contemplating putting this up on my Spotify video channel you know shameless plug analytic dreams video
podcast simply for entertainment purposes because of course we're here for the music right but that
being said the city girls are dropping a new album titled raw now what does that mean i have no
idea right so somebody had to let me know i don't even know what that means maybe it's real something
Maybe it's real.
Oh, it says right here.
It's real.
Oh, yeah, I definitely can't say that.
This is a PG podcast.
And let's just say their, the title is basically real promiscuous women.
Let's just put it like that.
So with that being said, raw is said to be released on quality control music slash Motown, of course.
And it's the third unfiltered and authentic record.
So I don't know.
if they have a track title to raw or i believe that's just the album title so as far as the track
sometimes they make the album title based off a singular track so maybe a track title to raw is coming
along with the album raw so you're definitely are going to get a lot of raw material in the future
sorry i had to throw it out there you know me hey keep you save your tomatoes i'm gonna be here all
night the album of course is going to be one of those where j t and young miami are going to
realize their place in the hip hop industry.
And that can either be a good thing or a bad thing.
From my personal perspective,
I think what Actup did for the women landscape has been tremendous.
I don't think we get a sexy red, a glovilla, any of these,
well, not any, but most of these more provocative outspoken about certain sexual,
activities and just interviews if it wasn't for the way to act up which is so authentically
them right obviously yadi helped out with the quality and the lyrics of the track but from a
presentation i believe that the city girls made it cool to talk about yourself in public in a
certain way right obviously from the beginning of time with the um
Atlanta how I even know housewives of of Atlanta I think that's how he said they've been shown in certain scenarios where it may not be the most women or lady like right but this takes it to a whole not another level to where now we have records like yeah I know what I'm talking about with sexy red and the whole you know telling you what is what and what colors is that that is that is influence
I believe by the city girls.
I know a lot of people could say
Megan the Stallion and Cardi B with Watt started that whole wave
with women talking about themselves in a very provocative way.
But I do believe act up came first, if I'm not mistaken.
And as far as the city girls, the way that they came in,
I believe authentically being yourself and not maybe being yourself,
but being unapologetic about how you,
use your body.
I think that's very interesting.
I think that's how we've came
into the likes of a sexy red, a glowrilla.
I can't think of any other artists.
I mean, as far as the like
ultra provocative musicians,
I think sexy red is probably up there
is probably the most inspiration.
So with that being said,
this track or this album,
which is the third full-length album
titled Raw, which consists of 18 tracks.
I think I actually have to try.
backlisting which try to see if there's any features so they have a little dirk on it a juicy
j they have usher um something long pause i don't even know that oh mooney long i don't know who that is
but no disrespect i just don't know who that is uh kemp petrus and i believe that's it so 18
tracks is a lot especially for the city girls because you know
know who's going to sit down and listen from start to finish if it's a hour runtime right obviously
these tracks could be shorter then you can have 30 to a 40 minute project but if it's 40 minutes plus
i think that probably probably be too much material but hey i guess we'll see as city girls have
definitely been consistent when it came to promoting themselves but as far as music um they've been a little
inconsistent in that aspect as far as impacting the charts obviously they put out tracks like uh i need
a thug uh pinata and uh i think j t put out a track called no bars but all of those tracks
except for no bars by j t i think did not make the charts and city on lock and june 20 20
debuted at number 29 on the Billboard 200 charts.
So all of these singles leading up to that album
have not charted.
Only the City on Lock track that came out in 2020.
So with that being said,
I don't really know how this album's going to perform.
It could flop,
but I don't think there's really too much expectations
so that you can't really call it a flop
if you don't have high expectations in the first place.
not really discrediting city girls standpoint in the hip hop industry because of course i just gave
them the flowers but i do want to point out that i believe at this point in time the world
listening to city girls it's just not going to happen so that's just how i could put outside that's the
nicest way i can put it i ain't going to lie to you and um i guess only time would tell because i mean to
to correct myself i was wrong about offset i say he was going to sell 10 to 20 000 that man's on projected his
projections have went up to like 70, 80,000 first week. So, hey, I can be wrong. I'm wrong
all the time. Not all the time. Hey, definitely not wrong all the time. You know, I was right
about Donda too. Don't forget about that. A lot of people be believing these musicians. But
anyways, yeah, I'm wrong sometimes, but most times, you know, I'm pretty on the nose. But with
this, I don't think it's really going to make that much noise in the hip-hop landscape. I don't
think that's too crazy to say. So anyways, click my link tree in my bio. Let me know one of my social
media's what do you think about city girls dropping a new album raw and will you be giving it a raw listen tonight
