Track 10 off of Scarlet titled Agura Hills.
Hopefully I said that right.
Probably didn't.
Produced by Earl on the beat, Gent, and Baptiste and Bangs.
Now, I want to go down memory lane because I remember one time somebody said the game is to be sold not told.
Dojicat is under Kim Osabi Records slash RCE records.
Agura Hills is at the top of every single.
single major playlisting from DSPs. What does that mean? People, I'm not going to say are lazy
because a lot of music is released every day at a rapid pace. If you look up how much music comes out
every day, actually, let's look that though. Because I think a lot of people don't realize how much
music comes out every day. They just look at the bigger artists and even that can be overwhelming
to some. These are the top of the top, right? That's why I always say independent artists can't
really compete with major label artists because they can spend money to put you in places that
independent artists just can't and will never get to right more than according to variety
more than a hundred thousand songs are being uploaded digitally on or every day and there's a
significant increase from the 60,000 songs per day that were being uploaded in 2021
And the rise of the number of songs is basically because of the accessibility factor to recording, right?
The barrier to entry is at an all-time low.
And that, to me, is a great thing because back in the day, you had to get on by going to radio stations, having gatekeepers tell you if your music is whack or not, which, like, what do they know?
They've never made a hot track themselves.
but they're at here gatekeeping you to the point where it is do or die because if you don't get on the radio,
you're not going to get heard.
That's why nowadays, I love how anybody could upload music and their talent can be heard from anywhere, right?
I mean, that's how this podcast even got started.
I mean, shout out the Red Circle, put out something, and it gets spread to the masses in ways that I never even fathom before the iPhone was even created.
So that been said, Agura Hills by Dojikads on the top of all DSPs simply for the fact that her major label put in the calls to let them know, hey, our artist, prominent artist DojCat, probably heard of her, is dropping the album title Scarlet.
We need this specific track off of this album to be on top of your playlisting for when people go to New Music Friday.
So now, when the average fan who doesn't really pay attention to music releases, go to their favorite playlist from their favorite DSP, click on the playlist.
they look at the top of it and guess who do you see doja cat and her track agra heels so hopefully
that works out and uh for the best for doja cat because i already said i feel like she's going to
outsell everybody this week and she's definitely going to get number one as far as first week sales
and it hurts my heart to say it but it's a reason drake pushed his album back to october 6 just
two weeks after this date where he was supposed to release his body of work and i think it was simply to dodge
the doja cat smoke and that ladies and gentlemen is it's painful transparency that i did not
want to have but as my favorite artist drake i still have to keep it a buck with that being said
click my link to you in my bio let me know in one of my social media's what do you think about
doja cat's album scarlet if you have you listened to it and if you have what is your favorite
track off of the album scarlet by doger cat
