Starting point is 00:00:00 Now, who would have thunk that a track with Future and Justin Bieber would have been the highest performer off of your album? Now, if I was Don Tolliver and I was a betting man, I'd probably put all my money on that track being the most popular off of my album. I mean, Future and Justin Bieber, it really gets no better than that. So anyways, Private Landing was first previewed by The Don. I remember when he was trying to get that off, but, you know, nobody was really jacking that because, you know, there's so many other Dons in real life, you know what I mean? anyway, Don Tolliver. In episode four of the Love Sick short film, he teased that there was a feature on this track with the caption feature with a bunch of question marks slash a bunch of question marks.
Starting point is 00:00:41 So he was trying to tell us there was two artists that we should probably get excited for to be on track. And of course, it ended up being a future in Justin Bieber. And speaking on Justin Bieber, this marks the third collaboration between Don Tolliver and Justin Bieber, which makes me even more. more infatuated with Don Tolliver's music creation process because if you haven't listened to my Don Tolliver lovesick review, not review, basically I recap or just like information. Anyways, just look up Don Tolliver, Love Sick analytic dreams and it should pop up. But basically, what I got into that was Don Tolliver and his melodic performance makes so much sense when he's you look at his collaboration with Travis Scott, his collaborations with, who else was he with?
Starting point is 00:01:40 I think it was Gunna? Was he on? It was one track that was really popular. And more notorious, I said this in that segment, but I'll say it again here, the track with Quayvon Offset back in 2016 called Had Enough, which I think is a bona fide classic, personally one of my favorite tracks of all time. So I just think melodically This man, Don Tolliver, is a genius
Starting point is 00:02:04 And there's a reason why the likes of Justin Bieber And the likes of these other famous musicians High acclaimed, like acclimated artists are collabing with this man Because they see Siza, that's what I was thinking of. I was like, why can I not think of that artist? Don Tulliver collabing with Siza
Starting point is 00:02:23 A lot of these artists have glowing remarks when they talk about Don Tulliver and their creation that they've made together, you know? So I feel like Don Tolliver's music making process could be one of those where if you ever live streamed it, I think he would probably have a lot in his live stream. Like I don't know what's a lot for him, but you know, his music making process I'm very much intrigued by. And that's why he's one of my like as far as favorite up-and-coming artist. He's one of the ones I look out for when he draws music.
Starting point is 00:02:55 So yeah, this is, it's for it. far as Don Tolover and Justin Bieber goes. This is the third collaboration between the two. And the other two was with Scrillix. Yes, you heard me right. Scrillus.
Starting point is 00:03:09 Scrilex on their joint August 2021 single, Don't Go. And then Don was also featured on Justin Bieber's album, his single for his album, honest, nonetheless, in April 2020. So like I keep
Starting point is 00:03:27 saying don't tolliver's just respected immensely when it comes to this melodic aspect of of artistry and it's not like he's just stacking his vocals and just throw an auto tune together the way that he uses his reverb just to different phasers and and um autotune on his voice like and gets to a certain place to where like he's giving you different vocal inflections like i'm not going to lie don't Tolliver is one of those type of artists that I would like pay to see this man create music in the studio. Like obviously, you know, Drake, you know, he's one of the greatest artists of all time. But when you listen to his recordings, I mean, it's not like, bro, how'd you come up with this? Like he's basically, you know, using a little bit autotune and then maybe they're using like one of the best mics ever.
Starting point is 00:04:10 But I don't really feel like there's as much stacking or as much autotune or just reverb compared to Don Tolliver. and I think that's pretty safe to say. So anyways, as far as the track, I mean, Future, Justin Bieber, what's not the like? I mean, come on now. And obviously, it's the highest perform off the album so far. And I think this marks the second time that Justin Bieber and Future has made music, if I'm not mistaken.
Starting point is 00:04:40 And, of course, Don Tolliver and Future, they collab all the time. But Justin Bieber and Future, I don't think make too much music together. So this one should be special. I haven't even listened to it now. And I'm kind of sad I didn't because, I mean, it took like four minutes. But I kind of want to listen to the album as a whole. I don't want to jump around, especially for artists like Don Tolliver. I don't know if this is weird.
Starting point is 00:05:03 Call me a weirdo or whatever. But I feel like there's certain artists that you just have to listen from start to finish because you respect them so much. But anyways, click my link to my bio. Let me know one of my social medias. What do you think about Don Tolliver and his latest track called Private Land, off of his album, Love Sick, and will you be given his album a listen?
