Friendly reminder that, of course, I am a Drake Stan, but technically, this is the longest
I've ever went without doing a Drake segment.
As far as the year and starting off the year, I think I did a great job.
I'm not starting out with any Drake material.
Not like I had a choice, but at least I did it.
So that being said, of course this segment is going to be covering the goat greatest of all
time. The leader, the mascot of hip hop as if you don't know, you know, if I have to jog your memory
a little bit. This man has probably the most tracks on the Hot 100 when it comes to being a rapper.
I mean, he has Rich Baby Daddy with sexy Red and Siza. I don't know how.
At all the tracks, that one became the more long lasting track, because if you would have told me,
rich baby daddy was going to be the most or have the most longevity offer for all the dogs
I would have said you was a bold face lie so anyways the next one of course is first person
shooter with germane cold which is at 29 right now then you have you broke my heart
which even I was saying that that was my favorite track off of his uh addition his deluxe
edition because I didn't really review that one but simply for the fact I kind of
I said it in my review, my roundup of 2023.
But basically, Drake used Lika too many times while rapping in his deluxe edition.
And then he said he made all four or five tracks in like three days.
And I was like, oh, that makes so much sense.
Because this man was like, oh, I did this, this, this, and this, like a, this, like,
if conjunction is the right word, I'm trying to use.
he has to switch up his conjunction because he's too masterful of a rapper and the lyricist
to use the same conjunction over and over and over especially someone with a pen like his
that was lazy in putting certain analogies and metaphors together anyways so you broke my heart
was from that deluxe edition that was my favorite track and i just love the vibe and it totally
fit Drake. I mean, saying, for getting my ex 50 times over. I mean, if that's not Drake,
I don't know what it is. And making the anthem out of it, I mean, come on now. So the next track
for all the dogs, I don't know why I'm going down. This is not what the segment is about.
Basically, big pun featuring, well, no, Drake is putting out another offering to the masses,
but this time through French Montana's Mac and Cheese 5, which is a continuation of its famous
iconic mixtape series if you don't know mix tapes was a thing in the past spinrilla
sound cloud even before them um i forget what they call it there's so many things that you can listen
to mixtapes on that piff i think was one of them anyways you get the point those are no longer here
they're gone dead and you know not profiting none of that they times have uh evolved and those platforms
no disrespect but they fell by it fell to the wayside except for uh
SoundCloud. They're still chucking along. So anyways, Drake is given a track called Big Pun
through the French Montana Mac and Cheese Five. Why is it such a big deal? It's simply because
whenever this man puts out music is going to impact the charts because he is the goat.
At this point, longevity has to be acknowledged at some point because your favorite artist
is struggling, either struggling or not putting out music for long periods of time. So,
So we have to acknowledge that the most consistent man is also putting up numbers on the billboards.
Like, he's not, no disrespect to NBA young boy.
Before all my young boy fans out there, he's not somebody being consistent.
And then the numbers go up and down.
It fluctuates from average to, oh, above average to, oh, it's actually a good first week.
Consistently, Drake puts out music consistently.
He has some of the best first week numbers ever in that year.
So with that being said, big pun is going to be straightfire.
I think with Drake putting out a big pun-like track,
it reminds me of when he did that track off of views.
I forget what it's called.
I think it was You With Me.
I think the track was titled, You With Me,
but basically, with Drake putting out this track, big pun,
I think there's going to be a hit.
And anytime Drake pops up on a French Montana album,
he goes ballistic, whether it's,
who he's dissing, whether it's just him catching the flow.
I don't know what it is,
but every time Drake is with French Montana,
he just gets into a whole other pocket
and just starts to go crazy as a lyricist.
I mean, if we're talking about no stylist,
talking about no shopping,
I mean, stay scheming.
I mean, come on now.
Like, Drake really has given some of his,
I'm not going to say best verses,
but as far as replayability,
replay, repeatability.
I think the same thing.
Anyways, y'all give what I'm saying.
As far as playing it in a lot of different settings and it impacting the charts,
usually Drake is batting a hundred, a thousand.
I don't know how to batting.
I don't watch baseball.
I'm sorry.
But anyway, he's batting a thousand when it comes to his offerings via quality, well,
his offering when it comes to high quality music through the French Montana project.
So with that being said, I'm super excited for it.
Drake is going to go crazy.
I mean,
he has been so consistently great at this point that I think you would be the biggest
hater to not acknowledge it.
Like, obviously people call me a Drake stand.
They'd be like, hey, man, you're doing tricks on that ain't you?
And then, you know, for me, I'll just be like, dang, that's, that's wild.
I know, I'm just like, that's on Dwight.
So anyways, um, basically, I like to acknowledge the winners because a lot of people
like to misguide, mislead you, use smoking mirrors to think they're bigger than they're not.
And transparency, I think, is the best policy, even though the rap game is WWE.
The machines can only help you so much to the point where your core fan base still has to be
bigger than everybody else's core fan base.
And I think in 2024, we've seen for a decade plus that Drake's core fan base is exponentially
bigger than any other musician trying to compete with him in the hip-pop space.
So with that being said, click my link to your bio.
Let me know in one of my social media is.
What do you think about Drake giving his first offering of 2024 via the French Montana
mixtape mac and cheese five?
And it's already going to be fires.
I'm not going to ask you if it's, you know, fire or trash.
But do you think as far as the rankings from Drake versus on French Montana album, do you
think this will be the best one?
