Getting into the most talented musician I've ever seen in the history of planet Earth.
Shepard.
All right, my fault.
I'm going to stop glazing.
You know what I'm saying?
You guys.
See, that's the problem.
So it pains me to say that his pick for the remix that has the one and only usher Raymond on it,
I don't think it even met, let alone exceeded my expectations.
But then, you know what I'm saying?
I was like, damn, look at the state of hip-hop.
Like, what's going on?
Getting into the state of R&B, as if you don't know, Chris Brown's most popular track in the world currently
is the track It Depends feature in Bryson Tiller, which just showcased once more,
that not only is his man on a historic run as far as the Breezy Bowl,
but also he has a track It Depends as the 39th Most Played track in the world.
Now, when it comes to that, a lot of people was wanting a remix.
Safe to say, there was a certain name that kept coming to the top of the list,
deservedly so for that remix and it was the one and only usher raymond now when we get into usher raymond
one could say these are two of the most iconic figures in rnb so putting them on a already
well no no putting usher on an already popular track that chris brown made it did not leave up it did not
live up to my expectation and it pains me to say that because i'm not going to say it's trash or
anything like that i'm not going to come out and just be very provocative as far as how
I disliked the track but usher could have had a better verse let's just put it like that I don't
know if it's Chris Brown and Bryson Taylor as far as the verses on the track that that really
exceeded my expectations but Usher Raymond's remix was just not up to snuff and it was very
unfortunate because I believe it was such an L of you from Chris Brown because I believe this
track is so popular he could have had any R&B artist he wanted on the
remix you know how to talk about kalani and how she's currently going crazy with a current track
titled um it's not safe uh title folded folded is the 27th most played track in the world been
on the charts for about six uh 20 been on a chart for about 17 weeks so when you come to chris
brown it depends it's been on a chart for about 11 weeks and it's the 39th most played track in
the world and it peaked at 29 so um kalani's track folded peaked at 18
safe to say when you look at these two tracks these are some of the more impactful rnb tracks
in the year of 2025 just like kalani was able to get any and everybody on her folded remix
chris brown could have got any and everybody on his remix so he chose usher deservedly so i'm
gonna keep saying that but the quality level that usher came with as far as his verse unfortunately
it just was not it i know that ain't who i think it is i was listening to the
remix and i was just flabbergasted on why usher raymond opened the track spelling out usher raymond
and echoing nice and slow like hold on now i know that ain't who i think it is don't you know
that this type of energy that you're coming with is completely taking over the already uh popular
pattern that chris brown and bryton tiller set now of course you could come with your own flare and your
type of melodies and things that nature but he just switched it up so much changed the tone completely
the uh change the flow completely to the point where i'm thinking to myself hold him now i know this is not
the same usher raymond that made yeah i was thinking to myself the whole time but then you know
i'm safe to say i didn't like the remix right um going off of that i do want to say the usher is still a phenomenal act
just because I don't like one remix, does that mean that I just think he's completely washed?
I don't think that's it at all.
If you don't know, Chris Brown on this breezy bowl tour, which is a phenomenal name,
because who needs a Super Bowl?
I mean, you can sell out stadiums yourself across the world, right?
And then he featured Bryson Tiller as a special guest,
and of course has surprise appearances from Bow Wow, Glorilla,
and of course the one and only Usher Raymond.
And when it comes to Chris Brown showing his immense respect for Usher,
he said quote this is my and this is a pg podcast so i'm just going to say this is my brother
for life ain't too many people effing with this hold up now i know that ain't who i think it is
pg podcast once again and chris brown went on to say that usher is the greatest and then of course
usher replied on ticot always in honor keep pushing the culture forward
almost shed a thug tear because you already noticed
type of stuff that Chris Brown be going through.
So to still have this type of engagement and accomplishments on the level that he's having,
because mind you, a lot of artists are struggling on the charts, a lot of artists.
Chris Brown is still having quiet as care of one of the better years of a musician from
R&B and hip hop aside from the big dogs as far as a Drake or Siza.
And someone would say even Drake or Sizer is not having a type of impact that Chris Brown is
haven't currently because Drake's highest track is which one which is currently the 100th most
played track in the world is holding on by thread right as far as billboard hot 100 now when it comes
to scissor she's still the queen of R&B I ain't allowed to you her track with Kendrick
Luther is the 38th most played track in the world but then who's right under her of course
Chris Brown with his track it depends which is the 39th most played track in the world
those are more the big dogs as far as longevity now if you want to talk about newer acts
of course as far as rnb leon thomas is just running rampant with his track mutt being the 18th most
played track in the world has been on the charts for about 36 weeks which i ain't gonna lie it just
made me have an epiphany when are we going to get a chris brown and leon thomas track hold up
now chris brown leon thomas oh okay no mind uh leon thomas had him on uh mutt oh but that's respectable
all right never mind so um they already had that thought before me and then you have uh colan
which already went over Kalani Kalani had no she currently has the 27th most played track
with folded so I just wanted to go over to R&B landscape as far as some of the biggest players
currently in the industry as far as particular tracks because of course when it comes to this is her
album SOS is still the seventh most play album no no still that ninth most play album in the world
and y'all want to know when sOS came out ladies and gentlemen almost i find it hold up
gentleman sOS came out december 9th 2022 you guys that is insane so says that is still the leader
when it comes to rmb as a whole but when it comes to specific singles i think chris brown is still
a huge player in a giving a notorious effect on the masses especially via the breezy bowl
and other tracks that he's been given to the masses so uh with that being said that's the main
thing i was wanting to get into i just i didn't like the remix hopefully uh usher fans don't kill me
because I've already, like, I think I've covered Usher a lot as far as this podcast and talked about him in the most wonderful fashion ever, right?
I talked about Usher at the Super Bowl.
And unlike Side 7, I mean, White Tank Top, my fault, I got his name wrong.
Usher had a phenomenal Super Bowl performance.
And, you know, I just talked about other things as far as his tracks with Summer Walker.
And that was back in 2023.
So the main thing you need to know is I put a lot of respect on Usher's name.
But of course, once again, it comes to Chris Brown.
and I think Chris Brown is still one of the most talented musicians I've ever seen.
So that'd be said, click my link to share in my bio.
Let me know on one of my social medias.
What do you think about the Usher remix for It Depends having, no, the Chris Brown,
It Depends Remix, having Usher on it.
And do you think it was a solid verse from Usher or are you just like me and think that he could have came harder?
Pause.
You guys.
See, that's the problem.
