crashing out because that's the elephant in the room if we really really want to get into it. The elephant in the room was never, are we going to get great Drake music again. The elephant in the room is him crashing out. I mean, this full-blown crash out mode, YN-type energy against UMG, essentially suing UMG for defamation because of Kendrick Lamar is not like us. records, a division of, yes, UMG recordings. Now, it was reported that UMG would not be under this project because they was trying to work some out behind the scenes as far as making this more of a party next door project. Obviously, that came out not to be true as UMG is indeed credited for this project. But the main thing going, you know, adding on to the elephant in the room is if this makes Drake a free agent. Because of this being a collaborative album, who knows if UMG will count it? Because right now the temperature, like the temp check is that Drake tried to act like he was bigger than the system. and now UMG wants to prove a point that this industry will go on without you do you all want to know the music market share of UMG currently there's a reason i call them the big dogs in the music industry currently UMG has a whopping 64% when it comes to the entire music market share Sony currently has 19% Warner has 14% and then the other smaller

labels and of course including independence as well they all accumulate to three so the entire 100% of the music market share UMG owns 64% of it I think that is very interesting for the simple fact that Drake's current album that's the most successful on the charts is take care and the reason why that's so significant is because if you don't know Take Careers back when everybody in the mom was talking about how Drake was signed to one man, that was signed to another, that was signed to two others, right? That's what that album came under. Isn't it interesting how the album that Drake has less of the royalties and percentages over as far as the Masters is the most popular?

Whereas we got Scorpions since Take Care, we've received certified level boys since Take Care. Her loss, objectively speaking, last year at the Billboard 24th, uh, I guess it would have been 25. But the Billboard awards for 2024, right, awarded for all the dogs as far as the most listened to rap album in the world. And Billboard is specifically objective. Nothing subjective like the Grammys are where they just come to a room and just pick their favorites, right? The Billboard's picked the actual objective winners throughout their entire year. So as far as the year of 2024, for all the dogs, was the most.

Fast forward to just one year later, there's nowhere on the charts, but take care is all the way at the 42nd most played album in the world. Now, am I calling foul play? Of course not. Because when it comes to using the system to get on top, you can't be mad when they do the same tricks to put you back at the bottom. Because if you benefited from it and you never said anything, And now they put you at a very limited exposure type of marketing promotion strategy. And now you're crying and sending lawsuits for the simple fact that you feel like they are deteriorating your value for the simple fact that you may become a free agent and they don't want to pay you as much as you want as far as your deal. I would compare it to Jimmy Butler in the heat on a drastic scale.

Like if LeBron was beefing with Nike and Nike was like, hey, how about you drop a LeBron shoe without the Nike logo? It's essentially going to sell. We don't know how much this overall body of work in the first week is going to sell. Because let's just look up Drake's career first week sales. Because as far as his last project, that I believe was with 21 Savage, if I'm not mistaken. it was actually for other dogs so for all the dogs came out 2023 her loss came out 22 so her loss with 21 savage sold 411000 for all the dogs sold 402,000 honestly never mind sold to 204,000 so basically when it comes to selling 400,000 that's what his last two projects did

honestly never mind was the lowest point in his entire career selling 200,000. $104,000 in his first week. I don't want this to happen because Drake is obviously my favorite artist, right? I mean, we're about to have a read-along in this entire body of work, and that's 21 tracks. We're going to go track by track

in this entire album, and you can't call me bias, because I did the same thing for Kendrick and GNX. So that being said, we're going to go through this throughout this entire body of work. But the main thing I want to just get across is that when it comes to Drake and his overall exposure is going to be limited because he crashed out and sued the label that put him on this global scale.

So exposure is going to be limited. They're already pulling trick. They're already pulling smoke and mirror tricks behind the scenes as far as having Sabrina Carpenter drop her deluxe edition on the same day that Drake is dropping his album when both artists are under the same label. It would make sense of Sabrina was under Sony, a Warner, or any other label, but she's under UMG. Usually UMG likes to spread out their artists dropping because overall market share, I mean, is going to happen either way as far as the totality. But as far as first week sales, it looks better when you go and keep this in mind. It looks better when you go to recoup on a tour or if you go to get an extension or a front for your next tour. and you can say you had a number one album with your last project it looks it sounds and it looks

way better than saying you had a number two obviously you could use numbers behind the scenes and that's a whole like this like lawyer talk but for the majority of discussions if you have a number one album your price goes up tremendously so with that being said i believe Sabrina carpenter's short and sweet deluxe will end up beating out this album by far in first week sales the quality of this album is so top tier I could see it not being a flop but I will have to admit

I could still see this being Drake's lowest selling album ever and his lowest selling album was honestly nevermind with 204,000 first week if this album does anything above that number I will come out

and say I was completely wrong I believe this album, some sexy songs for you where end up being Drake's lowest selling album of all time for the simple fact that you cannot bite the hand that feeds you as far as suing UMG and then thinking of going to promote your album like it's going out of style. So with that being said, getting back into my fandom, I enjoyed the album immensely. I just had to address the elephant in the room because that's the main thing. When I were never worried about Drake and his quality, right? I mean, he's the goat for the reason. He's a goat for a reason. I call him the goat because of what he did on Nokia

for what he did on Give Me a Hug. He literally gave us like a pop track on one of these. Yeah, die trying. It's Nokia. No, no, no. Me. Lasers to meet your Padre Nokia and to die trying. I ain't a lot.

That's going to go down in history as some of the best run. as far as a track list in Drake history. Like as far as going from lasers, Demetre Padre to Nokia to die trying, it's going to go down in history. It's one of the best runs in Drake's albums history. So I know I said I wouldn't exaggerate too much. I already exaggerated.
