Track 17 off of some sexy songs for you is titled Celibacy.
Now it is time to address the elephant in the room.
Sonically speaking, if you do not like party next doors sound, it makes sense.
I'm not going to lie to you, it makes sense.
Hearing Drake's half of celibacy and then hearing party next door is half of celibacy,
you're obviously blending some hip-hop and R&B elements which you know Drake is used to doing but then you come to realize that party next door uses a lot of effects on his voice which Drake does as well but when it comes to party next door sonically it may not be as pleasing but it's an acquired taste I would compare to a Brent Fias not quality level because I do believe I don't know that's an argument between Brent Fias and Todd in the party next door but
still their way of getting across sound is an acquired taste because of them solely singing but using heavy
effects now the two could correlate but because it takes away from your natural voice so much
to the way you sound kind of robotic at times that's why i call it an acquired taste because people
could say you know what that's not my cup of tea i don't like that at all other people could say i love that
sound and I love
when party next door gets into that bag.
Whatever sign you stand
on will probably determine
if you like this track celibacy because
Drake is putting up
a Kobe like 81 point performance
on this track.
And then
you get to party next door, which
to me, I like it. I like
the way he sounded. I think the way
he added to the track
was improving upon it.
But some people may think it's a detriment.
and to those people you can't really say too much because i think sonically it is very much
an acquired taste so that brings me to my next point as finishing out this album as we're on track 17
only 21 tracks and well i say only is i mean it's like an hour and some runtime as far as the
album being considered i think it's uh if i look at the project it's an hour and 13 minutes
as far as musical content that's a lot so let's let's
listening to that again and again as far as party next door is a quiet taste that's the
elephant room are you going to get tired of party next doors addition to the album or are you going to
get to the point where you just accept accept him for the way he sounds and the way he uses
autotune over his uh over his natural vocals and that that's something that i want to be mad at if
somebody says you know what party next door is not for me because his style style of music is really
more of a quiet taste.
That's the best way I could put it.
But I do believe this track,
Celebrity is definitely a strong
R&B performance from Drake.
But as far as party next door,
it could be questionable.
So just like the track,
Crying and Chanel,
I think this may be a misstep on the second half.
Just like I think it was a misstep
on the first half of crying against Chanel.
Notice how I haven't said any of these tracks
are a misstep.
All these tracks are soft.
it beyond solid but as far as those particular tracks the first half of kron and chanelle
and the second half of celibacy i wouldn't be mad if somebody said it was a misstep so that being said
let's get into track number 18 titled o m y
