After ICEMAN, HABIBTI and MAID OF HONOUR occupied Billboard 200 Nos. 1–3 with 687,000 combined first-week units and ICEMAN passed 2 billion Spotify streams, Drake premiered the self-funded hour-long project with nine unreleased tracks, Don Toliver, PartyNextDoor and Yeat features, a Choosin’ Texas interpolation, celebrity cameos and career nostalgia. Analytic Dreamz examines first-week streaming data, why the new songs had no official chart positions by mid-September, luxury product placement and the confirmed 2027 world tour as the next monetization window. Analytic Dreamz maps FOMO as a multimedia extension of Drake’s 2026 catalog rather than a conventional album.Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/analytic-dreamz-notorious-mass-effect/exclusive-contentPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

Starting point is 00:00:00 Shepard, promise me you'll tell them to subscribe for ad free content. Now, ladies and gentlemen, when you're talking about the goat... Is it okay, I got my dope on me? Safe to say, it wasn't enough having the biggest hip-hop album of 2026. It wasn't enough breaking Michael Jackson records as far as the most number one songs on Billboard. And of course, it wasn't enough that... All right, basically, I get the point.
Starting point is 00:00:27 That man is the ultimate goat. Give them some praise. Give them some praise. Now, of course, if you're not familiar with why we give Drake so much praise, especially in the hip-hop game, well, you know, a good amount of people give them praise. Some others are just straight haters. But it's because if you look at the charts, and of course, numbers isn't everything. But over here, notorious mass effect, we get into the gaming and music IPs that notoriously affect the masses.
Starting point is 00:00:54 So specifically when comparing superstars amongst one another, we started to realize, I know that ain't who I think it is. Time and time again, there are certain acts that are from the genre of country and pop percolating in the Billboard Hot 100. But then, you know what I'm saying? I was like, damn, look at the state of hip hop. Like, what's going on? Now, the reason why I start off like that is because, ladies and gentlemen, look no further
Starting point is 00:01:19 the analytic dreams video on Spotify to see the video along with the audio. As you can see right here, this specific post from Drake is basically hinting towards that. They keep saying our genre is. dying videos don't matter nobody is watching um nobody's listening i still care as much as i did on the set of best i ever had so be kind and rewind now even though when you look at the sentiments those are immaculent bars shepherd all right enough drake glaze the main thing i was going to get at is drake obviously taking it upon himself to carry the rap game in a way that no are artist has ever done, objectively speaking, for this long, this length of time, right?
Starting point is 00:02:06 So when you see Don Tolliver, when you see Yeat, when you see him doing a Choosing Texas remix, it's basically him paying attention to the entire 26 field. Because when you look at Drake having objectively the sixth most play album in the world, then you look at the next hip-hop artist, and then you come to realize. I know that ain't who I think it is. Don Tolliver currently has the 21st most play album in the world with Octane. So when you see the FOMO live stream and Don Tulliver is on not one, but two tracks off of the 10 new releases. And they're in the midst of the live stream.
Starting point is 00:02:43 You come to realize why that's so significant, especially when, let me see, especially, I think I have the actual tracklist somewhere. Especially when you look at the tracklist and you see it was spread throughout the entire, FOMO live stream So I have the live stream track list up right now So as far as the newer tracks We have Janus STFU remix
Starting point is 00:03:06 Featuring Only Heaven We have damage done We have Gaza We have cold shoulder Featron Don Tolliver We have I know it's true We have Vices We have Choos and Texas
Starting point is 00:03:14 Remix featuring Don Tolliver again We have classic extended edition Which we're gonna get to that in a second Miss My Dogs featuring And then a 10th track is free Now if you're not aware of who this lady, no, of who made this,
Starting point is 00:03:30 I can't draw on this right now. But basically, as you can see at number seven, Choosing Texas remix. If you're not familiar, basically that particular artist is currently the MVP of 2026, objectively speaking,
Starting point is 00:03:43 as far as engagement. As Choosing Texas is the most successful track of all time. So passing a barred song, surpassing the Lil'Nus X track, I figured what that was called. But basically, the amount of weeks that, number one,
Starting point is 00:03:56 It's currently 47 weeks and it's still the number one most played track in the world. And then when you look at albums, right? Because you know, singles isn't everything, right? So when you look at albums, safe to say Ella Langley has Dandelion that's still the third most played album in the world. Who is that above? Is it okay? I got my dope on me? So the reason why I start off with the status of hip hop is because I believe Drake is definitely a student of the game.
Starting point is 00:04:27 some would say he's very good at assimilating and maybe being a little culture vulture if I was to be a Drake hater of course the word I would use is he's definitely a student and he assimilates really well to different cultures and he respects them to the point where the certain figures from that specific genre give him the cosign to continue forward whether it's a bad bunny in reggaeton whether it's a caro g in regga tone whether it's a Ella Langleyan country, whether it's even towards the beginning of time, whether it's Jay Prince and Birdman as far as hip-hop and black
Starting point is 00:05:04 culture. People always wonder how did a Canadian whose mom was white grow so big in hip-hop? It's because the cosign really matters as far as from people who are respecting into the game. That is why I bring up those names because the same thing happened to M&M when Dr. Dre stepped in and gave him a co-sign. So, of course, I'm not saying that
Starting point is 00:05:26 Dr. Dr. Dr. Eminem wouldn't be as big without black cosigns, but I'm definitely saying that it's very important to note that their beginnings happened because of a prominent black figure in the culture. So when it comes to Drake assimilating the other cultures, safe to say you need other figures to co-sign you, which is why I believe Choosin Texas even ended up on here in the first place, because in the year of 2026, you cannot get away from this particular track. The most successful track of all time. Ella Langley has her pick of the litter as far as who she wants on the remix.
Starting point is 00:05:58 If ever a remix was to come out. I'm not saying Ella Langley should keep it to herself, but Drake is one of those artists that sees a moment, tries to see if he can capitalize off of it. And if not, I guess he goes
Starting point is 00:06:15 about his way. And the reason why I say I guess is because apparently when you look at the actual video towards it, I think he, they were saying he took out a part. I don't know if it was fake news or not. But they were saying he took out a part where it had like Ella Langley. I guess Ella Langley was in one of these parts and he replaced it with
Starting point is 00:06:30 something else. Now I don't know how true that is. I'm going through it. I don't see Ella Langley and this is the part where she would pop up. So basically, I say all that to say this. Ella Langley, at first she was vibing with it, but not anymore. I just don't like it, man. You know what I'm saying? I just don't like that shit, man. And I don't know how much
Starting point is 00:06:48 I... Take care of your kids, man. I don't even know if you got any... Well, she got any kids. But, you know. I don't know how much I resent Ella Laley for that, if at all, because when you look at having the most successful track of all time, Drake's entire FOMO live stream seemed to be pointing out how other rappers are missing out. And it's interesting how he took that opportunity to try to hop on the biggest wave, not even one of, not even some of, the biggest wave ever in music as far as choosing Texas. So it shows how some rappers would like to have the success of Drake, but even Drake is out here trying to clamor
Starting point is 00:07:27 and get the attention of certain people like a Choosing Texas from Ella Langley. Because it's not really the album. It's only the track Choosing Texas that I believe is so significant is why he wants to be a part of it. So that be it said, given my overall review of The Fear Missing Out live stream, the main thing when it comes to this specifically is that, of course this whole aspect right here of stunness andy i mean Drake definitely knows what he's doing he had a plethora of women throughout this
Starting point is 00:07:56 live stream that made you think to yourself i know that ain't who i think it is so stunner sandies right there ladies and gentlemen analytic dreams video on spotify to see the video along with the audio and uh definitely make sure to rate this five stars because uh who's bringing it to you like this you know i'm saying not too crazy come on now come on now Give them some praise. I think I didn't ran it back three times. That's crazy, isn't it?
Starting point is 00:08:20 All right. So with that being said, so that's done to Sandy, right? And then there was somebody at the beginning. Like I said, I've watched this whole thing multiple times, right? And then there's this person right here, right? I know that ain't who I think it is. And of course, you would be remiss not to bring up the goth girl at the end. I forget what she's at.
Starting point is 00:08:34 Yeah, she's right here. So, yeah, here's the goth girl. So Drake's definitely showing you his taste throughout the whole live stream, right? Definitely really a big fan of her personality. All right, my fault. So basically, throughout this whole video, you're seeing a lot of things as far as Drake's taste in women and his taste in giving because of him having so much in the culture, right? So this FOMO live stream is showcasing a lot of things. Not only is Drake the biggest artist, but he's also given back in ways that, of course, is very attractive to beautiful women. but also it's attractive to artists who maybe are helped by his mammoth of a wave such as don't tolliver right here the reason why I'm showing actual video evidence is because you know some
Starting point is 00:09:26 people are going to be like oh you're just making it up you gloating I mean not gloating you basically just blowing out of the water how big this uh live stream is drag hinted and showcase a lot of things throughout this live stream that I think people just completely skipped by I mean imagine having two minutes how long was this imagine having uh okay so we have we technically have one two three no basically two minutes so this whole two minutes is him giving away like 500 000 million dollars right so million dollar plus cards he's given away that's two minutes of the 59 minute fomo live stream so basically when i'm talking about drake being on a different level it's not as if it's just because he's my
Starting point is 00:10:05 favorite act it's because objectively speaking he's doing things that other acts can't even fathom so The reason why I started off like that is because hip hop is an interesting place. Is it going to get back to the point where it's percolating in the Billboard Hot 100 for the foreseeable future? Or are things going to keep coming and going like Future's album, like Kanye's album bully, like Jay Coe's album. Even though it had a phenomenal first week sales, there's nowhere to be seen even shortly after the album came out. What was another one? Baby King. I like him as an artist, but his album came and went. I think Uzi put out an EP.
Starting point is 00:10:40 Technically it was an EP, so I don't know if that counts specifically. specifically, I think it was only like five, six tracks. But basically, future, J-Co, Kanye, those are some of the biggest hip-hop acts as of right now. If they are putting out an album and three, four weeks later, it's completely disappeared from the tracks, from the charts. Engagement isn't everything, but it's definitely an indication on what the industry is looking at and where the marketing dollars are going behind. Because, of course, that is one of the main reasons Drake even came out in his Instagram post and said that he's fun to get independently because, oh, that's not a sense. Instagram. Did I delete his Instagram? I think it's somewhere. Oh, it's right here. So basically, his Instagram as far as, I think it's this post, yeah, here we go. So there's a reason why he started
Starting point is 00:11:25 off by saying this is self-funded surrealism. That brings me to my next point, ladies and gentlemen. I believe this particular live stream had one question to answer, and I think it answered it pretty distinctly um Drake is still beefing with UMG you guys see that's the problem that's the biggest takeaway that i got out of this youtube live stream Drake versus UMG is the biggest thing in the music industry right now because if drake goes independent uh independent what's stopping him from getting what EA has been receiving as far as specifically because you know we cover gaming and music and i love when both tie in right so Saudi specifically right EA sold for $55 billion to Jared Kushner and Saudi investors.
Starting point is 00:12:16 I covered that October 8th, 2025. Now, the reason why I bring that up in a midst of a musical discussion is because in the music sense, what's stopping an overseas investor from just taking Drake under their wing and now Drake's independent? I think that's what UMG is kind of seeing because if you notice, comedians are taking bags from certain places. I don't know if it was Saudi as well. and they just seem to have a well of money that's just pouring in right it doesn't seem like
Starting point is 00:12:46 it's running out anytime soon so all of these investors that are coming out of nowhere buying up all of this stock was stopping them from getting into the music game and picking up one of the greatest artists of all time objectively speaking as far as engagement and just funding him as a subsidiary funding him as an investor instead of a full on label so basically the reason why that's one of the biggest takeaways for me is because of course throughout the the youtube live stream there was no official release whatsoever iceman habibtie made of honor they're all still the listed latest albums from drake there's no single being promoted i think he had a track off a party neck uh off a yeats album titled uh miss my dogs so that was the only
Starting point is 00:13:34 one that was officially released and that was on yeats album i think this is specifically contract negotiations going back and forth between Drake and UMG, especially when you look at how Drake is talking about being free and every single chance he gets as far as when he gets into his lyrical bag. The way he ends off this live stream is with a track that he's repeating, I just want to be free. Where else did he say that? He said that on Iceman right before this, well, not right before this, but basically whenever Iceman came out, I honestly forgot when Iceman. came out. It's been so long. Iceman came out. I think it was May 14th, right? Am I tripping? May 16th? It was one of those days.
Starting point is 00:14:16 So I think it was May 16th. So May 16th, Iceman comes out, three albums completely notoriously affects the masses, right? Now you're looking at Drake specifically targeting his label and asking them or demanding for them to let him go. Now is that going to happen? Oh, D-D-D. Of course not. This is not football. this is not the NBA in the music industry if you're under contract unless you're going to stop putting out music
Starting point is 00:14:46 we hold you in perpetuity but then you know what I'm saying I was like to him look at the state of hip hop like what's going on and of course I don't like that but I'm just telling it like it is because I think a lot of people have the smoke and mirrors in front of them as far as his live stream showcasing that everything's all
Starting point is 00:15:02 peaches and roses but really Drake's in he thought he was in a battle with Kendrick suing UMG was probably worse five times, ten times worse than getting into a battle with Kendrick. Because Kendrick can't like just cut off your water, right? UMG can, in my opinion, unless once again going back into my gaming example, an investor group like Saudi Arabia popping like they have been for comedians for EA specifically. I think this YouTube live stream showcase that Drake has a lot of bigger battles that he's making,
Starting point is 00:15:36 it seem like they're just lighthearted. Like, oh, I'm just trying to be free. Like, no, my brother, you're in the battle of not only your future, but also for your past. Because what's stopping UMG from being like, okay, you can leave, but we keep all your, we keep your entire discography. I don't think Drake would do that. I don't think Drake will ever leave UMG if he couldn't bring his discography with him. So now you're going to steal me. Are you going to leave and go independent?
Starting point is 00:16:02 And every time you drop, UMG makes all the money from take care. Because granted, if you look at Drake, if you look at Drake, you look at. Drake, for some reason, the album that has the most hands in the pot is currently Drake's most popular album outside of Iceman. If you look at the charts specifically, Iceman is the sixth most play album in the world. And then what is the next up? What is the next most popular album from Drake? I know that ain't who I think of it is. Take care.
Starting point is 00:16:27 Take care is the 23rd most played album in the world. So UMG is willing to let Drake continue to put out new music officially because it helps their catalog that they own. Views is currently the 46 most play album in the world. Not made of honor, not Habibati. The top three most play albums by Drake right now is Iceman. Take care and views.
Starting point is 00:16:49 UMG is looking at that and basically saying to themselves, well, we have him for quite some time. You look at the credits of these albums. They're different for a reason. And these older albums are more popular for a reason. And if you don't believe me, I'm bringing up the credits now. So you don't think the sources is I just made up.
Starting point is 00:17:07 so you have ovo republic right this is basically the uh drake label that he has like party next door some other artists things that nature right back in the day he didn't have all that he had a bunch of hands in the pot and let's just say it was no ovio it was it was it was birdman's oh
Starting point is 00:17:23 it was it was give money to birdman expeditiously um so as you can see very different credits YMCMB slash republic right so more hands in the pot albums more popular. Less hands in a pot. And granted, Ice Men still the six most play album in the world. But what's stopping UMG from being like, if you want to play hardball and sue us, we're never going to let you go and you have to deal with it. So I think that's one of the biggest things you could take away from this YouTube live stream.
Starting point is 00:17:53 And that inevitably was answered. It was going to have to be answered at some point. And in the midst of this YouTube live stream, he basically said that he's still trying to be free. So to continue, when looking at FOMO, I'm trying to think, is there anything specifically that I wanted to point out? Because the live stream was a movie. I thought it was fantastic. The overall depiction of music videos for older tracks, for newer tracks, the effort that he was showcasing, him making it an emphasis, making it a highlight to say that it was self-funded. That was for a reason, I believe, the UMG aspect, to showcase that he could do things. by himself. And when looking at UMG specifically, they have 64% of the entire music market
Starting point is 00:18:43 year. Sony has 26%. Warner has 10%. So you come to realize UMG is not hurting for artists that's notoriously affecting masses. If you wanted to know some of the acts that are the biggest for UMG as of right now, you have, uh, well, Janaya Eico just came out with an album. So it's kind of, you know, that's this kind of, um, that, that, that, that's kind of, um, that, depiction is kind of jaded a little bit because it's her first week sales but technically she has the number one most play album in the world right now because she had the first week sales of 73,000 but technically when you look at the overall aspect UMG biggest artist is of course ella langley morgan wallin noa khan once again the pop and country angle right uh ella
Starting point is 00:19:25 no no langley's with sony i'm tripping olivia rodrigo uh morgan wallin noa khan ariana grande and Olivia Dean. Outside of Drake, those are the top five acts as of right now when it comes to albums. Now, of course, when it comes to singles, ladies and gentlemen, Ella Langley, I don't know, she's still Sony. I'm tripping. It's Taylor Swift, Morgan Wallin, Ariana
Starting point is 00:19:46 Grande, Olivia Dean. Olivia Dean literally has two tracks in the top ten. That's actually insane. But so does Ella Langley. So you come to realize that if you actually pay attention to the music industry, some of these things start to like explain itself. So Drake making a whole shoes in Texas remixes
Starting point is 00:20:02 not like, oh, man, I really love that song. He sees that's the most popular track of all time, objectively speaking, as far as the pace. As of right now, it's the most popular, it's the most number ones at Billboard in Billboard history. But as far as the most popular track, obviously you need some time for that. Drake hopping on his wave at this time
Starting point is 00:20:23 where he's the hottest in the hip-hop game is not a coincidence. So he's very much a student of the game and that comes across time and time again with his delivery, with his attention to deep. tell and also with him showcasing that he's willing to go to extra mile to maybe advocate to have a certain remix. I'm pretty sure the whole process for the Choosing Texas remix was Drake making the track, sending it to Ella Langley asking her what do you think it is. Would you want me on the
Starting point is 00:20:50 track? Maybe she says no. Maybe she has a concert. Maybe Drake pops up. Maybe Drake asks her again. Maybe she says no again. Okay. Well, maybe I'll put you in a music video. And Now I have Don Tolliver with it and now maybe you say no again. So now the final version of the video, we take you out completely. You know what? Drake can't take a note, man. But then you know what I'm saying? I was like, damn, look at the state of hip hop.
Starting point is 00:21:15 Like, what's going on? Now, of course, that could be 10 for your hat if you don't like follow the industry. But when it comes to the actual Choose in Texas remix, there's been no actual official confirmation from Ella Langley's team, just strictly from Drake's camp. So anyways, What else? That was basically it.
Starting point is 00:21:34 I love the take care imagery, the God's plan, imagery, the toothy slide. I think it was towards the end. Yeah, it was towards the end right here. This is fantastic. This whole reminiscing on the past classics is this is God's plan, I believe. Trying to see if they show another one. I forget what this one. Was that for, I forget what that one is.
Starting point is 00:21:57 But basically, he showed a lot of imagery, basically showcasing some of the highlights in his career. And then at the end, of course, you showcase him walking off of the platform, which a lot of people was asking the ultimate question, is Drake going to retire? And I believe at this point in time, Drake would not retire because he's the biggest in the game. I think if he was ever to retire, it would have to be when he puts out an album
Starting point is 00:22:24 and it doesn't even chart maybe in the top 10 or top 20 or top five. Actually, it had to be top five because Drake's pretty big, Paul's. I mean, even Kanye Bully, I think, was in the top five when it came out. He's independent. So I think Drake will only retire from music whenever people stop actively making him number one. And I don't think that's going to happen for quite some time. As the 27 World Tour is coming out soon, and that is going to showcase Drake going across multiple countries. And safe to say, all them bars about America, like him saying, while you be jealous off anyone that's American.
Starting point is 00:23:01 remember he said that off of the party next door album uh all the shots he takes at americans i think that's going to showcase in the freeze the world tour and um not saying he's not going to perform in america of course i wouldn't say that but you know i think he still does hold some animosity towards the people who chose uh side seven over him so all let me see i think it was basically uh kd was in the video uh bend the don was dancing he was doing so he was doing the stepping or whatever let me see i think he was i think yeah it's right here yeah he was doing the stuff like you need a spanking to do shepherd i mean he was doing the um he was doing the dance or something like yeah um anyways
Starting point is 00:23:39 so shout to bend the darn i think there was some other things in this uh let me see that was basically it okay so now for me to give my overall review of all the new tracks i already did this extensively like already had an extended version where i broke down every single track so they give a lame in lamest terms let me take myself away to do it in lamest terms i was say that vices was my favorite track so that would be number one I wish I could draw on this hold up I'm about to draw this right quick I don't want that one try this one more time all right now press it all right there we go um see okay so to do this one more time my favorite tracks off of the newer releases I would probably say I'll probably say I'll probably
Starting point is 00:24:32 say janis stf you is probably towards the bottom so i want to start at number one let's just start number one let's do vices the classic remix i mean the classic extended a version is finally like the music version of gamers dlc like the extended version of classic is where everybody and their mama was asking for it so for him to give it to us uh i just had to put at number two for me number three i'll probably say is between cold shoulder and i know it's true but for this i'll probably put it at uh cold show I probably give cold shoulder number three. I know it's true would probably be number four.
Starting point is 00:25:08 I don't like how Drake took Chews in Texas and made it into our R&B anthem. I thought he could have easily fit into that country bop, especially with Chewerex in. I think he could have fit that perfectly. I mean, you've heard country artists hop into the hip-hop bag and sound phenomenal as far as the Morgan Wall and a little dirt collapse, right? But as far as choosing Texas, for some reason, he took the country beat and changed into R&B. I'm like, that's the last person. Drake is the last person who I think would do something like that. So anyways, I probably put free at number five.
Starting point is 00:25:39 I probably put at number five. And then I would probably say choose in Texas would probably have to be. No, okay. I like damage done. I like damage done. Probably put that at number six. And I probably put choose in Texas at number seven. I would put Janice, STFU.
Starting point is 00:26:01 at number eight and i probably put this one at number nine i'm definitely missing someone uh i'm missing one because isn't a 10 oh miss my dogs i don't know how to count um let me see if i can do this i think let me see would it be number six after that miss my dogs wasn't the greatest but it's definitely not low so let me see six seven uh let me see guys are damage done eight and then let's do nine Gaza I'm tripping 8 is a damage done and then 9
Starting point is 00:26:44 Janice STFU why my 9 look like that turn the sticks upside down you know what I'm saying trying to Drake would not be proud with that one anyways Gaza number 10 alright cool
Starting point is 00:26:58 so that would be my rankings you know what do y'all think as far as all of the new tracks i think vices is my favorite sound it seems like it's experimental while also staying in the lane of what drake is known for giving and i think that's where you find the sweet spot of evolving in my opinion so vices at number one classic extended at number two cold shoulder at number three i know it's true at number four um there is no number five oh yeah uh free at number five miss my dogs featuring he at number six choosing tex remix featuring don't tolliver at number seven uh damage done
Starting point is 00:27:33 at number eight. Janice STFU remix featured only having in number nine and in Gaza at number 10. When it comes to my ranking, definitely make sure to let me know what you think of the actual new tracks that Drake revealed and the Fear of Missing Out YouTube Live stream.
