Dasha has released a new single titled Austin and the main thing about this is it gained a lot of popularity due to the viral TikTok line dance.
And that's one of the reasons I'm even covering this song because as far as impacting the masses, the song reached 25th on the Billboard Hot 100 and currently it is at 20 as far as the 20th most played song in the world.
been on a charge for about 15 weeks and it peaked at number 19 so as far as one of those things where
tic talk shows its influence once again is massive influence on the music industry we can now quantify
this error as the tic talk era you think that the u.s government UMG is pulling all these strings
and loopholes to try to get tic talk up out of here for no reason it's because random songs put out
way in the past or yeah because February 16th is when this track came out 2024 as far as her uh
no that was her album i don't know when the actual track came out but anyways it was released in the
past and blew up off of the via uh what's a track uh i think it's viral virality is that word anyways
the virulness of the ticot line dance is why i even blew up once again so
So Dasha choreographed the line dance to promote the song, which quickly caught on.
And honky talks?
What is?
Nah, bro, what is that?
I don't know.
Is that a slurry?
I'm not taking that out.
All right.
So, and that's also on social media as far as, like, the, how it came about type behind-the-scenes action.
But Austin was one of the anthems.
as far as oh okay so yeah Austin was the lead single for the album what happens now that was
released on February 16th 2024 so I would assume it came out before the album because it said it was the
lead single so a track coming out that long ago but now comes back on the charts just um and
basically that start of July well the end of June start of July and now it's the 20th most
play song in the world is another testament to just
how impactful TikTok is and I would say how the ringtone era was in the music industry was seeing
a reincarnation of that with the TikTok era anything can blow up if the right TikTok video goes
viral so the whole track is interesting because
when the TikTok instance happened, it quickly amassed millions of views on TikTok.
So the line dance for the video, the line dance video for the track Austin quickly amassed millions of views on TikTok.
And then as far as marketing strategy, Dasher capitalized off the Vara moment by posting multiple videos daily, talking about turning to a TikTok or overnight.
And then the song's presence, guess what, blew up.
And now we see that Austin is the 20th most play song in the world.
Life changing, future changing, all type of stuff as far as being altered because of one video blowing up on TikTok.
Why is this such a big deal?
It's because artists need to understand that this is the best time to blow up if you're
independent. TikTok is the most authentic and genuine way to get your music out to the masses.
If you're not constantly promoting your music through TikTok, you just don't want to make it as a
musician. And that's just a harsh reality. Because if TikTok goes away, all the power falls back
into the major label's hands. Think about that. TikTok is the first tool that we have as independence
that is on the same level, if not even better, than a major label.
So it's just multiple examples that's been influenced with the going viral on TikTok.
Like going viral on TikTok as a musician could be the difference between making $50,000 a month to $5 million a month.
like that's the biggest gap and monetary value when it comes to what you can bring in if you
potentially hit one or get one on TikTok as far as a viral track so anyways hopefully
i'll put down perspective for y'all because sometimes people be like i'm not hopping on that track
it's just i'm not hopping on that platform it's just for people with short attention spans
A them short attention spans is making musicians millionaires, my brother.
And the reason I say musicians is because if you're just a TikToker who makes content
and not music, which I guess music could entail content, content could entail music.
But basically what I'm saying is solely musicians, I think TikTok is the best platform for you.
If you're a different category, I don't know how much money you can make simply off of TikTok.
But as far as the conversion from having a viral video on TikTok to how many streams you're getting on the music platforms,
there's been too many examples to let you know that TikTok is the wave.
And we are now in the TikTok error when it comes to blowing up musically.
There's something else.
Oh, Dasha announced that she will be having a headline tour in Dashville, USA, to support her album, What Happens Now?
And the tour begins August 12th and Stockholm and includes international and North American dates concluding on November 15th in Atlanta.
And the ticket sales, no, no, the pre-sales have already begun.
And, yeah, that's basically it.
So she's on tour.
If you're a fan of her, definitely go check her out as maybe she'll do the line dance in person for you.
So anyways, click my link to you in my bio.
Let me know one of my social medias.
