Starting point is 00:00:03 You know, I was thinking to myself, in the year of 2026, let's shine a light on some other artists in the hip hop game. But then, you know what I'm saying? I was like, damn, look at the state of hip hop. Like, what's going on? So with that being said, we have this particular underground artist, or I don't know what his statue is in the hip hop game. But I think he goes by the name of Aubrey Graham, aka champagne poppy. What in the world? But then I think some people formerly formerly, formerly.

Starting point is 00:00:33 however you say that word know him as drake is it okay i got my dope on me and safe to say his actual dope is coming sooner than we think pause as when you look at ice man which as of right now is the ninth studio the ninth solo studio album and of course the previous album was for all the dogs because when you look at 2025 that was a collab album with party next door that came out february 14 2025 for all the dogs the original version not the one with all the rapidy rap stuff on it that came out october 6th 2023 and of course one of the additions that drake gave musically that i think started his beef between him and umg was definitely november 17 2023 when he put out for all the dog's scary hours which if you remember that actually had the track red button on it

Starting point is 00:01:33 So anyways, with that being said, getting into Drake once more as far as in the hip hop industry, the main thing you need to know is that where is Iceman? That is the ultimate question that hip hop fans want to know. Where is Iceman? And guess what? I want to know the same thing. You guys. See, that's the problem. The whole time, you know, obviously my sources are I made it up, right?

Starting point is 00:02:00 But whole time, he was talking about a particular. date talking about he was going to put out ice man and then you know what i came to the realization taylor swift may actually be the biggest gangster in the industry now i know what y'all saying hold up i may have lost some of y'all so y'all got to stick with me currently taylor swift because you know this is notorious mass effect so we talk about the artists and albums that notoriously affect the masses taylor swift currently has the top most played song in the with the fate of Ophelia but not only that she also has a whopping six tracks on the charts currently so when it comes to that safe to say a lot of other artists are struggling

Starting point is 00:02:46 to even get one in the top of 100 Taylor Swift has six and the lowest one is eight the 85th most play track in the world with the life of a showgirl but then of course you look at Taylor again in the album column and not only does Taylor have the most popular album in the world But she also has the 40th most popular album in the world with Lover. And so when you look at just, well, okay, so there's multiple albums. Goodness gracious. Okay, so there's Taylor Swift, The Life of a Showgirl, that's the number one most play album in the world.

Starting point is 00:03:21 The Torture Poets Department, that's the 20th most played album in the world. Midnights, which is the 31st most play album in the world. Folklore is the 32nd. And then, of course, you have Lover. That is the 40th most played album. album in the world. So you're looking at all these albums. She has a whopping five albums, ladies and gentlemen in the top 50 played albums in the world. So I just want to let you know. The Life of a Showgirl. You want to know when it came out right now. It is January 8th,

Starting point is 00:03:48 2026. Taylor Swift put out The Life of a Showgirl October 3rd, 2025. Safe to say, her Mass Effect has no limits. Nobody can compete with it. So what's the best? thing to do get out the way and that's exactly what I'm talking about but then you know what I'm saying I was like damn look at the state of hip hop like what's going on never would thought my favorite rapper would avoid another release date because of course you know everybody called him the target of rap the Walmart of rap with the one guy who nobody listens to talking about so many skews right and then of course there's other artists who are out here doing more phenomenal numbers and I think they get certain critique as far as their

Starting point is 00:04:33 uh, comfortability and going back to what works. But you know, they don't get it as much as Drake as far as the hate. But maybe, you know, maybe that's just me looking at it as a Drake fan. So when you look at

Starting point is 00:04:43 Drake not dropping an album, I am simply putting the blame on Taylor Swift as going deeper into Taylor Swift. The main thing when it comes to artists being scared to drop. It's not because they don't think they can get a number one over Taylor right now. Because right now the life of a showgirl is number one. but it's still selling around 81,000 as far as in this upteenth week right when you look at Drake basically he's going to do more to 81,000 first week so you probably think it to yourself hold up now why would Drake be scared of an 81,000 when you know he's going to blow that number

Starting point is 00:05:22 out of the water well I'm glad you asked so when Taylor Swift sees another superstar figure dropping in the music industry that could compete for a number one safe to say she puts out another vinyl now I've said this time and time again I'm gonna beat this until y'all head until y'all understand the game that this woman is playing and I'm not mad at it you know what I'm saying don't hate the player hate the game so anyways Taylor Swift basically puts out multiple vinyl variants that Swifties go crazy for and that makes the the sales go through the roof because you need like 14 to 1 500 streams to equivalent one a unit one album unit right so now when you look at

Starting point is 00:06:02 people actually buying the physical copies is going to account for way more than the streams because drake out streams all these artists every single one of them on the physical purchased side taylor swift is like the drake of that she has swifties buying every single vinyl imaginable so whenever a superstar drops taylor swift just puts out another vinyl she's like hey swifties go get this new vinyl with the extra ribbon on it with the extra sticker on it and it gets what they go buy it you guys see that's the problem if you look at the life of a show girl Taylor Swift and I kid you not this is actual facts I'm giving you right now Taylor Swift released over 30 variants including 18 CDs in eight vinyl LPs

Starting point is 00:06:53 but then you know what sounds like 10 leading to a record-breaking 1.3 million vinyl copies guess what let people don't even sell in the uppers of five to 600,000. Taylor Swift sold four million plus first week last year with the life of a showgirl. Guess who is the second closest? Morgan Waller. I'm the problem. Guess how much he sold?

Starting point is 00:07:16 Around 477,000 first week. Taylor Swift is on another level and is simply because of these physical sales. So anyways, I'm not going to say simply because, you know, her artist, she does stream phenomenal. I'm just saying as far as the physical units. and makes it to where to put in basketball you know to put in the lamest terms

Starting point is 00:07:35 if I have any you know athletes out there it's like if you have Steph Curry and Andre Drummond going back and forth like maybe Andre Drummond is getting two again a dunk after dunk after dunk right but Steph Curry is hearing the three time and time and time again with the utmost efficiency

Starting point is 00:07:53 that is Taylor Swift when it comes to the vinals usually people don't sell the amount of vials like they do when it comes to streaming. Taylor Swift is really the king of physical copies because she's going crazy with her fan base always buying her physical products. So to tie this back in, because y'all probably wondering, how did we go down this whole rabbit hole of Taylor Swift when this is a Drake segment? Well, ladies and gentlemen, that's exactly why. I think Drake pushed back his album to not compete with Taylor Swift. I literally believe that Iceman would have came out if Taylor Swift did not drop in

Starting point is 00:08:29 October. Maybe if she would have dropped in middle of 2025, it would have gave them more of a cushion, maybe at the beginning of 2025. But Taylor Swift really demands a whole eight-month respectable lane and window for her album to breathe. So I do believe we're going to see exactly what I'm talking about when Drake drops. Taylor Swift's going to put out a vinyl and I think they will be competing for that number one slot. Her organic numbers without the vinyl as far as a streaming aspect just may not be able to get her over the hump as far as that number one when it comes to Drake which is why I believe he pushed the album back because in the height of October November December there was no way you was competing with Taylor Swift I mean

Starting point is 00:09:12 Abraham aka 21 Savage found that out the hard way when he tried to go head to head with Taylor Swift and she put out another vinyl right so um that's basically what I want to get at because a lot of people saying he's dropping his Thursday I'm just going to go out on the limb and say they're completely lying. I'm not going to lie to you. Is it okay? I got my dope on me. I said, what the fuck?

Starting point is 00:09:35 That's literally what I said when everybody was out here talking about Drake dropping this Thursday. I'm like, with what rollout? You know what I'm saying? You think he just dropped three live stream episodes for fun? This man is rolling out in the album. He's not just going to surprise drop on a Thursday, but guess what? I am open to being wrong because Livingston Allen said to himself, aka DJ Academics.

Starting point is 00:09:56 You already know I'm a huge. That's one of my main inspirations as far as covering hip hop. You know, hence my name. But obviously, you know, we have very different ways of elecuting ourselves, if I do say so myself. Anyways, Livingston basically said that Drake is dropping this Thursday. I call Cap. We're going to see who's right.

Starting point is 00:10:16 So with that being said, that's basically all I have to talk about. I mean, there's a lot of he say, she say. I just basically wanted to bring this up in a factual manner and talk about why superstar art is like a Drake. is not dropping in the midst of Taylor Swift dominating the charts, literally showcasing why she is the biggest gangster in the industry. But when it comes to Ice Man, it's safe to say,

Starting point is 00:10:39 if it ends up coming sooner than we think, best believe we're going to cover it like a kilo of Milis Cyrus. But then, you know what I'm saying?
