Starting point is 00:00:06 Of course, Analytic Dreams video on Spotify to see the video along with the audio, because I'm currently playing gameplay from the Star Wars Outlaws. At the top, where it should be. Of course, that's the main protagonist of the game. If you don't know, the name is KVest, the main character of the game. And of course, we have a person there raiding it, but I'm talking over him, so we're going to mute that. but the main point for Star Wars outlaws is for you to know that this is the first ever Star Wars game being set in an open world.
Starting point is 00:00:50 That's the biggest thing you need to know. Because as far as having an open world game set in the Star Wars universe, I mean, what could go wrong, right? I mean, that's the same thing they said about to act like, and people are acting the fool. You know what I'm saying? So with that being said, let's get into more positive reviews as Star Wars Outlaws is seemingly showing promise as the gameplay they showcase is fantastic showing an open world adventure with multiple options that seemingly will affect how the story plays out. And that's a big deal because if you don't know, one of the bigger plights I have where open world games is false. choices basically what I mean by that is having a question
Starting point is 00:01:40 and then your response could be A, B, or C, then all the outcomes lead up to A, right? So if you have different ways of playing the game, I believe you should have different outcomes at the end of the game if it's based in the open world in an actual RPG. So as far as the story IP,
Starting point is 00:02:02 I don't know how much liberty they've been given to just expand with this video game. But apparently, it should take you about 25 to 35 hours to beat the game as far as the main storyline. But as far as doing everything in the game, it's saying that it would take you around 50 to 60 hours. So definitely will tell you that this game is going to be lengthy and it would take you a minute to beat, which if done right as far as the story, I think can be encaptivating to most. Because the biggest thing for me when it comes to this game is the story. As you can see right now, the space travel. You can get in space dog fights and then on ground. You can go into stealth missions, side missions, bounty quests, the transitions from planet to planet.
Starting point is 00:03:00 is smooth to the point where it's more of a starfield than starfield you know what I'm saying like look at this right here as far as the transition because I've already watched this of course but you're traveling to a planet right obviously says initiate landing and then the loading screen it's very interesting because it's showing you going into the planet and not only is it showing you going to the planet I believe you probably could skip this just like in mass effect when you're able to skip when you're going to a but as far as this they're showing you how you go into the planet and that transition from getting into the planet is straight fire I'm not going to lie to you that that's if they do that for every planet
Starting point is 00:03:42 which I'm assuming they are that is a fire transition so with the open world setting it seems like they put a lot of thought into the overall aspects of making an open world game because it's a lot that goes into an open world game I mean needless to say right but As far as the important details, this game is coming out on every platform. Well, not every platform. It's coming out on PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X and S. Release date is August 30th, August 27th for early access with the Ultimate Edition.
Starting point is 00:04:22 So keep that in mind if you wanted to pay for the Ultimate Edition, which I believe I have up here. Yeah, so the base game is $70. The gold edition is $109. the ultimate addition is $129 offering additional content in early access. So if you think about that, you know, it's up to you to decide if you want to pay that extra price to get like, what was it, three days early access? I don't know if it's worth it as far as the 70 versus the $130. Like, it's not, I don't know if it's worth it.
Starting point is 00:04:56 But for hardcore Star Wars fans, they probably got it. You know what I'm saying? They probably got it and will probably spend it. So yeah. With that being said, the biggest thing is that you will be a bounty hunter in the main element of the story is you have a companion, Nix, who assists with a lot of tasks and a lot of actions as far as mechanics. And I think one portion of this gameplay kind of showcase that. Yeah, right here, I believe. Nick's attack
Starting point is 00:05:34 Yeah that's one of the main ways you can use your assistant Via you know I mean it's like a pet But you know also helps you on combat As far as stealth and things of that nature So you know a lot of things in this game Gunplay stealth mechanics Space dog fights platforming I mean you name it
Starting point is 00:05:52 So that's why I'm saying that the story Will be the thing that drives this home Because it's saying Well seemingly the people with hands-on Earlier impressions are saying that It doesn't do anything like unique, but if the story is just straight up fire, it doesn't need to do anything unique because it could just lay its head on having a tremendous story. Sort of like Star Wars Jedi Survivors. Well, I mean, no, the gameplay for that was amazing.
Starting point is 00:06:22 But let's not get twisted. That's my game of the year for 2023. I don't know why I didn't get any nominations or anything in that nature. I think it's because of the launch and have an optimal. as it was but for me personally it ran fine for me and that's still to this day my favorite game of twenty three and spider man too comes out uh came out and y'all know how i feel about spider man as a character so yeah that's how that's why i'm probably going to play this game because i just think we're in a i'm not going to say a golden age of star wars video games because of course back in the
Starting point is 00:06:55 day you had games like um kotor you have games like star wars unleashed and those in his own sense or just straight up classics. So I'm not going to say we're in a golden age of Star Wars video games. But I will say that with the Calcestis storyline going on, and if this one is actually as great as people are saying it is, I think we can make an argument for it being another golden age in the Star Wars fandom when video games are considered. So with that being said, a lot of things,
Starting point is 00:07:31 are talked about as far as the timeline and just to you know set the official word it's set between the empire strikes back and the return of the jedi so exactly where calcest's storyline is taking place so that's why people are assuming that calcestis may end up showing up in this video game which i mean if you look at it technically he fits right in you know what i mean like as far as the storyline and how they're both looking for certain things in the universe and how their storylines can mesh and they can have a collab game where it could be like a system where you could choose whether to go with um what's her name again where you could choose to go with kvests or calcestis and if you think about it i mean it already has a ring to it you know what i'm
Starting point is 00:08:24 saying so that's the biggest thing there's a lot of other stuff that's kind of a school so i wanted to concise and condense everything to give you the main uh overview of this game and you know with this gameplay is more grounded i talk about calcesters but kay vs is more grounded you know just being a simple bounty hunter and them showing the rancourt right here like i'm not going to lie to you they better not have no mj moment in spider man two where she just straight up one v ones of rancourt she better run away from a rancor if she sees one I think it's, uh, I think it shows it. Where is it?
Starting point is 00:09:08 Oh, yeah, right here. If she 1V1s or Rancor, I don't want to hear no more about the MJ missions and Spider-Man, too, because let me tell you, that just, that should be impossible. Like, no mere bounty hunter should be able to take out Rancourt. I know y'all talking about, like, Boba Fett or something, but that's like the top of the top. Like, maybe, you know what I mean? But Rancor is usually the cream of the crop. Like, even Calcestis has trouble with it.
Starting point is 00:09:33 But I don't want nerd out. Y'all, you know, I don't want nerd out too much. So, anyways, that's basically the premise of the game. At the end of the day, another addition to the Star Wars legacy. And it seemingly is going to be a high-quality edition, which is a great timing, you know, because it seems like people ain't really messing with the Acolyte. So with Star Wars Outlaws set to come out August 30th, August 27th, people who want to pay that $130 for the Ultimate Edition. hopefully is a nice change of pace when it comes to the discourse with Star Wars content.
Starting point is 00:10:12 So with that being said, click my link to share in my bio. Let me know one of my social media is. What do you think about Star Wars outlaws as a whole? And are, well, what's the biggest thing that stands out to you when it comes to Star Wars outlaws? And are you going to be purchasing the game?
