Now before we get into the details of the Disney and Epic Games collaboration, of course, we have to start with the teaser trailer, which basically depicts what the future holds as far as this whole new project is concerned.
So what we're going to do is, well, for people over at my podcast platform, make sure to go to Analytic Dreams video on Spotify to get the video along with the audio.
So basically we're going to watch the trailer.
Then I'm going to get into the news about everything breaking down the whole Disney and Epic Games collaboration.
But first I want you to see the teaser trailer right here.
Once again, analytic dreams video on Spotify for the video along with the audio.
So anyways, let's get right into it.
Discover a place.
Oh, you got love the narration.
We're magic.
This seems like such a spoof, but this is actually from the
from the actual account
like Fortnite
it's not a spoof it's like a real
thing that they put out
and the reason I'm saying it like that is because
this narration makes it seem so much like a parody
but it's actually not like this is real life
so anyways let's keep going
all right hold up
you already know what I care about
I love how they say Marvel and only show
X-Men characters I think at this point in time
I mean it's gonna be a side tangent but
too long I think at this point in time Marvel just needs to go the Fox route which is
completely focusing on X-Men characters and just forget about the Avengers phase and just
basically make the X-Men the new Avengers so that when the overall team-up movie
happens then we can reset the universe and then get back into Avengers and X-Men
being separate because if you're a comic book reader and this is my last you know
take on this is you know last
thoughts on it. Marvel never had great stories when it came to combining Avengers and the X-Men.
They've always did it well separate. It was like their own universes in itself. So for them to
collab in the comic books, it never really went over too well. Let me just put it like that.
So I think that they should obviously focus on X-Men characters, which they technically are doing
with Deadpool and X-Men and X-Men, the 90s, the 90s.
1970 series or whatever but anyways that's just my little two cents on that so I think they're
going into the right direction completely focusing on X-Men which makes it funny that only X-Men
characters are in his trailer oh no my there goes uh Captain America well he doesn't count he's
he's always around technically I mean that man never I mean they aged him up but he really could
never die honestly and that is the depiction everybody's talking about right here hold it I don't know
how much of a clear look we're going to get.
Okay, that was basically it.
Let me see.
So right here is what everybody's talking about.
It even says most replayed in the trailer.
I like how YouTube has that feature.
Okay.
So basically, obviously, you see in the top left, ESPN, Marvel, Lucasfilm, which, you know,
it's the Disney brands.
And, I mean, all of this is the Disney brands, but that's just more of the sports
division, superheroes, Star Wars.
division obviously in the middle I'm not too familiar with all of the I piece I do know
next to the centerpiece that's the inside I don't even know how to say it I never
watched the movie but the in and out the inside and outside whatever that movie is
the popular movie that's the tower for it and basically they're not making like a
complete replica of Disney World out of Orlando of course because with video game
technology well with video game imagery you could do
way more. So I think it would be just a much more expansive version of Disney World, just obviously
for the video game ecosystem. I mean, imagine having a two, I don't want to compare that.
Imagine having an open world where you're walking around in a more glorified Disney World,
if that makes sense. Like everything you look at is Disney Own and it reminds you of Disney World,
but just 10 times better because now it's animated to the point where they can have,
oh no, take more liberties when it comes to creativity.
So I just think this is a more enhanced version of Disney World that you're going to be
experienced in a video game format.
So I think that's pretty cool, honestly.
Anyways, let's finish the teaser trailer.
And then there goes Disney, you know, flexing all of their brands.
You know what I mean?
I almost had to look up the definition of Monopoly.
You know what I mean?
All them brands, look at that.
Hold up. I don't think I realized. Look at all this. Well, Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, Avatar.
That's ridiculous. If that ain't a monopoly, I don't know what it is. But anyways,
let's go back to the map. That's the biggest thing everybody was looking at.
All right. So I'm just going to stop it right there. Actually, I'm just going to let it play and just mute it.
That's what we're going to do. So I'm just going to play it from the beginning. All right.
So anyways, now that we watch the teaser trailer, let's get into the overall tidbits of the Disney epic
games collaboration because obviously it's a big deal i mean if putting 1.5 billion to acquire an
equity stake in epic games isn't a big deal they don't know what is because a billion dollars is a lot
i don't know if that needs to be said obviously not but for disney it may not seem like a lot because
you know they basically print money at this point but they are in a interesting tidbit to where actually
Let me go back to this.
So you see all these brands right here?
Marvel, everybody is saying it's falling off
and they put in way too much,
well, they have a way too much output
to where the fans aren't really messing with any Marvel movies.
Star Wars, they say they completely messed up
the next trilogy in the sense that
Finn or whatever, the black character
was supposed to become a Jedi or whatever,
and that really made fans upset when he didn't.
I mean, obviously it's way more than that.
But Star Wars fans were not a fan
of the new trilogy let's just say that and then Pixar i don't really know too much about that i think
Pixar always does well avatar i think the last movie did well so those two brands are doing well
so anyways uh but star wars marvel is one of those where definitely could use some help when it
comes to um just creativity and trying to find more engaging a more engaging audience because a lot of
people are just falling off of keeping up with Marvel and Star Wars simply for the fact that
they just believe that Disney is out here just putting out cash grabs under the new IP that
they've acquired. So with them putting stake into Epic is more of a collaboration to create
a Fortnite connected environment where they've already had a huge track record and making
video games using other people's IP and making them more intriguing to.
the masses. I mean, how many times have you heard a little kid referred to a popular character
that's been around since the 90s or 80s as a Fortnite character? Like, oh, that's, uh, that's so-and-so
from Fortnite or that's so-and-like, basically that's the musician from Fortnite or that's the
character, the fighter from Fortnite. Like, no, that's, that's, uh, Goku from, from like years and
decades and decades of, of just content and they just are referred to as Fortnite characters now.
So for Disney to put a whole stake, well, 1.5 billion up as far as for equity, it makes sense because Fortnite is really taken over the gaming industry and just the masses as a whole.
So, of course, this whole collaboration is built to make a world of Disney Plaza, which is basically the digital space that includes themes from franchises like The Nightmare Before Christmas, cars, the Avengers, corporate logos for Disney Plus,
uh like ESPN i mean you may see uh stephen a smith walking around that's how crazy this
collab may be and then 20th century studios virtual disney cruise ships and recognizable characters
like group are featured so there's a lot of things that you get when you acquire um the license
to be creative with disney characters so i'm glad that fortnight received it even though a lot of people
are just out there like oh here goes disney ruining another brand i think fortnight is such a
a polarizing and a no fortnight is such a staple in the gaming industry in today's age that there's
just no way that this collaboration would not work but um obviously there's this room to be
skeptical because Disney having huge IPs there's been track record of them messing it up so it's not
like a hundred percent surefire hit but i do think that fortnight would be able to take over creatively
enough to make this work if that makes sense so of course they imply that they're going to have a
social virtual tourism uh aspect allowing users to hang out with friends and engage in various activities
once again going back to the whole disney world for a video game i really like the concept that they
are going with as if they make this VR like forget video games for a second
Like if they make this VR to where you just walk around the whole entire Disney world as a character and you're experiencing other characters in real life,
this could end up being the new, really, Fortnite.
I mean, Fortnite's already big in itself, so it's only competing against itself.
This could be the new height or the new peak that Fortnite sets for itself as far as standards.
Because the possibilities are endless, which is why a lot of people are skeptical,
because, you know, there's also possibilities to mess it up.
But let's just try, you know, try to be positive
and hope that Epic Games of Disney will figure out this Disney world idea.
So anyways, obviously, I'm not going to keep beating a dead horse,
but it's going to be a theme park style, all-encompassing entertainment experience.
The partnership would be a multi-year project aiming to combine Disney stories
with Fortnite's open world and, and, and, terrible.
I can't say that.
And ecosystem.
What else?
That's basically it.
I mean,
Disney, Pixar,
Marvel, Star Wars, Avatar.
I'm trying to see anything I missed.
That's basically it.
I mean, a lot of people not even talking about this collab,
which makes me very,
very hesitant to say it's going to be
like just the biggest thing since sliced bread.
But to me personally,
I think this is going to be insanely popular.
Like, forget GTA.
hey, I could see this having like a huge decade plus run as far as, because they do say it's
multi-year project, but obviously you can have extensions based on performance, right?
So I think if they make this Disney World and the way that I think they're going to make it,
they could literally make this the biggest game ever.
I mean, you see this right here for people over at analytic dreams video.
I think this depiction is something to where you're going to be exploring this for the next,
10 to 20 years to come and obviously they're going to keep building upon it because it's just so much
rich IP for Disney that you will want to just explore every crevice it's almost like a cyberpunk or a
final fantasy it's like a world in itself with so many characters that it just you want to keep
exploring so I don't really see the downside of this and I think there's going to be a big deal when
it eventually comes into fruition
But obviously at the end of the day, this is just one big investment by Disney in terms to collaborate with Epic Games to hopefully make a groundbreaking entry into the gaming and Metaverse space.
So only time will tell if this ends up being a successful investment or not.
But one thing I will say is that it would definitely offer Disney fans and not even Disney fans, but video game fans and people.
who want to yeah basically video game fans a unique experience and for VR people a virtual
experience with their favorite Disney franchises so with that being said click my link tree in
my bio let me know one of my social medias what do you think about Disney's investment in the
epic games 1.5 billion investment into epic games and also at the end of the day do you think
that this whole collaboration will end up making this one of the biggest games of
all time.
