Starting point is 00:00:03 Oh, I have a thing coming out. I have also a deluxe. Scarlet. Ooh. What's in the deluxe? By the way, analytic dreams video on Spotify to see the video along with the audio. To see this ridiculous. And I mean straight up ludicrous outfit that Doja Cat has on.
Starting point is 00:00:24 But of course, she pulls it off because of the following information that she gives us. Scarlet, it's called it's S2, Claudeford. Frawlo is the name of the deluxe but it's it's just a like a eight song seven songs something like that roughly I mean this outfit is straight up ridiculous this is like
Starting point is 00:00:45 Kermit the Frog's long lost cousin because this whole outfit I don't even know what it is I'm just assuming what it is like maybe if Patrick Rahomes's voice was a character
Starting point is 00:01:01 that would be this outfit but besides that of course we got to keep getting to the information with the deluxe album and i'm just going to let doja cat speak for herself because of course she made it yeah i'm gonna this might sound stupid is claude frollo the guy from yes back of notre dan yeah why did you name it after claude frol um because he is like a is he a tyrant he's just like of he's like uh he's like uh I feel like it connects to the story of Scarlet to some in some way and if you look up his personality traits and like who he is and his story you'll understand kind of the whole the whole connection there's like a control aspect like he just abuses his power and his control and is just like dogmatic and like
Starting point is 00:01:59 is just a total cunt and all Esmeralda wanted to do was just be creative and sing and dance but nasty old Claude Frawlo is just
Starting point is 00:02:14 having a field day on her and just being awful and a bad guy and a stinky man and this isn't about anyone in like there's not anything very personal happening to me with one person
Starting point is 00:02:28 Claude Frollo doesn't depict a single person in my life. It's like a metaphor for the people that creatives endure on a kind of a, yeah, on like a daily basis and like a bigger picture, a bigger scale. And that's kind of what that is. If you just read up on him, it's kind of, it makes sense with the other stuff that I was doing on the other album. The music isn't as angry on this. You know, sometimes I think to myself, any genre. Any genre I could have covered, but I chose hip hop. So anyways, with that being said, of course, Doja Cat is no slouch.
Starting point is 00:03:17 And despite what the internet fodder would like you to believe, Doja Cat is not an artist currently falling off. Like I know in general, the first week sales for Scarlet, which was, it's the most surprising for me as far as 2023 as she only sold 72,000 first week, which if you don't know, the previous album planted her sold 109,000 first week. But what made that so surprising is because, and even to this day, paint the town red is still one of the more successful tracks ever put out as far as hip hop in 2023. Now in the time frame of 2023, that's when I'm framing it. Like that's the capsule.
Starting point is 00:04:06 Paint the Town Red is one of the more popular tracks, successful tracks in 2023 for the genre of hip hop. So you could say I was very surprised to see the sales drop from Planet Herd, which sold 109,000 to Scarlet, which only sold 72,000 first week, which is technically good if you're now on a major label, right? So for Dojiket to be on one of the biggest labels, which is RCA, I think that she should have put up bigger numbers, especially with Paints the Town Red, still to like literally to this day, still doing phenomenal. Like I think she's the top artist as far as streaming on Billboard. Like as far as charting position and the top track, the top track on the charts. It's Doja Cat number 18. Nikki Minaj number 29, ice spices 78. Flo Millie at 83.
Starting point is 00:05:12 Yes, Flo Millie is on the chart. Stop, you know what I mean? Stop making jokes. Come on now. Come on now. Got be civilized. And then Megan the Stallion at number two, a 51 drop off. But we ain't going to talk about that.
Starting point is 00:05:23 So anyways, Doja Cat being at 18 is very interesting because that literally makes her still the most popular hip hop artists and successful artists. when it comes to putting tracks on the charts and making it stick. So I don't know whether Doja Cat is going the organic route and not fluffing her numbers up like a lot of other artists do in the game as far as using a lot of quote unquote button promotion when they hit the button, which technically is jargon for bots, aka paying off radio stations. I think Doja Cat is organically garnering these numbers because there's no way you can consistently put up. numbers on the charts like this and then it comes to your body of work and then people seemingly aren't as interested in the complete project versus one singular track so that's the biggest thing for me i just cannot make the connect from doja cat being successful with music but not when it comes to entire bodies of work but you know that's what's the point so this deluxe edition will include
Starting point is 00:06:32 seven to eight new songs with potential new tracks like acknowledge me head high and hungry once again it's potential we don't know the well actually we do have the i think the i don't think it was leaked but one of her fans quote unquote put out the track list and apparently it's alleged uh acknowledge me i'm not gonna put this up because i don't know if it's a leak or not i acknowledge so if if i'm right then i don't know why i found it if i'm wrong then hey i don't know why i found it so it still still works so anyways Track 1 is acknowledge me. Track 2 is head. Head with the H at the end.
Starting point is 00:07:09 I don't know. Track 3 is gang. Track 4 is mask like M-A-S-C. Track 5 is Rider. Track 6 is like erg? Is that like a... What? Is that like an automatapea?
Starting point is 00:07:24 Anyways. And then track 7 is hungry. So anyways, I'm very excited for that. I think Doja Cat is one of our better rappers in the game. Like male or female, she's just really great sonically vocally putting words together. Like all of that in one, Doja Cat is one of the best I've heard besides the Nicki Minaj. Like if there was a ranking, it would be Nikki, a couple spaces. And then number two, I'll probably put Doja Cat.
Starting point is 00:07:50 And I mean, I guess I get my whole list as far as women rappers. I'll probably say Nikki, by far, Doja Cap, Megan the Stallion, Lotto. and then I would say Rhapsody, but I don't even listen to Rhapsody. Like I would just put her in there because people tell me she's nice, but I don't, like for me it's replayability. Like who can cross over
Starting point is 00:08:12 and make their bars cross over into the short attention span we have today. And so I can't put Rhapsody in there. I would say probably, I would say Bia, the one who made the London track with J. Cole, the best on earth with Russ,
Starting point is 00:08:28 which I still stand by as one of the best tracks ever made in hip-hop. That track is phenomenal. Like, best on earth will happen. Anyways. So anyways, Doja Cap plans to release this debut album, Scarlet, and also previewed the song during the Instagram live session.
Starting point is 00:08:44 This ridiculous Patrick Mahomes voice outfit right here is what she wore to break the news. And so do with that what you will. Deluxe edition, Claude Frollo coming. Oh, just coming soon. She won't even give you a release date. With that being said, click my link tree in my bio. Let me know one of my social medias. Obviously, you can tell I enjoy talking about Doja Cat.
Starting point is 00:09:10 I like, despite what I just said, as far as critique, I really enjoy covering rappers who are talented. They can actually put words together on an effective scale instead of just rhyming, lean with some type of submachine gun. You know what I mean? So anyways, click my link to tree in my bio. Let me know one of my social medias. What do you think about Doja Cat putting out this deluxe edition?
Starting point is 00:09:33 titled Claude Frollo and also what track are you looking forward to? Well, actually, forget that. Where do you rank DojCat amongst today's top rappers?
