Starting point is 00:00:03 Red wine supernova, a track created by Chappelle Rowan, is now the 54th most played song in the world. Now, when considering that, we have to talk about when in the world did this track come out? Ladies and gentlemen, this track came out May 17, 2023. I want y'all to look up today's date and then get back with me. So, Chappelle Rowan, due to TikTok, due to featured performances, due to her size, to Atlanta Records and being dropped from Atlanta Records back in 2020. So basically she signed to Atlanta Records when she released a debut EP School Nights in 2017. Then she was dropped by Atlanta Records in 2020.
Starting point is 00:00:57 And so now she's making a resurgence. But the thing about this is that it's seemingly because of TikTok. So the TikTok star made a resurgence two to three years later because Pink Pony, I think, was released in 2022. But of course, this specific track, Red Wine was released in 2023. But basically, she's making a resurgence due to TikTok after being dropped by a major label. What does that tell you about the impact of TikTok on the music landscape? So with that being said, a lot of other tracks have blown up. I mean, her most successful is Good Luck, Babe.
Starting point is 00:01:32 I believe that one is That one is a 16th most play song in the world Hot to go 55th most play song Red wine is the 54th Pink Friday Pink Pony Pink Pony Club
Starting point is 00:01:48 is a 90th play track in the world So anyways Chappelle has followed Calli Uches And Calli Uchis returned a favor By following her So basically they follow each other I don't know why I said like that
Starting point is 00:02:02 Kylie Uchis and Chappelle Rowan have followed each other on Instagram. Now what's going to come about this? The world may never know. But one thing to note is that the influence and the impact that TikTok is having on all these different artists is out of this world as far as family, generational wealth. Hopefully I said it right. Yeah, generational wealth. TikTok is having a huge influence. when it comes to music creators creating that wealth.
Starting point is 00:02:36 So I think the biggest thing with Chappelle Rowan's rise as far as billboard success is considered is that having all of these particular tracks just charting just showcases that when you don't have immense success in a field you think you are great at, it's always great to stick it out and just consistently poke. at that lottery, right? That creative lottery is always great to consistently poke at it because really success is just only when opportunity meets preparation. So it's never preparing to the point where you don't think the opportunity is going to come
Starting point is 00:03:22 because if it doesn't come, then at least you would still prepare. But if it does come, you will feel a lot worse if you wasn't prepared. Hopefully that makes sense of y'all. yeah as far as the music industry uh chapar rowan is just immensely growing and fan base and with multiple hits on the billboard charts
Starting point is 00:03:42 with fans going out the way to show how they're eagerly waiting for her future projects and as she continues to establish herself in the pop music scene and you know being from a small town in missouri to the music industry spotlight in los angeles i mean it's really just
Starting point is 00:04:00 uh ross the fame type story that we've seen so often but the biggest thing with this one is that it was just such a delayed gratification that it just seems like Chappelle will take this success more seriously than other artists you know because going back to the preparation um meets opportunity you know just because somebody's opportunity came earlier than you doesn't mean they wasn't as prepared as you as that doesn't makes sense. So, uh, or if that makes sense. So, um, yeah, that's basically, uh, the 2024 tour. She's going on tour. Oh, no, she's going on tour. Uh, I don't think she's going on tour. Yeah, so future project. That's what they're looking forward to. And that's basically it. So they're
Starting point is 00:04:57 looking forward to a future project. Um, rides and fan base. Oh, she's been performing at major festivals. including Coachella Bonaru and the 2024 Governor's Governor's Ball showcasing her popularity and expanding her fan base of course television appearances. She had featured performances on popular shows like The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, of course, and then a late show with Stephen Colbert.
Starting point is 00:05:34 And then that just also highlights how she she's just quickly rising in the music industry. But of course, we know that the rise, as far as a discography standpoint, was a little delayed. So with that being considered, click my link to her in my bio. Let me know in one of my social medias.
Starting point is 00:05:51 What do you think about Chappelle Rowan's delayed gratification when it came to making impact analytically on the music industry? And when it comes to her multiple tracks on the charts, Which one is your favorite?
