Starting point is 00:00:00 Now there's no way that these two brothers are out here putting out music completely for free. But then on second glance, that's exactly what they're doing. They're doing this solely for the art. They care none about making revenue off of these disc tracks. But then you know what I'm saying? I was like, damn, look at the state of hip hop. Like, what's going on? You got a love in hip hop when somebody just wants to dish you purely,
Starting point is 00:00:32 purely for the hatred out of their heart instead of wanting a monetary incentive attached to them releasing a distract towards you now the reason why i'm saying that is because of course daylight and joey is currently going back and forth and what daylight just did on word to my mother is that you're supposed to say it in new york slang anyways um he talked about something very interesting as far as bleeping out the of this track now of course analytic dreams video on Spotify to see the entire track list that currently have up as far as the back and forth as you can see there's been every single la artist to jump out of the woodworks to go at it to go at Joey and you can see the titles and tracks right here so you can look it up for yourself anyways um this man said if the world
Starting point is 00:01:28 knew what censor knew they'd see i can't even say the rest of that you know when it comes to the battle rap it's very interesting how whenever people start dissoning each other they turn into well it turns into a contest on who can become the best federal bureau investigative agent right because when you're looking at somebody and you're able to dissect their entire life to know exactly what would push his buttons it's almost like beefing with one another is literally becoming more of a fan of one another because now you got to know any and everything about that individual's life so that you could go at it and make him uncomfortable so anyways with that being said this line at first glance is talking about capital stees if you don't know
Starting point is 00:02:24 capital stees self transition and with that being said a lot of people came to uh came to retort the fact that this was towards Steve's because he says jump off a bridge, right? That's the part I didn't want to get to, but I had to drum up the courage here. I'm like, what in the world type of cancellation? Verbi is just this. So anyways,
Starting point is 00:02:48 him following up but if the world knew what's and soon knew about you, they jump off a bridge too, which is completely and that's an insane statement. But when rap and everything's on the table, right? As Kendrick currently has one
Starting point is 00:03:03 of the most popular hip-hop tracks of all time and guess what the subject matter is i rest my case so anyways let's keep going so he talks about jumping off a bridge and people are saying that this is comparing uh this is talking about ab so not talking about capital stees as they believe when it comes to capital stees he did not jump off a bridge but ab so which is very interesting because ab so is from l a i believe so what in the world goes through Daylight's mind to take a shot at Ab's soul. Is it because he was on the Red Bull freestyle?
Starting point is 00:03:41 Is it because Joey said all of those blasphemous statements about daylight, which were fired, by the way? I mean, you got to watch my Red Bull freestyle reaction as I broke down the daylight flips because Joey going crazy with the daylight made me even look up daylight to the point where I found out all about this beef through that freestyle so now if your abso if your abso's standing right there as he gets hands feet
Starting point is 00:04:08 and elbows off on your homie you can't be mad that daylight's response has a bar referring to one of the lowest points in your life so it's very interesting how those two intersect um being from the same place so i don't know how ab soul will take this daylight this but at the end of the day a lot of people was pinpointing this bar towards capital stees but in all actuality to jump off the bridge part is more applicable to ab soul and who was joey just on the red bull freestyle with getting back into one of the longest abbreviated tracks i've seen in life as far as daylight and his approach to joey just being the most disrespectful human being he can in the midst of a rap battle i believe that gives them the upper hand because Joey seemingly just wants to just wants to keep it
Starting point is 00:05:02 specifically rap double triple entendres using somebody's name flipping it all type of ways as daylight even said himself that Joey is probably gonna flip my name and to come at me but when it comes to Joey he hasn't strayed from that he's specifically focusing on name flips double triple entendres and letting you know that he's from New York right as when it comes to word to my mother and playing off of all the New York slaying and having the track accompanied by a New York style video opening with a Drake clip of my Joe easy wonder world I don't know what that means but basically when he's talking about the West Coast defender
Starting point is 00:05:57 and ultimately letting him know that if you're going to get into the depths of battle rap, just know that I've been doing this for quite some time. As if you don't know, daylight has a huge background when it comes to battle rap to the point where someone will say he's one of the better battle rappers, if not the best. So I think this is going to end up being very interesting because I don't think there's really too much disrespect you can um it's not a lot of elevated disrespect bars that i believe can come from daylight because you know calling out somebody for self-transitioning and saying this because of joey i mean that's already pretty disrespectful at that point you probably have to go to the parents or the
Starting point is 00:06:44 kids and you know at this point LA rappers are bound to take it to you know what to get that port across so i don't know what daylight's going to end up doing in the continuation and the continuation of this beef. But what I do know is that Joey is holding his own. I do believe that Ray Vaughn's error track, which I already cover if you type in, Ray Vaughn analytic dreams with a Z, it should pop up. I think Ray Vaughn's error track is the best track in this entire beef,
Starting point is 00:07:13 which is funny because daylight and Joey seems to be the main attraction currently. But anyway, so that being said, click my link to your bio. Let me know in one of my social medias. What do you think about words to my mother? And what do you think about this being the longest abbreviated track in history?
