Starting point is 00:00:03 Now, safe to say, when it comes to the notorious Mass Effect, which, of course, nearing 2026, I just want to say thank you for all the support. And of course, we are currently on the road to 17 million total downloads. Now, the reason why I started off like that is because over here at Notorious Mass Effect, I definitely break down the entire gaming and music industry. So safe to say, when I saw this list, I had to dive into it. At least give a little discussion about it. Because ladies and gentlemen, we have the official list of the top 10.
Starting point is 00:00:35 selling games of 2025. Now of course we're just going to cut all the suspense at number one is Battlefield 6. Now one of the things I've always wondered especially covering the charts religiously like I do. CSGO and Dota 2. I've always wondered why they're not consistently in the top 10. Now I know Counter Strike 2 is a free-to-play game and when it comes to micro-transactions, safe to say I thought it would put it on this list but I also don't see Fortnite. So, Maybe it's just because obviously I would think they have way more motion than a lot of these games on this list. But maybe I'm ignorant. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:01:16 I see them top of the charts every single month. And like I said, counter strike two is a free to play game. So maybe that's why. But ultimately when you look at this, top 10 selling games for 2025, you have Battlefield 6 and number one. NBA 2K26 at number two. Monster Hunter Wild at number three. borderlands four and number four interestingly enough EA college football at 26
Starting point is 00:01:41 Madden NFL 26 and number six Call of Duty Blackop 7 and number seven Hold on now who made this list What were? Shepherd Nah, hold on Just look at the state of gaming Like what is going on
Starting point is 00:01:53 Hey so canna A lot of these are matching up Pretty interestingly You know pretty interesting College of Blackop six That came out last year mind you And it's still the eighth most plate game in 2025
Starting point is 00:02:06 and remaster at number nine and of course the ghost of yote at number two now of course when it comes to actual revenue driven from these particular games i did want to actually talk about quality for a little bit because a lot of people was wondering all the awards in the world where is expedition 33 and to that my brother or sister i have to say you guys see that's the problem as i covered the entire charts for the music and gaming industry but the main thing i have to reiterate time and time again is that when you look at it quality does not always equal quantity and quantity doesn't always equal quality basically it's the same thing but a lot of people get it misconstrued it's always it's the same message but a lot of people
Starting point is 00:02:50 get it misconstrued because they think something that's high quality has to be selling a lot and that's just not always the case right the two do not correlate as far as something like extradition 33 quality wise being the best game by far in my opinion as far as in the year of 2025. Now, I always say split fiction is my game in the year, but I'm a little biased guy. I play that with my cousin. You know, shout out to cousinship, you know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:03:13 I did. I just made that word up. So when it comes to Expedition 33, I think from a story aspect, I can see why people call it the best game of 2025 because, you know, keep in mind, hold on now. Let's go down this list as a true gamer. I played battlefield.
Starting point is 00:03:29 I played 2K. I then played Monster Hunters. I'll play Borderlands. I played EA college football. All of this is up my end. the litig dreams video uh spotify platform by the way shaman spluck i play black up seven i play black up six i played the entire campaign of black op six to the point where i actually enjoyed it i think i wanted a few players that actually enjoyed the black op six campaign the mission when you was in the
Starting point is 00:03:50 hallucinating place where it was like four different hubs and one of the hubs was like this horror scene where you look away and the mannequins got closer to you i thought that whole mission structure was classic call of duty literally brought me back to the days of the numbers mason and y'all may think oh hold them now don't don't don't know Don't get egregious with it. I think y'all should revisit that mission as far as the branching side missions. And it was like a hub world. And it was like, wow, call the dude, he's actually trying.
Starting point is 00:04:17 And then they made the campaign for Black Off 7. So, yeah. Obliving, I didn't play that, but I did play Goseyote. So when it comes to these games, I played one, two, three, four, five, six, seven. I played seven out of these 10 games. You know, as far as the top selling games, quality wise this wouldn't even be in my top three i mean my top three as of right now it's probably split fiction ready or not and the third one's a tough one i don't know what the third one
Starting point is 00:04:52 would be oh i'm tripping actually did that game oh yeah okay i'm tripping yeah dispatch yeah that'll be my top three and is in the top ten for selling games of course not so your personal list of like what's your favorite doesn't you don't have to be as vindicated the word i don't know if that's the right word but anyways as far as uh the sales you don't have to look at the sales to be like indicative of oh now it's my favorite game like no it's your favorite game whether it sells two copies of 20 billion you know what I'm saying it's your personal favorite shout to uh chill underscore face on twitch for follow that's a funny name um so when when you look at it safe to say just because something isn't selling a lot does not mean that um it isn't high quality
Starting point is 00:05:35 So for me, split fiction, ready or not, and dispatch is still some of my favorite games of the year. So with that being said, the main biggest takeaway is Battlefield 6 being the dark horse, being the underdog and somehow taking off Black Off 7. Like I know I talk about the horrendous campaign, but quiet is kept. A lot of people say that multiplayer was fixed in Blackop 7. A lot of people are saying that a lot of the complaints of Blackop 6 was fixed at Blackop 7. So when you look at the campaigns being so horrendous to the point where that's all you saw in the timeline. very unfortunate for call of duty because also the skill-based matchmaking. Safe to say, hold on, let me full screen while I say this.
Starting point is 00:06:15 Safe to say, Activision is never listening to y'all again. Shepard, just look at the state of gaming. Like, what is going on? You look at Activision and safe to say, taking skill-based matchmaking out, did not help sales, did not help engagement. So guess what? They listen to y'all, and they lost an egregious amount of money. So they're never doing it again.
Starting point is 00:06:41 You guys. See, that's the problem. So that's the biggest takeaway for me as far as this entire list. Like, I didn't want to spend too much time on it because, of course, I dove deep into every single game on this list. So, of course, if you just want to see it, just type in this game, and analytic dreams with a Z after it in my in-depth coverage of the game will pop up. But basically, I just wanted to showcase the top 10 selling games of 2025. because, of course, I talk about the music industry so much that's really no point in me, like making a list like this for music, because you already know, I've done, it's like being
Starting point is 00:07:14 a dead horse. Y'all definitely know what's the top of music and gaming. Shout to T. Swift, biggest games in the music industry. So, you know, as far as gaming, when you look at Expedition 33, not being on this list, the main thing I want you all to take away from this is that quality, which is Expedition 33. I'm not saying Battlefield 6 isn't quality. I want you y'all to get that misconstrued. You can still have high quality in high sales.
Starting point is 00:07:39 I'm just saying that just because you sell a lot does not mean you have the top product and just because you don't sell at all does not mean you're making the most egregious the most horrendous product possible. The two do not correlate. Shout to org 223 for following on Twitch. So at the end of day, just like what you like and make your opinion unique to you. Because a lot of sheet mentality goes into these games performing the way it is as far as top 10 selling games of 2025.
Starting point is 00:08:07 And I still don't have any of them in my top three as far as favorite games of 2025. So yeah, that's basically it. Just a little PSA, not too crazy. So with that being said, click my link tree in my bio. Let me know on one of my social medias. What do you think about the top 10 selling games of 2025? And at the end of day, what is your, now that we're basically days away from days, I'm tripping.
Starting point is 00:08:29 Yeah, we're days away. Now that we're days away from 2026, what is your favorite? game your personal favorite game of 2025
