I think one of the biggest things right now when it comes to this specific chapter in the Drake book is realizing the masterful lyrics off of Do Not Disturb.
Because that track in general is one of Drake's greatest tracks ever talking about lyrically.
And one of the biggest things that sticks out to me because currently he's basically just showcasing what this track.
that came out in 2017 actually means as far as the coming to fruition part of it.
As when you talk about saw a side of myself that I just never knew,
I'd probably self-destruck if I ever lose, but I never do.
Because technically, we've never seen Drake lose.
The closest thing we got to Drake losing was when Pusherty put out story of Adidon
and unequivocally put a
forever lasting chink in the ghost armor.
Some would say is meek-mill with the ghost writing
accusations, but as Lodi Yaddy said,
which would get to him in a second,
a lot of people don't write out here.
90% of artists don't write the own music.
And if you was in a job where it was based off production
and not quality level,
he would probably get writers too.
So a lot of these writers out here
are making the real creative.
melodies and flows that you're hearing from your favorite artist but guess what you would never
hear the writer's name because they're ghost writers so when drake says saw aside of myself that i just
never knew i'd probably self-destruct if i ever lose but i never do i think the docket the unofficial
documentary 100 gigs is the self-destruct part of that drake and universal music group are at odds
I had to let that pause because that's a big deal.
That's a pretty big deal.
Universal Music Group forced, and I mean forced, Drake, to put out its up,
to put out blue, green, red, and to put out housekeeping those.
Because if you wanted to make a return on investment and you invested, no, no, not invested,
you gave an advance of like $400 million to one person, and they out here giving out free content
on a random Instagram account that they swear they didn't.
not running, then you will probably try some forceful actions as well, right?
So with Lucian Grange being the most powerful person in the music industry, because he's
basically the owner, not basically, he is the owner of Universal Music Group, which I don't know
if y'all know, Universal Music Group has 53% of the whole music market share.
Like, it's all the music that's being released in the world, consumption-wise, Universal
music group has 53% of it because they have the likes of a taylor swift chappelle rowan morgan walling so
umg is like team usa no matter how much greatness lebron presents we still got other people to go to
and there would be another lebron at some point so umg basically told drake that hey you got to put them
tracks out because we're not doing free content over here we're trying to recoup um so that's how the
tracks came about and you're probably like well what's your source well that's not how i work
imagine i gave you gave you my source and now you go to him now i'm out of a job now look at that work
no it's like so anyways uh so um what else so yeah man drake has a track titled i'm i'm the
problem in parentheses still a good man it's only a matter of time before this track comes out on dsps
and no matter what artists say out here the owners run the game lucian grange elliard grange um
um no who i always blank on his name i found that so disrespectful because he's he's like one of
let me see um i don't want to see Andrew because that's definitely not his name although because
yeah i'm tripping i don't even hey forgive me for forgetting your name but larry jacks of the world
they really run the actual music scene, uh, from behind closed doors.
Yeah, from behind closed doors.
Um, the artist you see is like the players.
Like, I don't know if y'all watch sports or if everybody watches sports, but it's like the
basketball game, you see the players out on the court.
The owner who's up in the stands or maybe not even in the building is still making money
from the entire thing.
That's how you should look at the owners and that's how you should look at the artists on the
court.
so um yeah um what else was i talking about so as far as drake um having another track
that's apparently leaked quote unquote uh through an account that he seemingly co-signed i mean
the plot twist account at this point i mean i think he's just not legally um i think he's not
claiming it because of legal ramifications i think he's trying all the workarounds to give out free
mixed tape music to his fans.
But guess who owns that music?
Universal Music Group. So they're going to be like,
I don't care what type of
fast one you think you try to pull out
a pull over on us, but you got to put this out on
DSPs so we can get our return on
investment and actually make money off
of something we own.
That you signed a contract to say we own.
So, yeah,
he out here trying to get free music and Universal
Music Group does not like that.
So anyways, that's basically it.
If you haven't heard of new unreleased track, just know that it's basically an interesting track by Drake because while it does focus on romance, it is a unique take from Drake as he's basically going over how he's constantly messing up, but he's still a good man.
And he named drops his mom, which he gives a way more personal element than 90% of his romantic songs.
So I think this track is actually pretty vulnerable and shows his emotional depth as far as singing goes.
And cultivating that mood and cadence as a lot of people are going to think it's, oh, just another Drake R&B track.
But this one actually substance-wise, it's pretty unique.
So anyways, with that being said, click my link to you in my bio.
Let me know on one of my social medias.
What do you think about Drake's leaked track?
I'm the problem in parentheses still a good man and do you think Drake and Universal Music Group
will ever resolve their issues?
