On her new single, “My Body,” Leray takes ownership of her s...exuality, paying no mind to what any sex shamers have to say. The song features a rather x-rated interpolation of “It’s My Party” by Lesley Gore, as Leray lays down the law for trifling men. source: Coi Leray Owns Her Sexuality On Her Nostalgic-Sounding New Single, 'My Body' (uproxx.com)Privacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

Starting point is 00:00:00 They say the music industry is all about timing and what better time to release a track titled My Body than finishing a public beef with the rapper Lotto. Now, if you're wondering, at this point, they've reconciled because it was all a misunderstanding. Of course, right? Anyway, so Lotto put out a track called Put It on the Flow. and she was basically dissing Nikki Minaj, but one of the lyrics read, Blunt Big is Coila Ray. She said something before that.
Starting point is 00:00:37 Oh, she said smoking on that gas. Blunt Big is Coil-Rae. Now, I don't know what that means because I don't smoke, but at the end of the day, Quora Ray was not happening. She went straight to Twitter to let people know that she was displeased by the verse saying, quote, Lotto, bye. Here you go talking about my body. Please do not come on here to talk about nobody, body.
Starting point is 00:01:02 And she put body in all capital letters. So I feel like there's a little bit of behind the scenes knowledge that Quorae may be privy to because everybody knows, you know, sometimes you want to build a body. And ain't nothing wrong with that, you know, to each his own. But if a person who's all natural may have a slimmer build. and then somebody like Lotto, of course, is more, if you would say, you know, uh, voluptuous, you know what I'm saying? No, that's right. So at the end of the day, there's really no beef.
Starting point is 00:01:35 And her coming off of that and basically being displeased by the lyric made Lotto come back on stage. I think she was at, what was she at? Coachella. Yeah, it was for her Coachella set. And she basically cleared it all up publicly because the track. that she put out before that was public. So she came out publicly and said, quote, she performed a song and they said, quote,
Starting point is 00:02:02 by the way, I love your body. And then she was basically talking about Coil-Leray. So it wasn't like a disc record to her. It was really towards Nicki Minaj. But saying you're blunt is as big as Coila-Rae can be taken different ways when you're talking about women in the physical physique. It can always go left,
Starting point is 00:02:22 even if you're complimenting. So with Coyleray, she basically came back and said, quote, it was a disc record with my name on it. It had me confused, but much love, Toledo, appreciate to compliment. So, you know, I love to see women in the hip hop industry not beefing because it's not too many of them as successful as they are in the space of a lot of males running it. Because basically if you look at the top sales and hip hop, you'll be hard pressed to find any women on any of the top selling list, unless the Nicki Minaj or maybe Lauren Hill, or maybe if they have high sales,
Starting point is 00:03:02 then they're probably an R&B singer like Siza and Summer Walker. So anyways, Quayla Ray basically try to capitalize off of that opportunity by putting out a single titled My Body. Now, I don't think this is a lead-up to any type of album. I literally just think that she got, she received so much publicity offered a public beef with her and Lotto that she was like, let me just put out a track title of my body.
Starting point is 00:03:29 So maybe that would get as much coverage as my beef will lotto. But if you if you know anything about the internet, then you probably know that beef gets covered 10 times more than actual positivity. So this track by Coila Ray, I don't really see it doing anything as far as being the hit, quote, unquote, or being number 10, top 10 or top 20 on the billboard. If you've seen the sales of Coiloh Ray, it's just, it's really nothing spectacular. Like, it's not good, basically. And that's compared to appears, of course, not comparing her to regular independent artists. but at the end of the day,
Starting point is 00:04:15 I feel like Coil-Leray could use a lot of publicity for her music. So her capitalizing off of this now finalized B Fulotto I think it's the right move and we'll see how her fans react to it. So anyways, click my link to your bio,
Starting point is 00:04:36 let me know in one of my social medias. What do you think about Coir-Loray dropping a track titled My Body? And what did you think of the whole back and forth between her and Lotto.
