Starting point is 00:00:00 See whenever Corday is not putting up airball layups at festivals like DreamCon he's actually doing what the fans love him for as far as dropping 81 points in the booth because ladies and gentlemen Corday and Anderson Pack is back with another one as if you don't know about R&P if you don't know about two tens these are the previous collaborations between Coridan Anderson Pack that should have left you no worry as far as the future release from these two that's now in the form of summer drop as this is just in line with their past two collaborations in terms of quality because this is straightfire now getting into the beat at first the break of the beat at the very beginning
Starting point is 00:01:00 had me thinking that it was a Neptune's produced beat. To my surprise, and I have to give it up when credit is due. Jermaine Cole is the one who produced this track Summer Drop, and not going to lie, I think the beat carries its own weight as far as the vibe of the entire track, because when it starts off, Corday gets into his chorus, and he gives up his half bar at the beginning, and then Anderson Pack jumps in and then finishes off the chorus with his half.
Starting point is 00:01:37 It's not like a half bar, but the half of the chorus, the other half of the chorus. So they basically share the weight when it comes to that. But playing off of each other and also playing into the beat, it's apparent that these two definitely know how to collaborate with one another because sometimes you get two artists who are very similar in style. So it just sounds like one person, but there's two names. games on the track with corday and Anderson pack their styles are so unique and different that an entire collaborative effort from these two would be phenomenal
Starting point is 00:02:10 hopefully that's the way that they have considered going because I think this would be the best thing for both of them I'm not saying that Corday has fallen off definitely not saying this impact is falling off but one of the things I was really waiting for was the Silk Sonic 2 and ladies and gentlemen I don't know if you know but Bruno Mars currently has the third most played song in the world. So, yeah, as far as putting out another collaborative project, he's probably not rushing anytime soon. So I think for Anderson-Pack, Corday is the perfect alternative of Bruno Mars
Starting point is 00:02:44 to make a collaborative project with. Now, do I think it'll be as highly acclimated or not acclimated, highly critically acclaimed like the Silk Sonic album was? Time will only tell because the type of tracks that they put out together, talking about him and Corday is very, very high quality. Top tier, just lyricism, chorus, bridge versus everything. And to add along to that, you actually have a beat that's not only produced well, but produced by a Grammy award winner himself and Germain.
Starting point is 00:03:21 And so that's the, that's the, I've hit my limit on the amount of praise I'm sending Jermaine's way because of course we still know that man's a hip hop timeout so with that being said considered summer drop is just the second single of corday is following the saturday mornings which featured little way and was also fire which is shaping up to me to be one of the better hip hop albums of 2024 now i did listen to big shan's entire album and i did tell y'all uh if you've listened to my past segments about big shan he used to be my favorite rapist until you stop putting out music right and then Drake took over and then from there it was just nothing was the same pun intended so with that being said I think my opinion on big Sean's album
Starting point is 00:04:10 will have to wait because I do not want to disrespect one of my previous favorite artists and as far as the quality of his music so after listening to his album I was just thinking to myself well definitely not going to review this anytime soon so hopefully my opinion changes out on the second third or fourth listen but it's funny how i'm praising germane because in the same light big sean put out something i thought was very germane-esque as far as being complete nightquil music but i said i wasn't going to give a review on big sean's album but y'all can probably uh get a sentiment of what my review was based off that so anyways let's get back to high quality raps so um corday corday anderson pack really really are phenomenal together and i just think it's a
Starting point is 00:04:59 parent that these two put out an album together, especially with the whole Bruno Mars and this impact collaborative album not happening anytime soon. Since Bruno Mars is technically doing it by himself right now, I mean, the track that he has, as far as the third most play track in the world currently does have Lady Gaga on it. So, you know, that probably helps out a little bit. And, you know, she is a part of the Joker movie. I think she's playing Harley Quinn. I think it's lady gaga it may be somebody else is it lady gaga or you know i i get yeah i'm not going to say i get i'm confused but let me make sure it's not another one i'm thinking about because i think it is her but maybe somebody else okay so it is um yeah it is lady gaga okay
Starting point is 00:05:47 at first i was about to say madonna i was like yeah i don't think they're the same person so anyways that's all i really have to say about their collaborative effort as far as corday and Anderson Pack the biggest thing I want to get at is just that if you really had this amount of chemistry with another talented musician then a whole collaborative effort has to come. R&P
Starting point is 00:06:10 210s, Summer Drop and if you don't know what I'm talking about let me pull this up. So R&P is from his album The Lost Boy, which came out in 2019, one of the better tracks off that album. Two Tens is a single in itself.
Starting point is 00:06:26 that came out January 25th, 2023. That was fire in itself, one of the better songs of last year. And then to come out with this, as far as summer drop in the summer, well, technically towards the tail end of the summer, and it still be one of the better tracks
Starting point is 00:06:42 that's been released this year, I think is a testament to both of these respective artists, artistry and how serious they take the craft. So, of course, you probably already know Corday from other, collaborations such as the late juice worlds track as far as doomsday from the lyrical lemonade album which had an m&m sample i don't know if y'all know but that's very hard very hard to get that
Starting point is 00:07:11 cleared um in general so to get an m&m sample cleared and then i also have m&m hop on that same beat on that same album i think it's just very significant and it just marks another yet a another cosign for corday i mean little wayne m and m i mean at this point i know we talked about jack harlowe and the way he got slaughtered by drake off of the uh the something freestyle i forget what it was it was like the it was like a rodeo type thing that carlo let me see yeah so church hero downs the way that this man just got completely slaughtered by drake on his own album I would advise Corday to do the exact same thing because I think I think the outcome would be a little interesting. I'm not saying that Corday outwraps Drake by any stretch of imagination,
Starting point is 00:08:05 but I think this version of Churchill Downs, if done by Corday, would be a much better track, well, would be a better track considering Corday is a better lyricist than Jack Harlow. I would like to see some type of cosign from the big three as far as a track like church church hills downs where they go back and forth because of course corday kind of did that with little wayne but we all know that little way is more of a legacy act we don't really compare him with the current acts just because of what he's accomplished for decades but as far as the new age I would love to see see him go up against a germane a kendrick a drake just lyrically back and forth and have a church hill downs type of track i think i think that's something that um should happen and has to happen as far as the next step
Starting point is 00:08:59 in his uh creative process but as far as this specific track i mean i would be hard-pressive to believe we actually get a corday and an anderson pack collaborative project only because we already received a single and this is a second single so if this was the first single it made me think like oh maybe they're putting out a collaborative album but this is this since this is the second single and the first single was with little wayne i think both of these tracks is just going to end up on his album that comes out whether this year and next year but would definitely end up being one of the better hip-hop albums of 2024 um and already said that by one of the projects that i just finished listening to and let's just say um i take back that but uh i take back that sentiment when
Starting point is 00:09:44 it comes to that project but you know big sean's album could grow on me and um hopefully it does pause so with that being said uh click my link tree in my bio let me know my click my link to my bio let me know in one of my social media is what do you think about core day and anderson packs track uh summer down summer drop and also as far as his album which i don't think i said the title yet but as far as this album the crossroads that's expected to be released later this year do you think it would be the best hip-hop album of 2024 Thank you.
