Now, at this point, I think we legitimately need a Hall of Fame specifically contributing to hip hop, like a hip hop hall of fame.
And we need to have one of the first people being inducted, indicted, what is this, Donald Trump?
Now, I just play inducted into the hip hop hall of fame being one of the people need to be DJ drama.
And I know y'all may think I'm joking.
I'm being so serious when I'm saying this.
I think the mixtape era
wouldn't have been what it was
if it wasn't for DJ drama.
This man, if you ever watch a documentary
about DJ drama and his rise to stardom,
literally had the FBI
busting through his
studio to collect all the
I think of what they call it back in the day.
It was when you
put something on a blank CD and sold it.
I forget what that was called.
But basically, DJ Drama did that the best.
I mean, not the best, but he was one of the most popular to do that as far as in the
mixtape era, you know, making you on, I think it was called burning.
You like burn it onto another CD, you start selling it, stuff like that.
So, um, mixtates, he had a real impactful hand in the way that mixtapes are viewed today.
So hopefully it makes sense to y'all.
But anyways.
I'm getting back into it.
The reason I'm even talking about him is because he released a new album called I'm
really like that.
And for those who didn't know that DJ Drama was really like that, well, and the title,
he's trying to remind you basically.
So obviously for hip-hop fans, for OG hip-hop fans, they know that DJ drama has been
putting in like decades worth of work into the hip-hop genre, like probably 20 years plus
of years.
like i'm not years probably 20 years plus of work like no exaggeration dj drama has been in this
for so long and he still looks young but that's kind of crazy anyways um yeah so this new album
um has a lot of highly anticipated artists as far as like people anticipating these artists to drop
obviously he has uh oozy you know um a lot of people's come out hating like i never want to hear
DJ drama yelling on songs ever again because you know he has a whole thing with gangster grills
which is a part of that Tyler the creator album where he stole the best rap album from Kanye West
but anyways um yeah with DJ drama yelling on songs it's like one of the biggest things that
you know people attribute to DJ drama because I mean he's a DJ like the poster yell over
tracks like that but now he's kind of in the DJ Calette lane and that's even a
disrespected drama because he's in his own lane but I'm just trying to um paint a picture for people
who may not know DJ drama he's like the he's like the DJ Calais when it comes to
respect in the industry from artists so he has a lot of high um high what's the word publicized
artists on his album he doesn't just have the up-and-coming or the underground rappers on his stuff
he has the top of the top giving him verses for his album i mean he literally has um little uzi and jack harlowe
as his um artist that he signed so anyways it's the sixth solo album a follow-up to quality street music
which was released in 2016 so that's how long it's been since dj drama released the entire body
of work and then also um this is i know you're like that dude in the hip-hop industry
Barack Obama paid homage to one of the most important movies, you know, of course, in hip-hop culture, Jews.
And additionally, it was a lot of things happening around that, but apparently DJ Drama is attached to that as far as his acting debut or something like that.
Like, he's acting in it.
But anyways, back to this album.
So DJ Drama feels like he needs to remind that he's reminded, that he's reminded us.
that he's really that dude because after the whole little uzi and dj drama beef i think a lot of people
forgot what dj drama contributed to hip-hop like they they just thought he was somebody holding
uzi back and wouldn't let him drop music like first of all that wasn't the case and he even says
that at multiple interviews like uzi can drop so whenever he wants but um basically so uz and uh uzi fans
was really like just very um hateful and spiteful towards dj drama but
But now they're cool, you know, the backing end.
And all these features he has for his album contains the likes of Little Uzi, of course,
Little Baby, Tyler the Creator.
I mean, stop me when I name an underground artist, Little Wayne, Gucci Man, Rick Ross, 42 Doug.
I mean, come on now.
Like the type of respect that DJ Drama earned throughout his 20 plus year tenure in hip hop is not to be understated.
and really to be highlighted
as I feel like there needs to be a hip hop
museum
with DJ drama in it because it's like
the
contribution to the perception of mixtapes
he has a big
hand and a big
he's a big reason why
they looked at the way they are in today's age
and more like for the older people
because of course
mixtap is not really a thing nowadays
like people call it a mixtape just to wrap over popular beats back then it was actually putting your
completely new music onto a mixtape and selling it nowadays people use mixtap for an excuse
to rap over popular beats like i just said so um so yeah um click my link share my bio let me know one of my
social medias what do you think about DJ drama returning like it's been since 2016 since he's
dropped a solo album i mean quote unquote solo but it's
is a producer album titled, I'm Really Like That, and Will You Be Giving It a Listen?
