Diving back into the Latin community, you have to understand that, of course, when it comes to affecting the masses, there's a lot of different genres out here that's accomplishing certain metrics, whether it's K-pop, whether it's Latin music, whether it's hip-hop, pop, country, even EDM, which I haven't really dived into, but, you know, I've saved that for another day. I have been diving into Bollywood, though. But with that being said, we'll get it, for today, we're getting into Karen Leone with his specific track, C2Mivieri.
which was released on Maluma's
23 album Don Juan
Hopefully I'm saying that right
And of course it combines regional Mexican
Serino band up with reggae tone
slash Latin pop
Now of course when it comes to Latin pop
Y'all already know my extensive coverage
Of the one and only Carol G
As
When it comes to Carol G
And of course when it comes to her
music video for
But let's just say Latina forever.
A lot of people forever wanted them a Latina after that music video.
But, you know, that's besides the point.
So anyways, getting back into Carol G.
Just know that she does have a documentary out on Netflix currently.
And it's titled Malagros.
And the reason why I covered that is because of how she broke the boundaries for a lot of women
and making reggae tone music, right?
A lot of Latinas who makes reggae tone.
music she broke a lot of boundaries and opened a lot of doors for artists who followed in her footsteps but
with that out the way today we're talking about karenne leone which if you don't know with his specific
track doing phenomenal especially how it peaked at 33 on in uh mexico specifically but then on
other charts it went number 42 in costa rica 47 in mexico 74 in columbia and this is like
as far as the most played track so safe to save
that he was having a notorious mass effect on the people listening to his specific music.
But of course, that specific track was his most popular as far as currently.
Now, when you look at his discography, you'll come to realize that he's been putting out music for quite some time.
He has 28 million monthly listeners, and that's because he's been very active in a musical scene.
To the point where if you go to his discography, he's been putting out music since 2018.
It's safe to say I definitely know a little bit about grinding since 2018 since, you know, not to make this about me, but you know, I started content creation technically in 2018 and even sooner than that if you know about other things.
But as far as like actually dedicating your life to a certain craft for a long time, I could definitely resonate with that.
And it's always uplifting and inspiring to see somebody who's worked that long has that type of discography blow up, especially with a track.
C2
Mivieris that he also has
Maluma on, which if you don't know
it's off of his album, but with
Corinne Leon attached to it, I wanted to
talk about him because I believe I've talked
about Maluma before. Let me see.
Yeah, I've talked about Maluma
a bunch of times. Yeah, okay, I talked about him with Carol G.
Fee, Jay Balvin, with their
track plus 57.
I talked about him and Jay Balvin
with Gaphas Negress
in the world, annual
well, A,
Corvito and Maluma with their track
O-A. I've talked about Maluma
and Yandel, Yandel,
a trophyo. I think Yondel
used to be Six Nause girlfriend, or maybe I'm
speaking with that. But anyways, the reason
why I say that is because, you know, I've dived into the
Lai community and definitely
got a feel for their culture as far
as who are the
trend setters, the trendsetters,
especially in that specific
Quaritos, Tumbados, or the
reggae tone-type music, whether it's Nathan
Vega, whether it's Bad Bunny, whether it's Paso Pluma.
There's a lot of artists in that field that's crossing over into the mainstream.
And with that being said, when it comes to Corinne Leon and the single that's doing the best
analytically, just know that this track is under Sociosos Music LLC distributed by Virgin
Music Groups slash Island Records.
So the reason why I say that is because a lot of people want to know different subsidiaries as far as the major conglomers who's behind and backing these type of tracks.
Because if you don't know, when it comes to the overall musical market share, UMG has a whopping 60%.
Sony has 20% Warner currently has 14%.
And others, which is small labels and independence combined, has 6%.
Just to put in perspective how hard it is to have a very popular.
track as an independent or even under a small label. So it's not impossible, but of course, like I just read off the music market share, it's a very tall task. So getting behind certain subsidiaries and seeing who is behind some of the most popular tracks helps out for future artists and inspiring artists to know who to sign to, especially if you're making this type of music, which if you're making regional Mexican music and I do have a good amount of audience from Mexico. So,
Um, if you're an aspiring artist in Mexico, just know that if you make this type of music, then Socios Music LLC distributed by Virgin Music Group slash Island Records may be something you look into specifically to try to get your music to the masses.
So anyways, um, with this particular track, the main thing I wanted to talk about was the cultural impact.
Because if you don't know with Korean Leone and Maluma, they definitely are out here globalizing the regional, uh, globalizing the sound of regional Mexican music.
music because they're already popular in their specific regions.
But now, as you see with me covering it, it's crossing over to the point where it's even
going crazy in Costa Rica, Colombia, Guatemala, and top 150 in several Latin American countries.
So when it comes to that, you need certain marketing strategies behind you.
And I think they're doing a phenomenal job, definitely showcasing that if you put enough
effort into it and if you're consistent with your sound and you believe in your musical,
quality then at some point it will click with the masses it may not click when you
want it to but it's always great to keep that consistency so anyways um maluma karenne leone
have been receiving um a lot of streams for this specific track c2 me v eras over spotify apple
music youtube being the biggest of where they're seeing that consumption and of course when you look
at the uh other charts as far as mexico and things that nature just know that
well TikTok more specifically added 300,000 to the overall track streams because of the boosted
engagement from people doing a lot of dances to their music so like I say all the time when it comes
to TikTok a lot of people have to understand that TikTok is probably the best authentic tool that
you could use to market your music to the masses so that's another thing and then as far as listening
to this track just know it is out now on all DSPs it came out May 21st
has Karen Leone, Maluma, and the track once again is titled C2 Me Vieiras.
So with that being said, click my link to you my bio.
Let me know one of my social medias.
