Obviously, you have the sexy res and the gloorillas of the world, but those are anomalies. Like, Rhapsody, I think, can really rap and I don't think she really perpetuates a sexual lifestyle. Like, I think Glowrilla literally
Starting point is 00:05:31 just got a BBL not too recent or not too long ago. So, anyways, don't you love the news that comes or just circulates your brain whenever you're a student in a hip-hop? So anyways, yeah, Bia is by far, one of the best rappers when it comes to the women field and obviously in the mail she competes as well i mean she literally had a track with uh well it's not the best track to point out but the london track with j cole which j cole went crazy but bia also had a solid verse uh the the track best on earth which to this day i still think is one of the best hip-hop songs ever created is just solely off of the vibe that it created in the setting that is made for i'll let y'all figure that out so anyways um bea doing this track
Starting point is 00:06:23 first with on that b word all the way back in march 24th 2023 is going to lead some people about some people you already know who i'm talking about that specific fan base pointing out cardi b's lack of creativity because if you don't know there's so many times cardi b has came out in the past six years to try to get that hit once more even though i would argue she had her hit with up when did that track come out carty b had a hit with up let me see if i could find it cardi here it is i think she got pregnant around this time i don't know what happened but i think this track came out after her album yeah okay so because invasion of privacy came out 20 2018 i believe up came out after that album and it came out February 5th, 2021. That track was so fire. It's a literal.
Starting point is 00:07:23 That's not literal, of course, but it's such a crime that her marketing team didn't use that to roll out her other album. Obviously, it must have not been an album ready because that track was blowing up so much. It just seemed like the no-brainer thing to do, which is follow it up with the album because up was a hit. I would say it was a hit. It peaked at number 16, which I know some people, may not be like they'll be like oh that's not a hit but it stayed on the it stayed at the top 50 for at least 17 weeks right and to put in in perspective wap with megan the stallion stayed at in the top 50 for like 29 weeks so i mean wap was i think maybe cardy's most successful track of all time let me see yeah i think what no wop is by far her most success no no i like it i like it her most successful track of all
Starting point is 00:08:13 time which that was on invasion of privacy but wop is a close second and it came out um after i like it so it could catch up so anyways um yeah wop is literally one of her more successful tracks and up was 17 weeks on the charts wap was 29 weeks so basically i say all that to say she had a hit her marketing team i think she got pregnant i forget what happened they fumbled the ball right so no album ever culminated from that track being so successful so when you come to that conclusion now we have to come back to the drawing board to reinvigorate the height once more and that's where the problem lies she came out with the track i think it was bitter with summer walker literally was a flop and their standards stayed on the
Starting point is 00:09:03 top 50 for like one week i think it peaked at like 48 on the charts um came out with rumors with lizzo peaked at number 20 stayed on the chart for nine weeks which you could say is a semi-success but not enough to roll out an album the reason why i said the stats for up is because of these following stats i'm giving you right now i want you all to see in perspective how much of an opportunity they missed out on by not following up on up well that's using up too many times following the the hype of up with the album i want you all to follow why that was a huge your mistake. Because now, bitter flop with Summer Walker, mind you.
Starting point is 00:09:46 Rumors flop with Lizzo, mind you. Wildside flop with Normani, which Normani ain't put out music in like decades at this point. So for that to flop, I'm like, dang. They must not really cared about Normani coming back or they would have her fans would have stream that track.
Starting point is 00:10:05 Then she was like, oh, we're going to get them with this one. put out bongos which if you don't know bongos is basically the sequel to wop because guess who it had Megan the stallion and Megan the stallion is on Wop which is one of her most successful tracks of all time so now you have a surefire hit right with Megan the stallion straight flop peaked at 35 fell off the top 50 in three weeks I'm giving you all the statistics that you can literally look up on let me see official charts.com billboard.com or whatever right well not whatever go to those specific charts because those are like certified so
Starting point is 00:10:45 billboard official charts.com but anyways um and then the biggest flop that made me realize that oh carty b might be in trouble and when she put out a track with little dirk and conier west back when conier west was on his donned tip and little dirk was doing features with drake bigger than ever because you know he's the goat he makes everybody's career seem bigger than it actually is i mean just look a little baby right now everybody's claim he fell off when back when drake was doing features with him people were saying he was a successor to drake so do have that what you will but anyways that track came out not going to lie debuted pretty well debuted at 13 because of course it's connie was but i didn't really find the stats on where it fell off so i don't know but it didn't do as well as
Starting point is 00:11:30 uh you would have hoped so that was a flop so now you've done flop so many times with premier artists that you look back on up which came out in 2021 after the album invasion of privacy came out and this is not like hate I'm just I'm coming to an ultimate solution and this is um find this so all the way back in 2021 February 5th you had your follow-up single to promote an album with you missed that opportunity thinking you can recreate it. I don't know if it was laziness. I don't know if it was complacency already having invasion of privacy, which I would say is a phenomenal album and is a great album to, if you was, to exit off on. Like that album, I don't think Cardi B could replicate that album this day.
Starting point is 00:12:26 Like currently, Invasion is a Privacy. If you go back and listen to it, it has some hits on it. Like the whole album was straight up hits. Like literally, it was. It was. such a hit, right? That invasion of privacy had all the girls reciting was it I do? No, I think it was through your phone. Whatever track where her, no, no, be careful.
Starting point is 00:12:49 That's the one it was. Be careful where her and offset was going through whatever they was going through. And Cardi B basically came out with the rap version of lemonade and then be careful to track off of invasion of privacy. That track in itself, the bars,
Starting point is 00:13:05 everything associated with it was basically pinpoint feelings and emotions that all women could associate with and they was wrapping that line word for worry why am i saying all that is not to hate on carty b acting like she can't get back to where she once was even though it's a very difficult task and you missed it you missed out on the opportunity to follow up with up all the way back in 2021 now when in 2024 having a bunch of tracks that you would thought would have been a sure fire hit especially bongos with megan the stallion all those flop so now you're back again with a freestyle so in the way you're basically already giving yourself an out saying it's a freestyle so if it does great on the charts you could be like look i'm doing great with a freestyle or if it flops you can say oh
Starting point is 00:13:51 it's just a freestyle i don't know why y'all thought it would do so well anyway you know because of course that certain fan base which i'm not going to say is going to keep pointing out her lack of creativity because of what I just brought up at the beginning with Bia literally already using this 1999 sample from Missy Elliott on her own track on that B word all the way back in all the way back well last year March 24th 2023 so now that you're coming out literally not even a year after another rendition of this sample people are going to point out your lack of creativity because you keep flopping over and over and over again so now here comes the solution all that to say this because i know the fans cardi b fans will probably live it they probably irate straight up
Starting point is 00:14:43 live it at me right now because of all them facts i just gave them because these are all searchable facts that you know i don't call myself analytic dreams for no reason i do my research and i enjoy the sport of hip-hop So obviously it comes through whenever I'm talking about it. But Cardi B can continue to dominate in the music industry if she just uses her personality exactly like Ice Spices right now. Keep putting out singles regardless of it flopping. Like all of these big releases with bongos with Megan the Stallion, Wild Sal with Normani, Rumors with Lizzo, Bitter, with Summer Walker.
Starting point is 00:15:23 Forget all of that. Just say, hey, I've been gone way too long. i'm gonna give y'all what y'all want which is cardy b music and not promise an album just say i'm gonna give y'all music it just may don't even say it like that basically say you're gonna give them music right and just start dropping track like like maybe biweekly don't do what russ did and like put out a track a week because then they'll look a little too desperate maybe biweekly maybe every month just start hitting them with tracks and just keep grinding getting better and letting them which one is the actual standout because it's not good your cardy beat you have the best uh tools in
Starting point is 00:16:03 the world your husband's offset he can help out something is going to stick you don't need to say something is but actually this is in line of what i'm talking about put out like a freestyle you know just give them lucies or act like the lucies and then if one blows up now you have the the single to push that button on to lead up to your album no more big glamorous reveals of singles or whatever because all of them been flopping so now just put out a bunch of tracks obviously not the same time because you know that's an album but keep putting out tracks at a rapid consistent pace not too fast i would say probably biweekly the most the the fastest would be biweekly i would probably say once every month or once every three weeks whatever just biweekly
Starting point is 00:16:52 would be probably the fastest because then you don't want to look too desperate keep putting out music And basically flood them with features as well. Go on a germane type run where you're featuring on other artists, tracks. Like, the reason I brought up Kalani was not just randomly. Like, I didn't want to just randomly let y'all know that Cardi B was on Shakira's album. I brought that up to say, whoever's your marketing team, whoever decided you need to be featured on her album, that's the worst move ever.
Starting point is 00:17:21 Take your feature. Well, obviously, you can't, you already announced it. So only feature on premier artist albums and try to go crazy to the point where everybody's like, dang, Cardi went crazy. And then go on a feature run. So there's two paths. Either put out your own music like this, biweekly or every month. And or, so as and slash or, put out features or do features consistently to the point where somebody has to say, hey, Cardi B is on a crazy. feature room right now because everybody with the um get the the remix with glorilla there was a
Starting point is 00:18:03 was it the tomorrow track that wasn't that was a separate one i think but i think she feature with she featured with a glowrilla yeah tomorrow too keep doing features like that consistently like consistently hop on up-and-coming artist wave and try to body the features in a way that makes people want more Cardi B music because obviously when you was doing that with Glorilla when you was doing that with the um it was one artist you did it with which she had a hit track and you hopped on it was like a mm or whatever type of like she would say something and she was like mm you know what I mean like I can't like replicate it obviously because I'm a guy but uh go on that type of run feature heavy and keep hitting go with tracks to the
Starting point is 00:18:52 point where they can't say that you're not putting out here. if you're not charting like you once were, it's time to up the output because obviously the whole Kendrick-esque mysterious drop sporadically is not working. You have to drop consistently, let people know that you hear, you're trying to take over the year, and don't care about numbers when it comes to the album. Keep putting out singles like Ice Vice does, and when one sticks, just ride that single into the next year and use that to come out with your next album. I think I get a pretty good solution.
Starting point is 00:19:28 But anyways, at the end of the day, I think what the problem is, is that Cardi B is making these grandiose announcements for singles, and they're just flopping. So now you got to do the opposite. You just got to consistently put out tracks monthly and just see what your audience gravitates to. And pull a Drake. Start leaking tracks.
Starting point is 00:19:51 Leak a track that you think is fired, but you don't want to put out on DSPs and see if the audience messes with it. it and if they do put that out so anyways that's a whole reason i wanted to cover cardi b because as you can probably tell i am a huge fan of just hip hop in general and i think nicky definitely needs um competition when it comes to overall charting and even though megan is a great opponent lyrically even though people don't like to you know admit it but that you know mad at megan should be mad at megan's law probably one of the hardest bars and the one of the one
Starting point is 00:20:26 she threw at Drake talking about the BBL bars like Megan came with the bars but charting and personality wise you are way more likable so you can compete with Nikki way more so yeah that's what I would say because nobody wants to see a monopoly over the women rap game again I mean we've been seen that for the past like decade and a half with Nikki's whole entire run so now that a lot of women are in the fray in the mix I would like you to still be in the mix and not actually fall off like a lot of people are trying to say you are so because you want best rap album you literally won a grammy for best rap album for your first album you ever put out with invasions of privacy so try not to use that as the litmus scale because obviously that's like the highest acknowledgement as far as your craft
Starting point is 00:21:13 so just try to come close to that again similar how up came not close but it was successful when it came to wop as far as a single try to get an album no not album but try to get your uh your appeal and your public perception up to that point once more where people are like cardi b is killing every feature and she's putting out heat and it will take away from the fact that maybe maybe not is not charting well so but you have to consistently drop you can't no more grandiose drops just to flop so anyways i think i think i gave pretty good advice but hey i guess time will only tell right so anyways click my link to you in my bio let me know one of my media's what do you think about carty b and her latest track out currently titled like what freestyle
Starting point is 00:22:03 and what do you think in my advice and forget my advice what advice would y'all give carty b to end up being able to garner another hit on the billboard top 50
