Starting point is 00:00:04 Time to get into who I consider one of the greatest rappers of the rising hip-hop musicians currently. Because when it comes to putting words together, I think the actual effort level has been at an all-time low. Now, of course, that just depends on what you focus on because a lot of people will point out some underground battle rapper that has the second, that's like the second coming of Nause and J-Z combined, right? I'm talking about commercialized hip hop and the way that quality level for lyrics is not even a discussion anymore. Not to be disrespectful. I don't even want to name artists, right? But as far as for the year of 2024, there was significant artists that ran 2024 when it came to the rising musicians and just let's just say they was getting sexy, right? Let's just say let's just put it like that. I ain't trying to call out no rappers.
Starting point is 00:00:58 But a lot of the rappers of the rising stars, I'm not talking about. to cemented Kendrick drake travis i'm not talking about them the rising stars the the actual effort towards bars is not there and when there was that effort from a rising star as far as lotto we've seen what she sold in no disrespect to her i'm just making it a point to highlight that because of who we're about to get into today because central c i think is the first rapper of the up-and-coming crop of hip-hop pop musician that is successfully blending commercial success and bars. Y'all see the hands,
Starting point is 00:01:40 analytic dreams video on Spotify to see the video along with the audio. But anyways, reason why I say that is because band for bam was probably one of his more successful tracks of last year, I believe, because he has not put out too much music. Like when it comes to 2024, it was pretty desolate. And it makes sense because he just put.
Starting point is 00:02:02 out a brand new album titled can't rush greatness that's out now in all dsps his last album was released february 25th 2022 so obviously you know significant amount of time that passed before this um latest album now in 2024 he had did it first with ice spice he had okay he had a good amount of tracks in twenty twenty four so he had i will in twenty twenty four des christ uh desa creditatum I don't even know how to pronounce that. Now, of course, the most popular track from him, Bam for Bam, featuring Little Baby.
Starting point is 00:02:39 Then he put out Wave, and then he put out, did it first with Ice Spice. Basically, he was out here saving careers. If you don't know my coverage of Central C back in 2024, I was pointing out specifically how he was saving certain artists careers, whether it was Little Baby, whether it was Ice Spice. If you just type in Central C, analytic dreams with the Z,
Starting point is 00:03:00 it will pop up on whatever. podcast platform you listen on so with that being said this man is unequivocally one of the better rappers of the up-and-coming crop of hip-hop musicians i don't know if i could give a higher compliment when it comes to putting words together lyrically and what they overall mean whether it's evolution whether it's the way he spends his money whether his mindset on life it's a lot of gems dropped in central c verses that aren't picked up upon if you're not focused on if you're not focused on it and that is why I would say he's one of the better rappers anyways Central C has an album out right now titled Can't Rush Greatness now this came out well came out today it's 48
Starting point is 00:03:44 minutes and well basically 49 minutes because it's 48 minutes and 50 seconds 17 tracks and it's under Columbia records a division of Sony music entertainment under exclusive license from Central C for Life Limited well it says 4L always if I see 4L I'm just going to assume is for life. I'm pretty sure it's Central C with the two Cs, right? So anyways, being under Sony is a pivotal play as far as having a major machine behind you because Travis Scott is currently the mascot. Well, actually, not currently. Let me look at the charts. So when it comes to Sony, their top dog right now, as of right now, their top dog is you have to go down the list a little bit because UMG has every body.
Starting point is 00:04:31 This is insane. Literally the top 10 is entirely taken up by UMG other than Bad Bunny's album Remaster Orchard. But, you know, that's besides the point. And a discussion for another day because my favorite rapper Drake just sued them. So his career. We're going to see what happens with that.
Starting point is 00:04:47 Anyways, you go down. So the first Sony musician, well, not even the first, the highest Sony musician is at the 12th spy and all the others are taken up by UMG artists. Insane. and sanity literally um but with that being said Tyler the creator is currently the top dog for Sony right so you're under Sony they're probably wanted you to help out with that discrepancy in the
Starting point is 00:05:09 numbers because Sony currently has 28% of the entire music market share guess how much UMG has a whopping 56% now the reason why I talk about market share is because when you're putting out music under a label you kind of want to know how much power and resources your major machine has because not all the time does that mean that you're going to get the best of the best because even if you're on UMG they have Taylor Swift they have Kendrick Lamar little baby Sabrina carpenter or Billy Eilish like you're not going to be the main focus but you will be having the ability to have access to certain resources that other artists on other labels wouldn't have now I'm spoke with the Tyler the creator he's the second highest artist on Sony right now the first you have to excuse me for this the first one was Siza so that was the mistake Siza is the top Sony artist currently with her album SOS the deluxe that's titled lena very confusing i know anyways reason why I say all that to say centracy it's in the best interest of Sony to make this a smash hit because they don't have too many artists in this top 10 and top 15 right title of the
Starting point is 00:06:25 creator, Siza. That's it as far as from Sony. So with Centracy finally signing to a major label, because if you don't know, one of the main intriguing facts about Centracy is that he put up all of his commercial success under himself as an independent. Now, independent currently have 5% of the music market share. So that's 5% of the entire pie that you have to fight for as an independent to get up on that Billboard Hot 100 or Hot 200 or Billboard Hot 50 albums. you know it's very difficult 5% when you look at the totality of music and how much music is released on
Starting point is 00:07:00 day like on a daily basis very impossible basically which is why people end up signing to major labels to end up unlocking the highest of the heights as far as the capabilities of their already viral track
Starting point is 00:07:16 so that being said centricies signing to Sony is a very pivotal play in his career and hopefully it works out for him because now with his album coming i mean three years i'm pretty sure he was probably just trying to find the best major label to sign to and obviously he landed on sony as if you only released the album back in 22 and was able to keep your not only your image but your status at the highest of the highest all the way up to 2025 when now you've technically released your first major label album this is basically
Starting point is 00:07:46 his rookie album when it comes to being under a major label isn't that insane as far as how he's competing number wise with other musicians that's already been under major labels so very significant this is why i give so much praise to central c because it's almost impossible to keep your name as popular as central c did without sign it to anyone he's did it for for the longest so now that he's under a major label i think it'll be great for him as he's already had a men's success with sony as band for band the track with a little baby was number one on the UK hip hop and R&B singles chart of course it was number three on UK singles chart but when it came to US it peaked at number 18 on the billboard hot 100 now he currently doesn't have any tracks on the top 100 but obviously that could
Starting point is 00:08:39 change with the release of his album um the track with 21 Savage I'm surprised I don't see that anywhere because I thought that was going to be not a hit but because of the similarities between the chorus and them playing off of each other in the way that 21 Savage basically came in on the track similar to how Little Baby came in on band for band. I thought it had the recipe for success. But as far as even the projections, I'm not seeing Central Sea and Little Babies. No, Central Sea and 21 Savage track on here. So that's very interesting.
Starting point is 00:09:14 But numbers aren't everything. It's just what I use to judge the superstars because, of course, that's the only limit scale that we can accurately depict who's the big dog in the music industry right now. But when it comes to quality level, just because you sell a lot does not mean you have a lot just because you sell a lot does not mean you have high quality. Just because you don't sell anything doesn't mean that you make it the absolute worst music ever. It's just basically a lip-mas scale for consumption. Quality level is not correlating.
Starting point is 00:09:42 But sometimes it does. And that's when we end up with artists like Beyonce or Michael Jackson and something like that, right? so anyways um what that being said central c is um i don't know if he's going on i believe he's trying to go on tour uh let me see i don't know if he's going on tour but he has an album out now and we're about to get into him and black boy max um i think they had a track or something together or something like that but anyways that's all i really wanted to talk about just to let you know how big of an artist Central C is and how pivotal this album is as it's his first album ever under a major machine so with that being said click my link to your in my bio let me know one of my
Starting point is 00:10:30 social media is what do you think about Central C's latest album titled Can't Rush Greatness and if you've listened to it what is your favorite track
