Ladies and gentlemen, I've been telling y'all that this is a PG podcast, right?
I didn't have my Pino, pause, slash Grigio, and I'm at my Grigio with the Pino on the front for the kids.
This is just a little water, none too crazy.
I'm saying.
I'm saying, just a little water, not too crazy.
So anyway, this is my first impression of some sexy songs for you, right?
We are on track 15 titled Die Trying.
Now, why am I showcasing what I use to get?
into this album because this is not no normal album ladies gentlemen this man went from singing in
spanish to a club anthem to a bona fide pop hit country infused beat and drake and parted next door
is sounding like the next coming of justin beber like they're sounding like the the next up
as far as the protege of justin beber as far as putting out this type of pop anthem this is insane
and having yebba on the track is another thing that makes it in
saying because Justin Bieber was rumored to be on this project. I would have to assume that he was
going to be on this particular track. But guess what? He's not. So with that being said,
I think when it comes to die trying and when it comes to the versatility showcase throughout
12 to 15, 12 is more of the usual party next door and Drake track, but it's still phenomenal.
12 to 15, I think, is more of, I'm not going to say a capsule yet because I have to wait a
As far as the sequencing, I'm listening to it before I give my first impressions, because I've already listened to it like three, four times, but I'm listening before it before I talk about the track again.
So I have to listen to 17, but as far as the versatility between 12 and 15, Drake should never be compared to hip-hop musicians again.
He should just only be compared to artists who make variety music.
I'm not saying hip-hop is like the sub-genre, so don't take it like that at all.
I cover hip hop for a reason.
I'm saying the variety level,
the way that he's able to switch it up
and give us a variety of genres
and still keep it high quality is unmatched.
It's just literally unmatched.
I think that is why he's consistently put up numbers
that's made him the most popular artist
not only in hip hop, but in the world.
He's consistently in the top five
whether it's taylor swift billy is the weekend bad bunny drake is usually always in the mix and now
this run from 12 to 15 is going to go down as one of the greatest runs in drake album history
as far as just showcasing why the world loves him because the way he gives us variety
but also gives us high quality and i even if you don't even think it's high quality
you have to at least say that going from meet your padre into no key
into die trying is insane as a musician.
You just have to admit that.
Like, if you ever try to create music
and then try to switch up to genre,
it's not an easy thing.
It's like going from one sport to the other.
This man is multifaceted to the highest degree.
And this is why he is the goat.
This is why I always refer to him
as the goat and the mascot of hip-hop
because of stuff like this.
And you notice I've been playing this drop a lot
because this project is one of them.
It's going to go down.
I have to sit with it because I have to give it some time, but this is up there.
This project is up there.
It's one of the greatest Drake albums of all time.
So anyways, with that being said, that's track 15.
Let's get into track 16 titled, Somebody Loves Me.
